I'll provide you a preliminary map at some point soon but I also have to talk to Xyrael about some border things in the north and to you.

Dear mapmaker and community,

Recent happenings around in the rp community got me thinking. Since the balance of power has been greatly affected in the Kalahari Sea I no longer saw a durability for the SQT, which I personally find a benchmark of rp here. Now recently a new guys has come around with this 'Slavic Federation' and it had me thinking since his concept was a conglomerate of small Slavic nations. If he stays around, which I hope he does, I intent on influencing his politics and moving him to eventually join the Kadikistani Union. But even if he doesn't stay I am very thrilled about the idea of doing some eastern conquest rp with Kadikistan. An rp which I hope to stretch out for years to come. Local politics, characters, skirmishes here and there, some purging and the extension of the Union.

Outside from my willingness to have an internal rp in that area I also think it would allow Kadikistan to maintain its role within the community, which I have been told is very important. And a third argument is that it would nicer and more Russia-like rather than the chicken-leg I have today. Initial doubts that I myself had over my size became less relevant given the presence of the new giants around me. Besides as recent weeks have shown it is also possible to to create new landmasses or even add a new continent if the growth continues. Last but not least, I have several ideas for an arctic rp which would make more sense with the extension.

I have put this before Engellex through PM and the discord community and received no negative advise. If anybody objects I will evidently see if my arguments are strong enough to counter them. All of this is also loose as Slavic Federation claimed this spot and while he has yet to post a single IC post, he reserved the rights of the plot.

I wouldn't mind Kadikistan growing (though I would mind the abandonment of what has been the basis for so much RP between us, the SQT). That being said, I do hope this doesn't start a frenzy of huge claims to make up for Kadikistan doubling in size. Also, I wouldn't mind this growth as long as it adds RP to the east (a region which has basically been ignored for as long as I've been here). That being said, since you say your growth would be based on Russia, would it follow the near-empty Siberian tundra in the middle and developing port cities in the eastern frontier model?

After discussing with Ruthenia-Galicia, OOCly, and talks with some neighbors, I've decided not to try and boot him out of his spot and I'll take the spot south of Bourgogne.

Thank you kindly.

An IC post will be coming soon, along with my factbook.

Also if this land has been open for so long why is it just now you want to claim all of the land right when I show up?

I won't just hand over my land, if you mean to take I guess there will be war.

Maybe it would make sense for you to take the spot currently labeled as Warr on the map? Considering you haven’t started RP yet I believe this would be rather non-disruptive and also facilitate some eastern coordination that had been planned.

Like I said in my initial point, one of my main arguments for this move was so that I could maintain the SQT rp, which you know I love. Basically, I have been surrounded lately by a series of superpowers or great regional powers, there is no way Kadikistan could have maintained something like the SQT with such powerful and large neighbours. Not that I have problems with new members, much the opposite, but the geopolitik of the region changed drastically. You should also know me better than being a power-rp'er. I come here for the stories, not to 'win'. Kadikistan wont triple in strength or something like that, I only plan on adding 20, maybe 30 mil people and leaving my current military lay-out pretty much untouched. You rightfully say that the east has been ignored for too long, this could help in changing that along with the new players in the region. Also I tried to say that I preferred the shape more Russia-esque than what I have today.

Unlike what Warr insinuated, there's no interest in taking it from you. There is an interest in you moving to the current spot Warre is in, or eventually considering a true federation (one country, two people) with Kadikistan, to have a truly Slavic Federation.

Guys, we found Tibur. Here it is.

In all seriousness, as Retalia is pretty much the only Tiburan-speaking country around (aside from Pelasgia, where Tibur is clearly not found), as nobody else really wanted anything to do with it, and as we're going on forever about it, I move to claim that Tibur, the cradle of western civilization, etc, etc, is in Retalia. As presented on the map below.

As such, I would also like two map modifications while at it, if it's not that much of a bother.
1) that Nichtstein be renamed to "Retalia"
2) that Tibur be added to the map

I also propose we have an island somewhere in the antarctic named "Not Tibur". To further clarify matters. :p

Have you considered one of the islands for Tibur? It could provide for a well-defensible position as a successful city-state in the early ancient period and be able to receive Pelasgian influence and trade across the Long Sea much like Rome in our world. From there, it can look towards expansionism over the other islands followed by a push to the mainland for more agricultural land to sustain a growing population. That could be the nucleus of our Tiburan Empire during the Classical period then. Plus a maritime raid from the Gauls in early classical Gallega sacking early Tibur (a pirate Brennus?) would be an interesting way to establish Celtiberians/Gallegans as Long Sea raiders as well as mercenaries for the Punics and Pelasgians when needed and spur Tibur's transition to a jingoistic society.

All your arguments make sense. And, in fact, I was tempted to slap it on an island. But in the greater scheme of things, I'd guess it doesn't really matter that much for Tibur to be on an island, as long as it's on a shore. I've placed it on the sea, so it's a port city, anyway. And, as such, it could expand both into the islands, as well as into the continent, get raided by vikings/gauls/british_tourists, trade with the Pelasgians, etc, etc.

So all of your thoughts can very well still be served by the location on the shore as provided above :)

The map provided also seeks to take what is two islands and sort of combine them as seen with the red-lines where the capital city is located. I feel that better attaches the island to the mainland of the nation. If that sort of editing is unacceptable, I may change the capital city and its location.

The map also details how this is a state which is in personal union. As far as politics go, references will be made between the two countries and if they can be shown as two different kingdoms on the map but under one monarch and one foreign policy that would be quite nice I think.

Do note that there's two untaken islands which make little sense to be left untaken, as I see it. So... just take them? ;)
