@Touzen I hope you remember where my 5 major mainland cities of Avalon (capital), Barceltia, Ceretia, Vermeillia, & Cortoba were placed in Justosia? If not please PM me.

Also for Vanguardia the Capital Girona smack in the middle of the first, northern most archipelago please. Other city of Severnia in the middle of the second archipelago right below it.

Also for that large island right off my southwest coast, in the northwest corner please put the city of Port Victoria. Whenever you get to it. Thank you so much.

If I have questions, I know where to look. No worries.

Hi, can you please ignore my last post in this thread regarding Natal and instead, delete Natal and it's cities from the map and replace it with Nobatia:

with the red dot being the capital, Faras, the green dot, Myos Hormos and the blue one Mzuzu.

The HFE is the historical old Holy Frankish Empire which was dominated by Bourgogne. My idea is to take the remnants of that HFE as smaller Duchies banded together as Petits-Pays which still functions with a similar style to the RL Holy Roman Empire, but on smaller scale.

Thanks for the info :)

Flexible NPC request

Like I've done a few times in the past I would like to formally request the inclusion of NPC Justiza in the Hamar Sea.
Justiza has been on the map for most of modern and 50s, the reasonning is the following.

-
-
Kadikistan tried to install an M-L regime using its local affiliates. The take-over fails. The then dominant naval powers in the Hamar Sea face off. First step towards SQT
Second Justinian Crisis
Justiza claims maritime lanes as territorial waters, Pelasgia and Kadikistan face off again, reach compromise, SQT is born. SQT is retconned to have been founded a bit earlier for consistency.

SQT has played a large role in global politics and it can not exist without Justiza and its strategic location.

It can be even less pixels then the black stuff, as long as its there.

These islands can also offer some fun for the region in the future. I don't have any plans, but I'd say its an ideal location for some mutually agreed RP in the future.

Naturally it wouldn't make sense if Justiza would suddenly be surrounded by islands so I guess this is also a plea to keep the area clear.

Alos here, since I found no objection I would take back control of my old baby boy Justiza to keep it clean and alive, I only ask to have the original map back in, I scaled it down a lot, I hope you can work with it, the islands on the south are particularly tiny, but were crucial in the past RP, so if you manage to get them on the map it would be best, I already omitted the smaller one

So long as your future neighbors approve, sure! @Brazul

It had already existed on the map and with RP. Requiring approval from a yet to appear neighbour - when none existed during its time on the map, and shouldn't have been removed, seems exceptional.

To clarify, the Sovereignties are merely an evolution of ETCOS and EPS (hence Sovereignties).

A lot of things were lost as pretty much the entirety of 2019 was retconned, and many decisions were made between myself, others in the mapmaking crew, and via the opinions of other players, all of which unsure of how the future might look. We weren’t even sure if you were going to come back, much less come back with the a similar Engellexic RP. A decision was made to keep Engellex on the map, but remove what seemed like a colonial RP taken from a nation which isn’t even on the map any longer and moved from its original location as far as we could remember... additionally next to your own nation and exactly where there was talk of either of Revy and Kyiv putting a primary nation.

Now you’ve returned and wish to have it back.

I understand your point of view. That said, I don’t find it so burdensome to have @Brazul consent. He will be mapped on the next published map. Considering that I also asked on the topic of Justizia for the consent of the forum and those impacted, I don’t find my request difficult or out of the ordinary. My opinion is obviously subjective, but I find it fair because I’m asking the same thing of all forum members.

The folks behind Justizia worked fantastically on getting the background behind Justizia together and having nearly unanimous consensus on having Justizia return.

Anyhow, if we include this post, Revy will have been pinged twice on the subject. If he has no input by the time the map is published, depending on the time elapsed, I may decide to add it without his opinion. You are also welcome to make a thread and get the input of the forum at large, especially getting your other neighbors @Johnston Isle and @Beautancus involved as well. I want to make it clear, I’m not blocking it but trying to maintain fair standards between all forum members.

I appreciate that with every new map maker something new, different is made to the process and, it may be fair within the standards you are outlining in the role; I don't believe the standards I maintained during my period were in any way lesser or unfair.

It was from that sense of fairness that, when Kadikistan went inactive following the war with Eiffelland (correct me if I am mistaken on that) and others had expressed opinions pushing for its greening, I didn't believe we were at the point of greening though I encouraged discussions. I felt it was more appropriate and fair to phase a removal from the map beginning with colonial/puppet holdings, not unlike what you have done with myself, and work from there. I held it to be conditional that, should he return reasonably enough they could and should be returned without issue, and that is how that was handled. A similar condition was put in place for Nichtstein with respect to Eiffelland taking over Retalia.

Those were the standards to which I worked with, to be compromising and supportive. I accept yours are different, I do, and also a feeling of unfairness given the timing of my attempts to piece things together just as the rules are changed.

I don't believe it is burdensome to seek consent and support, even collaboration, when establishing a colonial territory. I do believe it is burdensome to do so twice, the lack of national concept on the forum and RP are also valid points but unnecessary to expand on. As map maker I sought consent and approval from the forum on map issues relating to myself, just as I enforced expectation of such on everyone else.

in the map thread to assume control over Ivernia's colony. I had discussed creating ETCOS with neighbouring players before making that application and received approval.

in the map thread for the moving and consolidating of colonial territories within the location of Occidentia, as they were prior to you removing them. Again, I had discussed this with others, including Beautancus, and received approval.

It would be right and fair to note that my consent was neither sought or needed when adding Aresura and the Transimplarian Republic to the map, a point that I am not necessarily being critical about. Nor was it when I added your previous colonial territory next to former Clarenthia. During that time, I believe, the majority opinion was against requiring such consent, even from yourself.

The lack of Ivernia on the map is entirely irrelevant, alterations and make-do I am well adjusted to, as I am sure others who have territories on the map, where the original nation/player no longer exists, are.

What I am asking is that you make a simple exception to your new rules. To approach this issue with an applied continuation of the former rules just once, and given it appears everyone else is reasonably content with their such issues (AS mapped out, for example), I believe it would be just once. When I returned to the forums and accepted my being replaced as the map maker (of course), other than genuine disappointment with myself, I felt positive with the opportunity to focus solely on world building and RP. As you know, or will soon know, map making consumes a fair bit of free time and resources.

Even though nobody ever sought out my consent for anything and I now must grovel for theirs, I appreciate you taking on this role.

With that said, as on resolving this one-way-or-another I doubt I will be looking in here much, NoCRUR (former Engellex) is no longer an English homeland/motherland. It is for myself and, I believe, Beautancus, still. Though to be assisting for others, I fully support players establishing another 'England' for their RP in the future, if need be. Just don't call it Engellex. ;)

Since saw was tagged, I don't have a problem with his colony (idk if that's what it was/is) since it had existed before and I understand things happen. But that's my .02, I wouldn't be opposed/have a ruckus over it if it comes back into being.

I would never dare suggest you were unfair. I just have to try to maintain fairness under my own term as mapmaker.

It was from that sense of fairness that, when Kadikistan went inactive following the war with Eiffelland (correct me if I am mistaken on that) and others had expressed opinions pushing for its greening, I didn't believe we were at the point of greening though I encouraged discussions. I don’t disagree with anything you’ve stated here.

in the map thread to assume control over Ivernia's colony. I had discussed creating ETCOS with neighbouring players before making that application and received approval.

in the map thread for the moving and consolidating of colonial territories within the location of Occidentia, as they were prior to you removing them. Again, I had discussed this with others, including Beautancus, and received approval.
I appreciate the links, and will be reviewing the matter with others in the administration.

On a personal level, I think I would agree. Yet I am not running the map on my own personal feelings but a standard of rules that were rather hastily put together looking back to a more rigid period of time.

The lack of Ivernia on the map is entirely irrelevant, alterations and make-do I am well adjusted to, as I am sure others who have territories on the map, where the original nation/player no longer exists, are.
True.

Indeed, I do know, having run it once upon a time in the past. I still see myself running this map on an interim basis (as the administration felt the lack of a new map would beginning to hit a crisis point) and will stop doing the map at some point in 2020. Or so that was my intention... we’ll see how it goes.

I feel as if I am play favorites or already being loose with the map rules if I make an exception. As such, I’ll would have to consult with the forum at large to feel comfortable making an exception. I don’t want exceptions made to the map as arbitrary decisions I make, but rather decisions the forum consents and desires.

Even though nobody ever sought out my consent for anything and I now must grovel for theirs, I appreciate you taking on this role.
Interesting that you mention this, and this sentence of yours is really what has me responding at length to this post. We (yes, several of us) considered the fact that nobody had to consult you when joining the Engellosphere, or be placed around you. Much of that leading to a great deal of discontent and dissatisfaction for you as a player. So much so, we’ve seen how you’ve now locked the Engellosphere to just yourself and Beautancus. Nicely, not so much so as to locking out a future “England” if needed for RP purposes.

Anyhow, considering your point of view on the topic, or at least the second hand opinion of your view, as we did not have you here to express it... we felt that regional building ought to involve neighbors a bit more to prevent players from feeling as though their work was being stepped on. So this is sort of why I have been asking for others opinions and attempted consensus in a variety of additions to the map.

Of course I’ve been quite liberal with changes to the map in other senses with the changes in Gallia spurred on obviously by the fact it was actually empty. I hope the new Reman Sea (That can be renamed if desired, as I put very little thought into the name), will lead to interesting role play.

Lastly, sorry if I sound stern or something, I’m just trying to write this as quickly as possible as I’m a bit short on time.

That said, as I stated somewhere before, I’ll discuss this with other folks in the administration. Everyone else on the forum is also able to give their opinion if they wish.

I think we can't offer one simple exception to one person, than someone else will ask and someone else.

Not to pretend that I'm the authority on any of this, but I'll agree with Taffy here. After making such a fuss about Coro having to follow the rules, I cannot do otherwise in good conscience.

I was planning to post this eventually, but given that it came up in discussion, I'll post it here. Please feel free to remove my colony from the map. I do not intend to return to RPing it, so it takes up space others players could better use.
Might I ask that this be paused, temporarily? I have been thinking of restarting that RP, as my current main RP is nearing the end of its arch. If you feel it must be removed for fairness, feel free to do so, and I'll re-apply when I have a new factbook and RP thread down for it, as the current ones are based on an outdated version of Pelasgia. Thanks, and sorry for any inconvenience.

I haven’t taken it off the map yet, and I’ll leave it on as it’s less work for me to do.

I believe I've officially hit 30 posts...and in that time I've made some changes to city placements. On the official map, can you use this as reference for Auraria?

Thanks!

Addendum: Could you rename it to "Pelasgian Southern Himyar"? Just to avoid problems with name changes as the colony's status changes.
