Bajororzág is more than willing to trial the Eiffellander suggestion alongside the current trialists currently remaining from Tarusa and Serbovia. As usual we hold our CSEAC friends in high-esteem and to further integrate our defense with Eiffellander systems could prove cost effective for Pannonia's common defense.

My Ministry thanks your Mr. Westphal for your help and look forward to see your ship in trials.

Sincerely,
Ádam Szczesny
Press Officer

OOC: If you wish to post the particulars of your ship(s), you can do so in this thread:

Introducing Prime Minister Zoltán Kovács
• Center-left Socialist Party fails to gain the nod of János Csonka
• Far-right Forward Pannonia makes Government with Christian Social Workers Party and Justice and Life Party.

• Kovács vows to maintain abortion laws and punish the accused Antonio Battara

KISPEST — Zoltán Kovács was right. He laid down the gauntlet on Monday saying he'd won the support to win the Prime Minister job and he did just that.

Zoltán Kovács✔@dontmesswiththezoltan
Their were doubters, the losers! They said that I can't into the the Preim Minister position and here I am. I'm telling you that I am Prime Minister tomorrow and I have the votes. I guarantee it! The socialists won't stop me! #winning #bookit #yourgonnalikethewayyoulook

His ascent is largely based on his loud binary rhetoric which has appealed to nationalists and Tiburan Catholic conservatives, slowly eating away at János Csonka's base. Csonka has given him the keys to the car that is Bajororzság in hopes that his own unruly style can perhaps weaken his position where he would be primed to win seats from Csonka's own National People's Party. This make shift passive alliance between Forward Pannonia and the National People's Party seems centered on support form Vrijpoort based hedge fund opinions and conservative alliances from Vistarika.

Although the government coalition only makes up 32% of Parliament, the leftist coalition could not create voting block large enough to break the 50% +1 required to prevent this government from moving forward as the National People's Party owns 31% of the seats themselves and did not vote down this Government. The Socialist Party criticized the new Government as inherently undemocratic. Socialist Party leader Kristóf Ferdinand Bognár described today's events as, "a somber day for democracy when a nation is governed by a group that is not a majority."

The new Prime Minister snapped back immediately, "Just yesterday Mr. Bognár was ok with this arrangement if he was the one winning. We have communist snakes in this country which are only ok with the results when they win."

Protests erupted again in front of Parliament and maintained a peaceful tone, yet as usual those who have not respected the curfew have been arrested. Prime Minister Kovács has suggested that if protest do not end by the end of the week, he will take radical action against protestors. "Ending these protests is a promise I can make to the people of this country and the world."

Kovács currently maintains an approval rating of about 40% but that has no bearing on procedure in Parliament as János Csonka is the only person that holds the proverbial Uno reverse card and ability to move his 32% of Parliament in another direction. Knowing this, Kovács has to maintain policy that Csonka will not be outraged by; however, Csonka wants to give Kovács enough freedom for his popularity to hopefully wane and thus empower his own position in the polls. An insider to National People's Party politics described this as a bit of a gamble, "we have to hope that the voters don't see our party as complicit in any government actions by association and thus move their loyalties to the left. I think we'll be fine though, the voters don't want communism."

The narrative of holding up the Socialist Party as communists has been a continued go to for Kovács and has been adopted by the National People's Party in hopes to keep their own position.

Battara Found Guilty, Sentenced to Life Imprisonment! Zarans Outraged!
• The trial had little evidence and had Kovács fingerprints on it
• Death penalty refused as judge does not believe the evidence is strong enough

• Zarans in outrage as Battara is guilty and yet no relief given to murdered women
• Parts of Zara are in violent protest

KISPEST — Antonio Battara was found guilty of two accounts of murder and one account of attempted murder. Severity is determined by the judge in Bajorország. The verdict was decried as influenced by Prime Minister Zoltán Kovács, and has been criticized as without any merit as the evidence has only been circumstantial. While initially public opinion was against Battara, the murder of yet another woman while Battara was in custody has swung public opinion the opposite direction and the ruling has been seen as a slap in the face against the Zaran population.

The trial hinged heavily on the association of Antonio Battara with the women that were murdered and the alibi provided by his girlfriend which was seen as unsure or biased. Normally such a failure of physical evidence might be considered not good enough for a guilty verdict, so the Twats and public pressure applied by Prime Minister Kovács have been seen as instrumental in conclusion of the case. The lawyers for Mr. Battara have stated that they plan to appeal to a high court, however as this crime transpired over multiple regions, it already occurred in the second highest possible court leaving little room for further appeals.

Battara has avoided the death penalty and that has disappointed those involved in the Kovács Government which wanted to see him hang for his crimes.

Meanwhile, Zara has opened up in full riot as government buildings have been attacked and locations in especially Eastern Zara have seen looting and arson. There have been key differences between the reactions of Zaran depending on geography as West Zara with its larger German minority has largely been peaceful.

Protests in Eastern Zara have flown a nationalistic flag and demanded that the Kovács Government step down. Yet Eastern Zara on the border with Serbovia is also home to some Serbovian minorities which have openly attacked some rioters, especially in border cities.

Prime Minister Kovács has determined that he will send in the Army in the morning, and they have begin to be mobilized in order to secure the peace. Yet Zarans are even less pleased with this development as protests over the last weekend were attacked by unmarked cars which arrested individuals and would often release them on the opposite side of the country if they could not charge the individual with any crime. This has been criticized in even ethnic German regions especially, although Parliament did not address the issue at all on Monday or Tuesday.

Opposition leader Bognár has attacked the Kovács Government as tyrannical, but Kovács still enjoys support in Parliament to hold his government in place.

East Zara In Full Revolt as Kovács Appointed General Removes New Flag
• Gunshots and several dead in Wekerletelep
• Removed flag becomes rallying cry as former General feared

• Zarans to organize a Congress in Remion
• Csonka under house arrest after praising Army for restraint

WEKERLETELEP — The sound of sporadic gunshots fills the air in the East Zaran city of Wekerletelep, or as the Zarans have gone to now renaming it Gonzaga. With the familiar red and white stripes for a long week replaced by green and white stripes there seemed to be a certain feeling of open rebellion. Now fired General Tamás Sarka understood the gravity of the situation carefully treading the various interest groups in Wekerletelep which struggled to put forward a real agenda. General Sarka which arrived to see his armored tanks covered in eggs and tomatoes, managed to keep calm and security in the city. Earning some praise from the locals which were cooperative.

Prime Minister Kovács sacked General Sarka due to the optics of him not having removed the green and white striped flag after a week, an odd condition to thrust into the limelight despite the progress being made to calm down the atmosphere. Former Prime Minister János Csonka having travelled to Wekerletelep in hopes to score extra political points praised General Sarka and the progress made in the city. As the region has since become violent, he is now under a house arrest locked down in his luxury hotel room.

New General Dominik Bokari immediately stormed the city hall pulling down the flag and replacing it with the standard red and white stripes of Bajorország. The action white not particularly eventful spread across the town as a more violent action. News that the flag was torn to pieces and burned after it was removed spread across the town which was perhaps itching for a reason to turn violent. The news coupled with the disgust of local leaders has caused a new sense of unity among the various interest groups in Wekerletelep, which has since met in what they are calling the Congress of Gonzaga, held in Gonzaga Hall, where the symphony orchestra meets. The city now being referred to that name by the Zaran populace, a name which traces itself back now extinct dukes that once were independent in the region.

The Congress of Gonzaga has declared the city to be in open revolt against Kispest, and concluded that it would meet in Remion and take advantage of the open border for Zarans. They've also left an open invitation for other cities in the region to join them in Mediola in order to determine the future of Zara in Bajorország. Zara itself is the entire southern region of Bajorország and it is unlikely to find absolute harmony between the various ethnic groups in this southern region which also includes ethnic Germans, Serboves, and Csengans.

In the meantime, General Bokari has started a very strict 17.00-10.00 hours curfew, and ordered all bars and nightclubs closed to prevent large meetings. The curfew has kept the city violent at night where gunfire at random soldiers on patrol can be found with fire returned at random windows and balconies. Soldiers themselves are afraid to venture outside of their patrol vehicles in fear of violent resistance.

The developments in the region has prompted severe ridicule in Parliament, but with Csonka stuck in Wekerletelep, there is not much coordination among the various groups in Parliament to come to a coordinated response. Prime Minister Kovács still maintains strong support in the polls among lower-income citizens across the nation, and the rebellious Zarans have produced a rally around the flag sort of response in many corners of the nation. There is however no appetite in polling to go to war, with many Bajorans wanting to find a solution in support with neighboring Remion and Serbovia.

We understand that the events in Zara are an internal matter of Bajorország. However, we also see that the events in Zara result into consequences to Bajorország's neighbourcountries, and are threatening to destabilise the whole region. It is in the special interest of Bajorország and of our part of Europe that the conflict in Zara comes to an end in the form of a long-term solution. We call upon the government of Bajorország and the rebels in Zara to start negotiations as soon as possible, whereever the location.

Tanks Roll into East Zara in Response to Terrorist Plot
• Tanks level apartment complex where metro bombs were made
• Ten men arrested on charges of terrorism and sedition

• Counterattacks have killed 2 soldiers
• Metro attack survivors fund created for the hurt and the diseased families

WEKERLETELEP — Nearly a week after the terrorist attacks on the Kispest Metro, Pannonia's own tanks came into the East Zaran self-proclaimed capital city in the middle of the night. Army special forces conducted raids on key houses and afterwards a building that was considered a "hotspot" for terrorist activity was forcibly evacuated and ten men were arrested. The tanks would then demolish the building located about 2km from the city center as military officials worried it would be covered in traps designed to kill or maim troops. The men have been held and transfer to jails in Kispest and charged with an act of terrorism resulting in murder, and sedition.

The attacks have damaged the psyche of Pannonians as the events in Zara suddenly came to the doorsteps of the capital and more violently than experienced before. The Kovács Government has experienced divided opinions on his handling of the crisis but his strong-arm tactics appear to be popular enough to cement his status and popularity across the nation. The vast majority of his support coming from rural regions, Csengans, and ethnic Serboves in the East.

Protests that have gripped the nation continuously since January 1st have now come to a stop, as the most vocal opponents seem to have changed their style of rebellion, preferring to coordinate their actions in defiance of the military regime that has appeared in Eastern Zara. Zarans enjoy little support throughout the rest of the nation too as the terrorist attacks have dented support for the cause. The Congress of Gonzaga is not unaware of this and has disavowed the ZLA and condemned the terrorist attack to mixed approval.

The ZLA has continued activity unabated however, and is held responsible for the deaths of two soldiers in Wekerletelep last night. Meanwhile there are reports that Kovács has been angered by the lack of real results. The ZLA has no clear leadership for him to scream at and even getting angry at a congress does not seem to feel good his usual divisive Twatter strategy.

The Metro Attack Survivors Fund has been established and accepts donations for those dead or injured and their families. They've seen a large amount of donations already getting over 5 million in donations.

East Zaran Republic is declared as "Repubblica Eugeniana" or Eugenia
• Named after Alexandrian War Field Marshal known as Prince Eugene
• One day after the sudden declaration of the Republic of Bourdignie

• New name is supposed to resonate with all parties as an appeal to history in Zara
• Kovács decries it as a theft of history

KISPEST — The proclamation of the Republic of Bourdignie was a massive surprise across the nation as the majority French speaking Bourdignie decided to go its separate path from Bajorország. Their proclamation again not recognized by Kispest. Furthermore Kispest has stated it has no intention of holding a referendum on any independence issue. Kovács has said that if people want to leave this fraternity of peoples they would have to vote him out.

The polarization caused by Prime Minister Kovács has resulted in the subjects of national unity to become polarizing issues as opposition parties begin to support independence movements as a reflection of their dissatisfaction of Kovács. Former supporters of János Csonka divided and unable to come to terms with the reality of the nation are unable to mobilize themselves politically as a unified party. This is largely because of the result of János Csonka being placed under house arrest and unable to communicate with his party openly. Only his wife has been in contact with him saying that he is in good spirits, but very disappointed with how the nation has responded to his unjust imprisonment.

Eugenia in theory claims its borders as East Zara, with its capital in Gonzaga. The name of the new Republic coming from the Prince Eugene who is held up as a hero across Bajorország for his marvelous defense of Bajorország during the Alexandrian Wars. The Prince himself spoke mostly French in order to mingle with the courts in the Holy Frankish Empire, but his estate and lands were in modern Zara. He was an international man living also in Vistarika and modern Remion for a time. Kovács has said that the name of the new Republic is a theft of history, as the Prince "belongs to Bajorország, not traitors."

Eugenia has sent representatives to Remion, Serbovia, Eiffelland, Vistarika, Nitra, and the Holy Frankish Empire in hopes to get one of the neighboring powers to recognize their independence. The Congress of Gonzaga was apparently determined with the announcement of Bourdignie they needed to immediately proclaim their own Republic in order to not lose the initiative. However as it stands the current territory that Eugenia controls is not firmly in their own hands as Wekerletelep is firmly occupied by the Pannonian Army. However, the Army has not been able to spread their forces thin without fear of losing men. The Army has reported twelve casualties in the campaign thus far and military brass does not want to expand the conflict. If casualties become too onerous and conflict too extreme, generals worry that a division between Zara and Pannonia could become permanent. An anonymous source stating, "Kovács maybe means well, but he's throwing matches into a petrol station while we are holding the petrol leaks with our thumbs."

Furthermore with the newly proclaimed Bourdignie, there is a worry that the military cannot respond to anything that happens there. The Army is deployed in East Zara and in defensive positions along the border with Remion. There is a slight fear that Remion may immediately march forward if the military commits any forces to the north. Insiders in the Kovács Government have suggested that so long as the conflict is civil, Remion may just hold their forces at the border. Thus when apartment buildings are demolished such as in an example suspending military shipments with Eiffelland, top brass find themselves exasperated. "There are too many holes in this dyke, and the Generals are running out of fingers."

Kovács himself is not blind to this however, and rumors of aid from Tarusan corporate sources has apparently been spoken of within the Government. Yet there is a slight worry to this idea as well. The struggles between Serbovia and Tarusa in Thrakia are well-known and such an invitation may prompt protest from Serbovia.

Meanwhile internationally, governments have been hesitant to recognize any of these breakaway governments. Many other nations have their own ethnic minorities that are probably watching their own government's statements with great interest. Yet patience might also be wearing this with Zoltán Kovács abroad. His twatter posts are not kindly received abroad lowering popular opinion of Pannonia abroad. Our anonymous source stating in worry, "if Pannonia is not well-liked by its neighbors because of Kovács policies, they may decide to reshape Pannonia into the neutral, calm, buffer zone between empires that it often has held historically. It isn't good for all these large powers to have an unstable neighbor right in the middle of them. There grows the chance for conflict like there was in the 19th century."

Fear and Loathing in Kispest: Kovács is on a Journey to Nowhere
• Options are few and far between as Kovács allies lose flight access
• Kovács is being backed into a proverbial corner as opinion polls weaken

• Divisions of within the nation muddy possible routes forward as Kovács tries to unilaterally cancel CSEAC
• Worry of more republics declared in the near future

KISPEST — The actions taken abroad over the previous week have wounded the members of the Forward Pannonia, which can no longer fly the national carrier Balért to destinations around the country. Instead they have found themselves taking the train. Furthermore with assets frozen in connection with Federation banks, there have been worries that if such action is mimicked by other nations, members of the Forward Pannonia movement could find themselves without any liquid assets.

There is general belief that such restrictions would not occur in famously banking independent Vrijpoort; however, these aren't the only concerns.

Historically Bajorország is linked if not married to its central location on the continent and Kovács twatting his cancelling of CSEAC has now angered the wealthy German population in Bécs and in West Zara which thrives on trade and were large proponents of the new free trade paradigm put in place by former and now under house arrest Prime Minister János Csonka. With that under threat, the Mayor of Bécs Edgar Müller has invited diplomats that set up shop in Bécs for CSEAC to remain on business with the city of Bécs. The mayor hopes to keep the foreign ties in the city, especially as there is a great deal of worry that Bajorország may be falling to pieces. If the Csengian and German regions were to hypothetically separate in this schism that now develops under the regime of Zoltán Kovács, Bécs could stand to maintain a great deal of importance to the region leaving Zoltán Kovács behind.

Müller spoke to reporters today saying, "the far-right wishes to embark on cancel culture whenever reality doesn't speak to their truths." Müller himself a member of the centrist Democratic Party. Meanwhile noise to his left from the Socialist Party has urged him to instead embrace Kovács attempt to leave CSEAC. A rare alignment from the left and far-right. The blending of political policies has suggested a sort of horseshoe political theory at work and complicated politics further.

However, Conservatives in the German speaking regions are not so swift to act. Ultimately maintaining the union of regions is better for the various economies, and especially preferable to the destruction of war.

Impromptu protests in Bécs demanded the release of János Csonka, but the Government insists a new story where Csonka was collaborating with Zaran terrorists and thus his investigation must be completed before he can be released.

Meanwhile three towns in French speaking Pannonia have elected to join the Republic of Bourdignie which is starting to have a degree of territorial shape appear that is not yet continuous but now at least composed of seventeen towns including it's capital city of Versoix. The largest city in the region known as Soizbaug, or more commonly as Bellevue among the French speakers is split on whether or not to join. Some suggest it may rather declare its own independence as a unique entity as the city is rather split between German and French speakers.

Lastly, divides between West and East Zara are beginning to weaken as a town in West Zara known as San Paolo has declared itself now as part of Remion. This has been seen a bit nonsensical as it is not even on the border of Remion, but instead at least 200km northwest of Remion. There is hope among residents of the town that it may spark others to also declare allegiance to Remion, which they have deemed the only power able to end this madness. Gonzaga which has been recognized as capital of Eugenia by at least Vultur in Remion has voiced support for San Paolo.

The Big Trouble With War
• Bajorország cannot stand without the support of its neighbors
• A largely broken military is in no place to defend anyone's interest
• Kovács with little room to maneuver and no ability to get peace talks

• Nation on eggshells as dissolution looks inevitable

KISPEST — Any true professor of history would know exactly how and why Bajororzság exists. It is a construct or perhaps mistake of history that began with the Alexandrian Wars. Judging by the current actors involved, it would appear that this would be the final chapter of the Alexandrian Wars over 200 years later.

A union designed to collect the variety of ethnic groups in the middle of the continent and bottle them up into a petite region that would neither be threatening nor difficult to deal with, Bajorország, or Pannonia as it is commonly referred to around the world is purely a buffer state. Linking the important and historical empires of the region, the Pannonians are a construct of politics. Originally a much smaller Germanic Kingdom centered in Bécs-Altstadt, the Alexandrian Wars hit the region like a hammer to the anvil destroying this Germanic Kingdom and creating a multiethnic Kingdom that would not be able to survive the democratization of the world in the late 19th century. The Pannonian Republic which was designed to take into account the various ethnic groups was a compromise. Bolstered by its neighbors, the Pannonians would exist not to the detriment of the region, but as a symbol for peace. Nations such as Eiffelland, H.F.E., Vistarika, and Serbovia would not war against each other with Bajorország in the way. Additionally, Bajorans would be strong enough to defend themselves from any expansionist policies of her neighbors, with her security also largely covered by those same neighbors. Thus an unwritten rule in Bajor's politics was written, foreign policy needed to be aligned with all of Bajororzság's neighbors. When policy deviated, or the security of a neighbor was in peril, the security of Bajororzság was put at risk.

This same dynamic also existed for Pannonia's neighbors. There is no purpose for the existence of this medley union of nations if it did not also provide harmony to the region as well. In this current disruptive state, there is no purpose for the continued existence of Bajorország for anyone, the citizens of Bajorország included. This is the magic of Zoltán Kovács, the man who rushed to the pinnacle of power in a heartbeat after an abortion law crisis spurred on deeper divisions with the hateful rhetoric of Prime Minister Kovács. Other politicians have checked out of the debate as well sensing there was little that they could do with the current political mechanisms. There are fears among conservatives to backdown, and a lack of political options to consider for Bajor's liberals.

Despite the desire for a show of strength, there is a slight problem for the far-right in Pannonia. The military is not well armed enough to repulse any full attack. Pannonia's military is designed to compliment shortcomings that might exist in campaigns launched by the H.F.E., Eiffelland, or Vistarika. It is not designed to defend the nation itself. This is something seasoned political insiders would have known, and something far-right leaders did not anticipate. Military leaders have had to stress that the Pannonian Army, Air Force, and Navy did not have the resources to execute many of the ideas that originated in the Kovács Government and this has caused tension within the military. Military leaders have been sacked and replaced by others who are more "yes, man" oriented but that has not improved Pannonia's military capacity. This is largely played the biggest role in the Kovács Government accepting foreign fighters. Insiders knew if Remion wanted to invade Zara, they could, and they would win.

Compounding the problem, the Pannonian Military has seen a rash of desertions and resignations. Zarans were part of the military for example, and many if not most have left now that foreign troops have entered the picture. The result is that a militia of sorts has developed in multiple regions, even in regions that haven't declared independence. This will present itself as a problem for any unified Pannonian military interests. The quality of the training of these military servicemen was not the problem, but rather the state of the equipment they used which often dated to the 1970s, the last conflict that Pannonia embarked on. Should these militia receive proper equipment, or even Pannonia's regulars improve their equipment, they could be a decent fighting force.

Kovács however has no time to get his military fixed. His efforts for peace talks have been rebuffed by Remion and its allies such as Josepania, Natal, and the Federation. He will soon have to challenge the no-fly zone, otherwise it is arguable whether or not Zara is even part of Pannonia any longer. When this happens, a state of war will exist and the region will plunge into conflict. Kovács is not a total fool however and likely knows this. He is likely moving into defensive military positions and getting his own strategy in order before he formalizes the war.

Currently strategy appears to be focused on a defense of Zara. Foreign military units are advancing to these positions, and currently abandoning much of a strategy to combat Bourdignie to its north. There appears to be a worry within the Kovács Government that a two front war will spell doom to the regime, especially since the Pannonian military is stretched thin on one front.

The upstart republics however have openly embraced their returning soldiers and the new militias may likely become official military units. Eugenia which has been reluctant to pursue an open agenda, is likely banking on the support from Remion to push them over the top. Operating still from Remion's soil, they signal to local politicians in Remion that should Eugenia be successful, they will have a referendum on joining Remion. West Zara meanwhile is fragmented and looking to be a difficult region to solve. Academics there have suggested that the region be split up and assigned to various factions as a means remove the region from conflict; however, the no-fly zone seems to imply that it will be absorbed into Eugenia at some point. Bourdignie on the other hand now possesses support from nearly 80% of Gallic speaking regions, and even some German speaking towns as well. Bécs meanwhile is thought to be desiring its own Republic and continued relationship to CSEAC. This has left a Pannonia that is only Serbove and Csengian, no doubt needing reform and restructuring but seemingly now allied to Tarusa.

It needs to be made clear what the end goals for Kovács and Tarusa are. Do they seek a forever united Pannonian state? It may prove difficult to achieve considering the state of Pannonia's military. If they are willing to come to the table and agree to dissolving Pannonia, then Tarusa may stand to gain a direct ally and outpost that it can help modernize and give it a foot in the region. There are major questions for the end goals of all of the players in this conflict that only a real meeting can achieve. Yet, through military might the borders could be drawn up in ways that might swing wildly to one faction. Pannonia awaits the next days which will likely determine a great deal of the region's future.

The New Status Quo
• Bajorország collects strength, but so do the breakaway nations
• Former Bécs Region breaks away from Bécs-Altstadt and joins Bourdignie Confederation
• Eugenia's Congress declares intent to join Remion should future referendum be successful

KISPEST — Pannonia's Parliament which is currently a shell of its former self with empty seats leaning even more lopsided power to Zoltán Kovács' Forward Pannonia! party, passed an act with the aim of restore the military. The Parliament approved of three new military branches which officially detach any reference to Pannonia or Bajorország in name. The new National Army, Air Force and Navy, are to be established as replacements for the old Pannonian Army, Air Force, and Navy. The new establishments are going to install loyalists and the fresh start will hopefully fill in holes in senior staff, officers, and the current breakdown in chain of command that exists in large swaths of the service.

Yet as the new National Military begins its reformation, crucial supplies have arrived in Bourdignie and Hohensee. The supplies have allowed their far more organized soldiers to advance on their current positions without much resistance as the Kovács Government remains focused on Remion with good reason as the two respective armies have been facing each other for the last month. The Pannonian Army has had to reposition itself constantly with different camouflages in order to attempt to confuse the spy planes which consistently fly over.

Bourdignie's troop movements have allowed their forces to move further inland and take key positions in the mountainous region further north. They were celebrated as they advanced into the last Frankish-Patois speaking region. There seems to be a race between the Pannonian and Bourdignian forces to the Eiffelland border which may represent a third line of potential supply into Bourdignie (the other two being the lake/canal, and the Holy Frankish Empire). Meanwhile Bourdignie has doubled in size and potential troops with the addition of the Former Bécs Region to the Confederation which now contains Bourdignie proper, Hohensee, and the new region calling itself Waldstätte. The new Frankish-Patois region is expected to proclaim itself as a new independent republic as well, which would advance the Bourdignie Confederation to four members.

Meanwhile as the Pannonian Army and Army of Remion stare at each other, Eugenia has declared itself of having the end goal of unifying with Remion in some fashion. Eugenia does not have the ease in which to supply itself and the overwhelming support and contacts in Remion have apparently swayed members that a small republic is not sustainable it is location and the fact that West Zara does not appear to be easily being absorbed into Eugenia has complicated the assumptions made by the Congress which assumed the rest of the region would eventually join them. Instead, local militias now attack each other in West Zara as desires to join various sides and take territory for their side seem to be a growing trend. Csengians which live in the region actively work against the Germans and Zara, which are not always aligned themselves.

The fact that a state of war does not exist between the actual governments involved has not meant that a war is not happening while media and diplomats concentrate on keeping the peace between the major players. Militias and personnel from the new "Confederated Alliance" move quickly and without much impediment.

The Well is Poisoned
• News from the EF is going very poorly
• EF failures have begun the military crusade directly into West Zaran territory
• Eugenia's Congress again declares intent to unify with Remion

KISPEST — There was a great deal of hope in Csengan circles that the Baron's Plan in the European Forum (EF) would go well. Achieving a ceasefire would have likely been the first step to peace, and failures on the first step to peace have been repetitive for Pannonia and now Csengia. General Horvath, who now leads the Republic of Csengia and the Two Zaras, has expressed dismay in private circles that Remion will not agree to any ceasefires if they do not directly agree to Remion's viewpoints. The current Press Secretary for General Horvath, Luckács Nemes commented on the issue directly, "General Horvath wants a ceasefire based on current positions in order to have important discussions on the issues at hand. Remion continues to explain that we are buying time? What time? We have everything we need. The momentum is shifting towards total war, because we will fight to the last man if that means saving our country."

General Horvath has slowly begun a military build up on various sections along the border with East Zara. He has aims already to solidify his current gains. Eugenia currently claims territory that borders Bourdignie and the sea, yet does not control either of these regions. In these locations, locals that speak Tiburan are being actively displaced. Those that do not evacuate are being held detained and sent to prison camps about 50km east of Kispest and to Pressburg in the new Republic of Pojazerná. The new Republic of Pojazerná has agreed to sharing the burdens of the old Pannonia. Abuse of these prisoners has been documented, and many who flee the regions are also being witnessed to have experienced physical harm or hardship.

Meanwhile, Eugenia's Congress of Gonzaga has reiterated its desires to unify with Remion despite being rebuffed several times previously. Press Secretary Nemes has declared that any such notion of a Great Remion is dismissed from the outset. "I cannot see any peace agreement being possible from Kispest's point of view where Remion is allowed to absorb Eugenia. That said, I can say on good faith that General Horvath recognizes that an autonomous Zara as a point he may be willing to surrender to in any future agreement."

Horvath's willingness to recognize and negotiate directly with Bourdignie has not been extended to the concept of Eugenia however. "There is not a bone in Horvath's body that believes the idea of Eugenia is not 100% a ploy by powerbrokers in Remion." Meanwhile the issue of Thalgau is a question still open to discussion in Kispest. "We don't know what is happening in Thalgau, but we expect a fair democratic process," Nemes conceded.

Long Live the King?
• Rumors of Tarusan-based interviews for a Csengan King spread
• Kispest under Tarusan occupation
• Csengia secures tentative peace agreement

KISPEST — A light hum has developed in the background of Csengia's most recent assassination of a political leader. First of Kovács Zoltán who was assassinated earlier this year in a cowardly act to end the conflict with more bloodshed. Next was the assassination of General Horvath which has had several partisans all captured and ready to stand trial for their acts. As the end of the second socialist occupation of Kispest has come to end, rumors have filled the air as to what future Kispest will have.

The clearest rumor is that the Military Junta will be coming to an end after the death of General Horvath. The military is disorganized, and although showing strong leadership in the field, has been unable to maintain cohesion. In the European Forum, it is suggested that General Pista has authorized the current peace agreement to which Remion has agreed to. As news of this tentative peace agreement spreads, The military itself does not know if it should hold position or retreat to the agreed to lines.

In the meantime, Tarusan agents have been hard at work. There have been frequent visits between several Tarusans and major historical families in Kispest. This has led to the suggestion that Tarusa will force a crown back into the central government of Csengia.

The first suitor is from the Pálffy family. This family is known for their ownership of many of the old industrial plants in the 20th century and now large financial holdings. Pálffy Ferenc (Common European: Ferenc Pálffy), is the front runner here. He is 38 years old, with a son and daughter. He has little experience in anything other than the family business and financial holdings, and was a business supporter of Kovács Zoltán in the prior regime. The Pálffy family itself was a small noble family that held the least important title of duke in the old Kingdom, but had an illustrious military history in the 19th century which gave them the tools necessary to build their family fortune.

Another important suitor is the son of General Horvath himself. Horvath Pál Anton (Common European: Pál Anton Horvath), is currently an ensign in the Csengan Navy. The family has always held military posts, descending from a noble background, they were only the rank of count at their height. The family is not well known for its wealth, and the General Horvath himself was perhaps the most important person even in term of the heights of the family. They are not well known in elite social circles, and were staunch supporters of the old constitution.

The last known suitor is a woman. Csáky Eleonóra Szabina (Common European Eleonóra Szabina Csáky), is a 26 year old daughter of now presumed deceased Alexander. Alexander himself, was commanding soldiers as a captain at the front lines near Sankt Veit when his position was overrun by enemy soldiers after heavy bombing. Attempts to contact him have failed thus far. Prior to his disappearance and deployment to the Western Theater he had contact with Tarusans of high importance. If the rumors are true, theoretically his only daughter would be in line to take his place. The Csáky family is descended from a higher stature family than the Pálffy family, but does not have many notable descendants.

If something common can be found between all these rumored suitors it is that they all come from military families. There are higher former noble families which may not have a military background. It is assumed proper respect within the armed forces and a priority for their good health and structure is desired by the Tarusans.

The only question that reminds is if a crown is to be forced upon Csengia, will this crown also agree to the peace terms just now given by General Pista and agreed to by Remion?

Her Majesty's Realm
• Queen Erzsébet Eleonóra Szabina of the House of Csáky is crowned
• You can call her Elisabeth!
• Immediate changes to the war and power structures

KISPEST — A royal carriage brought Csáky Eleonóra Szabina to Saint Elizabeth Cathedral in Kispest. She would later depart the Cathedral with the same name and a crown. Csengia has placed its faith in an absolute monarch, adopting the system of government straight from Empire of Tarusa, largely the guaranteer of security for Csengia. For a brief period of time, it appeared this nation would fall but the security provided by Tarusa, coupled with the recent threats from Serbovia forced a ceasefire which has all but confirmed the supremacy of Tarusan interests in the center of this continent.

Queen Elisabeth, has she will be anglicized, has forced herself into the spotlight thanks to backing from Tarusa and formally ending the military junta era. General Pista met with the Queen before the ceremony and was in attendance for her coronation. He will currently serve as her military advisor in her royal court; however, he may be on a short leash considering Tarusan interests and his plans did not always align.

Tomorrow, the same ceremony will take place in Pojazerná, where she will take their crown and officially be monarch of Csengia and Pojazerná. She will appoint a minister in Pojazerná to rule in her name, but make no mistake the situation there is not democratic either. In fact, a larger series of rules on press regulation, free speech, and other civil liberties will be removed in the coming weeks stemming no doubt from Tarusan laws. These measures will not be as harsh however, there is also a desire to prevent immediate civil unrest.

Pálffy Ferenc has been appointed to lead the nation's economy forward by the Queen and he will also resume his own title officially as a Duke. Other appointments to her royal court include a new foreign minister, a certain Mr. Nagy who represented the nation without question at the European Forum throughout the turbulent period of civil war. This appointment was seen as a strong choice considering his loyalty to a variety of regimes, but will ruffle feathers among neighbors which he did not get along with.

The ceasefire agreed upon will hold according to insiders to the happenings at the royal court, although Eugenia will not be recognized, instead referred to as the Semi-autonomous Csengan Province of Eugenia and the Zaras. The Queen herself taking the mantle as Queen of the Zaras still.

Her Majesty has also announced at the close of the day that Parliament will be reopened in October, and fresh elections will be scheduled for November. The powers of this new Parliament however are yet to be seen, but it is assumed that Queen Elisabeth will not be sharing too much power with this new entity.
