Legal status of alcohol: Legal. The sale of alcohol is restricted to supermarkets (only the sale of beer and wine allowed), dedicated beer shops (only beer), dedicated wine shops (only wine), liquor stores (beer, wine and liquors) and of course in hotels, restaurants, cafés, pubs and night clubs (beer, wine and liquors).
It has to be mentioned that Eiffellandians generally frown upon getting drunk. Getting drunk is OK when you are between 18 and 30 years old, but after your 30th birthday you loose your face and dignity when getting drunk. But also before 30 years of age, Eiffellandians tend to not drink very much, because they generally don't like to loose control. As a result, Eiffellandians are generally not really alcohol-resistant.
There is also a special situation regarding alcohol during the Lenten season (the period between Ash Wednesday and Easter). During that period, Eiffellandians only drink alcohol on Sundays, when they do not have to fast. From Monday to Saturday, bars, pubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and clubs don't serve alcohol. The bars, pubs, cafés and clubs in Köln have a tradition to usher in the Sunday during the Lenten season: The bartenders already accept orders for alcoholic beverages five minutes before midnight, so that everyone who wishes so has something alcoholic at midnight. Then at midnight, everybody yells “Happy Sunday”, toasts with each other and takes a nip of their beverages.
Legal drinking age: 12 years for beer and wine in presence of the parents; 16 for beer and wine without presence of the parents; 18 years for liquors.
Average price of beverage per litre (€M) (1 Euromark = 1 RL US Dollar): €M 1.00 to €M 2.50 for beer (depending on the quality);
€M 5.00 to €M 40.00 for wine (depending on the quality); €M 25.00 to €M 200.00 for liquors
Estimated % of population who have tried alcohol: 80%
Estimated % of population who drink regularly: 75%, when one beer or wine at Friday night to start the weekend and one or two glasses of wine during dinners with friends or at the restaurant are considered regular.
Most popular alcoholic beverages: Beer and wine. Silas Keith's whisky and Alexander Gunn's whisky are quite popular as well, but not as popular as beer or wine.

Legal status of drugs: Illegal, and severely prosecuted against. Drug dealing is punished as attempt to murder; drug possession is punished with large fines. The government is going to work on a proposal to legalise hash and marihuana.
Average price of substance per gram (€M): From €M 5.00 for hash or marihuana to €M 30.00 for cocaine.
Estimated % of population who have tried drugs: 10%.
Estimated % of population who use drugs regularly: < 1%
Most popular recreational drugs: Hash, marihuana, blud.

Legal status of prostitution: Legal.
Legal status of homosexuality: Legal in Mainland Eiffelland, as well as in Rügen and all the islands ruled from Rügen; Illegal in Helgoland and all the islands ruled from Helgoland. Tolerance towards homosexuality is generally high in the cities with 100,000 inhabitants and more, quite low in rural areas and in Rügen, and almost absent in Helgoland.
Legal status of bestiality: Not specifically prosecuted, but procecuted as animal cruelty.
Legal status of divorce: Legal.
Legal status of extra-marital or pre-marital sex: Laws forbidding this abolished during the 1960s (before King Heinrich acceded to the Throne).
Age of consent: 16 years in Mainland Eiffelland; 16 for straight sex and 18 for gay sex in Rügen and all the islands ruled from Rügen; 16 years for straight sex in Helgoland and all the islands ruled from Helgoland (gay sex forbidden there).
Average daily wage of a sex worker (€M): €M 200.

OOC: I edited my post to reflect the fact that Eiffellandians are mostly very moderate drinkers. They look at Kadikistani with an enormous amount of amazement about how much alcohol they can drink without getting drunk.

Key information for the Republic of New Cathay
Data collected, analysed and published by the Kalahari Social Currents think tank (OOC: I'll claim research for this if no one else is opposed).

Legal status of alcohol: legal - underage drinking punishable by fines of €50-200
Legal drinking age: 15 for beer and wine; 19 for liquor
Average price of beverage per litre (€M) (1 Euromark = 1 RL US Dollar): Beer €5-8; Soju €1.75; Wine: €15-30
Estimated % of population who have tried alcohol: 91% (if you don't drink you are either considered a weirdo or you're a Moslem)
Estimated % of population who drink regularly: 82%
Most popular alcoholic beverages: Soju, a potent rice wine imported from Seodae, followed by beer. Wine typically only enjoyed by upper classes for status purposes.

Legal status of drugs: STRICTLY ILLEGAL - certain districts have limited enforcement
Average price of substance per gram (€M): Marijuana €20; Cocaine €70 (average prices are high due to smuggling being punishable by the death penalty without appeal).
Estimated % of population who have tried drugs: 27%
Estimated % of population who use drugs regularly: 11% (but they are filthy rich and keep the drug economy moving along nicely)
Most popular recreational drugs: cocaine

Legal status of prostitution: legal - workers must pay into state pension scheme, Johns have fee added onto the standard service fee reserved for healthcare and pension contributions of workers
Legal status of homosexuality: not mentioned in legal code but accepted by vast majority as normal. Some religious groups (Moslems, Hindus, Orthodox Jews) frown upon it but don't usually speak out against it publicly.
Legal status of bestiality: STRICTLY ILLEGAL - classified as gross animal cruelty. First offence: €20,000 fine AND 2 years imprisonment on a vegan diet with carefully supervised rehabilitation programmes caring for animals (most Cathayans LOVE meat). Second offence: €50,000 fine AND 5 years imprisonment with same programme as for first offence. Third offence: death penalty with appeal possible.
Legal status of divorce: no fault, no cause divorce. Prenuptial agreements are required by law. Religious marriages permitted on traditional grounds but are not recognised by the state. Marriage licenses and ceremony performed with a justice of the peace required to be state recognised.
Legal status of extra-marital or pre-marital sex: permitted and considered necessary before marriage.
Age of consent: 14 with no restrictions between age groups
Average daily wage of a sex worker (€M): depends on 'service class' and age of worker. Younger workers (under 30) attract double pay by default. Common street workers - female: €900; male: € 1150. High class workers with 'Pleasure House' and Madam typically go through years of training at the Academy of Professional Pleasure Makers - female: €3000; male: €5000 (both classes of sex workers pay a percentage of daily earnings to their Madam and House. Rates are negotiated individually and are based on performance and popularity).
Estimated % of population who have used prostitutes: 67% (it's common for teenagers to lose their virginity to a sex worker as part of their birthday celebrations and to remove nervousness for proper dating and relationships. Single people middle class and up will often use sex workers 3-5 times a month as many people are too busy to date properly. Married people who aren't religious typically have open relationships and seeing a sex worker every few months is considered healthy to keep the marriage happy and stable).

The High Kingdom of Warre

Legal status of alcohol: Legal. Drinking by oneself is outside of a pub, tavern, or the rare night club is considered taboo and frowned upon, as it is considered a social activity. All alcohol sellers are entitled and required to call taxi cab services for those who are overtly drunk if a designated driver is not with their party.
Legal drinking age: 17 for academic group activities and school or university clubs when under the super vision of those, or at family gatherings under the supervision of family. 21 otherwise, though anyone under the the age of 'majority' for drinking is strictly legally limited to two alcoholic drinks a night.
Average price of beverage per litre: 3 €M (Stout, Beer, Mead, Ale), 4 €M (Hard Ciders), 5 €M Whiskey, 6 €M Other Hard Liquors
Estimated % of population who have tried alcohol: 95%
Estimated % of population who drink regularly: 60%
Most popular alcoholic beverages: Whiskey, Stout Beer.
Legal status of drugs: Marijuana is Legalized within select municipalities at the discretion of the local municipality, province, or kingdom, and is despite this strictly regulated to only be allowed within personal residences or strictly regulated clubs for its use, and it is even more strictly regulated to those who are both above the age of majority and who have gained citizenship (or otherwise gained an exception), though those within national service are banned from use of it or other drugs. Cocaine is strictly illegal and Warre (and its realm) are one of the few nations which actually fought a war over the matter when indigenous warlords within Arthalan's interior were producing it and flooding Arthalan, Warre, Siu Wui and beyond with it. Their fields and work have since been confiscated with the Warreic government and while their people allowed to work on it and control it, this 'tax evasion' gained the kingpins sentences, and the only reason the fields weren't razed is for export to places such as the Southern Constitutional Republics of the Engellexic Republic. Other drugs are generally tolerated but government controlled, and the purity of these drugs are controlled as well, though one is only allowed to use them in their personal domicile. No person in government service or seeking to participate in government service within the next year may take narcotics, marijuana, or any other 'controlled' substance. Public substance abuse recovery programs are government funded as opposed to fighting drugs with the balled fist.
Average price of substance per gram (€M): Less than 10 €M (Marijuana, Depressants, Anti-Depressants, and things such as Speed or other controlled substance), 30 €M (Cocaine, its derivatives imported Smuggled back in from Engellex)
Estimated % of population who have tried drugs: 40%
Estimated % of population who use drugs regularly: 20%
Most popular recreational drugs: Marijuana
Legal status of prostitution: Legal in designated areas, with government license and insurance.
Legal status of homosexuality: Legal
Legal status of bestiality: So illegal it is unheard of, after all, why would people joke about those silly Gunnish doing things with their sheep, otherwise?
Legal status of divorce: Legal
Legal status of extra-marital or pre-marital sex: Both legal, however extra-marital sex highly frowned on.
Age of consent: Varies between municipality, province, and kingdom, though the age of majority (21) is the definite age of consent otherwise, and the federal government has pushed for an age of consent at 16, given a sizable portion of people enter the 'adult world' and stop secondary education at this point.
Average daily wage of a sex worker (€M): Varies between region, caste of clientele, and other factors, but between 200 €M to 2,000 €M.
Estimated % of population who have used prostitutes: No study performed. Presumed amount to be 30% or less, between both genders.

Sovereign Province of Siu Wui & Haitun

Legal status of alcohol: Legal. Drinking by oneself is outside of a pub, tavern, or the rare night club is considered taboo and frowned upon, as it is considered a social activity. All legal alcohol sellers are entitled and required to call taxi cab services for those who are overtly drunk if a designated driver is not with their party.
Legal drinking age: 17 for academic group activities and school or university clubs when under the super vision of those, or at family gatherings under the supervision of family. 21 otherwise, though anyone under the the age of 'majority' for drinking is strictly legally limited to two alcoholic drinks a night.
Average price of beverage per litre: 5 €M (Stout, Beer, Mead, Ale), 6 €M (Hard Ciders, Soju), 8 €M Whiskey, 9 €M Other Hard Liquors
Estimated % of population who have tried alcohol: 95%
Estimated % of population who drink regularly: 70%
Most popular alcoholic beverages: Soju, Stout Beer, Whiskey.
Legal status of drugs: Following the lead of its ruler, Siu Wui allows Marijuana to be purchased and consumed legally from 'government controlled stocks', and only in a domicile, or a legally licensed smoking club. It was actually the first among the empire to allow the substance to be used in this way. Cocaine remains illegal, and all other rules that Warre have are technically enforced, but the provincial police regularly fight internally over striking out at the various tongs which are believed to run 'underground' smoking clubs or clubs for other drugs. While White Gold was once the king in much of Warre, in Siu Wui the very rich still use it so regularly that news outlets rarely bother to report it.
Average price of substance per gram (€M): Less than 20 €M (Marijuana, Depressants, Anti-Depressants, and things such as Speed or other controlled substance), 50 €M (Cocaine)
Estimated % of population who have tried drugs: 50%
Estimated % of population who use drugs regularly: 25%
Most popular recreational drugs: Marijuana, Cocaine, Speed
Legal status of prostitution: Legal in designated areas, with government license and insurance.
Legal status of homosexuality: Legal
Legal status of bestiality: Illegal, but few people even think that sort of thing possible. However, they do say what happens in Siu Wui stays in Siu Wui.
Legal status of divorce: Legal
Legal status of extra-marital or pre-marital sex: Both legal, extra-martial is highly scandalous and/or frowned upon depending on social class.
Age of consent: 16.
Average daily wage of a sex worker (€M): 100 €M
Estimated % of population who have used prostitutes: Presumed to be approximately 50%.

Presumed amount to be 40% or less, between both genders.
