RPG attack against airliner in Maseru leaves 240 dead or wounded
AP International

Tragedy has struck today the city of Maseru, capital of Loago as a terrorist attack has left around 240 people dead or wounded. The terrorist group the Loagan League of Communists is reported to have been the perpetrator of the attack, though the LLC itself hasn't yet claimed the attack.

The terrorists have attacked an airliner owned by the Gallegan Airways which was coming from Histria. Originally, the route was serviced by Austral Airlines, the national Loagan aerial transportation service, but since the two have formed an airline alliance, the route was serviced by both companies.

Attackers have used a shoulder held rocked propelled grenade launcher and targeted the engine of the plane, causing its explosion. The plane was targeted immediately as it reached the beginning of the runway, preparing for take off. The blast of the grenade caused the explosion of the engines' tanks creating an enormous firestorm, whose power even broke the closest windows of the terminal.

The police, ambulances and fire fighters were immediately on the scene offering first aid to the survivors. The people seated immediately closest to the wings have been immediately killed in the explosions, with only the people seated at the extremities of the plane managing to survive, though many have their lives still in critical dangers as they have 3rd grade burns on much of their bodies.

The investigation of the police has found the place where the terrorists have fired the grenade and it seemed that they weren't expecting the explosion to be this strong, as they were incinerated by it.

As of yet the Government of Loago hasn't published the full list of names of the victims, but it has been said that 220 have been killed and another 20 to 30 have been wounded. Most of the victims are comming from inside the plane, but some of the victims were airport workers on the tarmac and even some travellers inside the terminal, whom were hurt by the broken glass.
The government has issued a red alert in Maseru.

Xinhai Expands Military Mobilization
AP Ostrograd

The Xinhese military command announced today an expansion of mobilization, activating all reservists in the nations Central, Western and Northern military districts, as well as announcing the formation of eleven new infantry divisions to be distributed across the commands. The announcement comes on the fourth day of the conflict, following a large-scale operation to disable Trier Concordat low-orbit observation and C3 capabilities.

"Our operations to pacify the failed state of Trivodnia are proceeding, though we have suffered some casualties. Eleven tanks and eight armored personnel carriers were disabled or destroyed, along with eighty four personnel killed or wounded during the opening phases of the operation, including from air strikes hastily conducted by the Kingdom of Eiffelland. Our air defenses were able to down several craft in retaliation, and we have encircled the city of Tichin and delivered terms," stated a spokesman for the military.

Additional units are being rapidly deployed to the frontlines, where the military surge is currently expected to reach nearly fifty thousand troops. Already the largest deployment of troops outside of Xinhai in recent history, the announcement of additional mobilizations likely prefaces an announcement regarding additional troop deployments to the region. Military experts point out that the Xinhese logistical backbone has never been tested to this extent, and that supply lines crossing the span of an entire continent will likely lead to delays in replenishing forces. To this point, Xinhese units have avoided attritious operations that would strain Rurikgrad's logistics.

KNP: Trivodnian government 'sacrificing' Krasnislavians
AP Amstov

Trivodnia's wartime unity government showed further signs of fracturing after the Krasnislavian National Party accused President Meier Lauterpacht, an ethnic Jew, of preparing to give up majority Krasnislavian territories as part of a peace deal with Kadikistan.

The accusation comes soon after Andrej Tusk, head of the Alternative party, which largely represents Trivodnia's other Slavian minorities, blamed Chancellor Alexander Kahnemann, also an ethnic Jew, for the ongoing conflict.

In a Twatter rant posted by the KNP official account, the party also suggested the Free State Self Defence Forces, Trivodnia's military, had been ordered not to defend non-Jewish cities to the same extent. Brisk, a predominantly Krasnislavian city, was the first to fall to Kadikistani forces. Slutsk and Tichin, which are majority Slavian, are currently encircled and subject to intense fighting. However Kremenetz, which is mostly Jewish, was the second city to fall to Kadikistan.

The twats have since been deleted, but they are being interpreted as a sign of Trivodnia's fraying political situation. Ethnic tensions have always been an issue in the country, which was created as a buffer state in the early 20th century to stop communist Kadikistan having access to the Polesian Sea.

Riots broke out in Kretyn, Trivodnia's second largest city and home to a large Krasnislavian community, after news of the Kadikistani naval assault reached the inhabitants. The disorder only ended after the National Watch, Trivodnia's gendarmerie, intervened, using live rounds to suppress the crowds.

Xinhese To Commit Air Forces To War
AP Ostrograd

The Xinhese Ministry of Defense notified state media that the People's Republic Revolutionary Army Air Force (PRAF) would soon be conducting operations alongside Rurikgrad Pact Unified Command forces.

"A special expeditionary force will be detached to Bernovsk to assist the Kadikistani Union in that theater. Primary reponsibilities will be securing air superiority over conflict zones, providing support to ground operations, and conducting reconnaissance of hostile forces," the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense stated. 9th Fighter Regiment, 37th and 38th Attack Regiments and 42nd Bomber Regiments were to begin deployment to Bernovsk effective immediately, while all elements of 3rd, 5th, and 7th Fighter Divisions, 12th Attack Division and 14th Bomber Divisions were to activate.

The Xinhese air force mainstay fighter, the L-73-IIM, competed last year against Western jets in the Bergenheimer air force trials where the old, cost-effective model proved an equal match for jets such as the Eiffellander Wirbelsturm and Burgundian Griffen. Meanwhile, the workhorse of the Xinhese air force, the H-71-D, matches the best of the Rurikgrad Pact's ground support jets in combat capabilities.

The announcement of the People's Republics entrance into the Germanian air war sets another precedent for Touyou forces deployed outside of the region, and sharply signals the Rurikgrad Pacts commitment to victory in Trivodnia.

Crown stages coup, seems to be failing after HoG mounts peaceful resistance
AP Propontis

In the early morning hours of August 24th, the Pelasgian capital and other major cities saw a familiar sight, with tanks rolling down the streets and the Crown proclaiming its direct control over the nation. However, in the four decades that had passed since the last dictatorship's collapse, the Pelasgian public had become much more resistant to authoritarianism. Moreover, the Nationalists' control of the education system and military academies had converted many of the troops below the upper echelons of the Armed Forces to the cause of Parliamentarianism, leading to important deficiencies in the Army's loyalty to the Crown.

Despite appearing in control of the country by 4 AM, the Crown Loyalists started being dealt major blows once major military formations, including an entire fleet, refused to respond to their commands. By the break of daw, it had become clear that at least one of the three army corps in the capital had gone rogue, free the cabinet members, senators, and many other anti-Crown forces, such as arrested DKKP unionists. While many Politarchy units remained loyal to the Crown, most Astynomia units had gone rogue, and the coup's urban focus turned this into a weakness.

Several signs indicate that the coup might have been discovered in advance, but might have been allowed to go ahead as a strategic move to disempower and expose the Crown after its failure. For one, mass messages on social media and text messages went out the moment the phone and internet connections were restored to broadcast the Emperor's decree; these messages must have been prepared in advance, just like the social media storm the Nationalists and other Senatorial factions undertook. Even more convincing is the blue paint, stencils and armbands the anti-coup military units convenient found.

Whether these suspicions are true or not, it seems that the situation in Propontis has entirely reversed by the early hours of the afternoon, with most units in Propontis, Therme, and other core cities switching allegiance or no longer actively pursuing the putschists' order, uncertain or fearful of the future. Civilians have flooded the streets, surrounding and converting units to their cause, though some units have resisted and fired, such as those near the bridge to the Imperial Palace. A small section of the northern wing of the Senate has been lightly damaged by a reported air assault, while the Politarchy's commander was shot by a subordinate, according to the latest reports.

The Great Logothete is now firmly back in power in the Senate, were he is giving a fiery speech to the Crowd. It is assumed he will motion to use an ancient Senatorial procedure to impeach the Emperor from his civic and military posts, leaving him powerless to resist arrest. The Emperor's whereabouts are unknown, though the path of an unknown flight, escorted by the mostly Loyalist Air Force seems to indicate he might be fleeing across the Horn of Propontis, to the deeply Loyalist isle of Prinkeponesos, were a Loyalist Navy Base is located.

Azraqi nationalists demand return of Tephanon
AP International

As the South Tiburan Empire plunges into political turmoil, Azraqi nationalist politicians are calling on the next government to pressure Propontis into returning the isles of Tephanon, which were ceded by the Blue Imamate in the mid
-19th century.

Leaders of the Dawamalian Youth League and Party of the Future both demanded the next administration get the Pelasgian government at the negotiating table or seize Tephanon militarily. "Tephanon is a stain on the map... an insult to our great nation," claimed Futurist head Abdirashid Ali Ahmed in a televised statement.

Backbenchers from the Party of Principles joined the chorus of nationalist calls, but were soon slapped down by Principlist chief Mohammed Yusuf Kahyre, who urged "peace and stability" over "violence and uncertainty".

Azraq is currently in the middle of parliamentary elections, which will likely see either the Principlists return to government supported by their allies, or a Justice Party led coalition take the reigns. The Justice Party has similarly rejected calls for Tephanon to be returned.

Tephanon belonged to the Azraqi Empire's predecessor the Blue Imamate but was handed to the South Tiburan Empire in the 1850s as part of a wider peace treaty between the two powers. The South Tiburan Empire claims Tephanon was an ancient Pelasgian colony.

Southern Tiburan Empire
HIM Household Office of the Exterior
Public Statement

To whom it may concern,

Tephanon is part of the Sovereign Domain of the Crown of the Southern Tiburan Empire as per the Treaty between the Empire and theBlue Imamate. The Empire's spiritual domain over this territory stretches back to ancient Tiburan conversion of the local populace to the One True Faith, and the Empire shall, under no circumstances, yield this rightful land to any foreign state. Before the Crown's dominion over this land, it was but a barren rock. Today it is the Jewel of the Horn of Himyar, a bustling metropolis, graced by Tiburian Civilisation, Statecraft, and Culture.

Refugees flee and bring tales of horror, as Tiburian Civil War escalates
AP Propontis

The capture of large swaths of land by both the Nationalists and the Imperials on opposite ends of the Southern Tiburan Empire has led to large-scale movements of civilians away from combat or recently captured areas. These movements have exposed the true, ugly face of the internal conflict gripping the Northern Himyari country, as the two sides get increasingly brutal. In Cyrenia, the southeastern half of the Empire, considerable Loyalist advances led by Alexander Balas have often been preceded by large-scale guerilla warfare from Loyalist civilians and paramilitaries, resulting in the brutal deaths and executions of both Republican troops and Republican civilians. A particularly horrid case of the murder of an entire extended family over a single day in Larissa, including public executions and torture by Loyalist militiamen, has painted a grim picture of the Crown's most radical supporters in Philistaea.

On the other end of the Empire, the sudden and uncontested advance of the Nationalists in Pelasgia and western Philistaea has gripped minority and foreign communities with fear. Despite the assurances and active protection of both local and Republican authorities, many of the Empire's Catholics, non-Karaite Jews, and prosperous Gallo-Germanian immigrants fear for their lives, many closing up their homes and fleeing to major Loyalist cities such as Hierosolyma or the isles of the Archipelago. Others have congregated around the Consulates of various European countries, to the point that the Politarchy had to violently remove them. The situtation is particularly bad in Hierosolyma, where tens of thousands are on the streets, and many more in shelters and pilgrim lodgings rented or provided by religious charities. While many more have stayed in their towns under police protection of their communities, a few instances of looting and violence have been reported.

Much more concerning is the situation of outspoken Loyalists in Nationalist areas once news of the deeds of Mr. Balas' Sacred Band broke in Propontis, where upwards of two hundred men and women were rounded up by EKKP militans fighting on the Republican side and executed before being thrown into a river. In Sidon, a Loyalist officer was publicly beaten to death by his men when he fired at a civilian welcoming the Nationalist troops, after his orders to resist went unanswered. The murder of a Pelasgian Catholic priest by Nationalist Pelasgised Urudoah men in Byblos was also reported, though the public hanging of the two perpetrators quickly put the matter to rest. The brutality in question is also seen in the military side of the conflict, with the Loyalist 4th Army 1st Corps units firing at retreating Republican convoys, including wounded convoys, in Hiberia, and Republican units firebombing and reportedly sacking several towns populated by the Melingian minority in the Hiberian Marches.

Whatever the outcome of the war, the situation seems bound to only become more brutal, unless a quick compromise between all sides can be found. In the meantime, both sides seem to deny any blame on their part, and stress any brutalities, alleged or otherwise, of the other side.

BREAKING: Trivodnia sues for peace
AP Amstov

War in Slavo-Germania may be coming to end after Trivodnian President Meier Lauterpacht said in a televised statement that the Free State would be willing to come to the negotiating table with Kadikistan and Xinhai.

The statement marks a dramatic about-turn by the Trivodnian government, which had previously declared it would not negotiate with Kadikistan and its allies.

However, with Rurikgrad Pact forces rapidly approach the Trivodnian capital Amstov, geopolitical analysts suggest a Trivodnian olive branch was near inevitable. The Burgundian offensive against Crotobaltislavonia has been stalled by the surprise Gunnish intervention while Eiffelland and Retalia focus on defending Occitania and so few believe Trivodnia has any chance of victory.

Already the Trivodnian cities of Brisk, Kremenetz, Slutsk and Tichin have fallen to the Rurikgrad Pact, while fighting continues on the outskirts of Brod, Druzhnia, Gonin, Izola, Proskerev and Tuchin.

Civilian and military casualties are expected to be in the thousands, while many more are internally displaced within the Free State.

No ceasefire has been called and President Lauterpacht, who is supreme commander of the Free State Self Defence Forces, insisted the Trivodnian military would fight on if the Communist powers reject the call for a diplomatic end to the conflict.

Virumaa and Kadikistan sign treaty of friendship
AP Kuressaare

The Democratic Republic of Virumaa and the Union of Kadikistan have recently announced that the two countries have decided to create closer ties between them by signing the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation. The treaty has been proposed by Viktoria Sokk, the Chairwoman of the Supreme Revolutionary Council, the body which acts as the collective presidency of the Democratic Republic of Virumaa and has been signed by her and Kristijan Saar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Virunian side and by Sergei Moravscik, the General Secretary of the All-Union Kadikistani Communist Workers' Party.

The treaty seeks to replace the Status Quo Treaty which was signed in 1958 by the Viru and the Kadikistani. That has been the second SQT treaty signed and the first one to be formally declared null and void by both parties.

The new accord acts as a non-aggression treaty between the two and also had articles that promote the economical, political, social and cultural links between the two countries. It is seen by many to be an intermediary step before Virumaa's full ascension to the Rurikgrad Pact. Some analysts have state that Jaak Raud and Viktoria Sokk are waiting for the current war in Gallo-Germania to end before becoming a full member of the military alliance.

"Virumaa and Kadikistan have been neighbours along the coasts of the Gothic Sea since immemorial. We have been fighting together, living together, befriending eachother, fighting again, trading again and so on for such a long time that now it is nearly impossible to imagine Kuressaare without thinking of Rurikgrad on the other side of the sea and vice-versa. Today is a stepping stone in which both our countries are proclaiming that the era of perpetual peace and friendship is starting in the north and it will bring prosperity to us all," stated Viktoria Sokk in the her speech in the People's Assembly, before the treaty was voted and ratified by the Virunians.

BREAKING: Trivodnia surrenders
AP Amstov

The Free State of Trivodnia has unconditionally surrendered to the Rurikgrad Pact, Trivodnian President Meier Lauterpacht has confirmed on a televised statement, leaving the fate of the small Slavo-Germanian country unknown.

In a highly symbolic act, the Free State tri-colour flying above the Presidential Palace in central Amstov, the Trivodnian capital, was replaced by the white flag, a universally recognised sign of surrender.

President Lauterpacht, who is also supreme commander of the Free State Self Defence Forces, has urged the Trivodnian military to halt operations and civilians not to resist Kadikistani and Xinhaiese occupation.

Rumours of an unconditional surrender had been circulating ever since Kadikistan rejected Lauterpacht's plea for a negotiated end to the conflict. In the run up to Lauterpacht's announcement, the Bergenheimer, Eiffellander and Retalian embassies were torched and abandoned, and Chancellor Alexander Kahnemann and other senior government figures are believed to have fled the country.

In his address, Lauterpacht said the decision to surrender was to save lives, and it was "evident" Trivodnia could not win the war.

Conspiracy of Silence on Bergenheim-CBS Border
AP Midweis

Long running investigations into the state of Bergenheim's fortified border with CBS have finally concluded despite official obstructions. The results are damning, and indicate a profound culture of distrust, suspicion and outright manipulation, with tens if not hundreds of thousands of CBS citizens being confined in remote, poorly-constructed and maintained refuge camps based around the "Gates" of entry between the two nations.

While an investigation was conducted into the murder of an unnamed refugee during the Christmas Crisis, with the army being censured for the unlawful killing, in reality Bergenheim's National Unity Government has only accelerated the draconian militarisation of the border, and the unlawful and inhuman treatment of the Crotobaltislavonian refugees attempting to cross the land border.

Attempts to gain hard numbers have been difficult, but a leaked preliminary draft for a report suggests as many as 98,500 refugees are currently occupying between seven and nine refugee camps along the Bergenheim border.

With Trivodnia surrendered and Operation Moses concluded, it is impossible not to wonder at the ease with which Trivodnian refugees were accepted and assimilated into the Mountain Republic, but which sees nearly a hundred thousand Slavonians trapped in limbo at the border, unable to go forward or to return.

Cabaon votes to remain an associated state of Virumaa
AP International

The National Assembly of Cabaon has voted 24 to 6 to keep the State of Cabaon an associated polity of the Democratic Republic of Virumaa. The arid and desolate desert state is dependent in the aid programs coming from Virumaa, the country which has colonised in the mid 19th century Cabaon and Himyar and in 1957 has created the Viridian Union, an economical and political union between the metropolis and the ex-colonies, while giving independence to the two. While Loago was gripped in the war with the League of Communists and the Fante Nation and later it was hostile to the Marxist-Leninovist regime, as it is today, the drifted away, but Cabaon remained very close to Kuressaare, even if Virumaa itself passed through the Becker regime in 1957-58, then the National Syndicalist regime until 1985 and now it became again a Marxist-Leninovist state.

Today in Ajdir, Premier Asaru Toure has proclaimed the continuation of the good relationship between his country and Virumaa. While it isn't a great surprise, especially when Virumaa itself can put crippling economic pressures on Cabaon and the International Volunteer Division is stationed in the country, it comes as a surprise as with this, a great obstacle has been put on the country's ascension on the Rurikgrad Pact: the original Status Quo Treaty.

The Status Quo Treaty between the Empire of Pelasgia and the Kadikistani Union forbids the violation of the two country's spheres of influence by each other. Thus, for Virumaa to join the Rurikgrad Pact, it will be impossible with Cabaon under its wing. Yet, many of the Virunian politicians are not ready to break the bonds between the two states. That might be why Virumaa proposed the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation to Kadikistan, as a way to still get closer to Kadikistan without fully joining the Pact and thus violate the SQT.

BREAKING: Pelasgian state hits back at far left factions across country
AP Propontis

The Pelasgian authorities have reportedly hit back at the EKKP-led leftist faction that is considered to have been responsible for the attack on Kastellas Hotel, which killed the Pelasgian Emperor and Head of Government, alongside over two hundred more people. Yesterday, the Pelasgian Regency Office issued a decree dissolving and disarming the AMEL, the EKKP's armed wing, and declaring the party itself to be illegal. The EKKP defied this decree, as well as Martial Law and State of Siege provisions in place across the Empire, and attempted to stage a march from the port of Pyrgos to the Imperial Palace along Thriamvon Avenue. However, the march was stopped near the forum, and was ordered to disperse. After it refused to do so, police officers and gendarmes bearing military-grade weapons, including at least two machine guns, fired into the crowd, killing at least fifty people and injuring many more. The AMEL militants who were supposed to safeguard the march of the fourty or so thousand radical leftist protestors dispersed in a disorderly fashion, without putting up a fight. Unconfirmed but trustowrthy reports also state that the party's senior leaders, including Demetrios Vitsioris, its founder, were slain by apparent sniper fire coming from the rooftop of the Propontis Stock Exchange and the Grand Drosovillas Hotel Propontis.

Less than a day later, on the early morning hours of September 24, internal troops of the Central State Security Service (YKAK), the Empire's main internal security and counterintelligence organisation, swept through Trapezon, the port city west of the major Pelasgian city of Iolcus in northern Pelasgia. There, YKAK troops reportedly belonging to the Special Security Detachments (ETA) are reported to have arrested over three thousand EKKP and AMEL members, as well a supporters of the hard left wing ejected from the centre-left Social Party. Fire ripped through the port at night as sparse AMEL militiamen tried to mount a resistance, but the ETA soon prevailed. Then, sporadic sounds of the ETA entering buildings and either searching them or executing occupants could be heard. Machine-gun sounds were also heard near the sight of a demolished warehouse, where EKKP affiliates are claiming mass executions of AMEL members who had refused to surrender their arms, as well as EKKP members, took place. The area is inaccessible due to being cordoned off, while civilian traffic has been temporarily prohibited in Trapezon, so no confirmation can take place. According to estimates, upwards of four hundred people were executed across Trapezon. Similar scenes also took place in Therme, Hagios Ioannes, Edessa, Crene, and other cities with major EKKP presence. As the relatively small but tightly-disciplined EKKP largely drew its power from urban areas, it is presumed to have been essentially wiped out, though AMEl militants probably persist in multiple areas.

Though the DKKP, Social Party, and other lawful leftist factions in the Empire's politics have not faced any sanctions, they have been de facto forced to clearly denounce the EKKP and its radical faction. This reaction to the Kastellas Bombing from the Nationalist and Loyalist-dominated transitional government seems to have deprived the Pelasgian left of its armed wing, a fact which has been reinforced by Regency Decree 2/2018, which has obliged all remaining leftist civil war fighters to either join the Imperial Civil Guard or disband and surrender their arms. The purge seems to have had the desired effect in that the command has been largely followed. However, this effectively means that the Pelasgian Left, which had joined the United Front with the Nationalists with the hope of a more prominent and equal role in the Empire's politics, has effectively been halved and forced into moderating its positions and supporting the governing coalition with little opposition, lest the accusations of radicalism and the accompanying use of the Idionymon Law are used by the Regency Office. The two moves, which have been termed the Midnight Slaughter and the Forum Ambush have served to disarm the EKKP, being hailed by many as a just punishment for the terror bombing at the Kastellas Hotel and the attempt to undermine the Pelasgian Peace Process. This sentiment seems to only grow stronger as the Special Military Tribunal trying the alleged perpetrators of the bombing has now seen multiple prominent EKKP and AMEL members appear before it, following their capture by the ETA. However, various Leftist commentators are instead calling this a political attempt by the Pelasgian Right and Centre to suppress and vassalize the Left, using the whole of the Hard Left as scapegoats for the Kastellas Bombing and the resulting public outcry. Whatever the case, the EKKP has been effectively deprived of all of its meaningful strength, being transformed from a moderately minor force into a practically insignificant one. It would seem that the warnings of the DKKP's leader, Mr. Stephanopoulos, against "meaningless division and blind radicalism" were proven right.

Archbishop of Ugandi calls resistance against communism bellum iustum
AP International

The Most Reverend Hendrik Saar, the Archbishop of Ugandi has responded today to the recent events in Virumaa calling for a general resistance off all Catholics against communism. The Archbishop, whom has found refuge in Elben since the coming to power of the Party of the Left, has stated that he is still in contact with many of the Catholics in Virumaa and brings forward nearly every day reports on the abuses of the communist regime.

The Archbishop has also provided the Voice of the North with a complete list of the victims of the recent clashes at the Glade of Saint Andrus. Hendrik Saar has reported that the plot of land where the glade is situated is to be flattened by the government, which wants to construct the headquarters of a cooperative farm there. More than 100 Catholics have come to block the tractors and workers but they have been largely dispersed by the authorities, only to return a few hours later. Violence has ensued and around 15 people have died and more than 30 have been wounded.

The Archbishop calls this resistance a true revolt and has called all Catholics of the world to actively resist against the expansion of communism. While the government of Virumaa has not yet commented on the situation escalating around Kallaste, they have state that their end goal is to "liberate the people from the mysticism, obscurantism and oppression of the Catholic Church," as per the words of Viktoria Sokk, the Chairwoman of the Supreme Revolutionary Council.

Even so, more and so reports are coming out of Virumaa that there are acts of disobedience and violence taking place all over the country, with even the government itself has ended up recognising their existence and has condemned them as common banditry.

"This is not a simple war between nations like the old ones, this is a clash of civilisations. The communists want to build the society from zero but instead of building it after the image of God, they are building it after the image of Marx and Leninov. Sadly, the era of pacifism has passed and now, like in the times of the crusades, it is the duty of all Christians to defend the realm, faith and civilisation from the eastern hordes. Some people call for pacifism, but we have reached a point in which pacifism hurts us more than the violence of war. Currently, if we follow the pacifist line, we are hurting our own people, our own country and our own faith, as we are simply surrendering them to the forces of Marxism-Leninovism. The 15 people that have died in the Glades of Saint Andrus have died to defend their faith and if we just stand by and watch and hope that violence stops, we are just saying that they died gratuitously, for nothing. They and the people who still lie now in the glade to defend it from the communist authorities are doing it in defence of their faith and they are ready to die accordingly for it. It is time for us to join them, so that we can all prevail in the end," stated the Most Reverend Hendrik Saar, Archbishop of Ugandi.

Political analysts are comparing the events in Virumaa to the ones in 1958, when the Army of the North rebelled in Imavere and has thus started a war that engulfed the regions of Pohjamaad, Sakala and Saaremaa. But this time, the disobedience acts and small revolts are being reported all around the whole of the country, not just in the far north.

State Elder promises liberation dignity and amnesty. Koit Sisask: "Whoever is not against us is for us"
AP International

Koit Sisask, the ex-State Elder of Virumaa and current head of the republican faction in the White Movement has reiterated the promise to the people that he will offer liberty and dignity. Koit Sisask is the Chairman of the National Democratic group in the National Union. It is the biggest faction inside the National Union.

While he still is nominally allied with the royalist government in exile led by Archbishop Hendrik Saar, there are some tensions between the two. As of yet, most of the White Army is aligned to Koit Sisask, while the Forest Brothers are nearly all aligned to the Archbishop. This really shows that in the end, the white movement in Virumaa is mostly kept together by their hate of the communist regime and by the social and economical policies they strive for, namely corporatism and national syndicalism, but there are still rifts between them and the biggest one is the republic-monarchy divide.

But even so, the State Elder has stated that the White movement is as united as it can possibly be and that the royalists have all legal right to ask for a restoration of the monarchy once the rule of law returns, provided that they follow all the legal proceedings. That is to start a petition that needs 5 million signatures, have the support of 2/3 of the parliament and only then to organise a referendum for it. But until then, legally there is only one Virumaa and that is the United Republic and its army is called the White Army.

As the battle for Kuressaare has begun, the whites have learned a lot from their previous experiences in fighting the Party of the Left and Kadikistani supported communist movements. The program promised by Koit Sisask hopes to win the hearts and minds of the Virunians, as it promises the best of both worlds, combining the traditional-conservative focus of the general white movement with the social focus of the communists.

Koit Sisask has promised that in the Virumaa of the future, all workers will be unionised, all education and healthcare will be provided by the state and by the church, the Catholic Church will be held in high esteem and its monasteries and territories be returned to her. He stated that the National Union will remain the movement of the Virunian people, as a non partisan political movement that will work to offer the Virunians a better life, while also defending their way of life and culture and offering stability. He promised the reduction of corruption and the return of the Viridian Union as a political and economical alliance between Virumaa, Loago and Cabaon.

The head of staff of the White Army is hoping that the war is now entering its second phase, which they hope to be the last one. The battle for Kuressaare has started and the recent victories in the enclave in the north have made the whites to concentrate on the communist held south. Koit Sisask has stated that to further respect his personal doctrine of national unification, he will see only an aggressor as an enemy and thus everyone, including Party of the Left members, Democratic Guard Partisans, Democratic Army soldiers or all citizens still living in communist occupied Virumaa will enjoy full freedom and amnesty if they surrender to the White Army forces.

Port Stanley Congress Worried About Missing Prime Minister, But More About Declining Exports
AP Chinde

The main parliamentary issue was supposed to be the disappearance of Prime Minister Ian Buchanan Smith, but an unruly session of the legislature instead discussed racial tensions and economic woes. Mr. Smith has not been seen in public for four months. He is rumored to have disappeared in the north of the country, which is plagued by intermittent guerilla warfare.

"The Popular Front greatly exaggerates the problems that we are experiencing in Chinde," said Dr. Octavia Butler, the leader of the United Development Party (UDP). The UDP is the largest party in the legislature, controlling 41 seats, and supports the white prime minister's Commonwealth League. There are 100 members of the unicameral Port Stanley Congress. Dr. Butler, herself a member of the Mafewo tribe, denied that Nethian Stanleans are experiencing "violent repression" in the capital city. She concluded her speech with a powerful assertion: "White rule is an outdated white myth."

The Popular Front, a left-wing party with tribal support in the rural hinterlands of Port Stanley, is widely accused of supporting Rwenbezi Armed National Uprising (RANU) guerillas waging a low-grade "bush war" against the government. It is the second-largest party in congress. All 38 members of the PF walked out when Dr. Butler censured opposition members for speaking out of turn in protest.

After the departure of the opposition, the coalition partners discussed declining exports. The Germanian War was expected to increase demand for Port Stanley's main exports: lumber and coffee. But disrupted supply chains and the rapid conclusion of the war's main Trivodnian-Crotobaltislavonian theater have so far cost the country's merchants and laborers dearly. The UDP has called for emergency public assistance to laborers in Oriel and Chinde, while the Commonwealth League argues that the large export companies are not able to afford the higher taxes to pay for new programs.

We can assure you that Eiffelland is still in need of coffee, despite the fact that the war ended.
