".........Honorable Senators, subjects. I address you tonight to update you on the status of the revitalization of our military in this new international and European age. Our program is called Defense Readiness One. My grandfather King Phillipe Francisco the First originally closed us off to Europe one hundred years ago. My papa, Carlos the First maintained this isolationist policy. These were mistakes. While we rectify one mistake, we must not make another. We lovingly open our gates to the European community. I invite you, wherever you are, come, indulge. I hereby extend my hand to those regional leaders who fear our purely defensive measures. Come. Meet me.

Guarding open gates must be a strong, formidable military to deter what we see as sub human provocateurs. Like the Red Menace of socialism and communism. Also so we may protect our regional interests. For these reasons we have taken the actions, passed the legislation you now know well. In time we shall fully de-nationalize the arms and automotive industries once our Army and ground forces complete tactical deployment deterrent readiness. We began the modernization of our air and naval forces years ago. Do not fear a game of catchup. We wish only to have a shield on parity with that of conventional Europe.

I pledge our actions, taken henceforth, to be for the aforementioned aims. I pledge I will personally lobby, if this noble chamber allows, to repeal every new tax and tax hike passed. - Senate Nationale officially takes up procedural starts for bills establishing the creation of the Royal Army Reserve Corps & Civil Guard. Debate has just begun.

- Provision in bill allows for those who have so far dodged the conscript law to be pardoned if they sign up for the reserves. Also allows for a 100 Justos signing bonus for other exemption foregos. Estimates are this could net perhaps 50,000 new soldiers.

Most observers see this as a party line vote whilst unsure how the chamber's 3 Independent Senators will vote.

Commerce Minister: Fellow countrymen on this day of our Lord Yahweh we wish to inform you of changes coming to our Holy Kingdom. In accordance with the 'Open Gates' policy of our King, Justosia is now officially open to international business to and for all nations we deem friendly. Expect foreign company. We implore you to be tolerant of foreign peoples coming to enjoy our beaches, food, nightlife. We also implore you to, carefully, begin consider traveling abroad. You good sir are a representative of the Kingdom at all times foreign, and you madam.

Foreign Minister: The nations of @Occitania, @Eiffelland, @Gunnland, @Crotobaltislavonia, & @Kadikistan, have been deemed friendly. May we began to enjoy their splendors. May they grace our shores and enjoy our wares.

Finance Minister: As we have left isolation, certain foreign governments have, for no and/or backwards reasons, attempted to bully and threaten us fiscally. They do this without provocation. They do this without real justification. They believe Europe is exclusively for them. It's not. They're backwards, they're wrong, they're in for a rather rude awakening. One such nation is apparently the Peggy, Peggor, Pegisian 'Empire' or whatever it's called. We pray in Yahweh's name for the liberation of any other peoples actually under this twisted, aggressive, backwards, dark nation's rule.

In response, our three ministries have liased. We speak with one voice, and Crown authorization here. The aforementioned nation is hereby deemed a threat. As such it is our position that their 'government' is illegitimate. With said Crown and constitutional permission, any business dealings with this nation are officially outlawed. Any foreign assets that may somehow be here are to be seized. We will begin lobbying allied governments to cut their business dealings with them as well. Full boycott. We do not need this rogue, illegitimate government's help trading anywhere. Their boycott means nothing. Nothing they do means anything frankly. Any attempt to interfere with our right to trade with our allies would be a serious mistake. We regret to inform any people currently under repress by this government that they're barred from our borders.

NOW if I may be franker, in my station. We recently have learned that this government just emerged from a bloody Civil War. They should get back to it. Finish killing themselves off. Europe is changing and they don't seem up to snuff. Anyone cold?

To whom it may concern,

The Government of the Pelasgian Empire has not, to this point, introduced formal sanctions against Justosia. It seems that the clowns that run the aforementioned country have decided to incur the wrath of one of Europe's major powers simply due to the decision of private bodies, such as the Federation of Pelasgian Entrepreneurs, to boycott their products. We thus do hereby proclaim that the rogue state of Justosia is, in our view, wholly illegitimate, and we do bar its citizens and vessels, both aerial and naval, from entry into our sovereign territory, our ports, and territorial waters, which includes the pivotal bottleneck of the Sea of Buto and much of the narrow straights controlling transit between the Long Sea and the Kalahari. Any vessels breaching this prohibition shall be considered to not fly an ensign and they shall therefore be seized, by force if necessary.

We also institute a total embargo on the Kingdom, and announce the immediate seizure of all its assets in Pelasgia, and the deportation of all its nationals, subjects, and citizens within our borders and those of our colonies. The clowns that run Justosia might continue to delude themselves into illusions of advancement and greatness, but we shall pay no attention to their derangement any longer. These moves, while radical, were necessitated by the rogue regime's actions, which have harmed its own populace and not us in any meaningful way. Other great nations of Europe, such as Natal, have already seen boycotts of their own taking place against Justosia, and it would not surprise us if the rogue regime tries to "sanction" them likewise.

We would advise the Finance Minister of a C- country with "trash"-tier bonds to not burn the stable currency of our Empire, for it might soon need such reserves once its inevitable default comes. As for the shocking comments of Justosia with regard to the National Schism, which display immense disrespect towards the victims of that internal unrest, we have no response to make other than this: the fact that the Justosian leaders fell so low as to insult dead innocents simply because a credit rating house based in our country devalued their economy shows that they are neither Christian nor moral, but mere greedy, petty and degenerate creatures on the whole.

We would also be willing to provide spelling courses for the mentally challenged or dyslexic among Justosia's elite, since they seem incapable of reading a map despite their alleged claims of "advancement" and "superiority". May this rogue regime collapse and its people prosper, or, if they are akin to their so-called "King", may they remain isolated and far away from the sane and normal races that inhabit the rest of Europe. The King is Justosia is free to lay with and "marry" boys, men, horses and whatever else he seeks to replace the healthy Christian marriage with, but his heresy and his depravity will no longer be our concerns. We hereby cease all public communications with Justosia, not that any private communications exist, and withdraw our recognition of this backwards realm. In years past we would have endeavoured to civilise it, but we shall not bother to waste the resources.

At no point did the Foreign, Finance, or Commerce Ministers have my endorsement or approval for their joint press conference yesterday. I & my government fully deny & disavow every word. All 3 have been fired without severance or pension. All 3 have been personally taken to task by I. I would like to extend my heartfelt regret of the nation of @Pelasgia for this international misunderstanding & time wasted on it.

There are vast differences between our 2 nations. However I believe they can eventually be bridged.

To whom it may concern,

It is truly concerning that Ministers of State could act in such an independent and yet coordinated fashion. One could perhaps think a veritable conspiracy to usurp power and use our Empire as an external target for internal Justosian discontent was at play. Whatever, the case we are content that the three apparently rogue ministers were rendered incapable of causing further harm to the Empire's relations with Justosia.

Seeing the immense complexity of the situation which has evolved between the Crowns of Pelasgia and Justosia is recent days, we are nevertheless hopeful for a peaceful resolution. We accept the King's apology, and do rescind our grave sanctions against Justosia until further notice. So as to permit better communication, we would recommend the dispatch of emissaries between our nations. For our part, we are willing to send a Minister Plenipotentiary to establish a provisional diplomatic authority of Pelasgia in Justosia, and to accept an equivalent in Propontis as soon as possible.

Depending on the developments from that point on, full ambassadorial recognition could take place. We express our sincere hope that our differences can be worked out, and that we can address the initial issue of our difference, namely the destabilisation of Himyari markets caused by the upheaval in Justosia's internal politics, in a productive and prompt fashion.
