REVISIONISM CONTROVERSY IN PARLIAMENT

Premier Diethelm Jaroslavas has repeatedly shown his vision as one of unity and great foresight among the 19 Cooperatives of our great realm, and recently has pinpointed the Preussen Parliament as being the latest chamber "infested" by revisionist tendencies. The UDBA has commenced an investigation immediately and seized three ministers responsible for their delusional thinking. Jaroslavas' statement has come after a long period of modernizing the political doctrine of the state and accusations by "extreme far-leftist thinkers" of liberalization. This, however, is noted to be false by the Premier, who has stated repeatedly to the public that success will not be measured by adherence to old doctrine but by flexibility.

Premier Jaroslavas wisely directed the peoples of the Cooperatives to be watchful for infiltration by suspicious parties in a meeting with the Cooperative Council earlier today. Following the explosiveness of the civil war in Virumaa, the Premier stated firmly his resolve to ensure the lasting endurance of the Cooperatives in the face of covert meddling by fascistic elements. Noting the conflict in the West which engulfed much of the continent several months ago, Jaroslavas stated to our press corps that "Fascistic elements of the continent will continue to disrespect the sovereignty of states which do not align with their delusional ideals."

Jaroslavas has ordered the Territorials to be mobilized today to set up along the western coast as an "insurance policy," as well as ordering the People's Navy to commence patrol in international waters between Virumaa and the Union. The UDBA has reportedly been placed on high alert to be watchful for sabotage.

NEW WEAPON DELIVERY SYSTEM UNVEILED BY PEOPLE'S NAVY

Today, Admiral Rodomir Daghelm revealed to our press officers a new delivery system to be mounted in the Navy's large submarine force. The system is the result of an eight-year long process to develop a delivery system for missiles to targets on the land. A demonstration was given at the Port of Rigustad, showcasing a missile launch to a remote location in the far north. Our reporters followed Daghelm and his colleagues to the target, where Daghelm showed the efficacy of the weapon. An abandoned village had been thoroughly scarred by the explosion of the weapon.

Daghelm reaffirmed the commitment of the NCPN to the defense of Union waters.

ANTI CORRUPTION INVESTIGATION NETS SEVERAL SUSPECTS

Commissioner Mindaugis Simon of the UDBA Internal Affairs has today called for a press conference to announce the commencement of a large-scale anti-corruption investigation at the "highest levels of the Union." Simon stated that several high-ranking generals and logicians responsible for Territorial Guard deployment to the western coasts have reportedly been abusing their positions to embezzle money, sell weaponry, and assist organized crime groups by giving them reported "no-show jobs," allowing the criminals to be formally drafted but continue to commit crimes. Premier Jaroslavas praised the Commissioner's efforts to root out organized crime within the Northern Realms.

MILITARY NAVAL VESSEL DESTROYED BY "WHITE" VIRUMAAN MINES

Earlier today, Admiral Rodomir Daghelm confirmed to reporters that a frigate attached to the Strait Patrol Force was destroyed by the mining operations of the White Army forces engaged in combat against the legitimate government of Virumaa.

The Navy has reportedly begun patrolling with renewed vigor along the straits, in addition to assisting the legitimate government in assuring safe passage through the straits. Much of the eastern coast is under the control of the rebel forces, causing great concern for the Northern Realms due to the aggression shown by the forces in eliminating political enemies. Admiral Daghelm stated the following;

"This is the classical route to authoritarian fascism. The enemy has already begun sending death squads to harass the innocent civilians of Virumaa, who simply want to live unencumbered by capitalism. This has deeply disturbed many observers across the East and galvanized international far-right movements."

Daghelm was quick to state that the white forces mined the Ida Sea with mines at the beginning of the conflict, contrary to international treaties. Most of these mined zones had been plotted out, but now the mines have begun taking a toll on shipping to the Northern Realms. The RD-219 was sunk by one such mine, killing 59 sailors aboard in the frigid waters on the approach to the White Sea.

"We will respond with force, committing our air forces to the battle at hand in Virumaa in joint action with our Kadikistani comrades. The Proletarian North will not suffer an aggressive force on our border." Premier Jaroslavas stated to a conference in his office today.

Already mobilized, the Territorial Guard has been placed on high alert. Air forces have already commenced actions against the ground forces of the rebel movement.

POSTURING BY MONARCHIST JUSTOSIAN HERMIT STATE

Today the Premier spoke on the subject of the Justosian's recent public declarations that the Northern Cooperative Unions are a so-called "threat." Premier Jaroslavas smartly pointed out that Justosia is within another hemisphere. With a smile, Jaroslavas stated the following for our organization, "If the Justosians consider us a threat, it goes to show that the Northern Cooperative's strength on the world stage! We have free real estate in their heads! Such a hermit kingdom filled to the brim with hatred of any doctrine not befitting their silly world view deserves no serious attention. Our country, of course, is willing to negotiate with any government not of our creed or doctrine. Realpolitik is necessary in this age. The Proletarian North is no enemy to the European peoples, we desire peace and prosperity with strict observations for independence and legitimacy. The Justosians are very clearly motivated by greed - you cannot necessarily blame all capitalists with the paintbrush of greed, but in this case the Justosians are beset by an illness of massive capitalistic greed. It is clear - look at their buildup. Any Northern citizen can access the internet to see the news of the Justosian government massively increasing their military budget. Let it be known to the Proletarian North - our comrades of the Iron Pact, Rurikgrad in particular, will not be pressured by any other country. The North has always fought for independence, and we will continue to do so."

Premier Jaroslavas did not answer any further questions about the situation, and instead spoke of reforms instituted within the capitol - particularly, opening economic markets for privatization. This is a trend clear with the previous administration.

CORRUPTION INVESTIGATIONS CONCLUDE

After several months of a pending investigation, the Commissioner of Internal Affairs Mindaugas Simon today announced the conclusion of the long-term investigation launched against corrupt elements of the Northern Proletariat. Stating very sternly, Simon warned corrupt elements of the government that exploitation of the peoples of the Northern Realms would not continue, as much trust is placed in their abilities to perform their duties for the benefit of our peoples. Simon refused to state the total numbers of apprehended, but roaming elections will be held in districts where vacancies are present. Several court hearings were held this morning in Rigustad against approximately 20 members of the Cooperatives who, as Simon claims, "... involved in the degradation of our democratic collective and association with criminalistic elements of our Realm."

Jaroslavas also noted the death of President Fyodorov of Crotobaltislavonia. Jaroslavas led a moment of silence with the Chambers of the Presidium out of respect for the deceased. All cooperatives voted unanimously to lower flags to half-mast in a show of solidarity.

Union Forewoman Daina, a veritable "babushka" of the Eastern reaches hailing from the Latgal town of Dadga has claimed the top spot in the Cantignian Culinary Gauntlet. Grandmother to a total of seven children, Daina claims she learned how to cook when she was only seven years old due to her mother being the breadwinner of her family. 62 years old, Daina has shown other contestants her skill thus far. NCPN SEES EXPANSION PLANS IN 2019

In response to recent naval maneuvers conducted by nations within Gallo-Germania through both the Hamar and Long Seas, Admiral Daghelm has today declared the Navy's to augment the People's Navy with a training carrier. He states that the Proletariat will seek such a vessel from a nation or produce our own with the help of foreign engineers. The intention, Daghelm stated, is to "ensure our forces experiment and train with the doctrines necessary to be able to support such a vessel prior to operating one on a consistent basis, as such military doctrines are foreign to the North." The vessel is envisioned to be the size of an escort-carrier or somewhat larger in order to gain experience with such operations.

Daghelm also pinpointed the intent to procure three or more flight-deck cruisers. The NCPNS Frīdrihs is one such vessel which was launched in 2012 to support merchant and escort operations along the Straits. Such vessels would be used for security and defensive purposes within both the White and Gothic Seas.

The target goal of the program is procuring these vessels by the end of 2019.

The Cooperative Council has ensured the Proletariat that the production or purchasing of such vessels would not cause deficits, as the country has garnered a great surplus since Premier Jaroslavas' "Visionary Future" modernization programs.

The shooting left five men inside dead, including local boss Georgy "Gigya" Semenenko, a reputed union man who represented the Latgalian lumber industry. Georgy, who was subject to several UDBA organized crime investigations, had gone out to dine with several of his colleagues from the Union at the social club. Georgy and his cohorts were killed at their dining spot by several masked men, who according to the local Militsiya representatives, "fired indiscriminately from the outside into the restaurant."

The UDBA believe the killings were due to a gang conflict, but local Militsiya officials have asked for calm until the investigation can be completed.

URGENT REPORT - BREAKING NEWS - ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON PREMIER V. JAROSLVAS BOTCHED - "HORRIFIC AFFAIR" SAYS UDBA INVESTIGATORS

Our press agents on the ground in Rigustad have stated that a blast of an unknown nature destroyed a portion of Revolution Street while the newly selected Premier, headed to the Central Council for the first meeting of the Council's Presidium, was very close by on his parade route. A UDBA agent told the broadcasting media firmly that the Premier was not injured or in any danger, and had in fact been ferried to an undisclosed location. The meeting of the Central Council was called off shortly after the blast.

Teutonic Militsiya Chief Dagomir Strauch stated that "It is a terrible tragedy arranged and orchestrated by an unknown, possibly criminal element of our society. My men are cooperating with the UDBA as we speak."

UDBA agents claim to still be investigating the source of the blast, but confirmation has reached us that at least 23 fatalities are known. The UDBA has declined to release names or details.
