From Ûdin with love

Seeing what happened to their generally despised but historical neighbour, Occitania, the Friulian people where satisfied by the government's decision to remain neutral during the 7 days war, but now the communist Serenierre was surrounding most of the nation's borders, and the debate inside the Cjantarìns party was getting noisy; the party leader and prime minister, Furio Mauro, was sure about one thing: Friuli would remain free.

The foreign policy followed by Udin with the cumbersome northern neighbour was always the same: respectful geopolitical disagreement and religious unity, but now respect wasn't enough any more.

"As requested we have our men trained ready to go, their documents have been fabricated, but the IDs won't fool a serious inspection, so we need to act very carefully" the man put some files on the table "the men we selected all come from beyond the Timâf river, no regular Serenêr citizen will be able to spot pronunciation differences, siôr X will move to Bullion, Y to Ècouen, and Z will reach Beaumont on a registered Serenêr fishing boat. of course the locations will be changed as soon as we get the right opportunity and informations"

Furio nodded in agreement "take your time, I don't want anything rushed, let this operation bloom naturally. I want regular updates from our men, and a plan B to ensure they'll be able to leave Serenêre if need be, I don't care if that plan brings them back home or in the grace of God, as long as they don't end up in a Serenêre prison"

"as you wish Prime Minister, I will keep you updated" the man shook his hand with Furio Mauro and left the office.

Sending spies to Serenêre wasn't a decision taken lightly, the party was getting paranoid, and he didn't want to rely only on the good faith of the Patriarchate to ensure the safety of his people, if something went wrong he wanted the army to be ready, no surprises could be afforded.

The smell of the meat cooking on the barbecue blended with the fragrance of the flowers already covering most of the hills around the country house.

A big black car was driving up the hill, on a gravel road surrounded by farmland and vinyards.
the car stopped near the building, under the shadow of a tall cypress, and three men in suits got off.

"Greetings, mr. Prime Minister" said a bearded man

"Can we talk in private?"

The Prime Minister sat at a desk in the small office in the building

"The reports from our spies have arrived"
The bearded man took a sealed file from his briefcase and handed it over to Furio.
