Azraqi opposition demands Emperor takes reins after Cabaon crisis

Jugol, PAHINA - Azraq's main opposition party has called on Emperor Tiirka Illah to dissolve parliament and rule absolutely following the ongoing turmoil in neighbouring Cabaon, a former Caledonian colony.

The Party of Principles blamed the ruling coalition's lack of majority for the instability, suggesting a "strong government" would have prevented the unrest in Cabaon.

Azraqi Prime Minister Hika Qiltu has been scrambling around for a new coalition partner after the Shamo People's Liberation Front pulled out in protest of what it saw as an aggressively interventionist foreign policy. Azraqi special forces are believed to be active in Logo, another ex-Caledonian colony, and the Azraqi air force has carried out air strikes targeting communist rebels in the country.

Local press report Qiltu is currently negotiating with nationalists from Kollam, also known as the Azraqi Spice Islands, although members of his own Justice Party are pushing for a minority administration.

The Principlists, who were in power before the current left-wing coalition swept to victory, argue the lack of stability has put Azraq in a weaker position geopolitically and want the Emperor to intervene directly. "His Imperial Majesty should take action before the Empire is in critical danger," a Principled spokesman said.

The Imperial Household has yet to comment and few believe the Emperor will abolish democratic governance given the constitutional crisis it will cause. However the move will put yet more pressure on Qiltu and his allies the Movement for the Poor and Dispossessed to either forge a new coalition, go alone or call fresh elections.

Dune Sea Dominion to launch public naming campaign to officially rename Dominion

Sandhavn, PAHINA - Hage Pohamba, the Prime Minister of the Dune Sea Dominion announced his idea to give birth to a new identity the Dune Sea Dominion. This is being based on his idea of rebranding the Dominion has a more independent and native based country. The issue has been divisive to the identity of the Dominion of 2.9 million people, where roughly 3/5ths of the population is native, compared to 2/5ths being of mixed or ethnically Jysk-Austwegian. Thus far prior attempts to name the Dominion have failed, where Parliament has held debate and failed to come to an agreement.

Traditionally the Parliament is dominated by one party, the Everyman’s Party which consists of an alliance of the various tribes of the Dominion. The Everyman’s Party has failed to come to agreement on a name due to the fact that native names are not embraced by all the tribes unanimously.

The competition will select names from Twatter and by mail, which afterwards the most popular will then be put forward to the people in a referendum. Names must be submitted with the #DominionNameContest hashtag and will be open for the next two weeks.

Natalian Air Force disables freighter off the coast of Loago

Maseru, PAHINA - The Natalian Air Forces together with the Government in Maseru have reported that a freighter bearing no flag which has entered into a forbidden zone along the coast and has refused to respond to the hails of the Loagan Coastal Guard.

The freighter was a small feeder class container ship of 400 TEU, which has been first reported crossing the pillars of Nearchus two days ago and then moved on a route approaching the last coastal villages owned by the LLC group in Loago. The freighter had no flag, no name and has refused to respond to the hails of the Loagan Coast Guard.

After the ship was approaching the coast and 10 miles from the coast it hasn't responded to any hails, three planes from the Orodara Air Force Base have taken off and have reached the freighter in a matter of minutes. After escorting it and trying to reach it by radio, the plane have fired a few warning shots, but as the freighter did not respond and did not change course, missiles were shot, destroying the propellers of the ship.

After the ship was stopped, the Loagan Coast Guard have boarded it and have arrested its crew. From the initial reports, small weapons such as submachine guns and RPGs were discovered in some of the containers, while the great majority of them were filled with foodstuffs. No member of the crew had any ID on them and have been placed on arrest and the load of the ship confiscated.

It is believe that between the foodstuffs, there will be a large cache of weapons waiting to be discovered when all the containers will be opened and inspected in Maseru. The ship will be tugged into the port of Maseru and an investigation will be started by the Loagan Military Police.

General Adhama Usian, the supreme commander of the Loagan Security Forces has stated that with this successful operation, the sea lane through which rogue foreign elements were smuggling weapons to the LLC can be declared to be fully closed down, signifying the beginning of the end of the Loagan Bush War.

Her Majesty’s Government notes the concerns of the Azraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their advice on matters of domestic tranquility within the realm. The Dune Sea Dominion maintains clear competences on their domestic agenda and their crowdsourced name campaign is the result of such competences. To conflate all activity within the Dune Sea Dominion as intervention from Gothenhagen would be systematically ignorant of the relationship between the Two Kingdoms and its Dominions.

Bearing in mind the Azraqi cultural penchant for maintaining advice on matters outside of their realm or knowledge base, I will personally as a matter of kindness return Azraqi advice for our own in regards to the domestic concerns of the Azraqi Empire, especially in concern to the issues and concerns of the citizenry of the Spice Islands.

While criticising the Empire of Azraq's supposedly own limited knowledge base, the government of betrays its own ignorance regarding the Azraqi Spice Islands.

This archipelago is as tied to the Himyari mainland as the arm is to the human body through centuries, if not millennia, of contact and exchange.

Even look at the subjects of the Viceroyalty of Kollam - they are of a similar skin colour. The same cannot be said of the Austwegians and people of the Dune Sea Dominion.

Protests outside of Government House over the Hunting of the Ironcoat Goat

Hamill's Town, PAHINA - Throughout the week there have been small scale protests outside of Government House in Hamill's Town over the allowance of the hunting of a national symbol, the Ironcoat Goat* by foreign hunters. These protests have largely been from nationalists, animal rights activists, and college students, according to interviews.

Despite protests, the Dominion Interior & Wildlife service has said that it will not change the allowance of the Ironcoat Goat by any who has the money to pay for the privilege and the patience to wait to be approved for the yearly quota. The defense on the matter has said that the allowance of foreign hunters to hunt Ironcoat Goats and other animals in the Wildlife Service's care is a measure which helps pay for the wild life service, as well as pay for Gormaigh tribals living in or around the animal preserves to help take care of the animals and be a militia to stop poachers.

The controversy started after a series of Gunnish & Caledonian Businessmen posted pictures of their kills of the internet's premier social media site, twatter, and got retwatted by numerous people both in pride and in disgust. The government of the Dominion has stated it will consider changing the policy, but has clarified that the entire body of the dead Ironcoat Goat is used even if no trophy is taken by the hunter, and it helps feed the local tribals in addition to the money they gain from the quota hunts.

*actually a creature closely related to the Pronghorn of Arthalan and the Steppelands in Westernesse, and the Giraffe or Okapi here in Himyar).

Analysis: Inside Azraq's broken coalition government

Jugol, PAHINA - News that the All Islands Kollamese National Union (AIKNU), the largest party in the Azraqi Spice Islands, has withdrawn its support for the Azraqi Empire's left-wing coalition government will surprise noone who follows the country's messy politics.

Following the withdrawal of the Shamo People's Liberation Front from the coalition in a dispute over foreign policy, with the SPLF accusing Azraqi Prime Minister Hika Qiltu of acting like a 'white Western imperialist' after intervening in Loago and Port Stanley, the Azraqi imperial government has been scrambling around for support.

In the AIKNU, Qiltu believed he had found his partner. Economically left-wing and supportive of his moves to decolonise the Spice Islands, they were a natural fit with the social democratic Justice Party and more radical Movement for the Poor and Dispossessed.

However news the AIKNU were propping up the Azraqi imperial government went down badly in Kollam, with demonstrations and even riots in the capital city of Malapuram.

Looking for a way out, the AIKNU targeted the Joint Spice Islands Energy Corporation (JSPIEC), a joint venture between the Azraqi Imperial Oil and Gas Company (AIOGC) and the Cussian State Foreign Mercantile Trust (SFMT), which is ultimately owned by the government of Beautancus.

Beautancus is a major supplier of military equipment to Azraq and also a significant investor, with private and public interests across the Empire.

In a bid to burnish their nationalist credentials, and knowing their demands would ultimately be rejected, the AIKNU demanded the Cussian half of the JSPIEC as a price for continued support.

According to Azraqi insiders, the SFMT made clear "in no uncertain terms" it would not surrender its stake in the company, which is responsible for all oil and gas extraction around Kollam.

Qiltu was reportedly considering gifting or selling part of the AIOGC's interest in the JSPIEC, yet that was quickly shot down, with the Azraqi Emperor Tiirka Illah reportedly warning he would veto any attempt to water down AIOGC's involvement.

The AIKNU have since ended their support for Qiltu's administration, leaving the Azraqi PM with two options: soldier on as a minority government or call new elections they would likely lose.

According to parliamentary records, this has been one of the most inactive governments in modern Azraqi history, with little legislation proposed or passed thanks to coalition in-fighting, opposition entrenchment and outside events.

Foreign policy, barely a topic during the election, was now front and centre, thanks to the upcoming negotiations with Pelasgia over Tephanon, Communism's advance into Gallo-Germania, civil war in Loago and unrest in Port Stanley.

Mulatu Birru, head of the SPLF and then foreign minister, was perceived to have handled the Tephanon issue badly, openly nonplussed by the islands' future and attending talks in his old guerilla uniform, outraging Dawamalian nationalists, for who Tephanon was a totemic issue. "Any goodwill we had from the opposition was lost after Tephanon," rues one Justice Party lawmaker.

Then Birru attempted to pivot Azraq towards the Rurikgrad Pact following its victories in Trivodnia and Occitania. "There was bizarre talk of sharing the Hamar Ocean... ultimately neither Kadikistan or Xinhai cared," explains one civil servant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Qiltu, sensing Birru was a liability, looked to cut him out. Under pressure from the Emperor, he also promised to intervene in Loago's civil war, targeting the Loagan League of Communists, former allies of the SPLF, and also in Port Stanley, going after the RANU-PF, again former friends of the SPLF.

Birru, personally incensed from being locked out of discussions - the Azraqi military viewed him as a potential leak - and under pressure from the SPLF old guard to remain loyal to ex-comrades-in-arms, withdrew from the coalition government.

The SPLF - Justice alliance had been crucial to the coalition winning the last election. The two had historically both contested Shamo-majority seats, wasting time and resources as well as sometimes allowing non-Shamo candidates to win. Yet by entering into a formal coalition, they were able to do a clean sweep of Shamo constituencies.

The Justice Party had also done hard work in reaching out to poor, lower-caste Dawamalians as well as those from the Ooba and Qaraf ethnic groups in the west, as had the Movement for the Poor and Dispossessed.

With a platform of redistribution and greater spending on health, education and welfare, the coalition managed to overturn fifty years of Principlist rule.

That historic victory is now in jeopardy. With the AIKNU gone, Qiltu must make the choice: call new elections or carry out on as a minority administration.

The MPD reportedly favour the second option, believing the SPLF and AIKNU won't dare to vote against the government on most issues knowing it would let the Principlists back in. However allies of Qiltu say the former bureaucrat lacks the appetite or energy for constant negotiations. "He's more a giraffe than a lion," says one friend.

The Emperor, who has thrown Qiltu a number of surprising lifelines, is also reportedly growing increasingly frustrated. "The Ivory Throne wants to see action on infrastructure, on defence.. none of this is possible with the current political situation," explains a local commentator.

Polling in the Azraqi Empire is rare, difficult and often unsophisticated. Yet what surveys have been published show disillusionment and disengagement from the urban and rural poor who put the current coalition into power. "Where are the new schools and hospitals we were promised? The new homes?" asks one supporter who lives in the slums outside the capital Jugol.

Here again, the MPD are more upbeat. "We will tell them, it is us or the high born coastal elites who have ignored you for so long!" shouts one MPD parliamentarian, who relishes the prospect of another election.

A Justice MP, resigned to defeat, doubts they would win a second time. "It was a fluke to begin with," he claims wearily.

Only a fresh vote will see who is right.

Rumored Divorce Heightens Expectations for Emira's 50th Anniversary Visit to Port Stanley

Chinde, PAHINA - Mary MacLeod, Princess of Port Stanley, Duchess of Lower Marpesia, and Countess of Arundel, is preparing for a visit to the Commonwealth of Port Stanley to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stanlean independence.

Port Stanley won its independence from Lower Marpesia in 1979 after a fifteen year civil conflict known as the "bush war." The small, culturally Gunnish country has more recently become part of the Kingdom of Gunnland. The princess has a largely ceremonial constitutional role. Princess Mary has indicated she is excited to journey to the country for the second time, and also to see her regent, Prince Joachas of Gunnland (the younger brother of Queen Julian), and his mother, Queen Mother Deoiridh. The Gunnish royals have been living in their winter palace in Chinde.

Mary is usually known as the "emira" of Port Stanley, but the title is controversial among some Muslims, especially in Oriel ("Mashrabiya"), because she is a Christian. There are rumors that Princess Mary is divorcing her husband of two years, former Gunnish Leader James Buchanan Blackthorn. While these have been met with dread and embarrassment by Gunnish Catholics, some in Port Stanley hope she will now take a Himyari husband.

Prime Minister Octavia Butler refused to take questions on the matter in a press conference, only stating that Chinde and all Port Stanley were ready to welcome the princess.

Azraqi opposition parties demand timetable for fresh elections

Jugol, PAHINA - Azraq's smaller opposition parties have called on the Azraqi Emperor Tiirka Illah to name a date for new elections, as fears grow over a prolonged period of absolute Imperial rule.

In an unprecedented joint statement, the Dawamalian Youth League, Helpers of the Imam, Party of the Future and Western List urged a "transparent and speedy" return to parliamentary democracy, warning continued political uncertainty would risk unrest.

The statement comes ahead of the Supreme Court ruling on whether the Emperor's decision to suspend the Imperial Parliament was constitutional. Few expect the Court to rule against the Emperor and with the Ivory Throne refusing to set out timescales for fresh elections, as previously promised by the Emperor, worries grow over indefinite Imperial rule.

"We may agree with the Emperor's foreign policy assessments but ultimately sovereignty is shared with the people," says a Futurist politician, who frets the move will set a precedent for future monarchs to intervene in order to get their agenda through.

Others fear Emperor Tiirka Illah's reforms. A known moderniser, he favours economic deregulation and massive infrastructure investment combined with extra defence spending. "Azraq cannot afford such distractions," claims an MP from the Helpers of the Imam.

However, all four opposition parties ruled out cooperating with the Justice Party, Movement for the Poor and Dispossessed and Shamo People's Liberation Front, who lodged the challenge in the Supreme Court and previously made up Azraq's elected government.

The largest opposition group the Party of Principles also has thrown its weight behind the Emperor, while the Council of Elders and other imperial families support the Emperor - for now.

"The only real counterbalance to the Emperor in Azraq is the elite," says Himyari politics professor Arthur Chikerema of Equatorial University of Harton, the Natal.

Dignitaries gather in Port Stanley, celebrate 50th anniversary of "beacon of peace and harmony"

Chinde, PAHINA - The Commonwealth of Port Stanley celebrated the 50th anniversary of its successful 1979 uprising against Lower Marpesia. But the meaning of the colonels' 1979 "Easter War" has changed now that the country has a Nethian prime minister, and Commonwealth League white rule seems to have come to an end with the death of Ian Smith last year.

Prime Minister Octavia Butler embraced Countess Mary, the titular ruler of Lower Marpesia and the nominal Stanlean head of state, and said, "In fifty years, we have built a harmonious country where black and white, Fante and Damawali, Muslim and Catholic, live in peace. Port Stanley is a beacon of peace in eastern Himyar."

Prince Joachas, the younger brother of Queen Julian of Gunnland, appeared in public for the first time in almost a year. He was accompanied by Robert Gunn, the Duke of Clyth and the chief of the royal clan.

Port Stanley forces rout Burukovas and RANU, enter Umtali amid international controversy

Umtali, PAHINA - Rwenbezi Light Infantry troops have entered Umtali, Loago, after a week of battling Burukova Syndicate fighters. After routing a Burukova attacking force in Nungwi, near the Azraqi border, the RLI has made rapid progress down the Mabwawa Coast, and now controls its largest city. Another RLI force parachuted into the Alfajiri Mountains and obliterated a force of 500 RANU fighters. The RANU leader, George "Comrade Georges" Battle, evaded capture.

Loagan and Natalian statesmen have called the RLI operations an illegal invasion. Prime Minister Octavia Butler responded with a written statement that the Loago operation is "necessary for the self-defense of the Commonwealth of Port Stanley" and "anti-terrorism operations will continue until Mr. Battle is captured and brought to justice in Fort Smith." She called Port Stanley a small country and said that the anarchic situation in western Loago, which the RANU used as a base, posed an existential theat.

Chinde has stopped short of accusing Loago's National Unity Government of protecting or sheltering the RANU. The tribal politics are complicated. Many in Loago's Catholic Wala community are concerned that Port Stanley's suddenly assertive Muslim Fante majority, which has taken over power from white Catholics after the death of Prime Minister Ian B. Smith, will embolden the Fante living in northern Loago. There are historic tensions between the two communities.

It is a sad state to see Nethian fighting Nethian in Himyar in much the same way we saw white man fight white man in Gallo-Germania, however the criminal activity of the Burukova syndicate and its communist allies in the RANU and LLC could no longer be tolerated.

The Empire of Azraq has made clear, through allowing Stanleyan forces to use Azraqi territory as a base of operations, that we see the intervention by Port Stanley as just and legitimate.

The Azraqi Imperial Armed Forces will also continue to support our Muslim brothers in the Fante Highlands to ensure their rights and freedoms are respected.

This is not to say we seek the division of Loago along ethnic or religious lines. The Empire itself is made up of many peoples and faiths. Nor we wish to see the National Unity Government fail. After all, it was Azraq that demanded Virumaan and Elbener forces vacate Loago so Himyar could ultimately be for the Himyaris.

To that end, His Imperial Majesty Boqor Tiirka Illah is willing to host the governments and administrations of Port Stanley, Loago and ETCOS to Jugol to secure peace and an equitable settlement.

Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Port Stanley
The Commonwealth of Port Stanley will be party to peace talks in Jugol. We are prepared to make a phased withdrawal our forces from the Mabwawa Coast when the National Unity Government is able to assume control of the region, provided our security concerns can be met and apprehended RANU fighters are extradited to Fort Smith for justice. I shall personally represent the commonwealth.

Little Loago Mayor’s Office
Little Loago, Engellachia State

While we have found our peace in developing a home away from home and the violence that ravages our country, the Little Loago camp council has voted to petition our benefactors from the great State of Engellachia to sponsor a plane for Jugol.

We do not represent a side in the war, unless you may for a moment consider the refugees, which the international community continues to largely ignore, as a true interest for the future of Loago after these unfortunate days of war are over. Simply: we desire a seat at the table to hear all sides, and when afforded the opportunity speak our peace.

Peace Grace Us All,

Post-Delegationist Leaders of the Maisha Free State Urges Peace

Camp Lovisa, PAHINA - Leaders of the small Post-Delegationist Maisha Free State have called for a general cease-fire after the sudden decline of Communist forces in Loago. There is a belief among those who live at Camp Lovisa, now the third largest population center in in the Maisha River Valley, that the future of Loago rests in a Confederacy of Loagan States. A future that is now realistic in their view with the decline of the LLC, and the likely end of the Burukova. Upon the entrance of forces from Port Stanley, the reality of the weak alliance between the Maisha Free State and the Burukova group, has come to an end. Lev Burukova who refused to outright support the Post-Delegationists could have used their supplies when Port Stanley’s troops invaded the region.

Camp Uusimaa which was situated in the Burukova region has moved essential staff and supplies moved to Camp Lovisa, but remains as a safe harbor for locals who have had to flee fighting.

Current General Muluzi of the Maisha River Valley is supported by Post-Delegationists from largely Pohjanmaa, but also some that hail from Touzen and Seora. Muluzi himself is from the largest town in the Maisha Free State, Mutombo and is widely believed to be installed as the main actor due to his understandings of the Post-Delegationist doctrine. Post-Delegationism in the Maisha Free State is not the same as understood in Pohjanmaa or the Anti-State. Instead Post-Delegationism here is widely understood by religion and God. Many Pohjanmaans have tried in vain to spread the Post-Delegationist doctrine due to its theory being very based in Touzenese and subsequently Scanian thought. What has proved popular with the people in the Maisha River Valley is Savolainenism, the very personal Christian thought that comes from Pohjanmaa. Through Savolainenism, Post-Delegationism has been spread. The result has been a movement that is more theocratic and religious than political. General Muluzi himself having the background of being a pastor.

Muluzi himself saying, “We have all sinned on this planet, the Maisha Free State gives us freedom by placing our faith in God in our own hands. Our people here understand this faith in God guides us, and in our individual relationship with God, must be how we engage Loago as a whole.”

So what is Post-Delegationism in the Maisha River Valley? It has become an understanding that a personal relationship with God is the most important thing in their society. The rugged individualism of Post-Delegationism is not the defining trait, but appears to be instead growing via a religious movement.

Analysis: Silence in Azraq over Gunnish romance rumours

Camp Hill, PAHINA - An alleged romance that has shocked Gallo-Germania has barely been reported in the Azraqi Empire, as strict lèse-majesté laws prevent any reporting on the supposed relationship between Countess MacLeod of Gunnland and Ina Boqor (Prince) Dalmar Filsan Tahiil, as made public by Eiffellander tabloid SCHAU.

Photos leaked to the famous gossip publication show the two enjoying intimate moments at luxury resorts in the Viceroyalty of Kollam, also known it as the Azraqi Spice Islands. Rumours suggest the pair intend to marry, causing uproar in Gunnland, where the Countess faces possible charges of bigamy and also general opposition by motivated by the Azraqi prince's race and religion.

Despite not being publicly discussed, the affair is privately causing trouble in Azraqi politics too. The other six imperial families of Azraq, founders of the League of the Fertile Crescent that preceded the First Azraqi Empire, reportedly consider Price Dalmar's moves as an attempt to undermine reigning Boqor (Emperor) Tiirka Illah's foreign policy.

If Price Dalmar was to marry Countess MacLeod, not only would he gain considerable influence in the Kingdom of Gunnland but also the Commonwealth of Port Stanley. The ex-Marpesian colony is currently using Azraqi territory to invade Loago, and has a prominent Azraqi minority mostly descended from traders and slavers.

"This would give an Ina Boqor of the Haradhera dynasty [one of the seven Imperial families] unprecedented clout abroad while the current Emperor still sits on the Ivory Throne," explains one Azraqi commentator, who asked to remain anonymous to avoid any potential prosecution.

Then there are also concerns over the faith and ethnicity of Countess MacLeod herself. "A white Tiburan Empress would be unthinkable," says another Azraqi columnist, who against asks to be anonymous for the same reason.

For the Haradhera dynasty, Prince Dalmar converting from Hajari Islam to Catholicism would be a huge embarrassment. "Islam is the bedrock of the Empire," continues the columnist.

However in an official statement from the Azraqi foreign affairs ministry statement, the current Azraqi administration - a temporary one appointed by Emperor Tiirka Illah - said religious and racial differences should not prevent a marriage. "We do hope that the faith and race of a potential Azraqi emperor would not be a barrier to marriage of a Gunnish noblewoman," said a spokesman, after saying it was Azraqi policy not to comment on the private lives of nobles.

Azraq operates a unique rotational monarchy, where seven families swap the title of Emperor every six years. The current Emperor is from the Gabood dynasty, historically one of the most powerful families with strong ties to Beautancus, one of Azraq's most important allies.

The Haradhera dynasty is also close to key Cussian figures, although with looser ties than the Gabood family.

The current Emperor has taken the unprecedented step of suspending parliament, citing domestic political gridlock and geopolitical insecurity.

So far the other imperial families have backed him, but the move by Prince Dalmar may suggest behind-the-door manoeuvring is occurring.

Port Stanley forces begin phased withdrawal from northwestern Loago

Umtali, PAHINA - The Rwenbezi Light Infantry is leaving Loago, two months after a controversial invasion that divided Himyar. The withdrawal follows four-party peace talks in Jugol between Loago, Port Stanley, Azraq, and the Natal. Prime Minister Octavia E. Butler says the Jugol peace process was encouraging. "Port Stanley and all of our regional partners put peace first in Jugol," she told reporters, "it is a very positive step towards peace and prosperity in our troubled corner of the world."

The Stanleyan commander in Loago, Colonel Callum Marlow, emphasized the success of the counter-terrorist mission. "The RLI routed the RANU terrorist forces and their Burukova and LLC sponsors in a matter of weeks after the Battle of Nungwi, and killed George Battle in action," Marlow's statement read, "proving once again that Port Stanley has a disciplined and capable fighting force that is the envy of Himyar." Captain Michael C. Ogilvie and newly-promoted Major Djiba Sundiata were given heroes' welcomes in Chinde.

Critics from the opposition Popular Front in Chinde, however, have questioned the cost of the operations, especially the loss of life and helicopters in the initial invasion. Popular Front deputy Anne-Marie Kwakwa told PAHINA, "Our country violated international norms and dangerously risked an international conflagration." She went on to say that, in her view, the Rwenbezi Light Infantry was unprepared for counterinsurgencies, pointing to heavy losses at the Amani River and Toma, after the initial success in taking the Mabwawa Coast.

Loago is undergoing a constitutional change to a more confederal structure that Prime Minister Moyo Kamara calls a "Loago of communities." Major Sundiata, who is supervising the phased RLI withdrawal, has pledged Stanleyan support to help the Mabwawa Coast rebuild its security infrastructure, in order to uproot criminal syndicates engaged in opium production and human trafficking. "Robert Gunn opened the eyes of the world to these problems," Sundiata wrote in an e-mail, "and I hope Loagans continue the work he started."

The Mai of Cabaon visits Jugol

Jugol, PAHINA - Fela Kazi, the Mai of Cabaon is continuing his friendship tour of East Himyar, after staying two weeks in Natal, visiting the cities of Camp Hill, Harton, Blackmere, Parow and Mzuzu, the next destination is Jugol, the capital city of the Empire of Azraq.

As of yet, the Mai's trip to Natal has been very productive, with discussions taking place for the reformation of the EHTO into an Eastern Himyari Development Community, and gaining promises of investments from the Federal Investment Corporation and the Engello-Natalian Mining Conglomerate.

Now the Mai is in Jugol where he will meet with the Emperor of Azraq, Tiirka Illah, which has taken control of the country after the foreign policy flops of the government of Hika Qiltu and the failures of the parliament to form a new government.

The main topics of discussion will be a reaffirmation of the present borders of Azraq and Cabaon as unalienable, with Azraq ending its territorial claim over the Maiate and Cabaon respecting the territorial interity of the Empire by not supporting separatist movements of the Ooba People. At the same time, further trade and cultural and religious bonds between the two are to be discussed.
