- A flag; a coat of arms; a national seal or emblem; a signature image; a basic map; a resized picture.
- For instance, a flag design with the size 500 x 300 pixels indicates a horizontal display. A flag design with the size 300 x 500 pixels indicates a vertical display.
- Describe the general features of the design. Transparant background, borders, ... Whether the coat of arms should use specific shield shapes, have a crown etc. You also might to clarify the purpose or 'location' of your image (a newspaper header, a thumbnail for your factbook, ...).
- Provide image-url(s) if you want specific images/elements to be included. Additionally you could mention certain colours or effects or post images as a reference.
- The opposite: make sure if you don't want specific features to include your design: avoiding certain font types, colour schemes etc.

Salen can you please slightly shrink my coat of arms? I remember a few here complained my old one was too big. Can you also please slightly enlarge the centerpiece of my flag (eagle)?

Have you checked the previous version(s) I posted? =) The last one has been resized significantly. If still judged too large, please do express the actual height or width of the image. Otherwise you still might want to resize it again (which - not to be a nag - you can easily do yourself using Apple's free Preview app, Windows Paint or Adobe Acrobat).
Concerning the design centred on your flag: I will enlarge it a bit but I suggest the coat of arms does not surpass the white cross. Unless you really want to of course. =) The possible issue is that this vertical design defacing a horizontal field may look less appealing if the blue shield touches the blue background.

I don't have any of those programs I think. I'm pretty bad with stuff like this. It's gigantic. Yea that's way too big. I can just keep using the old one. Don't wanna keep asking.

Doesn't work. No matter what number size I tried, %, etc, it just keeps saying "please select a smaller image size". Yet I resized it. I told you I'm really bad at this type of stuff. Measurements, spacial reasoning, etc. Always was. As a Poli Sci guy anything involving math usually sucks for me. The old one isn't THAT big. So I'll just keep using that. Thanks for everything.

Not an upgrade per se. Not for Justosia anyway. And I'm bad with simple code. I'm no graphics artist. Hence why I'm here.
I think they're suggesting not that you do actual drawing, but that you do the creation, come up with original ideas, rather than simply borrowing.
As an example: a coat of arms, a shield with four quarters. Upper left and lower right are black boars on a field of green. Upper right and lower left are unicorns on yellow. On top of the shield is a golden crown.

I thought I was. That's an actual Scottish COA? Never seen it before. Got it off some game wiki page. I thought the Scottish COA followed the British design?
