AVALON: Legislative debate thunders in the capital as the opposition/minority Social Democratic Party is vowing to again bring a vote to legalize gay marriage empire wide to the floor. Proclamation follows the official acknowledgment by the palace last night that Prince Carlos Francisco III, former heir to the Throne of Falcons, is bisexual. Minority Speaker claims "new wind in our sails." The SDP would need to flip 14 Nationalist Right Bloc senators to secure the 53 vote majority needed.

An outbreak of wildfires in Estado Sipe Sipe, in the south-western fringes of Entre Rios, close to the border with Tapenaga has alarmed the federal authorities in Santa Cruz. As per the estimates of the local firefighters and administration, by now about 1000 square kilometres of the Selva has burned, with much more to come in the following days thanks to strong winds.

The administration in Ciudad de Sipe Sipe has been taken by surprise, as because of the typical lush and humid climate around the deep south-west, such wildfires have been extremely rare, but a particularly strong dry thunderstorm is seen as the main cause of this outbreak. The government in Santa Cruz has quickly responded, declaring a state of emergency and mobilising the rapid response units of the army to aid the fire fighters.

Following a direct order from Consul Valera, the Committee on Foreign Affairs has adjusted its agenda and removed a bill that would have had the committee vote on membership in the Organization of Democratic States. The vote would have ensured that the entire body of the National Court would debate the matter. While the Consul’s Office did not return our outreach for comment, opponents of the ODS site that the inclusion of Furlaine, Pelasgia, and Justosia along with the FNT’s announcement of opposition has “severely strained” the government’s ability to approve membership.

The Las Palmas Police Department confirmed that Kadikistani National, Risto Đorđević, is in stable condition at Las Palmas Municipal Hospital. Đorđević was admitted in serious condition last night after a group of Jurzani-Aurarians, once discovering his Kadikistani nationality, jumped the man and severely beat him outside of a pub on Aurudorm Island. The group of Jurzani-Aurarians reportedly yelled racial slurs before dispersing as police arrived.

About 15,000 people have amassed at the Holy Trinity Church in Santa Cruz to defend Reverend Father Hector Nores, known as one of the most vehement critics of the Civic Process and one of the most influential members of the Social Theology movement. After rumours that last night undercover cops tried to kidnap him and bring him into custody, more and more people came to the scene in a show of rebellion against the regime. When the police retreated and finally left the scene this afternoon, the people erupted into applause and started singing the national anthem and make do flags from before the regime came to power started appearing in the hands of the protesters.

The result of the latter will almost certainly impact the former.

In a surprise proclamation during the celebrations for Pronunciamiento Day, signifying the beginning of the struggle for Independence of Entre Rios, President Roberto Campos y Tamayo has announced his intention to dismantle political elements of the Civic Process, stating that it has done it's duty to bring prosperity, peace and stability. He stated that the incoming elections will be fully free and that the Civic Front won't return as a national unity government. Celebrations ensued in most of the country.

The last 55 political prisoners, arrested during the militarist phase of the Civic Process, have been liberated today from the Aparicio Mendez Prison in Aitabamba as part of the complete amnesty offered by President Roberto Campos. Most of them, communists, liberals, socialists and priests associated with the Social Theology, have been arrested for at about 25 years, after participating in resistance movements against the Civic Process for most of their lives. They have been hailed by a mass of people as they were released, as heroes and freedom fighters.

The group of MAs for the Mbunda and Loda regions, have resigned in block from the Himyari National Congress (Hyenas) after the lack of government action in regards to the unguarded border and the continuous stream of illegal crossings between Lakes Chamo and Malombe. Led by Unathi Mazwai, the Premier of the Mbunda Republic, the 40 members of the Assembly have resigned from the Hyenas and for the first time in more than half a century, the two regions are not represented by Hyena MAs. For this block resignation, the members of the assembly have cited the lack of local investments, corruption and authoritarian intra-party administration coming from Yonela Ashleigh Dalasile and Percy Emmett Kachipande. Unathi Mazwai stated that it is an act of affirming local patriotism against a "corrupt government that does nothing for the provinces". This is the 3rd split from the Hyena party since YAD is the Chairwoman, and this pushes her cabinet into becoming a minority government.
