I just want to make sure you understand that your very Italian looking nation is being placed in a location that is a northern and cold climate. Think about weather like Amsterdam or Hamburg. If you are looking for a more Mediterranean climate I suggest you place yourself south of the Claret sea next to the Greek themed nation Pelasgia.

On top of that your neighbors up there are Scots, Dutch, Baltic German, and Burgundian so you have an idea of what kind of place you are putting yourself.

Yes, i know. Despite the italian name of my country and of the head of state and government (but i can change them i suppose), i am giving to my nation an english political/economical structure.
However, if it's a problem, i will change my request, asking for the territory next to Pelasgia.

I think political and economic structure matter less than ethnicity of the people. Will they be like 'Italians' or like 'Brits'?

Like brits, sorry for not saying it. If it is better i can change the names to english ones.

No, please, by all means keep the names as you wish! Perhaps there was a wave of Italian-speaking immigrants in your history (just an example). I was just wondering about the ethnic makeup of your country

I don't see what Italian language has to do with climate. There is precedent for other Romance languages neighboring him, and even were there not, it's not like Romanian has Latin language neighbors.

Also, for what it's worth, Italian is near both Slavic and Germanic language groups, particularly in the northeast, like Friuli-Venezia-Giulia.

The rules of Touyou are perhaps the most strict. Xen does not want needless Euro-hegemony and cultural superiority all over the map, especially in our Asia. There are many locations around the map that carry no limitations. Gallo-Germania and Touyou carry the most limitations.

It’s just an Italian language player would most likely have a certain idea as to how their nation’s climate and region is like. Meanwhile the rest of the forum looks at that geography and expects something else.

Similar problems occurred for example when Justosia thought it was winter time and it was actually summer time for him in the Southern Hemisphere.

Additionally, we are still adhering to ethnic clustering as much as possible. There is a region for Romance languages, with four possible open locations. The region he (she?) is requesting to settle in would be a location best fit for Dutch or French cultural nations. They have seemed to desire to create an English nation there, and perhaps that is fine considering the fact there are Scottish folks across from that map spot. — Now they just need to hit the post count mark.

I was joking, if the inclusion of the elves bit in my "complaint" didn't make it obvious.

I want to make very very clear, that a new map update is being released in a matter of hours to days... as part of this update, many applications in this thread won’t be mapped for a variety of reasons. The main reason is that they are applications that occurred in the last week with new nations. There is nothing wrong with those applications, but they won’t be mapped until the next map. So please continue to RP and we’ll see your application processed for the map released in May!

Is there any issue with me assuming ownership of "all" unclaimed territory within the square I drew, and creating a national map based off of that? I was hoping to try starting some diplomatic RP with neighbors and work out maritime boundaries and EEZ, especially with Madurja and Auraria.

Also, is there any chance for an uncolored, unlabeled map to be posted; one with just boundaries?

Sure, go for it!

As for the blank map request, that could be arranged sometime in the future but isn’t on my priority list for the time being due to the map still not being finished as far as my “grand plan” for the future is. The next map release will look quite a bit more bare bones than the prior one.
