Current Nationalist Canciller Felipe Suarez has officially 3 more days left in his administration. Today his office informed that of incoming Social Democrat Manuel Albares that it will be ready to hand him the keys, Wednesday. The transition period alotted was indeed enough. On 10:00 AM Justosian Time, January 12, 2022, a Social Democrat will again occupy the highest elected position on the mainland. For the first time since November 7, 1971.

In his inaugural address, Social Democrat Canciller Manuel Albares swore upon the Bible of the national church that he will maintain his moderate politics while reminding people that it is a new day in the empire. He pledged to call out human rights abusers. Right or left. Went on to say that he can't wait for his first official meeting with the Emperatriz & that he has already scheduled a meeting with the Senado Orador. His priorities remain the environment, expanding welfare, & fighting for gay marriage for starters. The Nationalist led senado for its part has shown very little interest in working with him.

Six men that had been sentenced to death for the assassination of General Horvath in the Pannonian civil war and treason to the Csengian Kingdom were put to death by hanging. Senado Orador (Senate Speaker) & now the most powerful elected Nationalist in the lands, Tomas Castro (NCRA-Avalon) has done something unprecedented in his decade long career as leader of the body. He's addressed a foreign government. The empire's bigger Nationalist ally, @Tarusa. Social Democrat Canciller Manuel Albares, has, in the last hour, requested that Nationalist Interior Minister Juan Calderon fire the entire staff of the Environment Sub Ministry. This is a division of the Interior Ministry. His Excellency made it as a request as to not start any sort of party drama in the halls of the Government Quarter. After a brief phone conversation with the Canciller, Calderon acquiesced. After his recent talk with Nationalist Senado Orador Tomas Castro (NCRA-Avalon), he promised to avoid costing the archipiélago jobs as he labours to protect the environment via tighter regulations. Defense Ministry officials have continued to be critical of the Thüringäu-Lethonia missile system as they prepare to test some of the system. Senador Castro went on to say that he believes that he & his conference have been plenty tolerant of newly inaugurated Canciller Manuel Albares' (NSDU) actions during his first couple of weeks in office. From firing every Nationalist member of the Environment Division of the Interior Ministry because he strongly believed that "They really don't care and their recent inaction proves it." To formally requesting that new Foreign Minister Fernando Guzman (NCRA) return the nation of @Natal to a Neutral rating. Along with any other nations on such. He finished his remarks saying that the Nationalist led senado will likely not tolerate him making further waves. Especially on welfare, an expansion of which will require a sizeable tax hike on the wealthy. He strongly implies any talks on that will basically be pointless. The senado can formally request the Canciller show up at any time. He is constitutionally required to as an elected official. They can grill him endlessly.
