GLORIOUS LEADER NIKOLAI LENINOV IS DEAD
Tragedy strikes our nation as our Glorious Leader, Marshall Nikolai Leninov, is pronounced dead and leaves a nation in mourning

Ivar - Comrades, sons and daughters of Kadikistan, we must woefully report that today, on the 29th of April 1957, disaster has struck our nation in its very heart as our Glorious Leader Nikolai Leninov, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Kadikistani Communist Workers' Party, Marshall and Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Chairman of the Council of People's Commissariats for War and Head of the War College, Director of the Militsiya and Head of the Leninov Revolutionary Clan has fallen to a short but intense illness. We regret to inform you all that exact information about the conditions of this fatigue remains unknown as the Party is still investigating the exact circumstances of our Glorious Leader's sad demise. General Ivan Tsjekova already publicly announced that his dear friend, the Marshall, had suffered greatly under the pressure of international crises and domestic economic instability due to unpatriotic farmers and demographic decline. According to General Ivan Tsjekova the Glorious Leader was able to handle anything with his brilliance and proletarian feeling, but that his visionary and ideological leadership and willingness far exceeded the restraints that exist on the human body. "Marshall Nikolai Leninov worked tirelessly for our Great Nation, day and night, seven days a week. He has done that ever since he was voted into power by the Central Committee in December 1938. Much to my own regret, by now his age was no longer on his side and he had given most of his physical strength in serving his beloved nation." In this case even the strongest of men, such as our Glorious Leader, are prey to vicious diseases that do not discriminate and serve only to kill its host.

Intelligence that we have just received indicates that the body of the Glorious Leader was found in his highly fortified train wagon, where he was presumed to be busy working on a speech meant for Trovanka sailors and dockers. Upon discovery, a horrible sight it must have been, the train was immediately stopped and turned around, back to the capital. The bodily remains of our Glorious Leader will arrive in Ivar at any time and we have been told that the Ivar Chapter of the Marxist-Leninovist Brigades will arrange for the Marshall to be moved from the East Station to the People's Palace in a glass coffin so that the people of the city can already mourn and say goodbye to their benevolent leader as the MLB will march him through the city. A spokesperson for the People's Palace has already stated that the embalmed remains of the Glorious Leader will remain on display in the People's Palace for the next two weeks, given Kadikistani patriots from all corners of our mighty nation the opportunity to see their Glorious Leader one final time and weep for his departure while remaining strong and ready to fight to defend his grand legacy.

Large groups of people have already amassed on the streets of the capital and even several other major cities, many being military or having someone in the family that is, since evidently the Revolutionary Armed Forces were the first to be informed about this tragedy, to mourn for the death of a people's hero. Representatives of all major Revolutionary Clans have already stated that they will support a week long national mourning, while commencing the discussion within the Central Committee of the Party regarding who is worthy enough to follow in the footsteps of our Glorious Leader. The main candidates at this time appear to be Major General Vassili Leninov, son of the Glorious Leader and People's Commissar for Railways and General Ivan Tsjekova himself, Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars and Chairman of the People's Commissariats for Agriculture, Trade, Fishing and Industry. However we at the International Worker deem the timing to early to begin discussing a predecessor, for now we must stand united in mourning and remembering the greatness of the Glorious Leader. We must stand strong as a people and encourage all true Kadikistani's to show their support for the Marshall by taking to the streets carrying his portrait, the national or the Party flag and showing homage. Find support with each other, through tragedy and death, our mighty nation will prevail.

More updates will follow in a special evening newspaper to be distributed tonight as well as on the National Radio Stations.

Other news from the Central Newspapers of Kadikistan:
  • The numerous accomplishments of the Glorious Leader, before even his appointment as General-Secretary
  • First letters of mourning and moral support coming in from Marxist-Leninovist Parties across the globe
  • "We must keep the fight going! Be it in Cumbria, Milesia, Calidia, Borovanger or even in Kadikistan itself!", People's Commissar for External Affairs Colonel Dimitri Leninov
  • Grand mausoleum to be constructed
  • "Gallian issues are Gallian. We must tend to other things now.", General Bastian Obrjanov

The people of Cumbria mourn the disappearance of the Kadikistani leader that sacrificed so much to help us liberate ourselves from the clutches of the social-capitalist dictatorship that was destroying not only our country and our own cultural fabric, but the whole Gothic Sea region. The nation of Kadikistan has always been a friend of the Cumbrian republicans and the efforts of our great comrade and friend, Nikolai Leninov have shown us the way for a better and peaceful future.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the disappearance of our great friend and colleague and our hearts stand together with the Kadikistani people suffering from the death of one of the greatest politicians of our generation. Sadly, with the war still taking place in Cumbria, President Roman Becker is unable to attend the ceremonies in Ivar, as he commands the last offensives against the corporato-fascist rebels. The Cumbrian people will be represented at the ceremony by the Benadur of Cumbria, Conan Meriadoc and the Cumbrian representatives from the Marxist-Leninovist International.

Signed,
On behalf of the folk

Cumbrian Communist Workers' Party

The Communist Workers' Party of Cumbria deeply mourns the loss of a great comrade, friend and teacher. Nikolai Leninov helped the Party of the Left in it's darkest moments, when it was hunted by the corporato-fascists and social-capitalists of Leena Rees and thought us how to improve the lives of the Cumbrians and liberate ourselves from our right-wing authoritarian past. In the end, Nikolai Leninov was the greatest teacher anyone could have and the Kadikistani people must have been very lucky to have him as a defender of their revolution and as a leader that brought them to new social, political and economic heights.

Sadly, I cannot come to Ivar to pay homage to a great friend I had, but I will send the Deputy Secretary of the Party, Conan Meriadoc, to represent me. The flags of Cumbria will be lowered at half mast in solidarity with the Kadikistani people and their loss and we will declare a week of mourning. The Cumbrian people stand by the Kadikistani people in those tough days and hope that from this sadness, the Kadikistani people will rise like a phoenix and thus continue the work of their late leader.

With deepest respect,
Roman Becker

The People's Republic of Serenierre is shaken by this most distressing and traumatic news. The death of Comrade Leninov is a truly great tragedy for the cause of Revolution. The Generalissimo Serazin has ordered all Serenien flags to fly at half mast and an official declaration of three days of mourning. The People's Republic shall be represented by Madame Elisabeth Martinique, the Chair of the Commissariat of People's Deputies, at the funeral of Comrade Leninov.

INTERNATIONALIST COMMUNIST PARTY OF PELASGIA
ΔHΜΟΣΙΟ ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΘΕΝ - PUBLIC STATEMENT
29/04/1957

It is with a most grave sorrow that the news of Comrade Leninov's death reach are enslaved shores. A true legend of a man, a giant of history and humanity, Comrade Leninov supported the proletariat's cause for freedom whether in Kadikistan or abroad. Comrade Leninov's heroic actions proved to the bourgeoisie of Europe that the workers and peasants of all lands were willing to fight for their freedom and, more importantly, capable of doing so and succeeding in attaining it. The Comrade's victory over the bourgeoisie of Kadikistan sparked a fire of revolutionary zeal and of awakening of class consciousness across the globe, the effects of which have yet to be truly felt, but are sure to be glorious for all of humanity.

Regardless of what the reactionary regime in Propontis might say, we remain adamant in our respect for Comrade Leninov and our mourning for his loss. We wish to attend the ceremonies that are to follow his death through an official representative of ours and plan to hold rallies in his memory in our own country's streets. But, more importantly, we hope that we may honour the great man, visionary and leader that Comrade Nikolai Leninov was by continuing his glorious struggle to free the dispossessed and oppressed workers of Pelasgia and of all of Europe, whatever the means necessary. May the ideas and values of Marxism-Leninovism, inspired and formulated by the great mind of Comrade Leninov, spread across all of Europe and shutter the Proletariat's chains!

Workers of the World Unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains! Comrade Nikolai Leninov lives on!

We are shocked at the death of the greatest man of the Revolution. We mourn with the people of Kadikistan for the loss this great man. The flags will be flown half-mast at the Party Headquarters and all local Party offices. Comrade Nikolai Leninov will be remembered for everything he did for the proletariat of Europe. His spirit will live on, also in the hearts of the Eiffellandian Marxist-Leninovists.

Heinrich Liebknecht, Chairman of the KPE.

Trier, Eiffelland

On behalf of the Ministers and State Secretaries, Parliament and People of Eiffelland, our condolences to family and friends of President Nikolai Leninov, as well as the People of Kadikistan. The flags at the Eiffellandian Embassy and consulates in Kadikistan will be flown half-mast during the period of national mourning. The Eiffellandian Ambassador to Kadikistan will represent the Ministers and State Secretaries, Parliament and People of Eiffelland at the funeral of President Leninov.

OOC: Eiffelland as a nation is by far not a friend of Kadikistan. However, in the case of death, even the enemy has to be respected, at least according to the Eiffellandians. Therefore condolences, and therefore flags being flown half-mast at the Embassy and the consulates.
However, please note that the condolences were not handed out on behalf of the Government. The reason is the following. Despite being a constitutional monarchy, the King is also part of the Government. Because the father of the current Queen of Eiffelland was killed by a.o. the Leninovs, the official condolences are not on behalf of the King or the Royal Family, and with that not on behalf of the Government.
Furthermore, no representative of the Royal Family and no Minister will attend the funeral, and the Ambassador does not attend the funeral on behalf of the Kingdom of Eiffelland. That would be different in the case of heads of state of other countries: Then a member of the Royal Family and either the Chancellor or the Vice-Chancellor would attend the funeral (if the travel could be arranged on time).

MUTINY!
Coupists attempting to take over the nation

Ivar – Comrades, citizens of glorious Kadikistan, we interrupt your daily business to bring you this special report. A great tragedy has stuck our nation again mere days after the death of our Glorius Leader, Marshall Nikolai Leninov, as we have just received word that certain reactionary elements within the military are staging a coup in order to overthrow the People’s Government and our Provisional Leader, Marshall Ivan Tsjekova. While the situation is very chaotic we do know that the revolt is being led by General Ratko Salatić, General Rurik Ljubiša and Admiral Stojan Radordevic while carried by a significant portion of the mutinous lower officers. For now at least eight divisions have seen their loyal leadership removed and swore allegiance to the coupists. Furthermore the garrisons of at least twelve cities, including Naritstok, Sbrevika and Rurikgrad. Reports stated that the army has surrounded the People’s Palace less than 10 minutes ago and that the first clashes between those loyal to the People’s Government and the self-described ‘National Committee for Rejuvenation’ have already broken out on the streets of the capital and a high number of cities. Tsjekova supporting militias have been seen taking to the streets shouting their support for Provisional leader that was burdened with leading the country until the Central Committee of the Party can appoint a new leader. The exact whereabouts of Marshall Tsjekova or his condition is still unknown, but we convinced he will not allow our glorious nation to be overcome.

The exact reasons for this treason remains speculation at this time as no official statement has been released by the leaders of this coup. It is also unclear what will be the fate of the International Worker and other publications from the Central Newspapers of Kadikistan as the sound of gunfire is getting closer and closer to us here in the Ivar media centre headquarters, nor do we know how much longer we will be able to broadcast. All we can hope for at this moment is that our forces and militias will prevent our beloved country from further suffering. People of Kadikistan, today we must....

Official Communique from the Committee for Rejuvination

Sons and daughters of Kadikistan, fellow citizens of this Great Nation

It is not with great joy, but with much determination that we address you on this day to announce the end of the corrupt Clan regime that has made our country weak. My name is Ratko Salatić, General in the proud Revolutionary Army, by my side stand General Rurik Ljubiša and Admiral Stojan Radordevic and many more of our nation's high ranking officers, all true patriots. Our soldiers who have given so much for this nation are on our side as they have always fought for Kadikistan and not the corrupt government which has been allowed to represent it through undemocratic tactics. We want you to know that the steps that we have taken today are necessary and can never be taken back, we will push this through until the end.

Let it be clear that this temporary take-over will not stand in the way of the future and will in fact create a better one for us all. We promise you that we will not replace one corrupt, failed regime for another. Therefore we announce our intention to hold free elections as soon as possible, depending on the amount of resistance we receive from the reactionary clans. These will be the first truly free elections this country has had since the death of Comrade Rurik, father to us all. Divisions formerly loyal to either one of the clans will be given a one-time option to break their ties with the clans and choose the path for the future. We do urge both the people of Kadikistan and the international community to respect and understand our timetable, which we will announce soon, concerning this.

As the new temporary head of state I have ordered an immediate ceasefire between our national forces and the various insurgent groups in the north and on the southern islands. We wish to put an end to the ever growing violence that has paralysed our nation of all fields and return to the peace table. The ceasefire will take in effect on 12.00 PM tonight. All ongoing military operations, mainly in Chernaeya, will be ceased to await the internal peace process. Abroad we will drastically decease our military presence, while remaining committed to our friends and allies such as Gouw Marken, Cumbria and Calidia. It is the opinion of the Committee for Rejuvination that our country cannot maintain far-away engagements such as those in Borovanger and Loago, which serve only to gain weight on the international scene. Such things are only possible with a booming economy, but that is something that the former leadership has neglected to ensure. The Committee and myself also pledge to redraw all Kadikistani forces from Cumbria and all but one division from Calidia by the start of the summer.

To take away any doubt, we are not removing our nations socialist system. The Party will remain the vanguard of the masses, but now more weight will be given to the national and local People’s Assemblies. The economy will be reformed, with room created for private enterprise, not out of capitalist conviction but because our failure to reach the stage of communism is due to the lack of a completely developed industrial economy. The latter being an essential element to allow the construction a truly socialist system. The 14-Years Plan is a relic from the past that has left us with acute shortages. Therefore we will have severe agricultural reforms to revitalize our nation’s farming. Decadent prestige projects and constructions such as the Kadiko-Calidian People’s Bridge of Friendship will be cancelled and the money spend more wisely elsewhere.

As many of you are experiencing first hand our armed forces have surrounded several key positions in the many cities of this country, however rest assure that these measures are taken purely to contain the threat posed by reactionary forces who are still showing hostility. We do not wish to continue the bloodshed which has our country in its grip for so long and thus urge all those sworn to either one of the Clans to lay down your weapons and start negotiating with the local military representatives of the Committee immediately.

Towards the international community and most importantly our allies we wish to make it clear that this not as a setback or even a threat but should rather be seen as an evolution of your ally. Out of this we will create a stronger Kadikistan and for our friends an even stronger ally, economically, militarily and culturally. We hope to continue the Rurikgrad Pact and will continue our investments in Gouw Marken, albeit in a lesser form.

Long live the Military!
Long live the Party!
Long live Kadikistan!

Sincerely yours,
General Ratko Salatić
General Rurik Ljubiša
Admiral Stojan Radordević

Well, that escalated quickly! The Grand Duchy of Nichtstein will monitor the situation closely.

As a precautionary measure, the Grand Duchy issues a travel warning for Nichtsteiner citizens to delay and postpone all non-essential travel to Kadikistan, pending the resolution of the security situation in the country.

National Committee for Justice and the Rejuvenation of Socialism
Provisional Office of the People's Commissariat for External Affairs

The new Central Committee of the Kadikistani Communist Workers' Party extends its most sincere gratitude to the respective governments of Gouw Marken, Serenierre, Cumbria, Calidia and Eiffelland for their condolences after the loss of our Glorious Leader, Marshall Nikolai Leninov. The history books will remember this great man for his visionary leadership and his function as the most successful Kadikistani statesman since Comrade Rurik. But as he was only a man, he was prone to make mistakes along his magnificent career in service of the people. Those mistakes we solemnly pledge to rectify.

Acknowledging the concerns originating from the diplomatics corps of Pelasgia, Eiffelland, Bourgogne and Nichtstein and understanding the need for security within the international district of the Ivar capital region. The National Committee for Rejuvenation and Socialism have dispatched additional units to secure embassies and consulates within the isolated district. While the neighbourhood has been spared from any violence so far and we can say with near certainty that violence will never reach the diplomatic neighbourhoods, leaders from concerned nations can rest assured that the safety of their countrymen is assured.

Signed,
Col. Bojan Cvetković

We thank the National Committee for Justice and the Rejuvenation of Socialism for securing embassies and consulates, thus protecting diplomats of all countries. We will follow the events with interest. Given the current tense situation in Kadikistan, we also issue a travel warning for Kadikistan for the duration of the current situation, and urge all sides in the conflict to solve any outstanding issues at the negotation table.

His Imperial Majesty's Government would like to thank the National Committee for Rejuvination for its swift action to protection foreign legations in Ivar. Despite our sharp opposition to many of the late General Secretary's policies, we too would like to offer our condolences for his death, as we understand the intense feeling of sorrow or grief much of the population of Kadikistan must be experiencing at the moment.

Support for the Clans dwindles as the people embrace the future
Several days after the murder of the Glorious Leader by Ivan Tsjekova stability is gradually returning

It had been five days since the isolationist cowards of the corrupt Tsjekova Clan murdered our Glorious Leader, Marshall Nikolai Leninov. By now several mysteries regarding this tragic loss have been uncovered by the rapid workings of the investigative committee, under direct supervision by the National Committee for Justice and the Rejuvenation of Socialism. The latter has released information stating that the Glorious Leader came to his end by means of mercury poisoning. Investigation has shown that the extremely dangerous mercury was applied to the upholstery of the Marshall's sofa in his private chambers by one of his adjutants who worked for the statesman for over a decade. According to sources within the military a the adjutant was in fact Lieutenant Andrej Vladisktic who was quickly discovered and apprehended along with his immediate family. Vladisktic was trying to leave the Ivar Capital District once he heard about the eradication of the Tsjekova Clan leadership, but was caught by a cautious patrol in the industrial district and is currently awaiting execution for his crimes against Party and State. Vladisktic is believed to have been motivated by promises of wealth and greed, being but a small expendable pawn in the Tsjekovite conspiracy. Sickened by decades of Clan-dominated politics, marked by intrigues, secrecy and unending power-hunger, the people are spontaneously renouncing their respective Clan affiliations and pledging their support for the National Committee and the new government.

"The National Committee for Justice and the Rejuventation of Socialism is the rightful successor of my brother's government"
People's Commissar for External Affairs, Colonel Dimitri Leninov, pledges his support for the provisional People's Government

Still suffering greatly from his personal loss, seeing over half his family butchered by Tsjekovite agents, former People's Commissar for External Affairs, Colonel Dimitri Leninov has pledges his support for the National Committee for Justice and the Rejuvenation of Socialism. It is believed that the respectable Colonel will be able to maintain his foreign affairs mandate, since both friend and foe can not help but recognize his great achievements on the international scene. In doing so the National Committee will ensure the continuity of Kadikistan's great legacy left behind by the Glorious Leader. Meanwhile Colonel Dimitri Leninov has distances himself from his nephew, General Ratko Leninov, who has claimed leadership over the remnants of the once unconquerable Leninov Revolutionary Clan and is believed to be preparing an all out insurgency in the Northren Oblasts. Dimitri Leninov has stressed that he supports the National Committee's decision to do away with the Revolutionary Clan system and that if he is to regain his position in the People's Commissariat for External Affairs, he will do so under mandate of the Central Committee of the Kadikistani Communist Workers' Party in service of the people.

The Yiddish Free State remains concerned by the ongoing situation in Kadikistan, but is encouraged by the friendly and positive noises made by the National Committee for Justice and the Rejuvenation of Socialism. We hope to build on the progress made under the leadership of Marshal Nikolai Leninov, and pursue a policy of friendship between our two countries.

ULTIMATUM ISSUED
Kadikistan responds to Burgundian imperialism in Nova Srbja by mobilizing the Western Direction of the Revolutionary Armed Forces
"Once the first Burgundian or Trivodnian soldier sets foot in Nova Srbja, we will set foot in Trivodnia"

Burgundian seizure of Nova Srbjan airspace is an act of imperialist aggression! The Chagny elite's has driven the world on the edge of total war once again with their unilateral declaration 'to enforce aerial security over Novo Srbja', which is no more than the next step in their ploy for hegemony over our Western Slavic brothers and sisters in the small war-torn country. That hegemony being something that the Federal Government of Nova Srbja, controlled by the Vlahovic Clique, desperately pleads for in order to cling to the remaining power they posses, loosing all legitimacy and credibility as an independent government in the process. As all Kadikistani's know since all of them have received military education and training for at least two years, the first ones of the 'three-year military service' only now graduating, air superiority is vital in determining the outcome of any armed conflict. Thus by doing so the Burgundian authorities are manipulating the tragic Srb conflict in their favour, with the sole purpose of enlarging their power and gaining a significant foothold on the Germanian continent at the expense of our fellow Slavs. This is something that we, as both Kadikistani patriots and internationalist communists, can not accept as we remain committed to the Srbjan people and our comrades in Istokgrad. The latter waging a courageous war of resistance against the fascists in Novosad, but also facing increased aggression by the 'Federal' regime, no doubt under pressure by external forces such as Bourgogne and Trivodnia. The latter also taking increasingly provocative, openly anti-Kadikistani stances and purchasing massive amounts of military equipment from their Burgundian masters.

Recognizing and understanding the latest move announced by the Burgundian authorities, which closely followed a number of other provocations such as the increase in military budget by no less than 8% and the disappearance of several members of our comrades from the Party of Candles, the Burgundian section of the International Association of Marxist-Leninovist Parties, General Secretary Ratko Salatic has announced the mobilization of the entire Western Direction of the Revolutionary Armed Forces while also issuing an ultimatum to the power-hungry Burgundian regime. The ultimatum states that Bourgogne must withdraw from their plans on conquering the Srbjan airspace, like they have so viciously in Milesia, by the 10th of July 1957. General Secretary of the Party, General Ratko Salatic, said it best during an improvised speech given to a mass of over 50,000 Kadikistani's that had rallied in front of the People's Palace in Ivar after hearing of the Burgundian plans through the news. "The Chagny elite and their Trivodnian lackeys believe that we are weak. They believe that the successful eradication of the reactionary elements within the Party, such as the Tsjekovites and the Burukovites, have diverted our attention from the West. They considered our withdrawal from Borovanger a military necessity, while that was nothing more than giving the Red League and the Workers' Republic of Borovanger full independence in their struggle against fascism and social-capitalism. But they will learn, the violent way if needed, that Kadikistan is still strong. Should they continue their interference in Nova Srbjan internal affairs, we will show them that Kadikistan can still mobilize! The divisions caused by the clans has been dealt with and we stand united here, stronger than ever!", Salatic said before spontanious cheers followed by wide-spread combativeness and enthousiasm emerged from the carefully listening crowd, waving both Kadikistani and Party flags.

After about five minutes of relentless cheering and chanting, Salatic continued to show himself as a brilliant speaker, "This is a clear warning for both Chagny and Amstov. For every capitalist soldier that is deployed, we will deploy hundreds. If necessary we will punch through these so-called 'Free States', and ensure the end of all Burgundian interference in our region. If the Burgo-Trivodnian Axis continues on their interventionist path, our hands will be tied and we must be ready for total war! For every Burgundian plane that violates Srbjan airspace we will send dozens more! If even a single Trivodnian or Burgundian soldier sets foot in sovereign Srbjan soil, we will set foot in Trivodnia!", Salatic orated with ever louder shouts and chants of support coming from the crowd before him. But before waving to the people of Ivar and returning from his tribune to the inside of the People's Palace the Party leader formally and calmly stated, "The imperialists have until the Tenth of this month, unless they foolishly provoke us before that. No peace summit, no bourgeois conference, the deadline is all there is."

For strategic purposed it will not be revealed exactly how much divisions are involved in this gigantic mobilization, nor the location of the most major troop movements, but needless to say it is expected that a large portion of it will be along both the Trivodnian and the Ruthenia-Galician border. Much movement was also reported in both Rurikgrad and Klinsk, homes of the Western-based Gothic Revolutionary Fleet and the southern Kalahari Revolutionary Fleet. Now more than ever must we stand ready as the New Order will demonstrate our strength to the world. Similar gatherings in support of the National Committee for Justice and the Rejuvenation of Socialism occurred spontaneously in nearly every city across the land.

Other headlines from the renewed Central Newspapers of Kadikistan:
  • Chief Party ideologues coin the term 'Ultra-Militarized Socialism' to describe the national doctrine
  • Negotiations initiated with the remnants of the reactionary Splinter Cult, the National Committee offering one last chance of full amnesty for those bound by honour to fight for Ratko Leninov
  • Positive effects on the economy already showing a mere two weeks after the 9th Party Congress
  • Largest International Economic Zone to be created around the Western Basin
  • People's Tribunals concluded sentencing for the members of the Tsjekovite 13th Mechanized Division, high commanders and several dozen lower officers and soldiers sentenced to death while 97% of the forces were offered amnesty in exchange for a lifetime service in the specialized Pravda Divisions
  • Deconstruction of the megalomanic 'People's Bridge of Friendship' between Rurikgrad and Rakvere to be used to modernize some of the older districts in Rurikgrad and dated infrastructure

Public Statement

8th of June, 1957
To whom it may concern,

His Imperial Majesty's Government is most distraught at the words and deeds of the Kadikistani regime. Let it be known that the Burgundian Government is acting in a fully legal and legitimate fashion, with the approval of the sole legitimate authority in Nova Srbja, the Federal Government of President Vlahovic. While Kadikistan might think itself free to rip apart international and national law and to ignore all European diplomatic conventions, the armed thugs it supports, currently operating to undermine a free and democratic country from within, lack any and all claims to legitimacy.

Adding oil to an already burning fire, Kadikistan has conducted itself in a most aggressive and irresponsible fashion, styling itself a "hyper-militarist" regime shamelessly. Thus, it has openly declared a massive mobilisation of troops and issued an ultimatum, clearly paving the way for a path to international war. In the past, Kadikistan bullying and grandstanding was enough to coerce other nations into submission, but this end has to stop and it shall stop now. Let it, then, be known that the Pelasgian Empire and its full military might shall stand behind the Grand Duchy of Bourgogne in case of war. Furthermore, Kadikistan's militarisation of the Kalahari Sea through a mobilisation of its southern fleet with clear hostile and aggressive intent is a perfidious violation of the Status Quo Treaty; should Kadikistan fail to deescalate in the Kalahari immediately, a mobilisation on the Empire's part can and should be expected.

Signed and Sealed,
