The Commonwealth and all her assorted territories in Coronado and Ferèzanno will put forth the name of the city of Vittorio for the Olympic committee as the proposed host city for the Winter Olympic games of 2010. Vittorio is a large city of nearly three million inhabitants, almost five million within it's entire metropolitan area, located in the north-eastern segment of the Coronado constituent prefecture of the Commonwealth, at the base of the Castalda Monta, the largest mountain chain within the Commonwealth. Owing to the elevation, the temperature is within adequate grounds for annual snows, which are not in any way uncommon during the time of year in which the Olympics are slated to take place.

Vittorio houses two airports, one of them in international service - both sufficiently capable of receiving and allowing a sizeable quantity of aeroplane's to land or take off at any time. The city has a sprawling public transportation system, primarily bus lines, with the planned subway line only extending so far through a great deal of the downtown city district. It is also notable to note that Vittorio is the site of numerous Commonwealth national sports tournaments, as as such has suitable facilities as those required for playing those activities as will be featured within the Olympics of 2010. On a related note, the Vittorio Music Festival will be held a week before that - more incentive for tourists who are interested in the great culture of the Commonwealth, with artists such as , and Nesta Marlèe promising to contribute.

We will follow the observing carefully, and all transport permits will be under 'seniority' status until bureau restrictions are lifted following conclusion of festivities. Otherwise an appeal towards the restraints at large may be filed at the Bureau of Travel and Trade.

Sincerely yours,
Benito M. Nadanèz,
Minister of the Exterior

I decided to take the time to address the Olympic committee myself. The city that I am putting up for bid to host the Olympic Games is Valencia. Valencia is the third largest city in Coruña and home to the largest display of culture the nation has to offer. Valencia is home to 1.2 million Coruñans.

The city’s air is of good quality, it has actually won awards for its air. The city isn’t cluttered, so a feeling of claustrophobia that is present in other cities doesn’t exist in Valencia. Valencia has hosted several national tournaments in its past, so some facilities are suitable for the Olympic Games. Crime in Valencia is very low, another good quality of the city. Coruña does have the economic resources to build new facilities and maintain them throughout the Games. Valencia has one international airport that is more than capable of handling the burden of incoming planes for the Games.

The Local Government and people are very pleased at the possibility of the Olympic Games being held in Valencia. It is our hope that Valencia is chosen as the host city because we find it to be a good way to show both Coruña to the world and the world to Coruña. We thank you for the consideration in advance.

With Regards,
Carme Chacón
President of Coruña

In coordination with the local Worker Councils of the city of Koper, we would like to nominate said city as host of the Olympic Winter Games in 2010. Albeit not a major city, Kopers location near the Haemian mountain range and centrally within Carentania makes the city of 750.000 a perfect location for the Winter Olympics in our eyes.

Koper is traditionally a copper mining and electronic manufacturing city, but the calm northern edge of the town, where the planned location of all facilities is, features none of the business, loud noise or dirt commonly associated with these industrial centers. In fact, Koper is surrounded by tranquile woods and harmonic nature, which will, by the time of the Olympics, be covered in a blanket of snow. The natural treasures of the Haemian will provide an extraordinary and unique environment for the games.

Within the short time to the start of the Olympics, Carentania will construct a planned village for the athlets. Designed in the almost traditional "Proletarian Functionalism" that dominates Carentanian architecture, we will use interchangeable elements to erect functional, yet comfortable and beautiful buildings to host Carentanias guests from all over the world. Complete apartments will be provided to the athletic teams of each nation, with the 6 story tall apartement buildings being surrounded by extensive parks. The Olympic Village will be connected to the extraordinarily efficient and well developed public transit system through a Suburban Rail Station. Bright glass facades will dominate the architecture, while artists from all over Carentania will decorate the blank concrete walls with paintings depicting the Olympic spirit.

To accomodate the many visitors of the games, hotel rooms for 25.000 people will be created in Koper alone. The city itself is within 60 minutes reach of the capital of Rijeka, a multi-million people metropolis with a multicultural and bohemian flair, featuring an international airport where visitors and athletes will arrive, as well as enough room to host additional guests. Furthermore, the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs will be issuing specialized Olympic Visitor Visas at a reduced price. These Visas will open the game for more people and allow them to experience the spirit of the Olympic Games regardless of wealth or status.

Carentania itself is an unusual, but pleasant place for a visit. Though the price for a Visa may at first seem unreasonable, the wonders of a non-monetary economy mean that a visa is also an all-incluse travel booking. Within the validity period of the visa, visitors to Carentania can stay freely at any hotel, eat at any place and consume goods of daily use without having to bother with financial transactions. Furthermore, public transit systems are openly accesible to anyone, meaning that the 60 minutes distance between Koper and Rijeka lose all importance - the high-speed rail track is accesible free of charge as well, naturally.

Carentania is a safe and clean place to stay and our peaceful and hospitable citizens await the Olympic Games. A rich cultural tradition awaits the foreign guests, as well as an uncomplicated and unbeuraucratic daily life. Clean air and water, high quality of food and drinks as well as a low amount of individual traffic, contributing to the generall quiet, tidieness and calm of the environment, are another plus point of Koper as destination for the Olympic Winter Games 2010.

Chagny would present an excellent venue.

Sault Ste. Marie is Marquette's largest city with around 11 Million inhabitants in the greater metropolitan area. 45 minutes (by car) to the northwest is a smaller city- Chagny. Chagny has a population of 235,000 and lays in the shadows of the Blanc mountain range. Chagny has the advantage of being near a major metropolitan city without the cluster. Public transport is well above average and though the Chagny may not have the necessary hotel capacity (depending on attendance), Sault Ste. Marie certainly does. If selected, we plan to build an Olympic village that uses green technologies complete with apartments and shops. Chagny is already equipped with many sports facitilities as it is the home to Northern Marquette University

Chagny-
Chagny is a slightly more traditional city which is dominated by middle class residents. Few buildings are over 8 stories high in order to appear more traditional. Most of the working population commutes to the city on the highly efficient R and V rail lines which run between Sault Ste. Marie and Chagny.

Sault Ste. Marie- Sault Ste. Marie is a fast paced, modern city. Almost 7 million live within city limits. It is home to several world class museums and 13 professional sports teams (2 hockey, 2 football, 2 rugby, 2 basketball, 1 baseball,3 lacrosse and Marquette's only cricket team) . Sault Ste. Marie is an international city and is serviced by Marquette's largest airport.

The Most Serene Commonwealth and all her assorted territories in Coronado and Ferezanno will have to withdraw from the Winter Olympic venue bidding, with the recent military conflict presenting Vittorio to be far too dangerous a site for the sporting event.

The Olympic Committee is deeply saddened by the news of war but hopes that your nation may still provide athletes to the games.
