His Holiness would have done well to learn about Justosia. However even such an education wouldn't reveal that the hottest head in the kingdom wasn't the king. It was him. Young, highly opinionated, & the kind of Catholic that drank to excess & bedded constantly. The palace has had to cover up multiple domestic disputes, bar fights, etc.

The Holy Father sat in his private chapel. Up at the altar was a monstrance containing the Holy Eucharist. A couple of monks were chanting something as they adored the Lord.
Watch over Julian, Holy Mother. Why come all the way here if he is not actually a Catholic? He could have just torn up the letter and have been done with it. Does he think he is going to overthrow their king and convert all of Justosia? His soul, in a state of mortal sin, is in no condition for such a thing.
