The Ministry of Defence building, known as the Abbattista Complex, had 12 stories. Two of which were underground. The Abbattista Complex was in the heart of Ashkalon, the capital of Ascalon. The building generously used windows, all of which were heavily tinted. From the outside the building looked intimidating and mysterious. The inside was not much friendlier.

Several leaders of the military's of the SEDN were meeting here. The sole purpose of this meeting was to come up with a uniformic set of weapons, tanks, aircraft, etc to be used by the SEDF. The meeting room had one large oval table, with chairs all around it. The lighting was dim, and there was only one door out of the room. The door was guarded by four Ascaloni soldiers.

Brigadier General Amadio is going to represent the Ascaloni portion of the SEDF. Brig. General Amadio's family had a history of military service, and Amadio joined up when he was 18. Now he is 47, and one of the highest ranking officials in the Ascaloni Military. He has dark eyes and dark hair, like every other Italian in Ascalon. He is a devout Catholic, which might have explained why he beat that Jewish officer at getting the job.

"Welcome gentlemen. Now I was hoping we could skip the pleasantries and get right to the point. We need for us to all use the same weapons and artillery within the SEDN. Otherwise we will never be as strong as alliances such as the EDF. I will allow you all to make your suggestions first, and I am sure you all have some interesting ones, so lets get started."

OOC: You know what? I'll just post the weapons I think we should have in the economy forum section, and you guys can PM me to add/remove things from it. I think that a whole role play thread for it will be a little hard to keep up with. The name of the topic will be SEDN Arms Systems.

Shakil Isma'il was the last minute choice to attend this meeting when Nadarejshvili was quickly reassigned to the Belmont-SEEDT Summit. Congress' Foreign Policy Subcommittee was swamped in mountains and rivers of documents, the delays and confusions coming out of that establishment was depressing.

Isma'il was convinced that Khayrat booted him to Ascalon in this meeting because Isma'il was the most vocal member of the Shura Congress' minority whip. Regardless, the former President now had a meeting to attend.

"First off, I'd like to ask why we are trying to militarily compete with the EDF"

"We are not trying to be militarily competitive with the EDF. We are merely using them as a model to make ourselves a strong defensive force within the alliance."
