Official Application to the Council of the North / 13th June 2019
On behalf of the Government of the United Salian States, the Foreign Office officially submits a membership application to join the Council of the North. As we currently meet the Treaty's Standards and Criteria, we therefore believe the screening process and following negotiations may be initiated swiftly.
For the past three years the United Salian States have made the necessary alterations, with the support of neighbouring Gunnland, to comply with current Council legislation; and maintain a stable democracy that respects human rights and the rule of law; a functioning market economy; and the further acceptance of the obligations of membership.
It is in the best interest of both the United Salian States and the Council of the North to strengthen our bonds with this accession.
