Subject: Closer ties and the status of the Kalahari

To the concern of His Excellency, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Empire of Suzhou ( Huaxia ),

Your Excellency,

I have been instructed by His Imperial Majesty's government to inform you of the wish of His Excellency, the Prime Minister, to meet with His Excellency, the Grand Secretary, so as to discuss the ties between our two realms. More specifically, the topic of strengthening trade bonds across the Kalahari, aiding in Suzhou's modernisation and discussing the status of the endangered Status Quo Treaty and ways to maintain peace in the region, to protect international shipping, are of primary concern.

Moreover, the Empire wishes to maintain the peace and prosperity which has so far dominated both of our regions, hoping to prevent the spread of conflict and instability that currently plagues Gallo-Germania, Scania and much of the West in general. The Empire understands that as a fellow ancient civilisation, and an Empire at that, Suzhou could act a contributing factor to global peace and stability, were it modernised to such a degree that it would be able to stand its own on the global stage. The Empire would be more than willing to part-take in such a development of Suzhou, while respecting the local traditions, as has been done in Pelasgia in our own, rather recent past.

In conclusion, it is understandable if a meeting between our two Heads of Government might be inconvenient, as the are both rather busy men, in which case a meeting between any two officials with appropriate rank and negotiating power could take its stead. I eagerly await Your Excellency's response and extend His Imperial Majesty's warmest wishes to His Highness, Prince Tzurao, for His Highness's recent birthday.

Yours Sincerely,

Ikaros Kōnstantinou Dragasēs

Imperial Minister of Foreign Affairs, Patrician Nobelissimus & Authente (Lord) of Myzēthras
Pelasgian Empire
