Occitania joins the Trier Concord

This week, His Majesty Julius Faure has affirmed the Kingdom of Occitania's interests and the Kingdom of Occitania has entered into an alliance with the Grand Duchy of Retalia and the Kingdom of Eiffelland among others. His Majesty's desire to co-operate with Villesen still stands despite the newly established alliance with the Grand Duchy of Retalia.

In Flonice, communist protests have broken out over the matter of construction of the Flonice-Windlust bridge. According to the guarda mestre of Flonice, Blai Raviro, militant communists assaulted several workers and guards. The perpetrators of these attacks have been fined and deported.

The République Populaire has taken note of the recent developments in Marsilia. From the outset we inform our counterparts in Occitania that the Villesen Government would view the presence of Eiffellander or Retalian or any other non Gallian military force in Occitania to be valid grounds for the République Populaire to unilaterally withdraw from the bilateral treaty existing between Occitania and Serenierre.

Whilst the Grand Duchy of Retalia raises a difference and opposition to the way Villesen blackmails her neighbours, we can state that there are no plans to move Retalian armed forces into Occitania.

We are certain that Villesen shall find reasonable that as long as there shall be an abscence of threats to Occitania, then there shall be an abscence of response to such threats, for it is the former that entails the latter. And guaranteeing the abscence of such threats is where Villesen should be directing her energies to.

Occitania is Insulted

What were friendly neighbors to our North have taken an aggressive stance against our realm. The Republic of Serenierre has broken our Treaty of Good Neighborliness despite His Majesty Rex Mercator Julius Faure's affirmation of friendship with the Republic of Serenierre. After Occitania was called such descriptors as "nefarious" and "reactionary", Guards in Flonice have accused the Republic of Serenierre of funding militant communists in Occitania. Although the guarda mestre of Flonice maintains that there is no firm evidence that it is the case.

Despite the Republic of Serenierre's dangerous decision, His Majesty continues to insist that the former Treaty of Good Neighborliness did not have to be broken.

SERENIERRE DECLARES WAR

Dangerous tidings today as the Republic of Serenierre declares war on the Kingdom of Occitania. His Majesty Julius Faure gave a speech following the declaration. "It is expected that Occitans will do their duty to stop the tyrannical foe to the North, whatever the cost in steel, blood or sweat."

Partial mobilization has been upgraded to full scale general mobilization following the declaration of war by the Republic of Serenierre.

Rioting in The External Territories

Since the declaration of war, communist protests have been occurring in the Occitan external territories. Recently, the issue escalated when a prison riot in Sant Hugo got out of hand and communist thugs left the prison in ruins. Around 300 people were recaptured, killed or escaped. The known ring leaders have been arrested and will face trial in a few days.

Communist Leaders Sentenced to Death

After the Sant Hugo prison riots, 15 prominent communists have been tried of conspiring against the Occitan external territorial government of Brecosta. These ringleaders including the chief executive officer of Powang Finance, Nèstor Ferran have all been found guilty and have been sentenced to death by electric chair.

Following the sentencing the Riton ghetto of Sant Hugo has turned to anarchy. The Guarda Mèstre of Sant Hugo has stated that following multiple co-ordinated attacks on the guards, they had no other choice, but to defend themselves. At-least 31 people were wounded and 9 killed in the riots, including 5 officers.

Government of Occitan External Territories Statement on The Accusations of The Government of Serenierre

It should be made clear that the communist ringleaders were executed completely lawfully and through due process. They had been found to be guilty of conspiring to overthrow the government of the Occitan external territories, the only punishment for such an action is death.
