To the attention of and only for the eyes of the Honourable Ambassador.
Honourable Master Ambassador,
I am writing to you in a most discreet manner with the hope of mending the ties between our two lands. It is no secret to either one of us that the Crown has assumed dictatorial power in this country; it is also no secret that the Crown is on the verge of defeat. Whereas the Republic's armies are converging on Hierosolyma, your troops remain in that area, virtually surrounded and outgunned. However, I am not writing to mock you.
You see, our two countries have long enjoyed ties of amity and friendship, and the Senate as well as the Emperor has no wish to see these ties broken. It is our understanding that the primary strategic concern of Eiffelland in the Pelasgian Civil War is that of the supply of oil and war materiel from our country to yours for the Great War as well as for peacetime. I would therefore be glad to tell you that I have been informed by the Standing Committee of the Senate for External Affairs that the Senate would be more than happy to continue those shipments without any interruption, provided the withdrawal of Eiffellandian troops from Pelasgia, and the restoration of full diplomatic relations between your country and whatever regime might emerge in ours following the end of the war.
I have also been authorised to give absolute assurances for the protection of the persons, interests and property of Eiffellandian individuals and companies in our country, a fact which would much alleviate the tensions in Hierosolyma and beyond, and would certainly be a major propaganda victory for your government at home. While I understand that you might be still bound to allied and familial loyalty to the Emperor, through your Royal Family, I can tell you that our government does plan to negotiate a fair settlement for the end of the war in the coming days with the Crown. All that I ask is that we come to an understanding for the future of our relations after the war, and that Eiffelland not inhibit any such deal, along with a complete withdrawal following the war's end. If your government is willing to agree, we can have the Eiffellandian troops shipped home via the Copper Sea, or any other port of your choice, within a couple of days.
