To the Federal Republic of Geotri, The United Kingdom of Lauenburg wishes to invite representatives from the Federal Republic of Geotri to it's capital Wilhelmsstadt to speak about improving the relations between our two nations and the possibility of defence ties. At the meeting shall be myself and potentially the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Mr. Wolfgang J. Arnaut. We hope you will accept and come to visit our humble Kingdom.

[FONT=&quot]To the United Kingdom of Lauenburg[/FONT][FONT=&quot],[/FONT] The Federal Republic of Geotri accepts this invitation to travel to Wilhelmsstadt, I shall be attending this meeting along with our Minister of Defense Johan Waldstein. We hope the ties, be them diplomatic or for the defense of our two nations, grow with this meeting and any meetings thereafter.

The Lauenburgish Prime Minsiter, Wolfgang J. Arnaut, and the Foreign Affairs Minister, Thomas K. Eldritch, stood on the tarmac as the Geotrian plane came in. "I hope that his goes well" Thomas whispered to the Prime Minister. "I do too" he replied. As the Geotrian diplomats got off the plane they were lead to a sedan which then drove them to a helicopter in which they would travel to the place the meeting would be held, The Blau Haus which was on the outskirts of St. Wilhelmsstadt.

The flight to Lauenburg was a short one, but will be an important one for the two neighboring states. With the Foreign Minister, Aaron Schoenherr, and the Minister of Defense, Johan Waldstein, discussing what should be discussed at this meeting. "We are neighboring states, it would be a smart idea to form some sort of military alliance." "As much as I agree with you we should focus more on trade, it's become the focus of the President. Wouldn't hurt to please him, especially if he gets reelected."

They continued to talk while walking to the sedan, the ride to The Blau Haus was a pleasant one full of small talk. Nothing important was talked about on the ride there, all the fun was to be had inside.

Once they arrived the Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister led the Geotrians inside. They took them to the back room which overlooked a garden. 4 seats had been prepared and on a coffee table in the centre there was 4 cups which would be filled by the servants during the meeting. "Please do sit" said Wolfgang. After his guests had took a seat he himself took a seat. "So, is there anything specifically you wish to talk about. If so then please do tell me."

"Yes, one thing specifically that I had in mind. With how quickly everything is escalating on the world stage I think that some sort of defensive alliance would be in both of our best interests," Waldstein replied. Then Schoenherr added on "Also we would be interested in trading and other economic activities between our two nations."

"Hmm. A defensive pact would be useful to us but we would like to know what that would entail and what we would do together to show our strength. As for economics perhaps we could build a new part of one of our largest ports in Gottenhaffen which could be used exclusively by Geotrian companies. Perhaps also make it easier for Geotrian goods to enter our countries with lower import taxes."

Waldstein beat his companion to the punch, "I would propose that we would aide each other in times of war, whether we be the defender or the aggressor. Training exercises between our forces, and possibly bases, to serve as a fast action defense force to assist either country if it is invaded."

Schoenherr was cut of before he could speak but once his counterpart had his time in the spotlight he added, "Perhaps we could add additions to our ports, it would take time but would be worth the investment. I would also agree to reducing tariffs between our two nations as to promote trade."

Wolfgang decided to let Thomas take the lead on this one. "Yes certainly. I don't believe bases would be necessary due to the proximity of our respective nations however perhaps we could allow usage of our ports, etc. for one another's naval vessels" he said smiling.

"As for the economic part I believe we have both reached an agreement on this part and close the discussion regarding this unless you have anything else to add. Perhaps everything could be grouped into one agreement under the Lauenburg-Geotri Cooperation pact."

"True, we are close enough to were bases shouldn't be needed, and that would be a smart thing especially if you have ships returning from Himyar. They could stop in Geotrian ports before the reach home, but I also have a question to ask you, do you feel that Kadikistan should have land that rightly belongs to you? Perhaps it is time to retake land that rightfully belongs to you instead of leaving it to the Monster of the North." Waldstein was one of the many seeing eye to eye with the views of the presidential candidate Adolf Schmied, while his companion strongly dislikes Schmied.

"I believe that it would be splendid idea to have the points we have agreed on under such a pact, and I believe my colleague here would agree with me on that." Replied Schoenherr.

"Yes it does concern us that our former coalition partner took such actions which were unwanted by much of the parliament and people. But some day Lauenburg will take back what's hers and she will show the Kadiki's who's boss" he said triumphantly. "Now, would you like to join me in the dining room for some lunch?" he said politely.

Waldstein was visibly pleased with how Thomas reacted to that statement, "We would be delighted to join you for lunch."

They were lead in to the next room where the table had been set up. They were invited to take a seat before being served with their dishes. "So, what is all this I've been hearing about the fascists in your nation?" he said.

"Well quite simply put they are a new and emerging political party within Geotri, they promise to bring back economic prosperity to all and to continue to provide security to Geotrians," replied Waldstein.

"Oh I see. It does seem quite troubling but I hope that if they do come to power, which I doubt they will, they will try to at least act civil in the international stage but hey, what do I know" he said. Then some waiters came in and delivered the meal. Not long after the chef came in and wished for them to enjoy their meal before returning back to his domain in the kitchen.

"Well, at the current rate of how many of the polls are going it may be a possibility that they may win. I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Schmeid, he doesn't wish to start any international conflicts but if it comes down to it he will ensure that we emerge victorious," Waldstein said.

"However I don't think he would be the best choice, but if he wins he wins," Schoenherr chimed in while the waiters delivered their meals.

Both the men thanked the chef for preparing a delicious meal, and started eating.

"Well I suppose these things are all a matter of fate. I suppose here in Lauenburg we're lucky the Far-right has not risen but we must always be on the lookout for the far-left to ensure they do not try to destroy the society we have" he said. He then began to eat his meal rather delicately as if to show of his manners.

"This is true, but it is all a part of human nature. Being able to think independently and express themselves however they feel is vital to being an individual and to having a free country. Neither side is right nor wrong," Schoenherr retorted.

They continued eating food and calmly talking about the events occurring within both nations. Soon dinner ended and it was time for the Geotrian party to return home and bring word of the good news of the new pact between the two nations. Upon returning home a short few months later the government was taken over by fascists, Schoenherr was removed from his position and replaced while his counterpart Waldstein remained in his office as he was a supporter of the newly appointed Chancellor Schmeid.
