To the attention of His Excellency Sebastokrator Adamantios Ioannou Papandreou of the Holy Empire of @Aresura and His Excellency Sebastokrator Fotios Samaras of the Sublime Cyrenian State.

Your Excellencies,

On behalf of the Carian People, I extend to you my most heartfelt wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the Birth of Our Saviour bless your Nations and bring joy and salvation to you.

As recent proclamations from all of our respective governments have made patent for all to see, there is both a need and a willingness for greater rapproachment and detente between the inheritors of Anaxander's Empire: the Pelasgians. We each lay a separate claim to the common heritage of the greatest man to have ever lived, and of the great family of nations that his conquests birthed; and yet, we also share bonds that cannot be broken--blood, tongue, and tradition. "Blood cannot become water," as the common saying in all our languages goes.

For these reasons, I invite you both to Caria, for a joint summit between our Nations. I understand that there are some differences between Aresura and @Cyrene, and that Caria is perhaps more distant from the other two Pelasgian Nations, both culturally and politically. Yet, I am confident that we can set those differences aside to work toward our common good, without necessarily forgetting them or minimizing them. Let us labour on those things that we can improve, without focusing on the wounds that we cannot (at least for now) mend. As Caria is the common ancestral home of all Pelasgians (and, indeed, of Anaxander), I can think of no better place for us to meet than the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Pierrhea and the hometown of Anaxander the Conqueror: Nikaia. Since Nikaia is my own home city and the spiritual centre of all Orthodox Carians, I would be glad to welcome you there, according to our own shared rights of ancient hospitality--philoxenia.

If this forum is amenable to you, we can meet there to discuss a whole host of issues of joint concern: economic cooperation, diplomatic cooperation, easier travel and trade, academic and research coordination, and, perhaps, even some degree of greater international political and regional integration. Pelasgia is our common home, and it is my sincere and distinct hope that it can become a home bettered by the cooperation of its brother occupants, rather than demolished by their disunity. "Strength lies in unity," quoth Homer.

On behalf of His Majesty, Basileus Iōséph XV Anaxandros-Konstantinos, and of His Excellency, Sebastokrator Adamantios Ioannou Papandreou, we reciprocate our good tidings to you, and prayers that the Carian people have had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year. May the Savior bring joy, peace, and unity to the sons and daughters of the Conqueror.

It is with this third blessing from the Son of God in mind that compels us to agree with Your Excellency's assessment despite touching upon the very real challenges: our lands and peoples are separated by strife and profound disagreements over claims, with varying degrees of righteousness, to the legacy of Anaxander the Conqueror, but we are united in being his sons and daughters, fruits of his labors to unite the Pelasgian people. He truly embodied the wisdom of that great Carian Philosopher-Strategos, Pericles, who observed "What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others."

Despite our reservations over what can be accomplished in the short-term, and our belief that Anaxandroupolis, the city which Anaxander erected, ruled wisely over all the Pelasgians, and was spirited to heaven too soon, would have been another excellent choice to host this momentous meeting, with an eye fixated on the long-term I have been authorized by His Excellency, Sebastokrator Papandreou, to accept your generous offer to host a Pelasgian conference in the Holy City of Nikaia, the Conqueror's birthplace and cradle of his Dream. We cannot turn his Dream into a nightmare through petty bickering and quarreling, and we are committed to doing our utmost to preserve his legacy from malevolent forces from without and within.

We pray that the proposed topics bring us steps closer to bringing him joy from his place in heaven, and look forward to this summit.

Your Excellencies,

The Sublime Cyrenian State, as much as it is painted in the darkest of colours so as to create disharmony within the Pelasgian family, is still very much magnanimous in its openness towards cooperation with the Pelasgian nations. We will happily cooperate with the authorities of the Carian Confederacy and we will be open towards reconciliation with the Holy Aresuran Empire at the summit in Nikaia.

While we will still keep our concerns regarding the great chances this summit has to bury centuries of martyrdom, we will always keep the interests of our people in mind and we will do our best to recreate the glories of the Anaxandrian Empire, be it in a metaphoric yet modern creation where we bring all Pelasgians together.

We will thus send a delegation to Nikaia.
