This post here is to show decisions which I have reached during my time as Delegate of Europe. If I feel that a decision was made which also requires justification, that justification is posted here and available to members of Europe.

  • 2015 September 27 — Lolz Spammer was banned from the region as the nation did nothing but spam up regional message boards in multiple regions.
  • 2015 September 13 — Belivonia was unbanned from the region as the nation did nothing wrong to warrant banning other than express strong political views on the nature of Europe.
  • 2015 December 19 — Arualean and North Arualean were sent on an all-expenses-paid trip to the Rejected Realms for spamming our regional message board with offensive flamebaiting posts. The Rejected Realms authorities were informed of who they were dealing with, as a member of the region 'Unified Coalition of Nations' sent a message to us.

The delegate can ban nations? Has this always been the case? What else can the delegate do? Shouldn't that kind of power be exclusive to the founder?
The delegate is for WA-business...and solely that.

FYI: I don't mind the particular ban.

Just to play devil's advocate, Is Eurofounder active enough to keep an eye on the Europe RMB? Also I remember Alsted and Jenesia banning plenty of people before.

If you remember the forrestfiremania drama from a year and a half back Alsted had to ban like 4 or 5 different sockpuppets.

I would argue, not really, since if he were, then I believe that I would not have executive power. However it is, the ability of the Delegate to take executive action is integral to the security of the region.

No surprise here: I would rather that be the role of the founder, albeit a more active one. Any power in the hands of the delegate, that as far as I see it only represents WA-members of the region and not all nations in the region, makes any region more vulnerable to outside meddling and other foolishness that could hurt everyone.
I think I've already made my surprise and disbelieve on this matter clear, I concede that so far Europe has had no problem that I was aware of(and I visit it daily at least). But is that because the Delegate has the power to ban (...and more??)? I wonder....

In dealing with issues of justice in the context of the RMB, I believe the only morally acceptable way to implement justice with priority to all sides in a grievance is to take a three-strikes approach using personal and external influence. Here, it offers a chance for reform without publicly stating this so that public appearances and personal honour or pride do not interfere. Most importantly, however, just as in real justice systems, reform should be the goal, not punishment in of itself. Thus,

If a person does a disruptive action, I will send a warning telegram. If that action occurs again, I will then send a second warning in the medium where that action occurred. Should it occur again, I will take actions using executive powers.

This may change if telegram warnings prove entirely ineffective.

In cases where puppets are created to skirt around bans, actions will be taken immediately to clear up problems. All such bans will be noted on the original post so that future delegates will understand the context and the reasons for any decisions reached. In variaetate concordia.
