UGWU rejects deal, rumoured that unions in Ulster are in talks to vote on a possible general strike
AP Moira

We can confirm that the UGWU have walked out within less of hour into the meeting between the Union's General Secretary and Minister Ken Skates. The Central Government had hope Skates would have broken the deadlock but it seemed that the union's leadership had used the third round of the talks as a publicity stunt. The General Secretary left the talks without a word to the press and went straight into his car with his negotiating team heading straight to the Union's HQ.

They released what seemed to be a pre-planned statement.

"The leadership alongside the membership have whole heartily reject the pay package and the attempt by the government to send their spin doctor sweeten the bitter pill push forward by them."

With the UGWU being largest union by memberships, representing council workers and public transport drivers. A one day strike would crippled the province transport infrastructure resulting in a standstill in road maintenance services including snow plowing and overnight gritting. This would negativity effectively communities living Upper Ulster Council area.

With the Province having highest unemployment and receiving least investment even a one day strike would push any steps achieved by central government to change this 10 steps back.

Bondance on the verge of collapse
AP Grau

In a series of agreements with investments banks and private citizens the Seltôr family, historic owner of the Gnane Sese company have acquired 40% of Bondance nearly worthless stocks, Cortesan Giuan-Vieri Baviêr tried to follow the steps of the Seltôrs and reached the 37%.
Bondance's worth increased at first, but soon lost most of the progress as voices say the two families plan to split the company in half.
The earnings have dropped since the corruption scandal, and with the larger packing plants still blocked for investigations, almost no new investments and a decrease in sales, Bondance seems to be near the end.

Investors in the Kadikistani SEZs concerned with Youth League rhetoric
AP Banja Luka

General unease this morning concerning the Kadikistani markets. More specifically amongst the shareholders that have invested in the (SEZs). The reason for this reduced confidence were the most recent actions of the Radical Youth League, the youth organization of the leading Communist Workers' Party. The up-and-coming generation is defiantly facing off with the leading gerontocracy and announced their ambition to return the Kadikistani Union to the hardline 'socialist purity' it was claimed to know before 1957. While for the last four decades the current leadership has always managed to inspire trust and stability for its investors, even during the 7-Days War, this growing youth movement is prompting up long term concerns. The shareholders of the various companies who have invested in the no less then 540 SEZs are becoming worried that once the last of the ageing Kadikistani nomenklatura pass away the road will be paved for the young fanatics.

Nonetheless investment confidence is still strong with the Kadikistani Union which besides being one of the most notorious nations in the world also has the solid reputation of never breaking a treaty. Even if it would, there wouldn't be many that would be more detrimental to Kadikistani economical growth than breaking with the SEZs. Indeed the latter have provided the massive and resource-rich nation with a steady economic growth for the past four decades, which in turn inspired more investments and a further liberalization of the Kadikistani self-described 'socialist oriented market economy'.

The Kadikistani administration has made several assurances and in some cases even increased incentives. Besides that even the most radical orthodox Marxist-Leninovists surely realize that the tremendous income generated by the SEZs is something that the All-Union can not do without if it wishes to maintain its annual GDP growth rate of 5.6%. Historically it was during the after the controversial death of Nikolai Leninov in 1957 that the National Committee for Justice and the Rejuvenation of Socialism installed the first SEZs in an effort to stop the economic decline.

The new policies initially only aided in establishing a stagnating economy, the New Order confronted with outdated planned economics, a regional civil war and thus barely able to keep their heads above water. In fact it wasn't until the early 70s when the then unitary state of Kadikistan managed to earn investor confidence with modest growth rates of between 1 and 2% for the rest of the decade. Preforming the necessary innovations and rationalisations have made it possible for the All-Union to achieve higher growth rates then ever, but they've also strengthened orthodox Marxist-Leninovist opposition. The latter considering the very existence of SEZs as an example of how the gerontocracy is selling-out their nation and its natural resources.

UGWU Membership Delegates and Leadership officially calls 14 day strike but business sector worse fears avoided.
AP Moira

UGWU have called a 14 day strike around thousands councils workers ranging from waste management operatives, community bus drivers and traffic wardens. The disruption could have been worse with National Union of Rail & Truck Drivers pulling out of a possible general trike last minute with government insiders saying they accepted a Christmas pay package offered by the central government in secret talks.

This is good news to the Hospitality industry which receive around 15% of their yearly profits around the Mari Lwyd Festival. They were expecting a cut in supply chain during important dates for deliverers from a general strike.

The main disruption would be towards those living in rural areas, with the main urban centre Free City of Moira council already having contingency plans in place.

I would like to inform the government of Entre Ríos that several Eiffelloretalian banks, as well as the Eiffelloretalian car industry, the Rathenau Gruppe (electronics), the Eiffelloretalian biopharmaceutical and medical devices industry, the Königliche Eiffelländische Bergbaugesellschaft and Saillon-Granges Société Minière (both mining companies), and three machine construction companies (CCM S.r.l., Grindelwald Machinenbau GmbH. and Roussillac Sprl.) are interested in investing in the free zones of Entre Ríos. If the free zones also contain oil fields, Eiffelloretalian banks are interested in partnering with oil drilling companies as well.
It is part of the policies of Eiffelloretalian companies to act as respectful employers. We will do everything we can to mitigate the fear for corporate practices.

AP Grau

After a 14 hours long meeting between legal representatives of the powerful Saltôr and Baviêr families, and the current Managing Director Marie Ğuse, an agreement was reached on the future of Bondance.
The corporation assets will be split between the two giants, with the Saltôr family incorporating the packing process and plants to Gagne Sese, and Giuan-Vieri Baviêr taking complete control over Bondance and the remaining food production process.

Polesia bans foreign cars and promises a Folxmashin for every household
AP International

Citizens of the Polesian People's Republic will be forced to hand over any foreign-made cars under new plans revealed by the small communist country's government, which will also see every household provided with a free locally manufactured vehicle.

The Polesian Peace Force, a paramilitary service that is responsible for both law enforcement and national defence, will start seizing any cars not made by Folxmashin, Polesia's state-owned automobile brand, next week. No date was given to when every household will receive their free car.

In a shock move, the ban on foreign car ownership will include cars made in the Anti-State, Kadikistan and Serenierre, the three largest markets for Folxmashin outside of Polesia, risking retaliatory measures such as higher tariffs or mutual bans.

Folxmashin is at the centre of an ongoing legal row with Eiffellander car manufacturers and government over alleged intellectual property theft, with Folxmashin's designs very similar to existing models such as the DW Alisio, DW Solano and Raimer Pamir, which were all manufactured in the former Free State of Trivodnia. This has limited export opportunities, as firms try and avoid being sued by the Eiffellander car industry.

The measures announced today come ahead of Polesia prepares to launch its ten-year economic programme for the 2020s, as the country still struggles to recover from the Seven Day War and rapid transition from mixed market economy to a command one.

According to geopolitical analysts, the Polesian state remains reliant on aid from allies like Kadikistan and ties to black market activity like drug production and smuggling for revenue, while collectivisation and nationalisation have seen productivity plummet.

We condemn the banning of Serenien vehicles. The reckless policies of the Polesian Government will severely impact the goodwill among the Marxist working classes. We call on the Serenien Government to take notice of the unfair practices of the rogue Amstov regime.

We hope the Serenien government recognises the restrictions on private ownership of foreign automobiles as an attempt to rebuild the domestic car manufacturing industry of a nation still recovering from a devastating war and responds appropriately.

Gemini Security the largest security company in Strathclyde just been given permission to hire and have armed security guards by the Home Affairs Office in light of the Moira disorder. The first company to have such permission since the creation of the private armed security licence in 2010.

The company is looking for a partner to help set up their sub-company known as Gemini Armed Security created for their new service and job role,it is then possible it will sale part ownership to the new partner.

New private armed security guards can only carry a sidearm such as a handgun, the gun itself being owned and stored by the Security company. The guards themselves must pass background and fit to work checks.

MareBlu is preparing to start the new year with a conclusion of contract from the Faras Chamber of Commerce, the construction of an entire fleet of fishing boats, 35 ships in all. The CEO of Mareblu communicated to our microphones that Nobatia's request posed a significant structural challenge to the designers, who had to develop naval units that included the entire process, of processing and conservation on the boats. "Factory Ship" Among the most significant and individual units there is a 144m long fishing boat and able to process 350 tonnes of fish a day, can carry 3,000 tons of fuel, and store 7,000 tons of graded and frozen catch. She uses on board forklift trucks to aid discharging. 70% of the boats have been delivered to the nation of Nobatia, within the next month, according to the roadmap, the remaining units should be delivered, ready to perform their function in ocean waters.

An "Invisible Economic boom" and growing issues in Nobatia
AP Faras
Analysis by Sergios Sperides

The beginning of the harvest season of 1736, or in the Gregorian calendar, the beginning of 2020, sees Himyar as a continent of huge economic gaps, with Azraq still stranded in a political crisis and no government for more than a year, Pelasgia just had a terrorist attack that killed the head of state and then it's government pushed back to the restoration of the monarchy, Loago still struggling with lawlessness in it's central regions, the Dune Sea a colony of Pohjanmaa, bur occupied by Nedernesia, Nzadiland in the middle of the anti-colonial struggle against the Tyskonians and Nobatia, presenting itself as an island of tranquillity and economic growth... that is quite invisible.

While nobody is contesting the existence of the growth created by the governmental campaign to diversify the economy and the boom of the mining sector of the Nobatian industry, it is the people who feel more and more alientated with it as the inequality gap grows continuously, being now one of the largest in the world, with the Nethians living in the southern Nomes of the Despotate, the Nobatians living in the rural regions outside of the water basin of the Iteron, the Blemmyes, Urudoah and Yibirs living in the north, representing more than 60% of the population, living in extreme poverty and pauperity, on a day to day basis.

At the same time, the cities of Faras, Berenice, Myos Hormos, Port Buto and Potamopolis grow exponentially as corporations such as Helios SA or the Himyari Bank of Commerce develop and grow more and more, finding new markets, the best known expansions representing the investments done by Helios SA into the Friulian market and the Notios Foods Corporation SA buying stocks out of the Friulian company Bondance. The problem is, besides the owners and the stockholders of those corporations, not even the ones employed by them, let alone the people have actually felt any real improvement in their quality of life.

As a response, in an effort to instil some pride and patriotism, the government organised the 7th edition of the Apollonian Games, which are by now the greatest and most expensive games ever organised. While many are mesmerised, even more are annoyed that money that could have gone into the improvement of the lives of the people, are wasted into this. The Anti-Constitutionalist Act is another point of annoyance as it is seen as violating human dignity as it limits the democratic process fought so hard in the revolution of 1925. It bans membership in any other trade union by the state approved National Federation of Labour, and outright bans any republican or pro-decentralisation thought, sometimes going as far as being used to ban strikes, if they are not approved by the aforementioned state owned trade union.

There is though hope for pro-democracy activists both worldwide and inside Nobatia. In probably a unique episode all over the Globe, the youth and students wing of the Constitutionalist Party, led by Chael Iordanes Hadaatar, have signed a declaration against the current leadership of the main wing of the Constitutionalist Party, led by the current Chancellor of Nobatia, Gabrielkouda Stratides, calling the old guard out for rebuking the ideals of the 1925 revolution and not pushing fully for the democratisation and republicanisation of the Nobatian state, as they originally did back a century ago. An interesting part of it all is how by his popularity, Chael Iordanes Hadaatar is actually immune to the Anti-Constitutionalist Act, so we will see in the future how the political life develops.

In the meantime and in conclusion, as always life still goes on. The Nobatian Mining Conglomerate, the world's biggest mining corporation, owning more than 140 mines and employing half a million people still pushes money into the government's statistic, but besides the capital and a few cities around it, less and less people are feeling it and to avoid an even bigger problem, change must come soon.

Despite the investments, load shedding is still a problem in Nobatia
AP Faras

Recently, the government o Nobatia has, in the past decade invested billions of Staters in the electrical infrastructure of the country, refurbishing the Silver Gorge Dam, originally built in the late 1950s, and with Aurarian investment, developing the Lower Iteron Wind Farm Corporation, to harness the wind energy from the breezes coming from the Sea of Buto and the Baba Geothermal Plant, built around the caustic lakes in the deep south, close to the border with the Dune Sea. Even so, the typical problem for Nobatia, load shedding still continues to be a problem, with Nobatia Electric, the state owned supplier stating that they will implement a stage two load shedding starting tonight at 9pm up until tomorrow at 6am in Myos Hormos, Port Buto, Balaka, Senekal and Mzuzu.

In the past decade, Nobatia Electric has advised people to switch off geysers over peak periods, use cold water tap instead of the geyser all the time, setting swimming pool pump cycles to run twice a day, three hours at a time for optimal use and to turn off computers, copiers, printers and fax machines that are not in use. The electrical grid of the nation hasn't received any important investment since about 30 to 35 years ago, when the population was estimated at around 40 million. Since then, the population grew by around 20 million, with an additional nearly 5 million estimated illegal immigrants living in townships, putting the grid to an immense pressure.

The first step of the modernisation of the electrical supply has been completed when the Silver Gorge Dam was refurbished, the Lower Iteron Wind Farm and the Baba Geothermal Plant were constructed, but also, the Myos Hormos, Faras South and Potamopolis Coal Plans were refurbished and reopened in the past two years. The second step is the modernisation and the refurbishment of the electrical grid and the infrastructure. For this, the government has signed a contract with the Larsian Company Ene Energia Verde, which will jointly work with the state owned Nobatian Electricity Supply Commission to refurbish and modernise the grid. It is said that the contract and the whole modernisation of the electrical infrastructure will cost Nobatia 15 billion Staters over five to ten years.

Eskom, a Nedernesian Power Company, Announces Plan for New Plant in Dune Sea
AP Vrijpoort

The partly Nedernesian government-owned entity, Eskom, has announced plans to construct a brand new power plant near Sandhavn in the Dune Sea to help provide the impoverished territory with much-needed eletrcitiy for both industrial and domestic consumption. The type of plant has not yet been announced, but the main contenders are natural gas, oil and nuclear.

Eskom has been the sole power provider in the Dune Sea for almost 30 years after the Pohjanmaan electricity provider pulled out of the territory in the early 1990s. Since then, basic investments in the existing power plants and grid have been made, but this project would be the single largest modernisation and expansion plan in the territory in decades.

Cooperation with Nobatia Electric is also said to be on the agenda of Eskom. As the neighbouring country embarks on much-needed modernisation plans for its overburdened grid, Eskom sees both an opportunity to assist with technological modernisation efforts as well as discuss the development of a regional cross-border grid that could provide power over the border when needed, or even import from Nobatia in future.

In the meantime, both lands in southern Himyar face a great challenge to achieve regular and sufficient power generation in order to further advance economic development.

Folxmashin loses key market in Serenierre-Kadikistan showdown
AP International

The Ministry of Trade and Industry in the People's Republic of Polesia has warned controversial state-owned car brand Folxmashin would likely see lower revenue as a result of the escalating spat between the People's Republic of Serenierre and Kadikistani-led Rurikgrad Pact.

Serenierre is one of the few countries that allows the easy import of Folxmashin vehicles, making the Gallian nation an important market and source of income for the car manufacturer. As economic ties are cut between Serenierre and the Rurikgrad Pact, Folxmashin is likely to lose market access entirely.

In most other jurisdictions, the sale of Folxmashin has been restricted by law suits lodged by the Eiffellander automobile industry. The Eiffellander government and automotive sector accuse Folxmashin of stealing intellectual property from Eiffellander car manufacturers by copying their designs. Folxmashin denies the accusations.

Geopolitics is another issue, as many states do not recognise or have formal diplomatic relations with the Polesian People's Republic, making importing goods from there almost impossible.

In its statement the Polesian Ministry of Trade and Industry pointed to the export agreement with the Anti-State, which gave Folxmashin access to hundreds of millions of potential customers. The ministry also claimed sales in Rurikgrad Pact member-states were growing as well, helping insulate Folxmashin from the loss of market access to Serenierre. The figures have not been independently verified.

A Folxmashin spokesperson said its models were quickly emerging as collector's items as well, thanks to the controversy surrounding the brand.

Eiffelloretalian companies put cooperation with Furlanian company Baviêr Tramais on hold

After Furlanie signed the Status Quo Treaty with Kadikistan, the Eiffelloretalian companies Raimer A.G., Magirus-Deutz GmbH., CCM S.r.l., Grindelwald GmbH. and Roussillac Sprl. put the cooperation with the Furlanian company Baviêr Tramais on hold upon a government directive. The reason for this decision is the fear that Eiffelloretalian techniques end up in the Rurikgrad Pact; especially the fact that Polesia would definitely copy said techniques is a reason to put this cooperation on hold.
As a consequence of this decision, employees from Baviêr Tramais are not allowed within the properties of Raimer, Magirus-Deutz, CCM, Grindelwald and Roussillac until the cooperation can be continued again. Furthermore, all copies of designs in the offices of Baviêr Tramais in which ideas from Raimer, Magirus-Deutz, CCM, Grindelwald and Roussillac are incorporated will be taken away from the properties of Baviêr Tramais.
The Eiffelloretalian government indicated that the cooperation can be continued again when at least the economic parts of the Status Quo Treaty are cancelled.

Between sanctions and subsidies
AP Grau

The Friulian stock market plummets as the central Eiffelland-Retalian Government forces its whole industrial sector to halt cooperation with the Grand Duchy.
Economy and Finance Minister, Ervin Parcjelîr, is shocked: "Halting cooperation and threatening the historic economic exchange between our nations will bring serious consequences to Retalian and Eiffellander exports, we are working closely with the Foreign Ministry to fix this unexpected hostile treatment" adding that, if Eiffelland-Retalia will withdraw from the trade agreement stipulated with the ODS barely 2 months ago, Furlanìe will "cancel its trade incentives in a specular manner, and consider working for an international solution (...)(with) international sanctions focused on the Eiffellander political elites and industrial sector (for unfair practices)"

On the other hand, the Ministry has promised actions to support the economy in the next days, if no diplomatic solution is reached, with the possibility of the Friulian State to buy all or part of the Martecna stocks on the table, hoping to halt the downwards trend of the strategic ship-building corporation.

Confenonîr Cosàn Bernars reassured: "the Government has the resolution of the Grau-Tibur-Trier economic and diplomatic issues as its prime goal, but we have contingency plans for all outcomes, I invite the citizens to have faith in my highly competent team of ministers, we are sailing on troubled waters, but the ship is strong, and" he jokingly concluded "made by G&T Cantîrs"
