Lady Justice Justice Anwanyu Okoye, the ranking Nethian political figure in Port Stanley that the UDP has asked to broker peace talks with Marxist-Leninovist guerilla fighters, released a written statement that a ceasefire with the RANU-PF was near. "These negotiations are promising because we now have direct concessions from the RANU leadership," the statement reads, "not the unreliable word of Popular Front politicians that do not speak for the armed wing of the rebel movement."

The Rwenbezi Armed National Uprising (RANU) group and its leader 'Comrade Georges' control many villages in the northern rainforest hinterland of Port Stanley, as well as upon the eastern savannas. Although the RANU is smaller than their umbrella faction in neighboring Loago, the League of Loagin Communists (LLC), they have largely been more successful at mobilizing Mafewo-Fante tribal elders to support a campaign of armed insurgency. Helicopter paratroopers from Chinde have waged an on-and-off "Bush War" against the RANU.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Octavia Butler (UDP-Chinde) praised Justice Okoye's efforts before flying to the northern city of Fort Smith to sign a provisional agreement with the RANU leadership. She could not be reached for media interviews because of severe cyclonic lake-storms that prohibited travel between Oriel and Fort Smith this afternoon. "We shall do anything to get our prime minister back," she said for the television cameras this morning at Ian B. Smith Airport in Chinde, boarding a flight north to Oriel, "that's the most important thing."

BREAKING: Slavian Trivodnians back unification with Kadikistan

Slavian-majority areas in the Free State of Trivodnia have voted to become part of the Kadikistani Union, local media reports suggest, as the small Slavo-Germanian country faces division along ethnic lines.

Broadcasters run by the Provisional Military Administration of Trivodnia, the temporary government installed by Kadikistan after the Free State surrendered, said initial ballot counts point towards large majorities for unification. Full and final results are expected in the early hours of the morning.

Trivodnia has been occupied by the Kadikistani military since surrendering unconditionally after a seven-day war with the Rurikgrad Pact, the communist alliance that also includes the People's Republic of Xinhai and Free Canton of Crotobaltislavonia.

The Trivodnian cities of Beltizni and Olnitz have already been annexed by Crotobaltislavonia as part of peace reparations and now Slavian-majority areas, representing around two-thirds of Trivodnia's territory, look destined to join Kadikistan.

Pro-democracy non-governmental organisations have condemned the referendum as unfree and unfair, citing the fact Jews were barred from voting, the absence of an opposition campaign and suspected coercion by the Kadikistani armed forces. However the Trier Concord - the Kingdom of Eiffelland and Grand Duchy of Retalia - which backed Trivodnia in the conflict looks set to accept the result, as does most of the international community, which has largely ignored the vote.

Communist victories in Lounamaad stabilise the front

The pitched battles in Virumaa have ended by the mid of this week with a series of huge victories of the Kuressaare regime. Under the command of General Ando Kuusik, the Democratic Army, together with the help of Kadikistani and Northerner volunteer forces have managed to push back RCT 1 under the command of General Ants Kaljurand at the battle of Oru. While much information is not tested, it has been reported that general Ando Kuusik has managed to outsmart the white forces by mimicking a retreat and then surrounding it. As of yet, even General Ants Kaljurand has been declared MIA in the whole chaos which has been dubbed either the miracle or the disaster at Oru, depending on the affiliations.

In Kuressaare, command of the Democratic Army has been delegated by Jaak Raud to Andreas Becker, the son of Roman Becker. He managed with the supplies offered by the Kadikistani to stop the advance in Kuressaare by the white forces and as of yet, the front stabilised around the Pirita neighbourhood, with many of the citizens evacuated, as the houses and apartments along the beach have been transformed into sniper and spotter hideouts.

With the support of the Kadikistani air force, the Democratic Air Force managed to stand a chance again in the fight for the hegemony of the air against the whites. It has been reported that many of the highways which pass through the southern regions of the country have been transformed into impromptu airstrips which have been heavily fortified to be easily defended.

On the sea, the submarine unit, still loyal to the Democratic Navy manages to keep the frigate units of the white navy in the natural port of Kerdla, thus ensuring that the guided missile systems of the frigates won't be used for coastal bombardments anymore.

Viktoria Sokk, the Chairwoman of the Supreme Revolutionary Council has commended the fighting spirit of the working class of Virumaa and also thanks the Kadikistani Union and the Northern Cooperative Republics for their support the conflict. On the other side, both Archbishop Hendrik Saar, from his headquarters in Eschenbach and Koit Sisask, from Kerdla, have announced that the recent setbacks are just a temporary delay in the final victory of the anti-communist forces.

The Office of the Lord Speaker and Keeper of the Engellexian Republic Parlement issued a Letter just moments ago, confirming speculation that the Engellexian Republic has issued a formal declaration of war against the Trier Concord.

In the release, which was marked with today's date, the Lord Speaker and Keeper confirmed a meeting between the Republic Security Committee, the Council of the Republic, and the Republic Naval Council, during which the Lord Protector and Admiral-General of the Republic, Viscount Walter Drake, described the threat to the Engellexian Republic to be a threat, without moral shame and embarrassment, to the honesty of our Democracy, the Freedom of our Enlightened Peoples, and the Progress of the First Civilisation.

The release concluded, stating that ALL forces of the Engellexian Republic Navy have been issued Executive Orders containing instruction that their primary objective is the defence of the Engellexian Republic, the Thaumantic Ocean Area, the Thaumantic Peoples, and Our Liberty, confirming that a State of Competing Action (War) now exists between the Engellexian Republic and the Trier Concord.

It would appear that these orders are ready to be executed, with ORTHRUS Command formally superseded by CERBERUS Command, and the naval fleets of the Elephantine and Henriettan Admiralties in the North Thaumantic on full alert and in a state of emergency readjustment to operational suitability.

It is unclear if Engellexian Republic Navy and Trier Concord forces will engage and make contact, as the situation remains entirely unclear, but at this time there massive naval movements from the ERN being seen in SoCRER and NoCRER.

With the surprising and dismaying news of Engellex declaring war on the Trier Accord, the Republic of Bergenheim's response to this situation, so soon after the draining and recession-causing tumult of the recent Great War for Trivodnia, has been to issue a prompt and unanimous declaration of Strict Neutrality.

Although the Archchancellor does not technically currently possess the legal authority to make such a declaration without authorisation from the House of Burghers, the authority of the National Unity Government empowering the Archchancellor's proclamation still technically holds sway until October 24th.

Given the circumstances, it is unlikely that the House will challenge the Archchancellor's overreach in this situation. Bergenheim is keen to maintain vital and tenuous commercial and financial ties with Engellex and the Trier Accord, and has twinned its declaration with an urge for restraint and discussion.

Responding to questions by international journalists regarding the use of chemical weapons against Occitanian soldiers, Premier Martinique stated: "While the spin doctors of Trier have been busy trying to make it seem that the Serenien military has attacked civilians, the truth however is that our military has acted in tactical and limited situations." The Premier, when asked about the legality of the use of chemical weapons, "Under the traditional understanding of international relations, national sovereignty is still very much a concept we adhere to. And one of the most fundamental rights available to nation-states is to use whatever means necessary to defend their sovereignty and territory."

The press conference further covered the developments in Eiffelland, where a special prosecutor has announced that he would be bringing forward charges against the Serenien leadership for war crimes and crimes against humanity, the Premier said: "This special prosecutor business is absolutely without any precedent and is ridiculous. What authority does he have over me? The Eiffellanders have acceded to the Midweis 'Treaty'. As far as the exercise of Serenien state power is concerned, the use of chemical weapons is not illegal. And so, how can one be guilty of something which is not a crime?"

The Premier categorically stated that the war with Occitania would continue until its logical conclusion and that the fact Eiffelland and Retalia had attacked Peninsular Serenierre meant that the Serenien military was at absolute liberty to attack and wage war against the mainland of Eiffelland and Retalia, without fear of Burgundian intervention because "Chagny's treaties with Trier and Altburg envisage a situation where they have been attacked." The Premier reminded the press that Serenierre declared war on Occitania and did not declare war on either Eiffelland or Retalia - as the Ruriksgrad Pact had done in the east. "But in light of the actions by the Trier Concord, we believe that we have no been given a free hand to fight without fear of Burgundian intervention, even though in light of the catastrophic defeat suffered by the Burgundian military in the east, we doubt they could help Trier much."

Asked what the logical conclusion to hostilities is, Premier Martinique stated: "We believe that the status quo must be restored in Gallia with respect to Occitania. An Occitania which is in bed with Trier is unacceptable to us and is a grave threat to the national security of the Republique Populaire. Second, we believe that the war has afforded us an opportunity to re-calibrate the regional maritime policy in the Retalian Sea."

Premier Martinique also commented on the Bergen effort to create an international convention against chemical warfare: "The so called Treaty of Midweis is a pointless exercise in virtue-signalling. It is interesting that the international community is quick to believe propaganda issued by Trier but fails to see the reasons for why Serenierre has been pushed into action. My Government respects the rights of nation-states to arrive at their conclusions regarding various matters, however to afford them some overarching universal value is in direct contrast with the established ways of our diplomacy."

Loagan Bush War escalates as LLC begins new offensives

The Loagan Bush War, which started officially in the early summer sees new escalations as more than thirty convoys passing through the Aribinda-Sebba-Orodara Highway. In early June, the Third Masimba, whose real name is still not known as of yet, has declared the beginning of the "people's war" in Loago and with a series of attacks in just one month he manged to grind the whole country to a half.

Even if his first offensive was very aggressive and violent, the League of Communists didn't manage to take control of any cities, as they only attacked isolated villages and usually unguarded civilian cars. Even so, the fact that they could organise attacks all along the Wala lands, has taken the government by surprise. After the devastating attack on Athea Farm, near Mbaiki, where the LLC guerrillas have killed 15 Wala farmhands and the whole Virunian family of 7 members that owned it, the Maseru government has decided to call for help and has hired the Bergenheimer mercenaries of the Drachenfels Regiment. At the same time, the Burukova Industrial Agriculture, Mining and Fishing Syndicate also stated that it has no faith in the capabilities of the government to defend their estates so they hired ten companies of the Purple Gloves to do the job.

The use of the fire force missions by the Security Forces, trained by the Bergenheimer mercenaries have been a limited success, as they managed to stall the advances of the guerrillas in the countryside, but they never offered that decisive victory that the government in Maseru needs. Even so, the rural areas of the Walalands, with the exception of the regions where mining is done by the Viru Himyari Company and where the Burukova Syndicate operates, have been turned into a patchwork of no-go zones. In such regions, civilian cars need to band together in convoys of up to 30 or even 50 vehicles, to be escorted by the Security Forces through the high threat portions of the road. Even so, mines and roadside ambushes are a daily element of the life now in rural Loago.

Two regions of the country offer the complete opposite image. On the coast, where the white minority (Virunians, Gunnmen, Engells) lives, especially around Maseru and Kariba life still goes on like nothing important is happening. The only changes are being brought by the influx of Virunians from the inland who preferred to leave their farms than risk attacks like the one in Athea. On the other side of the country, the Fantelands are officially under the administration of Maseru, but in reality, the region is administered and government from Bulawayo by the "United Tribes" and they are economically supported by the Upper Bena Mining Union. In the mean time, the airport in Bulawayo has seen much more activity as Natalia has been continuously sending humanitarian aid in the last month there, and many companies which still operate in Loago have switched to that airport after an airliner has been shot down by the guerrillas in Maseru, two months ago, killing 230 people.

It is interesting to observe that while the LLC has state that they fight against the racist regime in Loago and for the independence of the whole country, the League of Communists never managed to sway the Fante to join them, so the Bush war is mostly fought in the places where the Wala live, with the communists target being of course, the Limestone Coast and the city of Maseru.

In the recent attacks, it has been reported that the LLC has came up to fight better trained and better equipped than before. Yesterday, when a fire force mission has been called to destroy an outpost of the LLC, two Natalian made Atlas Crane helicopters used as transports for the government soldiers have been shot down by shoulder fired surface to air missiles. Only two casualties were reported by the downing of the helicopters, but the mission has been deemed a failure.

Since the civil war in Virumaa has started, soldiers from Cabaon and Loago have been sent up north to fight against the Beckerist government in Kuressaare. Analysts have stated that after the first series of offensives, the LLC was on the retreat and if Paavo Laht would have kept loyal soldiers to him back in Loago, he would have managed to finally defeat them once and forever. But he rushed, believing that their first offensive being a bloody fiasco, they were too weak to continue and they would have returned into the underground, but it seems that the League of Communists has received many new members and equipment and with the news of the setbacks of the whites in Virumaa, they are now much more motivated than ever to continue the war.

Analysis: The Red Tsardom - Ivar reasserts Kadikistan as a central Gallo-Germanian power

It has taken nearly a century, but Kadikistan has finally reversed the setbacks it suffered in the early 20th century, when the Communist revolution saw it lose territory and influence in the heart of Gallo-Germania.

But having now defeated the Free State of Trivodnia and absorbed its Slavian-majority areas after a questionable referendum, Kadikistan has upended the geopolitical order that has governed the Three Seas region for nearly a hundred years. After all, Trivodnia was created by rival regional powers to prevent Kadikistan having a foothold in both Lake Elbe and the Polesian Sea. Now it has direct access to both. Under plans announced by the temporary Kadikistani military administration,the Trivodnian port-city of Druzhnia will be divided along ethnic lines - Yiddish north of the river, Slavians to the South - and host the first permanent Kadikistani naval base on the Polesian since Tsarist times.

Its annexation of northern Trivodnia means Kadikistan now also virtually encircles Elben, which, along with the Krasnislavian principalities, used to be a historic rival of the Tsars in Ivar. This, together with Crotobaltislavonia being firmly back in Kadikistan's fold, has led the Council of the North, which includes Geotri and Gunnland as well as Elben, to start taking the threat of Communism seriously. "Driven partly by a reactionary Catholic anti-Semitism, Elben and Gunnland in particular used to side with Kadikistan against Trivodnia," explains Dr. Ryszard Lis of the Middle West Institute, "but with Trivodnia out the way it is obvious what a real danger Kadikistan is."

Yet many experts expect if the Council went toe-to-toe with the Rurikgrad Pact and Serenierre, the alliance would face the same fate of the Trier Concord and Burgundy. "A handful of medium-sized powers isn't enough to stop the combined juggernauts of Kadikistan and Xinhai," warns one defence analyst.

As well as sharing a long land border with Kadikistan, Elben's other weakness is its large Krasnislavian community and growing refugee population. "Ivar will easily exploit any ethnic tensions," says Elbener journalist Antoni Mishnik.

Kadikistan can also use Crotobaltislavonia to threaten Elben's neighbour and ally Gunnland. "Windhaven's failed gambit in Crotobaltislavonia ultimately handed the country to the Rurikgrad Pact," claims a Burgundian government official, referring to the surprise Gunnish intervention, which Burgundy claims prevented the Grand Duchy from rescuing Trivodnia in time.

At first it looked like Gunnland had managed to secure economic concessions from a grateful Crotobaltislavonian government. However Banja Luka soon reneged on its promises, allegedly under pressure from Kadikistan. "The Kadikis are still boss here," says Crotobaltislavonia watcher Mile Kusovac.

With a permanent Kadikistani military presence in Crotobaltislavonia all bbu guaranteed, Ivar can now easily strike at Gunnland, Bergenheim or Burgundy - something unthinkable even at the height of the Tsardom's power.

Yet others caution against painting a too triumphant picture for Kadikistan. "Crotobaltislavonia and Trivodnia have yet to be fully stabilised, propping up yet another puppet state will be expensive, other countries will now likely ramp up military spending... Kadikistan still had its problems," concludes Dr. lis, noting the conflict in Virumaa and growing rebellion in northern tribal Kadikistan.

Communists take control of northern Bulawayo

As the League of Communists are following their "People's Liberation War" in Loago against the government in Maseru, they intensity of the firefights is continuously escalating and as of yet, the government's Security Forces have been on a general retreat from the rural areas as the guerrillas of the LLC seem to have endless manpower and equipment.

Early this morning, the war reached a new phase, as the LLC has started a mortar barrage against the northern sector of the city of Bulawayo, destroying the military base of the city and the television tower. This was followed by a general surrender of the Security Forces in the city, with little to no resistance.

Even with the support of the Drachenfels Regiment, the Security Forces have grave problems of morale, as many of them aren't motivated to fight their co-nationals for the white minority government. A counterattack organised by the government, trying to take back the city has failed as the helicopters have met with a barrage of soil-air missiles fired by the communist guerrillas.

Until now, the LLC units have acted as a rural guerrilla, using hit and run tactics to attack the supply lines of the government and to raid the Virunian owned farms along the Limestone Coast. This new occupation of the city of Bulawayo gives the communists a territory they are linked to and thus it may begin what Masimba has called for "national liberation".

The Fante Tribal Union, while it reported no casualties on the southern banks of the Bena river and their sector of Bulawayo are concerned that a victory of the LLC might be merely weeks away and after that Masimba might turn against them.

Politburo meets to draft basic law for Western Occitania

The highest administrative body of the Communist Party of Serenierre has convened a special session to draft a basic law for the western region of the former Kingdom of Occitania, which has fallen under the jurisdiction of Serenien military occupation following the Treaty of Camp Hill. The senior leadership of the military and other state functionaries will also be in attendance while the Politburo prepares the Basic Law which will enshrine an administrative structure for the nascent Protectorate of Occitania - which contains the territory of five duchies that once formed the old Kingdom.

The Archbishop of Villesen and other high ranking members of the Church of Serenierre will also be present to advise the Politburo in preparing a legislative program for the Protectorate designed to diminish the presence of "Cathar heresy" and to bring forth a greater presence for Twentish Catholicism in the former stronghold of the Cathar religion.

The Government of Serenierre announced that the military occupation of western Occitania would continue until a fully functioning administrative set up was established and all hostile elements were neutralized. The international border between Serenierre and the Protectorate has been sealed to ensure that no unauthorised movement is possible. And further, a curfew remains in place in the Protectorate, which is currently slowly adjusting to the post-war situation. The Military of Serenierre is currently responsible for administrative functions of the occupied territory and the Villesen Government has ensured that the civilian populace in the Protectorate of Occitania is provided with a steady supply of daily rations.

Dear King Carlos Francisco II,

On behalf of Humanos sin Fronteras, I am writing today to plead for the lives of the nineteen individuals that the Holy Kingdom has sentenced to death with the execution set tomorrow. Our organization is a non-political, non-governmental organization that seeks to promote quality of life for all peoples across Europe. In pursuit of our mission of justice and equality, we have found that we have no choice but to address our numerous concerns with this criminal proceeding.

Firstly, and important to stress, it is the not the interest of our organization to diminish or question the sovereignty of the Holy Kingdom over its laws. While we may disagree with the legal system, we do not argue the exclusive right of the Justosian Government to enforce it. However, we do feel that a valid argument can be made that should be sufficient enough to spare the lives of these nineteen individuals.

These individuals were arrested on 11 Pruinames CXCIX, or 1 November 2018. They were charged with treason and illegal possession of firearms the next day. Later that very day, subversion was added to the list of criminal charges. It took only five days for the Justosian Legal System to determine to end the lives of nineteen individuals by as inhumane a method as hanging. However, later that day, your Royal Majesty, changed the sentence to a death by firing squad.

Our legal experts raise a number of concerns with this trial. Principally, the Universal Declaration of Human Values, enshrined in the Aurarian Constitution as Article III, states the necessity of a fair trial as being a principle virtue of mankind. We understand that neither the declaration nor Aurarian Constitution have legal authority in Justosia, however we are remise as Aurarians to not support those values globally. That being said, yesterday the JNN reported that these individuals’ defense attorneys appeared as though “they weren’t even trying.”

We find that statement to be concerning and it calls into question whether the trial was truly fair. We are horrified at the prospect of nineteen individuals’ lives being ended in a trial that was less than fair.

Further, we do not believe that an adherence to the socialist or communist ideology is sufficient enough cause to warrant a death penalty. That form of punishment is inconsistent with the “crime” committed.

To that end, we humbly request that His Royal Majesty, King Carlos Francisco II, suspend the scheduled execution of the nineteen individuals while HSF works with the Aurarian Government to grant asylum. We believe, strongly, that the Aurarian Government will approve our request and offer these individuals a home. This solution will keep these men and women alive while exiling them from Justosia where they can do no harm. HSF intends to fully pay for any costs associating with the housing of these men and women until such a time that the Aurarian Government approves asylum.

I do hope that the King of the Holy Kingdom takes a note from the kindness and forgiveness of Jesus Christ and agrees to spare the lives of these individuals. Thank you for your time.

As to the trial of these traitors itself. I swear to you before Yahweh it was just. Those public defenders were fully credentialed. I agree they looked either apathetic or overwhelmed at times. I understand this too. The evidence against them was beyond damming. The jury must have felt the same way as they were quick but learned I believe. Though I can only assume as obviously their session was closed. Four of them actually confessed before quickly recanting it. If those defenders were truly unqualified, they would have been promptly dismissed by the judge presiding, constitutionally.

I shall also inform you in that is in illegal to be a Socialist and/or Communist in Justosia, via constitutional amendment ratified in 1940. Being a leftist however, is perfectly legal. The actions of these convicted traitors, bares that amendment out.

Elbener Krasnislavian leader gives first public postwar speech

Count Radovan Rajičov, a leader of a large faction in the sejm legislature of Elben's Krasnislavian region, spoke publicly for the first time since the end of the Seven Days War. Addressing a gathering of his faction's youth organization, Rajičov touched on a number of issues, including the breakup of Trivodnia, the addition of that state's Krasnislavian region to that of Kadikistan, and the new Polesian state. His primary topic though was the influx of refugees from the war.

"Brothers and sisters, we must continue to do our utmost to welcome our brethren from the former Trivodnia. They have been corrupted by that state's secular welfare system. They know only the life of those who have sucked from the teat of the power elite, whereby they were kept in line by their Yid masters. Those who commit crime must be punished. Those who can contribute should be accepted with open arms! In our churches, our schools, our civic institutions! Those who do not wish to join us in our authentic Krasnislavian society will fall by the wayside!"

Count Rajičov's speech comes in the wake of growing insecurity in Elbenese Krasnislavia. According to police sources, street crime has increased dramatically since the end of the war. Blud addiction has skyrocketed, and sex crimes are rampant. Rajičov's faction's militia has taken part in several protests that disintegrated into violence as it attacked panhandlers and other homeless from the former Trivodnia.
