Sylvanian Navy Confirms Downing of Justosia Fighter
AP Charleroi
After rumor and speculation of the downing of a Justosian fighter 500 miles north east of Gironia, Vanguardia on May 14, the Sylvanian Navy has finally confirmed the report. The Sylvanian Navy informed local media in Charleroi that its carrier group in the area had been approached by two Justosian fighters on what Sylvania claims was an attack vector. Sylvanian fighters were dispatched and engaged the Justosian fighters, destroying one, while the other retreated after avoiding the missile fired at it. Sylvanian officials have stated that after the downing of an Ambrosian fighter, no risks could be taken and that the Justosian fighters could have been a prelude to a larger attack. No word has come out of Justosia following the downing of their fighter. The only public statement so far from President Breckenridge was a cryptic reassurance of Sylvania's commitment to "take all necessary measures in support of freedom and in defense of peace in the South Silk Sea."
