AN OPEN LETTER TO THE FOREIGN MINISTRIES OF THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD
Esteemed Colleagues,
The terrible violence recently witnessed in the Eastern Cape territory, a colony of the Empire of Valkany, was a needed warning on the dangers of the continued domination of Himyar by external powers. It is time to recognise the colonial experiment has failed. The proud continent of Himyar must be set free.
Colonial conquest itself was a murderous and unjust affair. The mass slaughter of Native Peoples, who had hitherto led a tranquil and simple existence, is one of the greatest crimes of recent history. The brutal capture of traditional homelands, and their subsequent exploitation for the benefit of outsiders, is the true explanation for Himyar's comparative lack of progress.
Of course before these outrages were the Thaumantic and Urodoah Slave Trades, in which dark-skinned Himyari Men and Women were forcibly seized and transported to labour under cruel masters in far away lands. This is a crime perhaps even greater than that of colonialism.
The Republic of Cathiopia however recognises such tragedies of history cannot be reversed, and has thus long advocated a gradual demise to the colonial state, with the consent of both the governing and the governed.
But it is now for the ruling to recognise their reign in Himyar is not indefinite. The Native Men and Women of Himyar cannot simply accept full and equal rights under an alien regime. They must have full and equal rights under a regime of their own choosing and design.
The Republic of Cathiopia thereby extends an invitation to all nations to participate in a global discussion on the future of Himyar in the conference halls of Nkalamenga. We trust few would miss this historic opportunity.
