The use of force is a temporary solution to problems that will persist. Only through diplomacy and mutual respect can the nations of the world hope to rectify differences, pacify tensions, and improve the quality of life for all across the globe. It is in the spirit of this truth that the Aurarine Republic joined the Claret Sea Council and will reaffirm its commitment to the goals of the Council. The Claret Sea is the most vital waterway in the world, carrying more shipping routes and affecting the economies of more countries than any other. The affairs of the Sea have, for centuries, been a focal point of debate and controversy with constant flare ups. Each time tensions increase on the Sea, the economic effects are felt globally – and worse, the safety of the travelers on it come into question. This is the status quo. Powerful forces constantly move against one another to affirm their grip over the sea and the constant struggles of might result in an unending feud that benefits no country and is a detriment to all. Therefore, the Aurarine Republic unequivocally states that it does not, under any circumstances, recognize hegemony nor ownership of the free waterways of the Long Sea by any nation, alliance of nations, nor international organization. The Claret Sea Council does not seek to establish hegemony or rule, but rather a permanent diplomatic arena for nations to communicate and agree settle disputes and reinforce the Sea’s status as international waters. The mission of the Aurarian Delegation to the Council will perpetually be to promote the free use of its waters, to mitigate tensions, and to contain threats. This council is unprecedented in its scope and the moment commands the attention of the nations which form the Council. Therefore, it is the firm stance of the Republic that for any actor to immediately dismiss the mission of the Claret Sea Council and announce full intentions to disregard it before it even begins to address the global concerns of the Sea is nothing short of dangerous, irresponsible foreign policy that is self-serving. Further, actions to refuse cooperation with the nations of the Claret Sea Council for no other reason than membership in the Council will compound the issues surrounding the waterway. This is an exemplary example of the reason for which the Claret Sea remains volatile. The status quo of might equals right must, for the sake of all countries, be forgotten as the tactics of the past and instead we must all focus on coming together, despite our differences, to accomplish mutual goals. DECLARACIÓN CONJUNTA​

Please be advised that at 0800 this morning, the planned and declared naval training exercises in the Claret Sea have commenced. These exercises shall last until 22 Germinortia | 10 May in the highlighted area below. During this time, assets of the Aurarine Republican Navy in conjunction with certain assets of the Aurarine Republican Air Force will be conducted simulated training exercises with the intention of training and preparations for real-world emergencies and testing the ability of the Republic to rapidly response to emergencies.

At present, the Republic is deploying five Frigates, two Destroyers, and seven patrol craft to the designated area for the commencement of the training exercises. Aurarian Air Power will change sporadically based on mission necessity and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Republican Armed Forces will continuously update regional governments of air operations to ensure safety.

Once again, to ensure the safety of all peoples in the Reman Sea, foreign and civilian vessels will not be permitted in the exercise zone during the period of the exercises. Civilian air craft will follow strict guidelines put in place by Aurarian Air Traffic Control to ensure their safety at certain times, at other times civilian air traffic will not be permitted in the highlighted zone.
