From the desk of His Most Esteemed Excellency, The President-For-Life of The Free Canton of Crotobaltislavonia, and The Dear Leader of the Crotobaltislavonian Nation Raul Farrago

Monsieurs and Mademoiselles,

Greetings from Banja Luka! I am heartened to learn that the Free State is eager for better relations with Crotobaltislavonia. I am most amenable to bilateral talks between our two states. Of course, Crotobaltislavonia will do all it can to allay your fears of our indomitable national strength before the talks can commence. Please, tell us what we must do to put Trivodnia at ease!

The last six months have been hard for all of us! I have survived no less than six assassination attempts! My own motorcade came under friendly fire, the boys protecting Banja Luka being so eager to kill Pochenkoist counter-reactionaries! So much violence, and that nasty Blud to, floating around the Polesian Sea, it's no wonder that the Free State feels the way it does!

I am told by the Economic Administration that Crotobaltislavonia met all of it's production goals in the first quarter. Therefore, I have ordered an immediate reduction in trade barriers between Crotobaltislavonia and the Free State! How glorious that we begin a new era of peace and prosperity for our peoples!

Most sincerely,

Raoul Farrago, TBTI,TBTW,TBTEWB

From: His Excellency President Meier Lauterpacht

President Farrago,

It is encouraging you share our enthusiasm for peace and stability in the Three Seas region.

However we must make clear Trivodnia's feelings of insecurity and danger are driven not by Crotobaltislavonian internal strife or organised criminals, but by the actions of your own government. The anti-Semitic outbursts from yourself and your regime combined with persistent false claims alleging the Free State was involved in the failed so-called Christmas Coup deeply soured relations between us. The invitation of Kadikistani troops to Crotobaltislavonia was also cause for serious alarm and nearly sparked a major conflict.

However I acknowledge your offer to lift trade restrictions and will push the Trivodnian government to do the same.

Should further goodwill be demonstrated, such as a cast-iron guarantee there will be no permanent Kadikistani military presence in Crotobaltislavonia, we would also be open to exchanging ambassadors once more.

Once both these steps have happened we can consider direct talks.

SIGNED

On behalf of

Meier Lauterpacht
President of the Free State of Trivodnia
