Today marks the opening of the national Bolonesvian News Services. This television broadcast is the first for our news agency, with the demand of television sets at home increasing, the government expanded the national news services. Now, this channel will be on at 9, 12, 15:00, and 20:30. Thank you for waiting on our introduction, and now for us to get to buisness.


Politics:


Reports of the Marxist-Leniovist party increasing members as both the Populous Party and Arbeiter Partei lose members at an alarming rate. Many leftist activist have been protesting goverment taxes, military intervention, and wealth inequality. Many see this party as nothing but a group of radicals, but is there something more? Our expert did an interview with the head of the party, quoting them to say "It is time for Bolonesvia to end this crusade of militarism and nationalism." She spoke of the need of wealth redistribution and the belief that the current constitution is no longer valid. "It is a living document and our government holds us hostage to older times"

The military budget has been expanded with the introduction of the new jet fighter, P-1112. (OOC: Expanded ME-262 platform that is more reliable, faster, and has a higher ceiling to fly with. Also new to the military are the Gewher-55, which is a new fully automatic rifle being introduced to add onto the already used Gewehr-98 (Kar98). A new tank has been seen being tested, which several Heer officers confirmed, the new Panzer 7l68 (OOC: T-52 with a Tiger Turret). These will see production in the upcoming year.

Sports:
The new Bolonesvian Football League has been founded, with subsequent leagues under it for relegation. 20 teams per league, with the drafting of teams happening in the coming months.

Entertainment:
Many directors are begining to find the horror genre is the most lucrative in film right now, as more and more begin to poor out of Reigenstadt's entertainment district.

The Monarchist Reclamation Party of Bolonesvia has officially dissolved, reasons being linked to lack of support, funds, and overall lack of legitimacy. The more conservative and authoritarian members of the party have formed the National Party of Democratic Bolonesvia. The Marxist-Leninovist party calls this new group "Thinly Veiled Facism". The more main line parties have said "We are too busy solving problems to deal with these minor parties".

OTHER NEWS:

The Heer and Marinewacht has begun closer training on the nations beaches, stating the need for a more well rounded military. The goal is to make the Heer more effective in fighting in foreign operations should the need arise.

In the mining town of Kriststadt, a 23 year old radical lefitist named Thomas Mikinski, formally a member of the Marxist-Leninovist party till he was banned following a fight in the headquaters, has bombed the local Police Headquarters, killing 75 police officers, wounding 5 more. 4 Civilians were killed due to falling rubble, 50 more were injured. The goal of this attack is believed to be a protest against current conservative control of the lower house. Martial Law has been declared, and investigations into the Marxist-Leninovist Party are being held. With elections happening in the coming weeks, this is sure to change the political landscape, as the Marxist Leninovist Party is now the sole leftist party in Bolonesvia following the closing of the Partei fuer Arbeiter. The radical left group already commands a 20% Approval rate, something not seen since the election of Eric Hoff. Reactions have resulted in many to begin identifying with the NDP. Frustrations mount as economic slow down continues.

We hope you all are safe and are moving on from yesterdays tragedy. It does not seem like this will leave our hearts and minds anytime soon, with a martial law in effect till Wednesday, and thousands are without power in northern Krisstadt following the collapse of the police station yesterday that that destroyed a power transformer. Protests from both the far right and left demanding resolving of the current economic downturn and also calling for, albeit different, responses. The far-left are hoping to come into power to severely punish members of corporations who employ minority workers and call for a full nationalization of the private sector. The far right on the other hand is also demanding the nationalization fo industry, however, they are calling for immediate response to the perpetrators. The NPD has almost grown hand in hand overnight with the Marxist Leninovist Party, and many fear violence with elections on Wednesday.

WILLIAM TOVENSTEIGER IN CRITICAL CONDITION

Today at 2:00, only days after the Bombing in Krisstadt, in Reigenstadt, Kanzlerin Helen Reins has been assasinated while giving a speach at the future memorial site for the victims of the bombings. An unknown suspect in the near downtown area shot and killed the Kanzlerin. This tragic event happened simultaneously as the President was giving a speach in Magdeberg, however the shooter missed and only wounded the President in the shoulder. He currently is in Magdeberg Medical Center recieving urgent care. Updates on his condition will follow. We can only wait for more information to surface.

Hello Bolonesvia. Today is April 28th, 1956. After the assasination of our great Kanzler, good news and a sigh of relief can be had as William Tovensteiger checked out of the hospital this morning. Martial law still has not been lifted, with a curfew of 8:00 still in effect, the banning of gathering over 5, and soldiers patrolling the streets past 22:00. Elections have gone on as promised, as President Tovensteiger gave the order before being medicated.

As a result, The NDP and ML have secured a majority in the lower house, while the NPF maintain a hold on the higher house. The ML have also won serious in regional elections, with Krisstadt and Heigleberg both having a 95% ML majority. A resolution to have William Tovensteiger take over powers of the fallen Kanzler has been rejected by the NDP, citing a Kanzler must be chosen by the lower house.

The Assasination has gone under heavy investigation of the past 2 days, resulting in serious evidence being found that several NDP members conspired for an assasination plot. Thousands in ML party territory call for justice, stating it as another flaw of the parliamentary system, and that these men will be protected as they are a part of the wealthier members of society. Counter protests are expected from the Far Right, as the assassination has been blamed on minorities within the ML party by the far right.

We come to you today, May 1st, 1956 with shocking news for our republic. 3 region-state governments in the North yesterday have met together in what they call an 'Emergency Commune'. Followingelections in 3 of the twelve Bolonesvian region-states, Marxist-Leninovist Leader Rudolf Salininsk has, under the demand that if 1/3 of the Region-States of Bolonesvia declare one person to be Kanzler in a period of vacancy, they must install him as Kanzler. This demand was rejected by William Tovensteiger and the new NPF-NDP Coalition to prevent further spread of M-L ideals. This has resulted in the 3 Northern Region-states to demand that if Rudolf's demands are not met within 24 hours, they will declare the current government as illegitimate. The government has been said to give the order to begin a small mobilization should the northern states try and keep government forces out. The nation holds its breath, could these tragedies really bring about conflict?

Today, May 4th in the city of Krisstadt, fringe Marxist Leninovist forces attack a government convoy that was patroling the southern suburbs. A bomb detonoated and the rebel forces proceeded to fire upon the convoy, killing 7 soldiers, and wounding two. The group was eliminated once Government forces called in reinforcements. Armed conflict decends on Bolonesvia as martial law is put into effect.

"We will not stand for this rebellion throwing our nation into the jaws of war. I call upon my fellow Bolonesvians to say no to this band of terrorists, They claim to be for the people, what of the 20 Civilians killed in the blast from their bombs. We must bring justice and order to these revolting territories. I understand times are difficult now, but together, we have no need to fear the future. We can create our own."

That was William Tovensteigers speach before the order to raise the nations industrial capacity and gear the nation into total war. He has decided in crisis power, to appoint a Kanzler. Frederick Stolz is chosen from the NDP, causing further infuriations among the ML population. More crisis acts have been drafted to pass in the coming weeks, such as the banning of the M-L Party and all affiliating factions and symbols. The conscription of 2 million men for crisis time and other laws regarding this period of insurrection. Violence among street gangs and roving militias among the Far Right and Left groups as they wait government force responce.

Afternoon, Bolonesvia. Today is May 10th, 1956.

Following the attack on Krisstadt, Martial law continues to affect every life as imports and exports are halted as Government forces restrict all in/out going shipments in order to prevent help from going to the rebels. A blockade has been declared of the northern coasts, with the majority of the Marinewacht stationed in that area in an attempt to help tighten the hold on rebel supplies.

William Tovensteiger announced today the end of the successful campaign on the island states, and that the Government expects order to be resolved soon, with over 20 M-L party leaders captured and imprisoned, awaiting judgement. The declaration that any rebels captured will face their coming judgement should they fail to recant their communist ways. Also, a crisis declaration has been made that any pro-rebel sentiment will be met with imprisonment for treason.

National Sports league games have been suspended in fear of terrorist attacks until after the crisis. Demonstrations against the ML regime continue in non-rebelious territory, following the releasing of images of destroyed Krisstadt. Increased volenteering for the Heer has been reported, increasing by 12% following this as more and more young men being reported to switch party lines to the NDP.

"Today is May 12th, 1956. Following the bloodshed four days ago, government forces continue to press against rebel territories, nothing more than skirmishes here and there. The government continues a no-fly zone over the occupied territory, resulting in 2 civilian airplanes to be shot down. 4 B.45 Bombers were shot down over rebel territory, and all but one pilot was rescued. The remaining pilot was killed in a firefight with rebel scouts who attempted to scavenge the wreckage. Following an emergency meeting between congress, the Kanzler and the President, the "Proclamation of Waedebfel" has been issued. 'This document, if ratified by the congress, makes Catholocism the national religion. It also declares it illegal to place taxes on the church. Other religions will be subject to taxation. The brandishing of any Marxist-Leninovist, Kadikstani, or Socialist paraphenelia or contraband will result in immediate imprisonment' says Government Reporter Yakita Ruzen. A force of soldiers hand picked by Field General Kristoff Matischen of the Military Police will begin serving as advisors for every police force in the nation. They will ensure the national police force works at an efficient *static* Pace. *Static for 3 Min.....* We are sorry, we seem to b...... *Cuts out*

Today, 5/15/1956 marks a great day, as news of success and return of stability from the front continue to pour in. Government Forces make large inroads into the rebelious "Bolonesvian Workers Republic", and following news of international support for the Government coalition, many see it as only a matter of time before peace returns to our great nation. Minor attacks on government forces will no longer be reported. A speach was made by the Kanzler following news of success:

"Today marks a turning point in Bolonesvian History. Today marks the day the nation says no to the evils of communism and rejoices in Gods gift of freedom. I stand before you, asking for you, the people, to make the final push and tell these terrorists and rebels that you will not be bullied into their philosophy. Tell them today, you stand for your nation, not a selfish ideal. And when this crisis is over, I will push for the embargo of the savages to our East. They want to help the rebels and bring death to our nation? I demand, as a civilan of Bolonesvia, that they are punished for their crimes."

The speach continued to highlight the need for a strong military against the Kadikstani threat, and called for an increased power for government in times of crisis.

Bolonesvia Closes Border To Kadikstan​

Good Afternoon, Bolonesvia.

It is May 20th, 1956. We continue to see large crackdowns on socialist sympathy with more arrests being made by police led by "Matischens Recruits". Rebel forces continue to consolidate their hold on Krisstadt. A large group of civilians numbering over 300 people were found attempting to cross over into Leninovist territory, however, more than 100 escaped. Air strikes are continusly held on rebel military positions, with the military commanders now avoiding civilian population center "In order to help the recovery after this crisis and to ensure the safety of our citizens being held hostage in the gastly self proclaimed terrorist state ,,Bolonesvian Workers Republic".

Continued decline in the sale and import of Kadikstani products with the closing of the border, following their accusations of Fascism and Genocide.

"We will not have relations with a nation that continues to brainwash their populace into believing Leninovist Propoganda" William Tovensteiger stated, leaving a meeting between him and the Kanzler in Reigenstadt.

Yet again, Kadikistan stands isolated, as an international parriah, due to its interventionism and hawkish expansionism, in the name of the so called "proletariat". We urge Kadikistan's leadership to abandon this madness before it is too late.

Tovensteiger Almost Killed! Rebels Attack Capital!

Hello, Bolonesvia. Following the attack on our Capital, the President is reported to be safe and sound, suffering no major injuries after Rebel forces attacked both the Capital Building and the Von Schwarzlande Military Base. Only ten civilians were killed in this attack, a gift of mercy our nation has not known in a month. The following day after the attack, William Tovensteiger issued legislation that makes any media depicting the Marxist Leninovist forces a legitimate nation illegal, and all major cities now have inspection checkpoints along all highways to ensure this attack never happens again. He gave a speach the next day on the issue:

"They tried to attack our nation in its heart, and we have told these terrorists that never will the streangth of our nation break. I wish to speak about our lost Minister, and his duty to our nation....." "Now, let us speak once more about this crisis. These Rebels in our north continue to fight the will of the people, yet call themselves of the people. My fellow citizens currently held hostage by the "Leninovist" Brutes. Do not fret. Continue to disrupt their way of life, for it is not only against you and your country, but God himself. They reject freedom of religion and wish to see the Katolische Kirche destroyed! I will now use this time to make a statement for the world. Recognition of the Workers Republic of Bolonesvia will be treated as a severing of nations and a threat to our national security and will be dealt with as such. Furthermore, support of these rebels, following the continued lack of care for civilian lives will be treated as supporting a genocidal regime in the eyes of the international community.
