Borovangen-Serenien Security Summit.

The Serenien Government had extended an invitation to their Borovangen counterparts, at this summit Security Minister Leopoldo Suarez and his Serenien counterpart would meet in Villesen to discuss the recent spate of political unrest in Borovanger. The sudden prominence of the Ortegists in Borovangers political landscape had worried many in the two nations.


Leopoldo Suarez stepped out of the car and prepared himself for the challenge ahead, he had only recently been promoted to the Ministry and this would be his first meeting with a foreign power.

The Commissar for Internal Security spoke first after all the pleasantries were exchanged: "The presence of Ortegan fascists once more in Gallia is incredibly alarming to us and to the memory of our Martyrs. I hope that is conveyed to the Confederal Government clearly. The Republique Populaire is absolutely unwilling to see Borovanger return to that mess that Serenierre rescued it from. The Premier has stated in official meetings of the Politburo that we will cooperate fully and extensively to challenge this new threat."

" yes the situation is quite intolerable and while my government is resolved to prevent the rise of fascism in Borovanger there are other elements to consider, firstly although the public will support a stand against fascism any attempt to curtail civil liberties will be immensely unpopular and given the scandal in Albacente the current government lacks a clear majority in the National Congress. As such we are in an unfortunate position we must act to crush the Restauración Nacional while not appearing totalitarian and we cannot risk the Ortegists gaining the moral victory". "However we must act or rather we must been seen to act and if the Restauración Nacional were to force our hand by if say shooting at a visiting Serenien dignitary and off course miss, then the full force of Serenierre could be brought to pass and our government would be powerless to resist. Of course the First Minister would publicly protest and demand you respect our sovereignty but privately" at this he gave a Gallic shrug " privately we would be indebted to you, after all Restauración Nacional would be crushed, the government would be strengthened and the First Minister's popularity would grow as the public see him stand up to Serenierre.
But of course Suarez thought they'll be wondering what they get out of all this, after all.
" Of course the Government has been planning to open up certain sectors of the economy for foreign investment, Serenien companies would be given priority when it comes to bidding. But of course my government is open to negotiation".
