A 20-ish year old man sitting in his apartment is flipping channels till he arrives at the RNN channel with a video feed of König Wilhelm Wächtler IV giving a speech outside of his Blauer Palast, he stops and leans in curious to hear what he has to say.

"The world is gripped with fear of war once more, we shall let it spread no more to our lands so long as I can help it. We urge all foreign powers to remain neutral and provide only humanitarian aide to those suffering in Crotobaltislavonia, this is not our fight to fight. We must stop with this senseless violence to establish a government in favor of our ideals." He paused to regain his composure, "They are the makers of their own fate, it is not our place to dictate what they say and do, how they govern themselves, we are not the master of their fate. We as a government and a people, shall remain neutral in the conflict that is bubbling over in our world."

He sat there, kind of flabbergasted, kind of indifferent, but he switched to to the next channel showcasing some old cartoons and he forgot whatever was just said by the König and sat watching some old cartoons from his childhood.

Chancellor Laufer delivers speech on the CBS Trivodnian Situation

"With the new year comes for many a time of joy and new starts, but for many in the East (Gallo-Germania) they live in fear of death and war. With news reaching the public about the recent movement of Xinhese troops into Kadikistani territory and Kadikistani troops moving into Crotobaltislavonia and forcefully removing people and ousting any resistance threatening the Farrago Regime. The new year is also a time for new beginnings, and we can all agree it is a time to begin peace. We have devoted ourselves to spreading the ideals of peace to those who seem to have forgotten and risk plunging the world into conflict, but there is hope they have heard not just our pleas of peace. But, from many across the globe. With many nations agreeing to attend a peace conference in the hopes of resolving the conflict in the East, we can only pray that these issues are resolved and war is averted."

Just a snippet from a speech given by Chancellor Amelia Laufer on January 2nd, this particular snippet is from later on in the speech after discussing internal affairs and giving seasons greetings. Reports have stated that Geotrian officials have accepted an invitation to the peace conference as a neutral third party with the hopes that a fair deal can be made between the parties in question.

Racing Season to be Biggest Of All Time!

The Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb, the oldest race in Geotri, is set to start in mid-April according to a statement made by CEO Henry Vonhof this morning. Early reports have stated that the racing commercials have reached record views, "The hype this year is immense, and we will try our best to not fail their expectations," CEO Henry Vonhof said.

The Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb is a stock car race that has been around for decades, and is arguably the most popular one in Geotri. NVSC, the company in charge of all the races in Geotri, is also the host of several other races including the Geotrian Formula Three Championship and Formula One Championship. Both of these will start before the Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb season is over.

As fans of motorsport and especially stock car racing, the Alexandras Foreign Advisory Board, as the commonly contracted voice of the Alexandran Community would like to formally profess our excitement for the new season of the Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb, and would like to assure the CEO, Henry Vonhof, that he has made fans out of a lot of Alexandrans in the years past.

Because of this, and due to the unfortunate state of many foreign broadcasting deals within Alexandras at the moment, we would humbly ask the people of Geotri and especially the companies who see fit to show the Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb, if they would be willing to work with the Alexandran Community to better our television infrastructure? It would be a shame to miss such an exciting race simply due to signal complications.

The NVSC has contracts with several local television networks and has a critical deal with the GSN, Geotrian Sports Network, to create a subsidiary company within Alexandras to manage and increase the television infrastructure. With this they will also provide other televised sports and can televise sports within Alexandras. I hope that this deal is approved of by the Alexandran Community, and we that we will continue good spirit between us.

The Winter Games and Other Sports!

With the Stephanitic Organizing Committee having invited the world to attend the games hosted in Gunnland, the world is once more excited to watch the athletes compete in winter sports. The first nations have submitted their rosters to the committee and many more are expected to submit their rosters soon. These are however not the only sports being hyped up in Geotri, with the Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb still set to start in the mid-April.

This is not the only good news, the GSN has secured a deal with Alexandras to increase television infrastructure and to create a subsidiary company to manage and expand televised sports hosted within the country. The GSN has stated that the subsidiary company will be run and employed by Alexandrians, for Alexandras.

A Bloody Anniversary

Two days ago was the 61st anniversary of the Fascist take over, which for many led to execution and fleeing the country. The regime lead by Adolf Schmied was extremely tyrannical and abusive within the first few months of rule, however as time progressed and their power cemented they began to work wonders for those who remained. Leading to an extreme economic boom and an increase of standard of living, was seen for many as generally prosperous times. However, those who fled were barred reentry up until the dissolution of the Fascist Regime. While the Regime was generally effective in running and managing the government its legacy was stained for the complete murder of the Communist Party and Left-Leaning Party and the execution of its leaders and imprisonment of its followers. With many fleeing the country it is difficult to know how many were murdered but an estimated 1,245 bodies were found, with only 12 being announced by the government. Many were carried off into a dark alley by police and executed, dumped into a river with weights attached to their feet, or died in prison. The Regime may have been responsible for economic upturn, but at what price did this come at?

A Dangerous Season
​

West of the city of Brakw is a dangerous territory during this time of year, it is a "Dry season" in this spot of Geotri that is prone for wild and dangerous wildfires. These wildfires have been known to last from anywhere from a few days to months and have taken countless lives, but fire fighters this year have taken extreme preemptive measures to ensure the safety of those living in this region. By creating smaller, manageable fires in the driest of areas it significantly reduces the threat of the larger wildfires, which usually come once a season. These areas are naturally doing this so as to replace dead and dying plant-life with the fires, to allow the seedlings to grow and replace old vegetation. By doing this in the driest areas first, areas that have the oldest and most decayed plant-life, it continues the cycle of much needed rebirth that is essential to the ecosystem in the area.

Bill 22030

Bill 22030, proposed this Monday, is a bill that will seek to improve the current state of the healthcare system. Currently several hospitals are reported to be either understaffed or closing down, due to patients not repaying hospital bills. The Bill proposes a repayment option for those who have been treated at a healthcare clinic or hospital. It also proposes more scholarships for medical students, to encourage and promote the medical industry to Geotrian citizens. The lack of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals has substantially lessened the quality of healthcare in Geotri, especially in the poorer and more rural areas. Currently the bill is sitting in the Unterhaus waiting for a vote.

The Golden Touch
​

After much anticipation the first Gold Medal is awarded to Elsa Teschner for her peak performance in the Women's Biathlon! With much anticipation for Geotrian's to see the Gold many have spent the day celebrating in local pubs and bars and it is well deserved. Currently being the nation with the lowest amount of medals in the entire competition many have felt that their athletes have "Let us down," a statement made by a local citizen. Many hope that the remaining sports will be more in favor for Geotrian athletes than the previous.

New Satellite launch set for 12th of March
​

GRfA has announced its plans to launch a new satellite, the Space Experiment and Technology Research Vessel (or SETRV,) for March 12th. The purpose for this new satellite is to continue to test and experiment in an environment lacking an atmosphere, to better prepare for the well anticipated Moon Landing set for 2023.

With the last competition set for tomorrow, one our team did not advance on, our athletes can finally rest. Our athletes put their best forth, but their best was not enough to compete against the heavy-weights Eiffelland and the Kadikistan Union. Our athletes efforts were not in vain, with Henry Weisner earning the Bronze Medal, Angela Schildkraut and the Men's Curling team earning Silver Medals, and Elsa Teschner earning the nations only Gold Medal in the competitions.

While we did not have the best medal count, our athletes gave the competition a run for their money.

SETRV Launch Successful
​

The SETRV Satellite successfully launched yesterday and has started its process into reaching the optimal orbit to conduct experiments. The experiments, as outlined by a public accessible memo, are set to test the a variety of things including the gravity of space and how it can effect our astronauts.

The GRfA after the successful launch and the satellite exiting the atmosphere began popping Burgundian Champagne and celebrating the success. The excitement in the room, and in living rooms around the country were astound. Geotri's ventures into space have been few and far between, however they prove to be stepping stones to bettering our understanding of space and the eventual goal of reaching the Moon.

Racing Season Finishing it's Final Preparations

With the Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb set to start in a little over two weeks, the fans excitement is at its peak. With commercials on all major airwaves in Geotri advertising the Race, it is hard for people to miss it. With fan-favorites Robin Ganser #13 and Felix Hauffe #24 expected to place high as well as newcomer Axel Franke #77 expected to make waves in the upcoming races. With the 6 standard races, including the famous Hoppingen Motor Speedway, and 45 race spots. The Qualifying rounds will be set to begin 2 days before each race, half the racers on one day, and the other half the other day. So be ready to strap in and start your engines April 12th for the first race of a record breaking season!

Bi-Annual Budgetary Meeting
​

The Bi-Annual Budgetary Meeting is set to take place next week, where both the Unterhaus and Uberhaus shall debate and vote on the budget for the next two years. During this time parties will look at records of the past two years and how each of the Ministries have fared and whether or not they need and increase of funds as well as several economists being present to estimate the state of the economy for the next two years to see what the government is able to spend. Many things may change such as quality of education, public transit wait times, military enlistment rates, foreign aid, and taxes. The debates are expected to last a week as each party within the Unterhaus will attempt to use their influence and agenda to get certain programs funded and others underfunded. Expect more details as we reach closer to the Budgetary Meeting.

Start Your Engines!

Qualifying laps for the Auto-Rennen-Wettbewerb start today at 1500 on NESN 1 and 2, with Felix Hauffe #24 being the first car to start qualifying. But people have shown up a whole week in advance to tailgate, cook food, and set up trailers to prepare themselves for one of the most exciting seasons in the races history. With the first stadium, located in Wettendurf, has already reported that the stadium is sold out! And several other stadiums are reported to be close to sold out if not already sold out, like Hoppingen Motor Speedway having sold out weeks before this upcoming race. Many sponsors have increased the funding put into the races for this season and as a result the stadiums are fully staffed and have the latest technology to work with, making the experience fun and safe for everyone. CEO Henry Vonhof of the NVSC has stated that, "This season will undoubtedly be the most financially successful and most entertaining to watch." The Wettendurf Speedway is set at 400 laps and will last an expected 3 and a half hours, so be prepared and bring plenty of snacks because this season is one you don't want to miss.

And The Dust Settles!

After 400 laps and over 3 hours later the winner of the first race of the Auto-Rennen-Wettberwerb was Manfred Lehr #54 followed closely by Axel Franke #77 and Robert Ganser #13. With many fans of Felix Hauffe #24 disappointed with his placement in 13th, but many were exceedingly surprised with Axel Franke's placement in second. No crashes were caused disappointing many including a few of our writers and editors, but that also means there were no injuries reported and the season will continue on to the next race is set for April 22nd at the Brakw Motor Speedway. So stay tuned and be prepared for the next race!

The Season of a Lifetime Nears the Finish Line
​

With all but the last race finished and Axel Franke #77, Felix Hauffe #24, and Niklas Bendel #43 tied in points this last race will determine the victor of the Championship. Points are determined by placement at the end of the race, with first place getting 45 points and second getting 44 and so on and so forth. The Hoppingen Motor Speedway will have 400 laps and will be set for the 1st of May, qualifying laps have already finished and the initial placements are set.

And a Winner is Crowned

With the points tallied and the last race finished, we have a winner and it is was a close one. Felix Hauffe #24 barely edged out Axel Franke #77 in the final race and placed in 3rd in the race and 1st overall and was given the ARW 2018 Trophy and 1 Million Moches as well as the possibility of more sponsorships. With this amazing win by newcomer Felix Hauffe, many were ecstatic with his victory, while fans of Axel Franke had their nights ruined by this race. But, regardless of the winners of the races one thing is certain, the NVSC has recorded record breaking viewings and revenue. Sponsors of the race and of the drivers have also recorded an increase in sales.

Joint Military Exercises in Gunnland
​

With plans finalized in December to conduct a Joint Military Exercise in Ruritania, a region in Southern Gunnland, and recently gone public with this information to the public. Few within the government have criticized this move calling it, "A potential unbalancing of the region," with tensions now rising in Central Gallo-Germania with the passing of former President for Life Raoul Farrago in CBS and a bout of intense diplomatic tensions between Gunnland and Eiffelland. However, military leadership calls this move a, "An effective means to practice and train in new environment, with the rise in tensions around the continent we must be able to adapt and fight in new territory."

Reports from the military state that two Geotrian Combined Arms Brigades and will accompany Gunnish Army Division III and conduct wargames for a period of slightly less than a week. The military has not provided much other details and has stated that, "This is a due training that needed to be performed, and would have been conducted either alone or with the assistance of a foreign force. July of this year is when we will conduct the KS4, which will involve all branches of our military. In the past we have conducted this alone but we may invite other nations to participate, which will hopefully lead to more effective leadership and well trained soldiers."

While the Free State of Trivodnia understands the logic behind closer ties between Geotri and Gunnland, we must caution that Windhaven has consistently acted in a way that is against our shared interests by collaborating with the Raoul Farrago regime in Crotobaltislavonia and its Kadikistani backers.

The Gunnish government has also helped peddle anti-Semitic propaganda of an international anti-Catholic Jewish conspiracy, which has led to Trivodnia being subject to vicious attacks and outright slander.

We hope Geotri takes this all into account when considering its next steps.

We understand the concern with our cooperation with the Gunnish, but with a change of leadership and the return of Queen Julian their former rhetoric should change and their stance on CBS and the Kadikistani Union should also have shifted from prior. Much of their rhetoric in past was concerning to some within our borders as well, and such actions are not to be taken lightly. However, things have changed within their government and new faces now represent their people.

Trivodnia is often subject to slander and ridicule, being forced into being the scapegoat for many powers. We ourselves have been subjected to this ourselves for many years, and we sympathize and apologize for all the wrongdoings that have befell on your fine nation. But, people will always find ways to blame others and this thought has grown over the years. We can only hope that people will take ownership and stop the needless blame and slander of others.
