THE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, 122 KARLSTAD STREET,
Charleroi, Clarion, C.R.S., 35322-2334

CONFIDENTIAL

Sylvania has watched the events and politics of the Long Sea with great interest and has seen how the forces of Pohjanmaa and the Anti-State have sent the rotten Old World imperialists into a hapless frenzy and now that the Kadiki behemoth awakes from its slumber they quietly quake in their boots. The Long Sea will continue to hold us all hostage unless we find new ways of sending trade goods to our friends and allies. With the Northern Passage Canal reopened and widened we are able to accommodate even the largest ocean going container ships and military vessels available. Built primarily for the transfer of Sylvanian cargo and warships from Thaumantic and Silk Seas we hope to turn this corridor into an alternative to the Long Sea for the Northern hemisphere.

Sylvanians have admired post-delegationism for some time now, to them and to the people who now are in office, it is the representation of the limited government that the Federalists have always wished to achieve but have been thwarted by the realities of our situation. With Rygaard's death and the election of the militaristic nationalists that gave way to the Democratic Socialists we have found our country filled with government overreach and bloat. Instead of being for the people the Democratic Socialists looked to exploit and enslave Sylvanians to the thought of the all encompassing state. The Breckenridge administration seeks to reverse this and wishes to invite post-delegationist scholars to visit the universities of Sylvania and perhaps inject a fresh perspective to our people.

Being mostly naive in the ways of war we would also wish to invite naval officers involved in Pohjanmaa's silent service to instruct at the Naval Academy of Whitehall, to reciprocate we would allow for students of Pohjanmaa and perhaps the Anti-State to attend. We understand that military strategy can be a closely guarded secret and do not expect this to happen over night. It is our feeling that as the foremost in the effort for spreading freedom to all people, a goal we also wish to attain, that working together to better each other can only be a net positive.

Liberty's Greetings,

The Anti-State shares the Continental Republic's analysis regarding the Long Sea. It is a hotbed of old world bravado, of dying empires that seek to cling to what is left of their declining relevance in a new world that is increasingly confusing them every day. Even at dusk, these disoriented remnants can threaten peace by dragging down others with them in a cathartic flush. For reasons of practicality and for the sake of continued support we plan on providing to our friends and allies in the Gallo-Germanian region that continue to rely on us for upholding the balance of power, the Anti-State cannot entirely abandon the Long Sea and leave it to the devices of these reckless gerontocracies. The events of the last few months have shown us however that increased diversification of the lifelines of our free territories will be crucial. As such, I am authorized to report that the Northern Passage Canal as one of these vectors is of interest to the Dictator, and we are keen to discuss concrete steps with your government regarding plans from which Sylvania and the free peoples of the North and East likewise stand to profit.

We will also more than happily forward to our intellectual and academic community the invitation to Sylvanian universities, and I am personally confident that many individuals will be willing to lecture or engage in debates in your country that will further the understanding of our often misrepresented unique path to democracy. May I suggest also - though this will certainly be something our colleagues in Pohjanmaa will be able to expand more upon - that given the geographic proximity of the Continental Republic to the Commonwealth and a shared history and cultural bond, a particularly intensive exchange of ideas might be explored with these free people, for the implementation of post-delegationist democracy in the Scanio-Westernesse context might be enlightening and relatable to young students, not to say conductive to a general broadening of mutual trust and peaceful respect among neighbors.

Free citizens on either side of the planet only stand to profit from an intensification of cooperation, trade and intellectual exchange. The end of your sorrows, the thwarting of the socialist designs on the Far West, are a signal fire in the long night of tyranny: It can happen here. As free men and women, we must stand on guard against tyrannic despotism, revisionist Marxism and other ills that would seek to befall our societies that stand as precarious last bastions of the Res Publica in a world in crisis.

Katalin Faraday,

The Ulkoministeriö is pleased to receive your message. Our world suffers from tyranny. A problem as old as time, the philosophers of the world gave humanity the means to combat tyranny: democracy, republic, and post delegationism. These tools represent a manner of which we may transcend the limitations imposed upon our free will. Liberty is a cause worth suffering for, and the Free Folk of the North locked in brotherhood with the Free Folk of the East work against the tyrants of the Loong Sea and hope to expand freedom of the seas to all peoples.

News of the reopening of the Northern Passage Canal is good news for commercial and military passage. With your permission, this passage way will lessen the burden imposed by Loong Sea politics. This does not mean our commitment to our allies and free folks in the Loong Sea will be abandoned. The responsibilities of the Free Navy are taken seriously, and will continue to work in the region until a lasting peace is reached.

Admiration of post delegationist theory is a welcome sight, and coupled after the Sylvanian period of darkness, it can only represent a light at the end of the tunnel. This light is a torch, and the flame of education is something that enriches souls both young and old. It is my pleasure to tell you that professors from the University of Haaga will tour Sylvania to meet with your university faculty across your nation. It is our hope that some day an exchange system can be established for students in university in both of our regions.

On the topic of military guidance, Pohjanmaan Naval Attachés are more than willing to visit, inspect, and help guide the future of the Sylvanian Navy at the Naval Academy of Whitehall. Coordination with the Anti-State will be made in due time.

It is the hope of the Inhabitants of Pohjanmaa that this can be the beginning of ever closer ties between our peoples. It would bring ourselves great hope for the future should our Presidents be able to meet in the near future. Some day in the near future it may be that we can regard the Sylvanian people as the Free Folk of the West.

No doubt further cooperation will be profitable for our three nations, Soumenmaa and Touzen will be provided priority access after the needs of Sylvanian trade and military vessels are met, your nations will also be provided preferred pricing for access to Northern Passage Canal. Let us not limit ourselves to trade lanes and cultural and military information exchanges. In a world were polarization divides and nations speak of tariffs let our nations show the world what free trade can do. While the Domain interferes in Gallia and destabilizes markets with war and cheap labor let our nations be a beacon for stability. While insular religious fanatics build empire let us reaffirm our commitment to democracy and republicanism. While empires dismantle their institutions to whore themselves out to the ones they admire let us stay the course and double down on our ideals. It is important that we do the things that protect freedom even if our paths have not started at the same point ideologically.

It is the intention of the Breckrenridge administration to invite President Lepomäki and Dictator Hayabusa to engage in high level talks with the Continental Republic on matters of trade, defense, cultural exchange and ultimately our place in the world as freedom loving nations. We offer to meet in the comfortable confines of the executive mansion, Cairnwood House, in Charleroi however we are open to meeting in either Touzen or Soumenmaa should it be desired. We hope that this will blossom into a more fruitful relationship that will be the envy of the world.

In friendship,

Katalin Faraday,

The Ulkoministeriö is pleased to continue to receive your correspondence. We continue to appreciate the Sylvanian hospitality and friendship in regards to mutual cooperation and economic affairs. Your invitation to Kaarlekungingas (Charleroi/Karlstad) and the Cairnwood House is warm and accepted.

It is our hope that talks at Kaarlekungingas will foster the harmony required to bring our people together for important tri-lateral agreements that would allow for increased commerce, better freedoms for our peoples, and greater security in the Thaumantic, Imparlian, and Loong Sea regions.

Liberty's Greetings,

Dictator Hayabusa will be ready to come to Charleroi in the suggested format, to discuss these matters of fundamental shared concern between our polities. It is time for the freedom-loving peoples of the world to disperse of notions of timidity, while the enemies of freedom, those that would prey upon their neighbors, are dictating the everyday agenda of our world. It was precisely this vision of a free world, willing and able to act, united behind a common course, that steered the Dictator to take charge of the Revolution - as such it will be his pleasure to see through the success of a gathering in which this vision is held in high regard, a gathering which is hoped to merely be the beginning of a series of contacts strengthening the links between all democracies. Your hospitality and eage readiness to host this occasion are highly appreciated and Dictator Hayabusa would be honored to be your guest.
