09 January 2020
To the Honorable Leaders of the Gallian States,

I write to you all today on behalf of the President of the Republic, Bartolome Ordenes, in the spirit of constructing a pathway for the Gallian continent to enjoy a period of peace, cooperation, and economic prosperity.

Gallia is a continent rich with centuries of history with each of our countries collectively representing and retelling the story of hundreds of millions of people through the ages. As much as the nations of Gallia have been a beacon of culture, advancement, and civility they have nonetheless engaged in activity contrary to these values. Gallia has been at peace for as long as it has been in periods of strife and war. While Germania unifies under the Holy Tiburan Empire, the Northern Realms under the Democratic Defense Initiative, and the east of Germania under the power of Ivar; Gallia remains fragmented and at odds.

In the wake of the fall of Bourgogne, for whatever blessings are brought by the new governments forged by the consent of the Burgundian people or to the Aurarine Republic’s journey to undo the damage of a dictator, to the economic stagflation affecting others, it remains never clearer that while our nations are distinct, sovereign, and separate from one another - all of the continent stands to gain from cooperation and agreement amongst us.

In the spirit of renewal brought on by the New Year and in reflection that the strife that has plagued the continent in the past needn’t find its way into the next decade, the Aurarine Republic formally invites representatives from each of the Gallian Nations to a summit in the City of Navales to begin a dialogue on affairs that affect the continent and set ourselves on a path for peace and prosperity.

Undoubtedly the decision to have dialogue, to build bridges as opposed to walls, to extend hands as opposed to arms, will secure our countries’ futures. The Republic eagerly awaits the reply of its fellow Gallian nations.

All the best,

Ministry of Foreign Affairs
To the attention of the Aurarian Foreign Office
Although recent history has turned Friulians away from Gallia, The Grand Duchy of Furlanìe recognizes the common cultural heritage that we share, and the history that has, and still does today, bind us together.
The Friulian government will therefore participate to this meeting, in the hope of reconnecting with the Gallian partners, and foster peace and stability in its neighbourhood.
I will be the Friulian representative, and will eagerly await this historic opportunity.

The Government of Serenierre formally accepts the invitation of the Republique Aurarie.

Premier Martinique is happy to see her foreign policy doctrine being recognised in Auraria as the need of the hour. The importance of regional cooperation and economic collaboration is the most vital aspect of the modern era.

Neighbors and the Honorable Alcides Cabello,

In the name of Her Imperial and Royal Majesty Mainois Empress and Queen of Tyskonia Marie-Charlotte of the House of Hohensee, the Duchy of Montagne and the Duchy of Louisiane-Maine will be in attendance as the participants as part of the Confederation of Petits-Pays. These duchies though a small part of Gallia on the Island of Maine will be most joyously excited to engage in detente and the general peace craft.

Furthermore, on behalf of Her Imperial and Royal Majesty, she wishes that I convey that the Kingdom of Tyskonia does not see itself part of Gallia, though closely related due to its general northerly proximity and by all geographical accounts bound to it. It sees itself as part of the Gothic Sea region, and furthermore culturally Gothic or even Germanian. However, should any concerns in relation to it arise, the representatives from Petits-Pays will stand proxy to its interests under the Crown which has governed Petits-Pays for roughly 300 years with the interests of Gallia at heart.

While, the advance of Socialism in Gallia has been obviously clear, it is our expectation that this does not represent a problem of security to the collective duchies. So that we may engage in common Gallian company in peace and harmony, it is expected that the sovereignty of Petits-Pays continue to be respected. Thus, we hope to make obvious our intentions in attendance. The harmonious exchange of goods and services between the Gallian nations, and a continued agreement of collective non-interference from non-Gallian states, the complex relationship of our continued Imperial and Royal realm excepted. It is our hope that union of diplomats be

OOC: And now I am wondering whether Lars and I are part of Gallia or not. Or should we be considered Tiburan with me being Western-Germanian as well?

EDIT: @Lars

11 January 2020
The Honorable Jean-Louis Laurent
Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs
The Confederation of Petits-Pays
Hertha, Tyskonia

In no uncertain terms it will be the honor of the Aurarine Republic, and indeed President Ordenes, to welcome Queen Marie-Charlotte as representative from Petits-Pays at the Gallian Summit.

Undoubtedly, the border and boundary of Gallia has always been a topic of academic work with no clear, universally accepted answer ever finding itself presented. Despite whatever interpretation of this boundary exists - even the one accepted by the Confederation of Petits-Pays or the Aurarine Republic - it is the accepted policy of the Republic in regards to this Summit to construct a forum with which nations of the region have the opportunity to engage in open dialogue about the affairs of the continent and the future it should pursue. To that end, there is no reason to spend energy on determining the geographic qualification for the Confederation and rather the Republic is humbled at the Queen's interest.

The Republic also reiterates the concern of respect in that the differing, historically competing, ideologies of Gallia are not to be in any way concerned a bar of entry. The idea of the Gallian Summit is not to promote one economic nor political system over another. Gallia is built on centuries of history with varying ideological and cultural thought - this is to be celebrated and respected, not viewed with animosity and distrust. The point of the Summit is to share in Gallia's divesity as its strength.

To that end, my Office will begin making preparations for the Queen's arrival and I will connect you with the proper authorities.

All the best,

OOC: I think @Lars and @Eiffelland could make an argument on proximity to be able to attend, but that is your choice. Auraria, at least, won't be a stickler on strict definitions of Gallia's border.

We understood that the summit in Navale is open to any nation who can be considered in or close to Gallia. Given our proximity to Gallia, which makes that major events in Gallia have consequences in Eiffelland-Retalia and vice versa, we would like to send a delegation as well. The delegation will consist of a.o. myself, as well as Louis Duc de Chambéry, Extraordinary Ambassador of the Francophone minority in Eiffelland-Retalia with the rank of Minister.

Gianluigi di Gravesano-Carone, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Italophone minority in Eiffelland-Retalia

OOC: On second thought, maybe it would be wise if I attend.
