TO: Shigeru Kato, Officer of Revolutionary Defence and State Relations, Noora Lepomäki, President of the Commonwealth of Pohjanmaa AND Quyen Kiệt Ân Sơn, Director of Minh Hải
FROM: Cyrus Black, Minister of External Affairs of the Federation of Natal
Subject: Building Bridges for Democracy
TOP SECRET
Your excellencies,
I believe that my colleagues from the Organisation of Democratic States, have made it clear to you about the current situation by forwarding to the Democratic Defence Initiative the report on the meeting with the authorities from Grau. We started that said meeting with deep concern, as the Furlan diplomatic corps is known for its hotheadedness and lack of tact, and as we expected, our representative and general-secretary of the organisation was insulted repeatedly during the meeting, it did not bring quite what we expected, but the promise of a non-aggression pact, should the ODS member states vote for it and the Furlan entry into the common market, again, should the ODS member states vote for it.
I for one, write you this letter for two reasons. First and foremost, is to write to you as a warning. I do this as Natal sees you as brothers in democracy as we are too in the southern hemisphere and we share probably more common elements in our political culture and traditions than we can possibly ever think of antagonistic elements between our nations. I must state that in the meeting between the General Secretary and the Fulans, the latter did propose some sort of alliance between the ODS and them, which would be targeted against the DDI. At the same time, we believe that besides trying to drive an edge only between the ODS and DDI, we observed that the Furlans were trying to drive and edge between Sylvania too from the rest of the DDI, seeing the greater Anti-State and the Commonwealth of Pohjanmaa as the the greatest threats to stability and peace, describing them as nothing more nor less than "the anarchic hordes to the far east and far north". Probably what is even more problematic not only for the DDI and its efforts to keep the Long Sea open, but to Natal too as we struggle to push forward the issue of decolonisation, only to see that Pelasgia is pushing a colonial agenda in the lands of the Kintu and Keke peoples, what they call the Pelasgian Himyari Far Southern Territories. Pelasgia is actively following a policy of settlement in those lands, with now over a million Pelasgians already living in there, compared to barely three million natives. What concerns us the most, is how the Furlans can so easily ignore this and call Pelasgia openly in front of us, a 'brotherly' nation, directly insulting every Nethian in Himyar with such statements, and any man all over the globe with a dram of dignity and aspirations for a better world.
Secondly, we write this to show our belief that we see the future of Europe a bright one in which the self determination of the peoples of the world is what drives us forward, together with democracy, liberty and freedom to pursue their dreams and their happiness. We cannot accept seeing so many regimes around the world playing around bullying smaller and weaker peoples, be them Kintu nethians from the southern fringes of Himyar, Yamalians in the frigid High North of Kadikistan or Yiddish refugees in Crotobaltislavonia. Natal, is a nation that is built upon the mutual respect of all its citizens and non-citizens, as it is one of the nations that have received with warm hands some of the biggest number of refugees in the past two years. Through it's Inkundla e-gov system, Natal has adopted a limited form of direct democracy upon which we work tirelessly to improve and extend.
We share many common features in our economies, politics and aspirations for the future, and for that, the Federation would like to be a part of the bring future we hope to build, but first and foremost, building a series of metaphorical friendship bridges between Camp Hill, Ullanlinna, Shinkyo and Diệu Kinh. We will wish to begin a series of political and economic cooperation initiatives, which would culminate in a first phase with a series of Friendship Treaties and from there continue in developing the unity and friendship of the peoples of the Anti-State, Natal, Pohjanmaa and Minh Hải.
Signed and Sealed

The Commonweath of Pohjanmaa is appreciative of the efforts of the ODS. We welcome this message from the Federation of Natal and its desire for better understanding and coordination between our democratic peoples. It the the opinion of the inhabitants of Pohjanmaa that such cooperation would be of benefit for the establishment of common policy in both foreign and economic matters.

Pohjanmaa is more than willing to begin this discourse as soon as possible; however, it cannot commit to any agreement in conjunction with all parties involved. We can however commit to a bi-lateral agreement, and will do out utmost to ensure a broader agreement that is amenable to all parties.

It is the belief of Pohjanmaa that the pursuit of an anti-colonial stance that is solidified in a more global fashion with common policy ought to be reviewed and adopted by our collective governments if possible.

Yestäväallisesti,
