Nation prepares for Midterm elections. Coyotes and Roadrunners go head to head

• Rabid Coyotes take the forefront in many of the colleges
• Nationwide Roadrunners and Coyotes are very close
• OHP's approval rate has only gone down since her initial election

As the Natalian Midterm elections approach, not only Westernesse but also WOTO and world wide nations are turning their heads towards Natal, as it is believed that those elections will change the policies of the Occidental Republic, depending on who manages to win the majority in the Congress, be them the Coyotes or the Roadrunners. The government in Camp Hill has received quite a lot of criticism recently, because Olivia Harper Poole has built a policy of appeasement towards the Tarusan Empire, some hoping that in such way, she will end up dividing the Pressburg allies, turning the HFE and Justosia from Kremlyov, but she received extreme criticism from other democratic nations such as the Scanlaw and Tianlong.

Many believe that the current midterm elections put her and her policies to the test, as the Rabid Coyotes, are condemning OHP for her appeasement, something that both the Roadrunners are doing too, leaving the Coyotes two great enemies, the rival party and an emerging new generation within their very own, who holds ideological unity closer to the heart. It is believed that while in some colleges both Coyotes and Rabid Coyotes are running, it will truly be the test for OHP's foreign policy.

Approval ratings have been steadily going down for Olivia Harper Poole. Historically elected as one of the best supported presidents of the nation, with a starting approval of nearly 80%, by the middle of her term she is nearing 50%. It is an extreme fall, but many analysts have stated that it can be observed that by midterms, most presidents get the nations divided roundly in two halves, "either love them or hate them".

Asher James Becker, vice president and the leader of the Rabid Coyotes has criticised many times Olivia Harper Poole and her positions, and many see him as her main rival, even if they both actually rose up in politics by cooperating and working together. While he has stated that democratic states should be aided, he is the one who blocked the passage of 15 billion Natalian Dollars in aid towards Zara, preferring to flush them to the WOTO budget.

"We worked a lot to keep Gallo-Germania peaceful, because a peaceful Gallo-Germania means a peaceful Thaumantic and that means a peaceful Occidentia-Westernesse," stated Olivia Harper Poole, but it is clear by now that the rising criticism she receives come from people who see the Natalian politics not as working for peace, but rather selling out any Gallo-Germanian resistance to Tarusa.

"We aren't a a shithole empire. We as politicians are here because we have a mandate from the people, who wield the real power. If the people of Natal consider the current positioning to be against their will, they will vote OHP out and go for others. If they support her, they will cement her domination of the congress and will vote classic coyotes over rabid ones or roadrunners," stated Asher James Becker.

The Roadrunners have preferred to stay away from the foreign policies, especially Gallo-Germania, stating that they will go for closer relations with Westernesse and Toyou nations.

WHITAKER RECALLED: The Natalian representative to the European Forum, Sebastian Whitaker has been recalled back to Camp Hill for consultations. As of yet, no representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has cared to comment, and it is unknown as of yet when he will return back to Frescania. There has also been no diplomat sent to replace him. Some analysts commented that the Natalian vacancy in the EF will last until the midterm elections.

Roadrunners take control of the Citizen Assembly in Midterm election victory

• Coyotes keep the governorship in many states​
• Senate is evenly divided​
• Roadrunners take control of the Citizen Assembly in an upset victory​

The results for the Midterm elections in the Commonwealth are officially in, and it seems to have been a much needed victory for the Roadrunners, who are again in the political game, after Natalian politics has been thoroughly dominated on all levels by the Coyotes in the last 7 years. Last weekend's midterm elections brought an end to the Coyote domination, which had a majority in the Senate, which represents the states, in the Citizens' Assembly, the lower house and in the executive, which is represented by the presidency.

The results, were made official by the Federal Electoral Board, and have been surpising for many, as it returned the Roadrunners (Country Party) into the forefront of the Commonwealth's politics, giving them a majority in the Citizens' Assembly, followed by the Coyotes (Progressive Federal Party), the Ferrets, officially known as the Natalian Communist Party, the Cougars, officially known as the Western Liberal Union and the Shrews, officially known as the Neo-Tiburan Front. Out of the 850 seats of the Citizens' Assembly, the Roadrunners managed to take 400, the Coyotes - 378, the Ferrets - 30, the Cougars - 20, and the Shrews a mere 12. This means that while the Coyotes did lose the supermajority they enjoyed, losing 47 seats, the Roadrunners don't fully control the house, and negotiations will be needed for every law that is to be voted upon for it to be passed.

In the Senate, everything was much more stable, but the upper house too has seen some changes. Both the Coyotes and the Roadrunners have lost seats in it, the Coyotes 4 and the Roadrunners 1, making both have 95 senators each, while the rest of the seats being taken were 5 for the Ferrets and for the Cougars each. In the governorship, the only ones which had elections were the Taima Nation, Implaria and the Western Grans, which were all three won by Coyote candidates.

The results were a surprise for many, as while it was expected for the Coyote hold on the institutions to loosen, it wasn't expected that the Roadrunners would have become so popular. Before the current elections, Brad Ross, the party's chairman and ex-President of Natal, was under pressure from the party members to step down, as they were hoping that a change in leadership would give the Roadrunners a new impulse, but it seemed that Ross' recalls to the times when he was president in the campaign had been well received nowadays when gas prices have skyrocketed thanks to the Himyari War. The Coyote loss has also been put on the back of the inner-party conflict between Olivia Harper Poole's camp, the mainstream Coyotes, and Ashton James Becker's more radical camp, which was named the Rabid Coyotes by the press.

"It has been like a cold shower, seeing many Natalians feeling disilusioned by our administration and putting their hopes again on the Roadrunners, which have led the country into one of its worst social crises caused by extreme inequality. Coyote administration had done its best and now the events taking place outside the nation have been weaponised by the Roadrunners instead of focusing in cooperating for the best of the people. Even so, I still congratulate Brad Ross for his victory and I hope we will prove to be mature enough to not block the congress, only to sabotage the administration," stated President Poole.

NATFLICK to expand in South Westernesse: The world's biggest subscription service corporation, NATFLICK has announced that it will begin providing Thaumantican subtitles to its shows in a big to expand to the nations of South Westernesse, namely Gran Occidentia, San Jose and Corrientes. Plans are also to offer the service in Azraq and to return it to Tarusa and the Holy Frankish Empire.
Higher Speed service to San Juan resumed: After two years in which the Camp Hill - San Juan mainline of the TransNet Infrastructure Corporation has been in works for a modernisation, the project has been completed, and traffic has been resumed. Initially, the Federal Investment Corproation has started the works, two years ago, but it was later joined by the Tianlong Investment Bank, which has come in Natal through the World Belt Initiative and the development of a freight exclusive mainline between San Juan and Harton, liking the Implarian and the Thaumantic Ports. The rail line from San Juan to Saint Deroin has thus been completed, allowing fast direct services from Camp Hill to San Juan and leaving only the Kelso to Saint Deroin segment left for construction. Average speed of the trains is set to increase from 60 mph to 100 mph.​

Liberation Day Weekend is upon the Commonwealth of Natal, with the people celebrating the vote of the Engellexic Parliament to abolish slavery, a few years after the banning of slave trade, thus ending the triangular trade between Great Engellex, Natal and Central Himyar. On the 3rd of July 1805, the Board of Directors of the Engell South Westernesse Company, which will be later reformed into the Commonwealth of Natal, has signed a decree stating that they will respect the laws of the government of Great Engellex, which chartered the company in itself, and thus officially liberated all the slaves which were toiling on the cotton plantations in the territory. The day is seen as an important holiday for the Natalians as the Commonwealth Day, when the referendum for responsible government is being celebrated as it created the nation and as Natalia day, when Ulise Zorzi, the Radilan explorer has reached the shores of modern day Natal on Christmas day 1497. Large parades and banquets are usually held all accross the nation, with the largest being in Toccoa, which is seen as the capital of Himyaro-Natalian culture of the Commonwealth, with more than 300,000 people expected to participate in the Liberation March along Auburn Avenue in Toccoa. This year's Liberation March has been shadowed by concern as a counter demonstration has been approved by the local council, organised by the Equality League, an organisation protesting what they see as Himyaro-Natalian positive discrimination. Officially the group calls for equality in Natal, but many see it as white nationalist. To avoid tensions, the Toccoa police has announced that they will be allowed to demonstrate far from the route of the Liberation March.

The Coyotes prepare for internal elections, as President Olivia Harper Poole, together with Vice-President Calum Rivers have announced that they will step down from the leadership of the party, as the result of the Midterm elections are seen by the Coyotes as a shameful defeat, as they lost the control of the Citizen's Assembly and very barely managed to keep the Senate even. This comes with the Coyote party being more divided than ever, with the left wing faction, dubbed the Rabid Coyotes led by Asher James Becker trying to steal many of the Citizen Assembly seats from the mainstream ones, but it seems they failed miserably, as the Roadrunners took many from both, while now a third faction forming up, led by Ezra Hutchinson, who are representing the conservative and right wing faction of the Coyotes. The cold shower of the elections has also made the Rabid Coyotes state that their split has been a mistake and they will work to reintegrate into the main party. The candidates for the chairmanship of the party are Calum Rivers, current Vice President, Dorian Thornton, the current Minister of Education, and the leader of the right wing faction of the Coyotes, Ezra Hutchinson. Pundits expect the race to be between Calum Rivers and Dorian Thornton.

Natalian teams have failed to qualify to the knockout stage of the Cedar Cup, in what has been seen as the greatest failure in the history of sports in the Commonwealth. While they managed some victories in their last matches, the Harton Cougars, Taima Braves and the Blackmere Gators have underperformed greatly, all of them ending on the last place of their groups, in what has been described as the greatest upset in Natalian sports. The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youths announced that they will begin an investigation as to what has happened and how it was possible for the teams to underperform to this level considering that theyhad the privilege of having some of the world's best infrastructure. Anthony Moore, the lead coach of the Harton Cougars has already announced that he will resign as he sees it as a personal defeat and a failure of his to make the team shine. The greatest disappointment came especially from the Cougars who barely won a match out of the three group matches they played, even if they were seen as the favourites to even win the Cedar Cup.

The Customer Safety Agency has concluded an investigation in an Irene's restaurant in Bell City, New Tiburia, after a customer has announced that the bun of his hamburger had "dirt smeared all over it". The scandal became viral after a 5 second video was published on Twatter, with the customer moaning that the clerk smeared dirt on his hamburger bun. Most of the commenters called the author of the video out for what supposedly was a fake, while some used it to attack the Irene's restaurant. The Customer Safety Agency concluded the investigation stating that in reality, what the customer called out as "dirt" was in reality herbs, spices and black sesame seeds. Irene's has announced that it will sue the person for slandering the business.

The so called equality fighters who try to bastardise the meaning of equality, only to preserve white privilege and minimise the suffering of Himyaro-Natalians, the failures of the Natalian teams in Cedar Cup, or Tiburia Man not knowing the difference between topsoil and dried basil leaves... Jesus, the world is going nuts... But even so, speaking of rugby, I must say that probably next year we should send the Toccoa Sharks if we really want to bring the Cup back home. Returning to our own business, I am happy to announce that the surprise guest tonight is none other than *drumroll* Lutriciaaaaaaaa McBill, our favourite RnB singer from the early 2000s, who will be making a comeback now. Equality Front clashes with police at Liberation Parade. 1 Dead, 5 wounded

The Liberation Day was marred with grave concerns on the security of the crowds celebrating the abolition of slavery in Natal, as the Equality Front, who were given the right to demonstrate on Pecan Plaza in west-end downtown Toccoa, tried to violate the limits imposed on their demonstration by the local council and to march towards the route of the Liberation Marchers. The police intervened, as there was a huge presence on Pecan Plaza, as the Equality Front had nearly 1,000 people, much more than they stated they will bring, with the protesters becoming violent and attacking the police cordon. At some point, after about half an hour into the scuffles between the protesters and the police, shots were heard, as a detective of Toccoa PD opened fire on a protester who took out a semi automatic weapon and started aiming towards the police lines. In the chaos that followed, as protesters started panicking and running away from the plaza and the police fully charging to arrest them, five more were wounded.

Equality Front is an organisation that was created in 1996, as a response to the Affirmative Action Act, a law that stated it wants to redress the disatvantages of the Native and Himyaro-Natalian communities that came from historical discrimination and whose present lives are still affected by the inertia of the said discrimination. In practice, Affirmative Action Act created the framework for the Ministries of Education, Healthcare and Welfare to bring in certain districts more advantages so that the district can be given an impulse to rise, with elements such as extra funding for schools or clinics, bonus payments for teachers and doctors to take jobs in said districts and for schools to create reserved sports for Natives and Himyaro-Natalians, to aid in creasing the levels of schooling in disadvantaged communities. The Equality Front was created by Christian Barlow who called for real equality, as a pressure group especially for the Roadrunners to vote down the Affirmative Action Act and to replace it with the Proportional Funding bill, a law that was proposed by paleoconservatives within the Roadrunners quite a few times, but it was voted down, which called for proportional funding for all districts in relation to the money they bring to the national budget.

Christian Barlow was not present at the event in Toccoa, as he was organising a conference in Camp Hill, but he was questioned by the Federal Police Service and has offered the following statement to the Toccoa Journal: "That was the action of a radicalised lone wolf. The Equality Front exists for the sake of our democracy, so of course I would not support actions such as domestic terrorism. Our democracy is based on equality and it should mean that we are all equal in the face of law. I don't want double standards. I understand that Natal has a complicated history thanks to the economic policies of the Engell South Westernesse Company, but that happened two centuries ago! You can't expect us to be repentant forever!".

Kamar Dorsey and Naida Neal, the directors of Natalian Liberty, the NGO which organises the traditional march on Liberation Day have condemned sternly the events, the whole Equality Front and even the Local Council: "It is clear that this Equality Front exists to try to minimise the tragedy our people suffered for two centuries is still affecting many of us. They try to say that once the Engell Parliament voted to abolish slavery, Natal became a heaven. But it's reality is much rougher. Himyaro-Natalians were given fully equal rights only in 1920, barely a century ago, and by then we could see cities and districts fully segregated. Centuries of policies attacking our people be it from the kidnapping of our ancestors from Central Himyar to bring them in Natal, uprooting them from their homeland to make them slaves, then a century of segregation where we were forced into districts with no jobs, no infrastructure, no amenities. That is the reality of the social history of Natal. The consequences of that perfect apartheid, can still be seen in the fact that the poorest counties have native or himyaro-natalian majorities. Those counties were designed exactly for that. They lacked funds and they were designed to fail. So when I hear of people like Barlow saying he wants equality, I will just ask him to try to move to places like Clinch or Heard county, here in Georgia. I want him to tell me how can he manage to offer his son social mobility without the Affirmative Action Act," stated Naida Neal.

The state governor has announced that an investigation would be started as to why the Equality Front was given the right to demonstrate exactly on the day of the March, as their divisive message is widely known. Toccoa Police department announced that the officer who opened fire did the best, as investigations have shown that the semi-automatic weapon was loaded and armed, and only a second was necessary for it to end in tragedy.

COYOTE INTERNAL CAMPAIGN: Ezra Hutchinson and Dorian Thornton have began their political campaign in earnest, to convince coyotes allover the Commonwealth to support them as the chairmen of the party. Hutchinson's team stated that they will begin the campaign with a rally in Cedar City, known for it's more conservative values, while Thornton has announced that he will hold a rally in Harton. What surprised many is the fact that the leader of the Rabid Coyotes, the more progressive and left-wing faction of the party, Asher James Becker, has already stated that he will support Dorian Thornton as the leader of the party. Should he win, Thornton would be the 3rd Himyaro-Natalian man to lead the Coyotes.
EXTENDED WEEKEND PARTIES: The nation celebrates Liberation Day with an extended weekend, as Monday is a bank holiday. Nearly 10 million people have travelled around the nation to see family and friends and celebrate together, with huge picnics, parties and fireworks displays being observed all over the nation. Liberation Day is seen as one of the big three national holidays of Natal. Progressive Federal Party Congress comes to an end. New leadership elected​

• Coyotes hope the new leadership will bring them a fresh start​

The Congress of the Progressive Federal Party has come to an end, after a week long series of rallies, conferences and meetings in the main cities of the nation, with a Commonwealth-wide vote for the new generation of party leaders to succeed Olivia Harper Poole and Calum Rivers. The call for a new congress came after the poor results in the Midterm elections, where the Coyotes lost the Citizens' Assembly, the lower house of the Congress, lost the majority in the Senate and barely managed to keep the governorships of the states they administered. This comes from what has been perceived as a poor foreign policy from the OHP and Calum Rivers administration, as they allowed Tarusan absolutism to fully take over Pannonia, and then have been very ambivalent towards the colonial war in Himyar, to which the disastrous result of the referendum in Sankt Katharina is added and the rising costs of fuel that come from the war and a Tarusan policy of forcing democratic nations into recession as they withhold petrol exports.

While not officially calling for outright hostilities with Tarusa, it is clear that the low level collusion the OHP administration did, especially with the Whitaker Plan, which outright surrendered Zara to Csengia, for the promise of Sankt Katharina, which they failed to take too, has been seen as a shameful display of Natalian foreign policy, to which rising costs are added and the fact that 85% of Natalians nowadays stated in polls that they see Tarusa as a revisionist agent hell bent on destroying the current status quo and a threat to world peace.

"While nobody wants a war or to bring back the Cold war tensions from two years ago with Tarusa, it is seen by many that the administration was just continuously played by the Tarusans and while internally it did its best in keeping the economy afloat, even with rising oil prices, and now rising social and racial tensions, externally it has been seen as extremely incompetent, and that is something what normally Natalians are not accepting. There is also the issue of the Rabid Coyotes, led by Asher James Becker, who tried to steal the votes of the Ferrets and also of more socialist leaning Coyotes only to fail in both, so there is a plethora of issues that his the Coyote party. Looking at the polls for potential presidential candidates though, it seems that when having to choose between Dorian Thornton and Bradley Ross of the Roadrunners, Thornton would win by 55%, while if candidating against Hutchinson, Ross would be elected with 60% of the votes. So what we see here isn't actually that much of a repudiation of the Coyotes, but rather, the aspiration to reform the Coyotes, repudiating Olivia Harper Poole, to allow a new, more energic generation to take her place," stated James Rees, political analyst for the Mercury.

In the internal elections, Calum Rivers gained the least votes between the three, only 5%, which as Mr. Rees stated showed that the Coyotes repudiated the OHP administration for its failures. He is followed by Ezra Hutchinson, who gained 40% of the votes, gaining the support of his right-wing and conservative faction, but also many moderates who were scared off by the radical Rabid Coyotes. The main winner of the night was Dorian Thornton, who gained 55% of the votes in the party, gaining the support of the moderates and of the progressive faction, thus becoming the third Himyaro-Natalian to lead the Coyote Party and the first one with real chances of becoming the President of Natal.

"A new period in the history of our party is starting, and while I understand many are afraid that with this level of divisiveness we are ready to split up and surrender the country to the Roadrunners, I promise you all that everyone in this party will be represented by this team. The Coyotes have government through some of Natal's best and worst periods, always improving it and always ending a term with the country in a better state than it was when they began. Let us remember all that and make sure that we work now together for the land, while keeping the peace globally and not allowing ourselves be trampled like we were before. This land is a rich one, with coal, iron, gold and diamonds underground, with some of the most fertile soil on the ground, but its greatest resources are its people and the time has come to make sure that everyone within our borders feels that they should be proud to be Natalian. That they feel that month by month, their situation improves and they feel their quality of life ameliorates. The time has come to be sure there is no poor man in a rich country, and that in our vote for responsible government, we voted for a republic, because what we want isn't to be serfs under a king, but to make sure that here, every man is a king!" stated Dorian Thornton in his speech after winning the election.

ROADRUNNERS ON THE OFFENSIVE: The news of the Coyote election has taken the Roadrunners by surprise, as they were rooting for Ezra Hutchinson to win, as he was known for his cooperation and bipartisanship with the Country Party. Even so, the chairman of the Roadrunners, Brad Ross, has stated that he feels that many Natalians will be on the long run disappointed that the Coyotes, instead of electing a grounded candidate like Hutchinson, preferred Thornton, who is his eyes is "nothing but a populist naïve dreamer". Even so, the Roadrunners are running on a high after their huge Midterm election and they stated that they will be planning a recall vote in Congress against OHP, to force an early presidential election.
EQUALITY FRONT UNDER SCRUTIY: The Equality Front has been put under scrutiny from the Federal Police Service after the events in Toccoa on the 3rd, as the FPS stated that they will investigate if the planning of a shootout really was the action of a lone wolf radical or was in organised by the movement itself. In the meantime, three more marches of their have taken place in Rock Hill, Camp Hill and Dalton. While the members of the Front marching are usually wearing bandanas to cover their lower faces, there have been speculations that in reality the group isn't bigger than 1,500 to 3,000 members at most, and they demonstrate all over the country in a quick succession as a strategy to present themselves as much bigger. Olivia Harper Poole pronounced dead after terrorist attack in Kremlyov

News from the tragedy in Kremlyov become worse and worse as the Natalian delegation officially announced that President Olivia Harper Poole has been killed in the terrorist attack at Hotel Metropol in the capital of the Tsardom of Tarusa. The bomb blasted in an adjacent room, destroying the suite of President Jose Constanza, President Poole and Tarusan Tsar Yuri being present.

It is believed that the bomb blast was targetting President Constanza, as it was targetting his suite, but in the aftermath, Jose Constanza survived the blast, although he was wounded, while the Tsar and President Poole did not. This is one of the gravest situations in the world, with two important world leaders killed and a third one wounded in a single terrorist attack.

Hotel Metropol was the place where the international delegations were hosted in Kremlyov as they were participating at the Royal Wedding of the Queen of Csengia in Tsarskoye Selo.

Reports of the attack state that the Tsar was the closest to the blast, being killed immediately, while President Olivia Harper Poole was in the middle between him and President Constanza. The Natalian delegation stated that she still had life signs when she was taken to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead, suffering from extreme internal haemorrhage. President Constanza survived, as he was shielded, surprisingly by a coffee table behind which he was standing, suffering wounds, but being stable. The world is in shock that such a thing happened in the Tsardom of Tarusa, which always presented itself as an anchor of law, order and stability. Some have criticised the Tsardom itself for organising the attack, but the fact that the Tsar itself was killed in it, doesn't allow this theory to stand. Others state that the true target was Tsar Yuri, with OPH and Jose Constanza being targets of opportunity, but again, the fact that the bomb blasted in the adjacent room to the Josefino presidential suite doesn't let that theory stand either. The Tarusan authorities have started an investigation, as there are much more questions than answers at the moment, and the Natalian Federal Police Service has announced that they will aid the Tarusans in it.

"It is a tragedy. It is a huge shock. Olivia Harper Poole has been a guiding light for us, when we first elected her, as she was the first female president of Natal and led the country through a good period of development. To see her in this state leaves us deeply bitter about the state of the world. We will look back to this and wonder, how could this have happened? How and where were the secret services, who were supposed to do their best in avoiding such events? Whomever organised this monstrous attack, right now probably feels good about themselves, as they feel they hit the jackpot, but I will say only this: There will be a time, when justice will be served. We will not allow such a tragedy to take place and simply ignore it," stated Calum Rivers, Vice-President of Natal.

VP Rivers announced a week long period of mourning for the death of the President, and the beginning of the process to elect a new president, as the Natalian law states that the Vice-President can't be interim president for more than a year, and with two more years in the presidency of OHP, he is forced to begin the election campaign.

Many in Camp Hill have come and laid flowers on the fences surrounding Combs House, the headquarters of the presidency. More than two million people have accompanied the funeral cortege and have lain flowers in front of the Coombs House, honouring Natal's late president, Olivia Harper Poole, the nation's also first female president. The tragedy that took place in Kremlyov, whose perpetrators are quite controversial in many circles around the world, has taken the life of the Natalian president and of the Tarusan tsar, and also severely wounded president Jose Constanza of San Jose.

There have been many voices stating a multitude of theories regarding the terrorist attack, with Tarusan authorities arresting members of the Suomi National Front, a Fenno-Ugric nationalist group that was militating for the independence of the Fennic peoples in Tarusa and their union with Metsamaa, while in San Jose, it is believed that the attack was orchestrated by disgruntled Zaran nationalists, who wanted to take revenge on President Constanza for his policies regarding the Zaran Question and to force a conflict between San Jose and Tarusa. At the same time, some Natalians have stated that it was to be expected for OHP and President Constanza to be a lot together as they were very close friends, both personally and politically and the attack was planned to decapitate the free world by killing its most vocal leaders. The Directorate of External Reconnaissance is still leading an investigation, cooperation with the secret services of San Jose and the Tarusan Okhrana, but as of yet no report has been made public.

A two week mourning period has been declared over the Commonwealth of Natal by interim president Calum Rivers, who is now also presiding over an emergency election, at one of the worst times for the Coyotes. Most of the ambassadors in Camp Hill participated at the ceremony, with some exceptions being the Justosian ambassador and the representatives of Zara, Hajr and Al-Marghab, which have diplomatic offices in the city, but boycotted the event as they saw OHP as allowing the Tarusan aggression to take place. On the other hand, the Justosian ambassador was always critical of her and her government, calling Natal a communist country. The most important foreign representatives were President Elena Sinclair of Oneida, Prime-Minister Jean Guy Laval of the Ottawas and Prime Minister Barty Hoppus of Great Engellex. Even if the OHP Administration didn't always see eye to eye with the Hoppus government, the three nations represent some of Natal's closest allies and friends.

The death of President Poole has been seen as an extreme shock by many, who were hoping that her presidency will bring stability and peace to a nation not fully coming to terms with its past, and would provide a stable pole for liberal democracies to gather around, while also extending the civil liberties and social securities so many hoped for. Olivia Harper Poole is the 2nd Natalian President to die a violent death, after Andrew Lewis Bowman, Natal's first president and is the 5th president to die in office.

But as always, we will be on guard, we will be ready and while grieving, we will be recharging and preparing to rise back as a phoenix. It is important to understand that the nation put her energy behind OHP and it is natural for us all to grief such an abysmal and disgusting act. Even so, while we look back, at the hope her presidency gave us, we must also look towards the future. We must never allow our grief to turn out back from the future and we must channel those energies and hopes so that this nation can truly rise up and reach its greatest potential, as President Poole would have always wanted!" stated Calum Rivers, Provisional President of Natal.​

The Race to Coombs House reaches midway​

• Roadrunners bet on trying to flip the Glades Green​
• Coyotes play defensive, making little efforts in in the interior west​
• Woodruff predicted to be the game changer​

The Race to the Combs House is reaching it's culmination as we're just a bit past midway, with Coyotes and Roadrunners going their best to win as many votes as possible before the final countdown on the 9th of August. Recent polls have shown an up of support for the Coyotes, coming from the support offered to them by the Ferrets (Natalian Communist Party) and the Cougars (Western Liberal Union), but it also doesn't mean that they are getting a comfortable advantage over the Roadrunners. Because of the federal nature of the Commonwealth, the candidates must win the states, rather than the popular vote, and while state reps are proportional to their population, it gives an advantage to the Roadrunners, which have been thoroughly losing popular votes in the past 20 years.

A traditionally blue state, the Glades has been divided more and more between it's urban agglomerations and the rural area, with more and more votes radicalising, rather than creating a bridge for improving the state. For many decades in the 20th century, rural Glades have always been a blue bastion, because of the strong trade union membership, stemming from the popularity of the Agrarian Federation of Workers and the National Union of Miners, but since the late 80s, the huge influx of young professionals in the city of Harton, urbanising the once rural state and turning the once conservative city into a progressive heaven, has turn the state upside down. The collapse of the unions by the mid 90s and the frustrations stemming from it has made the rural Glades a strong Roadrunner bastion, making the state nowadays the biggest competitional state.

Dorian Thornton has held rallies in Harton and Dalton, but stayed away from Lacoochee and Dade City, which are strong Roadrunner bastions. In the past week, the Coyotes held 4 campaign rallies in Harton and its suburbs, and 2 in Dalton, while the Roadrunners held no less than 15, the main towns. The main effort from the Roadrunners comes from the fact that there are still remnants of the old Coyote influence in industrial towns and they try to win them over, hoping that the Harton and its suburbs, together with the mid sized city of Dalton won't be enough to block them from turning the state green.

In the mean time, the Coyotes have a very comfortable life thanks to the states of Georgia and Sonoma, two extremely large states which have traditionally been Coyote blue, and now with the rise in popularity of the governor of the state of Obion, Jonathan Guerrero, Natal's only Cougar governor, supporting Thornton, they expect the state to be an easy win. They also expect to turn the state of St Lucia blue. A traditionally rural and conservative state, the Roadrunner governor, Carl Maccarty, has been embroiled in a corruption scandal after it was found that he forced the hiring of his three daughters to work at the townhall in the state capital, Ochlocknee. The scandal erupted after investigative reporters from the Mercury, stated that the three Maccarty sisters received full wages of up to 6,000 dollars a month without coming any day to work in the past three years. This scandal destroyed the image of the local Roadrunners, and while Brad Ross organised 4 rallies in Ochlocknee, Nahunta, Hoboken and Millwood, it is expected that the state will go with the Coyotes.

The interior west, with few exceptions in Roadrunner country. The states of Osage, Jim Wells and Oldham are with few exceptions rural states whose cities, some very rich, like Inwood, the capital of Jim Wells, but that didn't open any doors for the Coyotes in the region. The three states remained the biggest bastion of the Roadrunners in the country, and offers the same support for them that Sonoma and Georgia offers to the Roadrunners. The Coyotes barely campaigned here and the same can be said about the Roadrunners in Sonoma and Georgia.

The big prize remains the state of Woodruff. Originally a conservative rural state, it was the exactly opposite from the Glades, whose labour history made it a strong Blue State. Woodruff was always a green one, but everything changed when Camp Hill was built as a new concept city to act as the capital of the Commonwealth, which has brought people from all over the country, changing the voter base of the state. Now, with its 8.5 million people, Woodruff is the biggest competitive state, more competitive than the Glades, as the Coyotes have support in Camp Hill, Camden and Louann, but the rural areas the Roadrunners dominate, are much bigger as a percentage of the population than the ones in the Glades.

The sci-fi movie deals with the difficulties of expanding humanity in the Solar System and colonising other planets and is based on the book with the same name by bestselling author Jennifer Stubbs. The studios announced at first that there were some issues but they were all set and Spears is happy to be part of the project.​
