Cars and trains from Eiffelland

The present era requires fast, comfortable and reliable transport, be it on road or on rail. Several companies from Eiffelland provide you what you need for that.

Raimer

Are you looking for the summum in luxury? Then look at the cars from Raimer. Be it speed, be it comfort, Raimer offers the best. Even custom-made bodyworks are possible for our top models.

Our top model is the R770. This car has a 7.7 L eight-cilinder engine with a four-gears gearbox with overdrive. The top speed of this car is 150 km/h without compressor and 160 km/h with compressor. We have a standard bodywork for this car, but we can also provide a custom-made bodywork. The standard bodyworks we deliver, are the limousine, the carbiolimousine (i.e. the roof is a cloth roof that can be folded away) and the carbiolet.

Apart from the R770, we deliver a complete line of roadsters and cabriolets with 5 L or 5.4 L engines. Both engines can be delivered with or without compressor, and with a four- or five-gear gearbox. The top speed of these models is 160 km/h (5 L) or 170 km/h (5.4 L). We have standard bodyworks for these cars, but can also provide custom-built bodyworks.

Additional to the other eight-cilinder models, we deliver an armoured limousine with a 5.4 L engine.

Our larger upper middle class car model is the R320. This car is equipped with a 3.2 L six-cilinder engine, and a four-gear gearbox with overdrive. The top speed of the car is 130 km/h. The R320 is available as limousine (also in a longer version), cabriolet and ambulance.

Our smaller upper middle class car model is the R220. This car has a 2.3 L six-cilinder engine with four-gear gearbox, providing a top speed of 115 km/h.

The R260D is a sister model of the R220. The bodywork is that of the R220 (limousine or cabriolet), but the engine is a 2.6 L six-cilinder diesel engine. This engine gives the car a top speed of 94 km/h. The limousine version is especially suited as a taxi.

The R170V is our middle class car model. It has a 1.7 L four-cilinder engine with our standard four-gear gearbox. Its top speed is 108 km/h. The car is available as limousine, cabriolimousine (i.e. the roof is a cloth roof that can be folded away), roadster, two-seats cabriolet and four-seats cabriolet. The roadster is a four-seater in which the two back seats are covered with a lid; this lid can be opened for the cases that the two additional seats are needed, and left closed when the two additional seats are not needed.

A sister model of the R170V is the R170H. This car has the same 1.7 L engine as the R170V, but then in the back. Its bodywork was designed with aerodynamics in mind. The R170H is smaller but more luxurious than the R170V. Also this model has the standard four-gear gearbox, and also has a top speed of 108 km/h. The R170H is available as limousine and as cabriolimousine.

The Technische Universität Weissenfels used the chassis of the R170H as basis for the Loerswagen, an experimental ultra-aerodynamic car built of aluminium. There are currently no plans to market this car, but the Loerswagen does provide many new insights in car designs.

The R170VK is a car specially designed for the armed forces and police forces in rural areas. This car has a 2.0 L engine and a five-gear gearbox. It is a four-wheel-drive, but the propulsion of the front wheels can be turned off. Special design feature is, that the rear wheels can steer as well if needed.

Next to the cars, Raimer also produces buses, trucks, fire fighting vehicles and tractors with equipment.

Limone

Front-wheel drive, making the car more predictable, as well as creating extra space in the cabin and extra room for your luggage. Perfect mass division with the engine behind the front axis and the gear box in front of it. Self-carrying bodywork, so that the car can be lighter. Low centre of gravity, making the car more stable and easier to handle in curves. The Limone T3 is a giant leap forward in car technique.
The car is available with three engines:
Four cilinder 1.6 L / 36 HP (top speed 95 km/h).
Four cilinder 1.9 L / 56 HP (top speed up to 115 km/h).
Six cilinder 2.9 L / 78 HP (top speed up to 135 km/h).

All cars are delivered with three-gear boxes (three gears to the front, and a reverse gear).

The following bodyworks variants are available:
L ("light"; short and slim limousine; only with an 1.6 L or 1.9 L engine).
N ("normal"; standard size limousine; only with an 1.9 L or 2.9 L engine).
NCL (the cabriolimousine verision of the N; the roof is a cloth roof that can be folded away).
F ("family"; long size, with three instead of two sitting rows; eight people can travel in this car, making it suitable for large families or taxi companies; only with an 1.9 L or 2.9 L engine).
V ("variant"; long size, with two sitting rows of which the back seat and the passenger seat can be folded away to create a large loading surface; the back side of the car can be opened completely for loading large items; this car is a comfortable and representative person carrier and a potent load carrier in one).
K (for "Kastenwagen"; delivery cars for e.g. plumbers and shopkeepers; this car can also be delivered as ambulance).
P (for "Pritschenwagen"; this is a pickup truck).
NCA (cabriolet; in principle a two-seater, but the tailgate uncovers a space where two additional people can sit).
NCC (coupé; in principle a two-seater, but the tailgate uncovers a space where two additional people can sit, although in the open air).

EKW

The abbreviation EKW stands for “Eiffelländische Kraftfahrzeugwerke”. It produces cars, motorcycles and mopeds. The company is the result of a merger between four predecessor-companies. This is symbolised in the company logo: Four rings. EKW experiments with electric propulsion, but does not have an electric car in the portfolio at the moment.

The EKW 850 is EKW’s top model. This car is equipped with an eight-cilinder 5 L engine with compressor, and a four-gear gearbox. It is available as limousine, cabriolimousine, cabriolet, sportcarbiolet and roadster. The car has a top speed of 130 km/h (140 km/h for the sportcabriolet and roadster).

The 838 is EKW’s next model. It is equipped with a V8 engine, as the first car of Eiffellandian origin. The 3.8 L engine is connected to a four-gear gearbox with overdrive. The cars have top speeds of 125 to 130 km/h. They are available as limousine, cabriolet and roadster.

The EKW 633 is equipped with a 3.3 L six-cilinder engine coupled to a four-gear gearbox. Its top speed is 130 km/h. It is available as limousine and carbiolet.

The EKW 627 has a 2.7 L six-cilinder engine, coupled to a four-gear gearbox. It is available as a limousine, cabriolet and all-terrain vehicle. Depending on the model, its top speed is 105-115 km/h.

The EKW 620 has a six-cilinder 2 L engine, coupled to a four-gear gearbox. It is available as a limousine and cabriolet. There is a special taxi version as well. Its top speed is 105 km/h.

Thw EKW 620 Roadster is a roadster which is also available in a streamline version. This car is equipped with a 2 L engine with compressor and a four-gear gearbox. The car has a top speed of 145 km/h.

The EKW 418 has a four-cilinder 1.8 L engine and a four-gear gearbox. Its top speed is 105 km/h. It is available as limousine and cabriolet.

Contrary to the other models, the two smallest car models from EKW have two-stroke engines. The EKW 411 has a 1.1 L engine, coupled to a four-gear gearbox. Its top speed is 95 km/h. It is available as a streamline limousine.

The EKW 207 has a two-cilinder two-stroke 0.7 L engine, coupled to a three-gear gearbox. It is available as limousine, cabriolimousine, cabriolet and delivery car.

EKW also produces motorcycles. Here are two examples.

NDU

This company produces a complete line of motorcycles, with cilinder capacities varying from 98 to 592 cubic centimeter. Here are some examples.

Hansamag

This company is specialised in steam engines. It produces all kinds of steam machines and other equipment needing coal. It is also Eiffelland’s most important manufacturer of steam locomotives, and a large manufacturer of train cars.

The HC60 is a steam locomotive which is allowed for a top speed of 150 km/h. It is suitable for long-range fast passenger trains.

The HC70 is a steam locomotive that has been designed with speed and economy in mind. Combined with ultralight waggons, speeds up to 175 km/h are possible. This locomotive shows what steam power is capable off.
This train is delivered with a steam locomoitve and four waggons. The waggons consists of an endwaggon with mail sorting room and restaurant, two middle waggons, and an end waggon with panorama end at the tail.
The Eiffelländische Reichsbahn uses the HC70 a.o. for the fast connections between Bremen and Köln, but also in other parts of Eiffelland.

The HC64 is a locomotive specially for slow trains, i.e. trains on accessory lines or trains running between larger cities but halting more often than the fast trains and intercities.

The HC52Z is a locomotive specially designed for marshalling yards and industrial areas.

Many more steam locomotives are delivered by us, among others rack locomotives like the . We also deliver locomotives specially for freight trains (for instance the ).

Magirus-Deutz

This company produces agricultural machines, construction machines like bulldozers and digging machines, train cars, diesel locomotives, diesel train sets, electric locomotives, electric train sets, buses, trams, underground trains and city track trains.

Magirus-Deutz currently builds two fast electrolocomotives. The MDE 150 is already a fast locomotive, with a top speed of 150 km/h. Its sistermodel MDE 180 is even faster, with a top speed of 180 km/h. These locomotives are perfect for use as fast trains and intercity trains.
We are currently working on testing the MDE 180 for higher velocities, up to 225 km/h.

The MDE 90 is an electric locomotive specially for slow trains, i.e. trains on accessory lines or trains running between larger cities but halting more often than the fast trains and intercities. It can also be used for freight trains (MDE 90G).

The MDE 80S is a train specially for mountainous areas. It has a top speed of 80 km/h, and is able to handle climbs and dismounts

For the really long and really heavy freight trains, we deliver the electric locomotive MDE 65SG. This train has a duration effort of 2214 kW (over 3000 H.P.).

The MDE R is a locomotive specially designed for marshalling yards and industrial areas.

The MDD 100 is a diesel locomotive specially suited for freight and passenger trains. It has a top speed of 100 km/h.

The MDD-R is a small diesel locomotive for use on marshalling yards and in industrial areas.

You just saw our complete line of locomotives. Of course we also deliver train cars in all kinds and according to all specifications, both for passenger cars and for freight cars.

Magirus-Deutz also delivers trainsets. An example is the MDTE 160. This is an electric two-car trainset that reaches a top speed of 160 km/h. This trainset is a luxurious trainset with 2nd class layout (three seats per row) and a restaurant facility.
This is the way it is used in Eiffelland. The tracks Trier-Weimar-Weissenfels and Eisenach-Weimar-Jena had already been electrified before the war. On these tracks, the Eiffelländische Reichsbahn performs morning and evening services with MDTE 160 trainsets equipped with kitchens between Trier and Weissenfels as well as Eisenach and Jena. A business-man or high government official from Weissenfels can step into the morning train at 8am, be served breakfast in the train, arrive in Trier at 11am, meet the people he needs to meet and close the deals he wants to close, step into the evening train at 6pm, be served dinner in the train and then arrive back home in Weissenfels at 9pm after a productive and satisfying day.
We can also deliver the MDTE 160 in a less luxurious way as a low-cost fast-train solution in sparsely populated areas with lower numbers of passengers.

The MDTE 90 is an electric trainset specially suitable for local and suburban train traffic. It is a three-car trainset with 63 seats that reaches a top speed of 90 km/h. Two trainsets can be coupled and used as a single train.

The MDTD 160 is a diesel trainset that can reach a top speed of 160 km/h. The trainset is available in a 2nd class layout (three seats per row) with kitchen for restaurant facilities in a two-waggon (77 seats) or three- waggon (115 passengers) variant.
Our newest development is a four-waggon variant of this train. We used a different design for this variant: Instead of placing a diesel engine in each waggon, we turned one end-waggon into a machine-waggon with a diesel aggregate which produces electricity for the engines propelling the wheels. As a result, the three other waggons have more space, making room for a larger kitchen and a more luxurious equipment level. This train has room for 126 passengers.
The Eiffelländische Reichsbahn uses the MDTD 160 at the line Kön-Trier, as well as on the island Rügen and several lines in Northern and Western Eiffelland.
We can also deliver the MDTD 160 in a less luxurious way as a low-cost fast-train solution in sparsely populated areas with lower numbers of passengers.

Some Eiffellandian cities have city rail tracks connecting various city quarters with each other. Such a city rail track is called “Stadtbahn' or more often “S-Bahn'. The one in Trier is the most famous one. For that track, we deliverd the MDTB 34. This train takes its electricity from a busbar. One other specialty is, that the Trierer S-Bahn uses direct current instead of alternating current. The MDTB 34 was specially developed for the Trierer S-Bahn, but we can also adapt it for other city rail systems, including the use of alternating current.

More information to come about train sets, underground trains, trams and city track trains.

Magirus-Deutz introduces the MDTD 200. This is a diesel trainset reaching 200 km/h. The Eiffelländische Bahn is intending to use this trainset on international routes to overcome the issue with different voltages on the railroads between countries, or even the absence of overhead lines.

Kaliga Urban Battalions

Per an earlier solicitation for motor vehicle contracts: the K.U.B. invites interlachen neighbors of Eiffelland with motor companies to assist our public peacekeeping battalions. We are seeking a fast patrol and pursuit vehicle to match criminal imports, and reliable truck wagons to collect disorderly drunkards and enemies of democracy.

We have several options for you. The Eiffellandian border police and motorway police make use of a specially adapted . You see this car in our product list as an armoured car, but the version for the Eiffellandian police forces is unarmoured. Therefore, it is lighter, and faster. This car reaches velocities up to 180 km/h. It has been designed specially for police forces. We paid a lot of attention to the roadability of the car, so that it is not only fast but also predictable and forgiving.

Another option is a motorcycle. NDU delivers the . This motorcycle has a 592 ccm engine, and can reach velocities up to 200 km/h.

In more rural areas, where the roads do not allow the high speeds possible on the motorway, a different type of car may be more suitable. The is not as fast as the R540, but it has a formidable roadability. Therefore, it is highly suitable for police forces in the countryside. The police version has a top speed of 140 km/h.

Another option would be the . The police version of this car can reach a top speed of 140 km/h.

For the cars collecting disordered people, we have three options, apart from real trucks. The product list shows the ambulance version of the , but this car is also available as squad van. There are also squad van versions of the Limone T3 ( ) and the

OOC: Modified. I discovered that that diesel trainset didn't go 200 km/h but 160 km/h, so that needed to be corrected. Furthermore, I turned the steam locomotive part of Magirus-Deutz into a separate company. I don't think that Magirus-Deutz would compete with itself by building both the good old steam trains and the trains of the future (diesel and electric).
