The Rheinbund is a well-developed and heterogeneous country, known for its personal freedoms. However, the personal freedoms are dependent on where you go. The cities Fehrbellin, Scharmbeck, Würzwald, Cöllen, Weissenfels, Bad Hersfeld, Engelsheim and Grefrath are very liberal and the cities to party. On the other side of the freedom spectrum are the citizenry of Bramsfeld and the prince-bishopric of Heilbach, which are extremely religious parts of the Rheinbund.

Electricity, natural gas, water and internet are relatively expensive but extremely reliable. The power grid has a large overcapacity, and power outages hardly ever happen. Water management is a topic, and designed in such a way that water levels occurring with a chance of 1:10000 can be dealt with. On the minus side is, that traffic congestion can be an issue during rush hour, and that public transport in the countryside is not really good.

Health care is at a very high level in the Rheinbund, with a big focus on prevention. Vaccines play a very large role in the Rheinbund, but there are about 4 million Rheinians who refuse vaccines out of religious reasons. There is no active vaccination campaign in Bramsfeld due to religious reaons; on the other hand, about five memberstates have compulsory vaccination programs.

Update February 2023

  • Political and social environment (political stability, crime, law enforcement, etc.) - 82 ---> 78
  • Economic environment (currency exchange regulations, banking services) - 80
  • Socio-cultural environment (media availability and censorship, limitations on personal freedom)-78
  • Medical and health considerations (medical supplies and services, infectious diseases, sewage, waste disposal, air pollution, etc.)- 80 ---> 78
  • Schools and education (standards and availability of international schools)- 84
  • Public services and transportation (electricity, water, public transportation, traffic congestion, etc.)- 84 ---> 80
  • Recreation (restaurants, theatres, cinemas, sports and leisure, etc.) - 80
  • Consumer goods (availability of food/daily consumption items, cars, etc.) - 82
  • Housing (rental housing, household appliances, furniture, maintenance services) - 78
  • Natural environment (aggregate of overall climate, environmental laws, and record of natural disaster response/prevention)- 78
Total: 806 ---> 796

General change:
The price increases for oil and natural gas, as well as the poliomyelitis epidemic, had an impact on the Rheinbund's economy. The polio epidemic also intensified the discussions regarding vaccinations: Parents who refuse to have their children vaccinated are reproached more sharply for that, and childcare facilities are more and more restricting their admission policies to vaccinated children and children who cannot be vaccinated due to medical issues. Therefore, the index for Political and social environment and the index for public services and transportation decreased.

No change: The Rheinbund is a well-developed and heterogeneous country, known for its personal freedoms.

Change: Prices for energy have risen due to the Gothic Sea Piracy Crisis. No change: Electricity, natural gas, water and internet are relatively expensive but extremely reliable.

Change: The fact that poliomyelitis could break out shows that the low vaccination grade among orthodox Christians is a bigger risk than the national government foresaw. Therefore, the index of medical and health considereation was lowered. Four more memberstates are considering to make the vaccination programmes compulsory, and vaccination will be a topic in the upcoming synods of the Reformatorial Churches and Communities. On the positive side, it should be mentioned that the health care system managed to cover the sudden increase in patients due to the poliomyelitis epidemic, and with that demonstrated its strength. No change: Health care is at a very high level in the Rheinbund, with a big focus on prevention. Vaccines play a very large role in the Rheinbund, but there are about 4 million Rheinians who refuse vaccines out of religious reasons. There is no active vaccination campaign in Bramsfeld due to religious reaons; on the other hand, about five memberstates have compulsory vaccination programs.
