Re: Następne Pokolenie Szturmowy Karabin* Development, Year-Ender Update
Greetings and salutations in the name of Almighty God.
As I have stated earlier, the Coalition is approaching a head with the Mainline Następne Pokolenie Szturmowy Karabin, hence to be referred to by its shortened name "Naposzk". Having been five years since the development of the original prototype, there have been many challenges and setbacks during the whole process. However, you can be assured that with the continuous testing and refinement of the design, we are slowly advancing in the race, much like the tortoise. The mentality of a hare is not the wisest choice to adopt in the development of weapons. After all, these weapons will be the only things standing between our brave soldiers, and certain death at the hands of the Red Miroslavan Hordes, or any conceivable enemy.
The reliability of the Naposzk has substantially increased since the original prototype stage. Using the SzK-45's experimental roller delayed blowback system, I am most proud to announce that we have refined the mechanism to the point of having perfected it. At present, there are still many faults and other adjustments that might have gotten past our scrutiny. We will continue our testing independently. However, as per your request, we shall be providing you with two-hundred (200) units of the present Mk II Prototype rifle for testing. In line with your request, we shall begin releasing it in small batches of ten (10) units to select bases in the the Federal and Confederate Armed Forces, to see how it fares compared to the earlier SzK-44 and 45 models, which it is intended to replace. The distribution will vary the whole length and breadth of Swiecziema, to ensure maximum test points for the number of environments. From the smouldering deserts of Orazvocziema to the harsh Arctic climate of Czarncziema, the effectiveness of this rifle will be tested.
As for a projected time for the next release, based on the eventual testing, we project that three (3) years should be sufficient to iron out all the bugs prior to a full production model, although at the utmost, we are giving ourselves seven (7) years. As such, we have two pending release dates for the finalised Mk III Naposzk (whatever your final designation will be) production model. In line with your requirements, these dates are the 21st of June, 1955, and the 21st of June, 1959, respectively.
Lastly, in terms of economic logistics, so to speak, we intend this weapon to be available for export, of course, with our close ally Danmark as a potential major buyer, if they do consider it worthy of being so, and considering our alliance lasts for that long (I have no doubt of that, of course). It will also be open to purchase for other states who wish, excepting of course, the Communists, who use their own blatantly unoriginal derivative of the SzK-44. As to the disposal of the earlier models, it is not a bad idea to begin selling the extra stock to established (and potentially new) trading partners lacking such a robust military-industrial complex as ours. Of course, this is only a suggestion. What does happen to the older weapons is, of course, up to the top levels of government, with advice from yourself, and the DETI.
Please note the attached overview of the weapon, complete with photograph.
