Official Communiqué

№ 5/2022 | Circulation: Confidential | Urgency: Normal
Propontis, 28/02/2022

To the attention of His Excellency, Kalombo Mukamba, President of the Noks Democratic Republic; the Right Honourable Victor Banda, Prime Minister of the Central Himyari Republic; and Her Excellency, Olivia Harper Poole, President of the Occidental Republic of @Natal.

Your Excellencies,

Pelasgia, long committed to the principles of Himyari self-rule and decolonisation, has observed recent happenings in Himyar with both sadness and hopefulness. On the one hand, the continued presence of foreign colonial forces on the southern half of the Ebony Continent is an atrocity which insults and degrades every Himyari. On the other hand, with the abolition of the Mandate System, as well as the entanglement of foreign empires in more proximate and pressing conflicts in Gallo-Germania, the chance for Himyari liberation has never been closer.

No locale is more closely linked to this than Noks, where the so-called Noks Free State exists under perpetual company rule and Tarusan colonial occupation. The recent formation of the Noks Democratic Republic in exile in Central Himyar offers a rallying point for resistance against colonial rule. To this end, Pelasgia recommends a series of measures to all interested parties, including: (i) the funding, training, and supporting of Noks forces within and without Noks itself, with a view to overthrowing the Free State; (ii) the enacting of an embargo and other sanctions on the Noks Free State, with a view to isolating it; and (iii) public recognition of the Noks Democratic Republic, coupled with diplomatic pressure for other nations to follow suit, along with open and constant condemnation of the Free State.

While these steps will prove pivotal for Noks, we cannot ignore that this is not the only part of Himyar currently faced with the ills of colonialism. Hajr and Al-Magrab, until recently under foreign Mandate control, now exist in a state of semi-anarchy, following the colonial powers' departure and sabotage efforts. Moreover, the Dune Sea and Batavia continue to subsist under a state of Vrijpoort colonial rule. This cannot be allowed to continue. To concentrate our efforts, Pelasgia recommends the creation of a Himyari Union, which shall lay the foundation for permanent dialogue and economic cooperation, as well as cultural exchange between our countries--in addition to acting as a solid, institutional, and internationally legitimate forum and medium for us to pursue and promote decolonisation through joint missions. Indeed, we propose that the establishment of missions to help set up independent Republics in both Hajr and Al-Magrab should be the very first step of this union, alongside support for Noks self-rule.

I eagerly await your response, and invite representatives from your governments to Propontis to discuss these matters in further detail.

Signed and sealed,

Ανάξανδρος Κολίγος
