• Two controversial bills have just been broached in the senate according to Paige leaks. One, proposed by new SDU Party Chairman & Minority Speaker David Mendez (SDU-Avalon), would alter the constitution to officially compel HRM the King to address the Senate de Nationale on the state of the state 4 times annually instead of the current 2. The other, proposed by Senate Speaker Marco Reyes (NRB-Avalon) even more surprising, would remove the term limits on the office of Prime Minister. Both are expected to be along party lines votes. Though the substance of these issues could cause fluidity. Current PM Jean Blount is the most popular PM in 50 years.

• HRH Crown Prince Carlos III officially single again.

• Senate passes Bill 737 56-44. The office of Prime Minister now officially has no term limits. An NRB spokesman said "If the people want to keep reelecting His Excellency Prime Minister Blount, than that's their will. That's democracy." An SDU spokesman decried the vote as "another step towards autocratic dictatorship."

• Bill 738, the would be law that would have officially compelled HRM to address the senate 4 times annually instead of 2, fails on a party line vote of 54-46.

• Forest fire in ever dry southern rural Justosia put out. No fatalities reported.

• In what looks to be an amusing gaffe, a Royal Navy submarine, currently on patrol via the navy's latest protocol stratagem, has sunk a whale. Apparently the lost creature was both big & fast enough to streak across radar as an enemy sub. A Royal Navy spokesman is confirming this saying "Some may call this a gaffe. We're calling it another stark warning via Defence Minister Delgado's last words on our shipping patrols. We put submarine captains......well for lack of a better word, trigger happy, on those routes for a reason. They're not blind. They're also not shy. Viva Justosia."

Keeping in mind my starkly clear words last, this mistake, loss of marine life is regrettable. The top down orders to the fleet are simple. Safe over sorry. Every time. Suffice to say we are sorry in retrospect. The Captain in question, whose name we are choosing to withhold for obvious reasons, chose to be aggressive in defence of our trade liners.
