Kásmér Széchényi nodded, “Bajorország finds this all quite agreeable. Are there any other barriers standing in our way for what will be the greatest trading mechanism in the world?”

"If there is no opposition or further proposals, I would say that this meeting has reached its outbreak and we can move on to the drafting of the document and ritual ceremonies. The agreement will have to take count all the points discussed, so that I can sign it and present it to the Senate of Remion for its ratification."

Federico Bertone was personally satisfied with the agreement which could clearly be defined as mere business. Remion would never have bound itself politically to such different nations, it was simple business.

"At this time, I am satisfied that the concerns expressed on behalf of the Serbovian government have duly been addressed by section 3 of the document draft. The matter of the CSEAC Agreement will now be presented to the Federal Congress, where it will be debated and voted upon."

"Dear colleagues, I am happy to have reached this agreement," Dr. Schmelzer said, surprised to see that Minister Plesic from Serbovia agreed with the establishment of an organisation he previously deemed an unacceptable breach of sovereignty. "We will be able to toast on a fruitful economic cooperation and a prosperous future."

Then he turned his microphone off, turned to his aide Jean-Marc Vissart, and said: "Da haben wir zusammen mit den Remiern und den Vistarikern die Konferenz gerettet." [Well, we saved the conference, together with the Remians and the Vistarikans.]

After that, he texted to Lord Councillor Birodeins: "Hello Gideon, it is good to see you again. I would like to invite you, Mr. Carderici and Mr. Vissart for a dinner. I know a very good restaurant here in Bécs."

After that, he texted to Minister Bertone: "Dear Minister Bertone, it was a pleasure to meet you and negotiate with you. Together with Lord Councillor Birodeins, Mr. Carderici and your team, we saved the conference."

OOC: Will there be a separate thread with the signatories?

It still struck Asdin Carderici from time to time, just how well his boss and mentor seemed to embrace and inhabit the idealized stereotype of Vistarikan statesmanship. Patient, temperate and in those case where it was possible, subtle, traits perhaps arising from the antiquity and abundance of experience of the Apostolic Kingdom in these or similar matters. These qualities bred a quiet confidence that had allowed Birodeins to push forward with so much of the Vistarikan vision for an interconnected and stable continent - without ever needing to openly push for it. It was just good sense to align one's own goals with the wider currents one road upon as well.

Whatever the case, Carderici couldn't help but revel in the accomplishment of their achievements today, however unlikely it was that his own name be mentioned alongside the Lord Councilor's in the accolades. Which was fair, as it would be Birodeins signature that was commended to posterity here.

Birodeins was himself concerned with a flurry of texts, having already worked his way down the list from Wurdforer Bokaris to Minister Bawer now, the Lord Councilor's own direct superior. It's always a good thing to be able to provide so positive a report to the boss, Carderici told himself, able to read something of the satisfaction on the elder Vistaran's features.

Birodeins turned, hearing his friend moving things along, to which both of the Vistarikans raised cheerful salutes. Not long thereafter the elder man's phone was chiming again, and this time he offered a look at the screen to Carderici.

Whether despite, or in spite of himself, the younger Vistarikan felt himself flush. This was the first time such an invitation had been extended to him to come along with Birodeins, and something about it brought the the now much wider scope of reality into sudden focus.

Leaning closer, and with an almost paternal and knowing smile, Birodeins gave Carderici a pat on the shoulder and said, "You see, young Asdin, it is always good to be friends with the Eiffellanders. You'll have good company, fine dinners and you'll be helping to build a richer world for us all."

Pelasgian Union
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Official Communiqué
To the attention of the members of CSEAC
Propontis, 18 January 2021 (Restricted)

Your Excellencies,

The Pelasgian Union is most impressed by the developments surrounding your organisation, which have set the world toward a path of further interconnectedness, safety and mutual prosperity. To this end, the Pelasgian Union requests that it be allowed to join CSEAC as an observer, with a view to observing the workings of the organisation, so as to potentially join the Agreement on Common Trade, if it observes the said agreement, and organisation as a whole, to be working as intended.
Whereas we understand that Pelasgia is not in the immediate region of CSEAC’s core membership, we nevertheless stress our historic and present trade and other links with the region, as well as our role in the broader areas, as arguments militating in favour of our admission as an observer.

Signed and sealed,

Stylianos Theoktistos
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Government of Pelasgia

We clearly see the benefit of Pelasgian observership of the CSEAC. Therefore, we are positive about this, so that indeed the government of Pelasgia can observe how the CSEAC works, and we have the possibillity to investigate ways to tighten the relations between the CSEAC and Pelasgia, and maybe even joining the CSEAC in the future. But of course the Government of Eiffelland cannot decide on its own what the CSEAC is going to do. Therefore, I call upon the governments of Bajorország, Remion, Vistarika and Serbovia to voice their thoughts.

Dr. Norbert Schmelzer, Minister of Foreign Affairs

OOC: @Bajorország @Remion @Vistarika @Serbovia , I suppose that you signed. @Holy Frankish Empire , did you sign?

OOC: Serbovia has signed but it's awaiting discussions on ratification by the Federal Congress, which in turn is waiting me having enough time off to post.
