Assessment of threats most pertaining to all territories completed. 99% confidence:

1. Natalian Federation
2. Aurarine Republic
3. Northern Cooperative Unions

We reason this with proximity. #1 is closest to all territories. Most able to make war. The opposite also applies. This is the reason we suspect they continue to feign adherence to treaty. Probability of #1 #2 conspiring to imperil security nationale rate at least 50%.

It is the assessment of both ministries that the federation has indeed violated treaty. Concrete proof remains lacking. Imperative Justosia maintain moral high ground. Words are weapons manifest. Suggest continued gestures of support & voicing solidarity with treaty.

Related: in the event of hostilities federation is within range of all immediate response capabilities. Aurarine territory is not. In the event of hostilities Justosia must be seen as the defending party. Current response measures deem so. Regret to inform in the event of certain hostilities the aforementioned demands Justosia/territories be hit firstly. Preemptive action advised against.

Despite recent threats, NCU has been quiet as of late. Suggest continued Level 3 intel gathering. Concluded.

Response time. This time not in the underground defence ministry wing. Semi responses didn't warrant such. HRM sat at the head of a beautiful oak table as all incoming relevant ministers were announced.

"Presenting! The honourable ministers! Minister Delgado of defence!, Minister Torres of foreign! Minister Alejandro of finance! Minister Alvarez of interior! Sub Minister Calderon of intelligence!"

The seats were taken as their sovereign spoke first of course.

"Good ministers employed or otherwise at my word, good morning. You've been briefed. You know I won't suffer your lesser today. The Aurarians gambled, despite the obvious, that us not being able to secure physical proof would mean we'd just take this on the chin. Well the house just won. Our response needs to be PERFECT. Perfect means strong enough to make internationale headlines. Let them know that we know and won't suffer this without a response IE don't fuck with us. TAME enough as not to tip over the boat in these waters. The floor is yours."

Alejandro spoke first.

"Majesty. The SOP? Domestic seizing of Aurarine assets?

"Denied. Too strong." HRM replied.

Torres spoke.

"Personal sanctions against all top level government. Trade sanctions."

Alvarez spoke.

"Majesty I recommend we NOT expel Aurarine nationals living in Justosia. Virtually all of them are already under surveillance. What, if any embassy staff remain.....well we couldn't surveil them harder if we tried."

Calderon approved this assessment with a nod.

Finally Delgado chimed in.

"Majesty. It would seem this course of action is no longer my ministry's jurisdiction or forte. I yield and recommend Sub Minister Calderon speak for our ministry now."

HRM took all of this is in.

"Personal, trade sanctions. Don't touch assets or nationals.....I like the balance. Ascent is given. Well done gentlemen. We're adjourned. Viva Justosia."

Have acknowledged order to convert temporarily decommissioned surveillance frigates into missile frigates. Level One classified. Must liaise with Finance Ministry. Funds generale not available. Must extract from already allocated facets. Please advise.

Its employees couldn't remember, if ever, their ministry had been this busy. It wasn't just the remnants of Defence Readiness One. No. It was also the absorption of the now Intelligence Sub Ministry. They were now one organ. An organ flush with cash, new security, staff, etc. Now the defence exercises with allied Occitania were adding to the workload.

"Has there been any word from the Azraqis yet"? Defence Minister Delgado inquired.

"No minister." An aide replied.

In merely a month the defence minister had risen in prominence. Previously he had been considered an incompetent stand in. Ever since the reorganization & hiring of new advisers however, his stock was now viewed favorably by the palace. Approaching Torres' level.

The defence exercises were integral. Prime for power projection. Which in this instance & in this climate, was deemed a shield. Not only did the Occitan kingdom's defences need to be shored up, but this was a clear signal to other northern nations the great southern kingdom had either quietly or not so quietly deemed threats. Two nations in particular. They need to understand the European order was changing. The north is falling. The south is rising. A mentality that was spreading through their ministry, the military, & the palace like wildfire.

Justosia's tensions with the Northern Cooperative Unions was common knowledge. To the intelligence sub ministry's current knowledge, they've gone quiet. This could be either advantageous, or a red flag, literally. Their approach there had become "wait and see". The Pelasgian Empire on the other hand was becoming a new problem. After the Zionism row, they expelled the Justosian ambassador & the embassy staff. They did this unaware of the number of intelligence assets that were rotated in after their original row months ago. This was sub ministry SOP with nations deemed threats. Just as they had done with Auraria. The Aurarians, to their credit, figured this out. Praise God Yahweh they still lack evidence. The fact that the Pelasgians couldn't was yet more proof to them that the empires, great established powers of Europe, had become lazy & complacent in their bloated glory. Indeed some valuable intel had been returned to the kingdom. Enough for the ministry to quietly deem them a threat to security & sovereignty nationale. Yes, this movement north to a friend is a quiet warning....

There was contentious debate in the defence ministry & Grand Naval Command whether or not to deploy the JRS Francisco III carrier. She was a new, high value asset. However Europe needed to see Justosia was back & not to be pushed around. She handled like a dream. Escorting her & rounding out the group were 2 air defence destroyers. The JRS Tridente & the JRS Mar León. Completing the shield was the escort submarine the JRS Habitante. Their mission was simple & known, destination Occitania. They sailed in internationale waters. These defence exercises were integral to their ally's defence after the war against the Red Menance. They knew they'd be welcomed with open arms by their first & formal allies. As they would the Azraq Empire. Whose permission to pass through their proximal waters they had secured. Full speed ahead.

The Commander of this attache was Lord Carvalho. The very same Commander of the Justosian Allied Force that liberated Brecosta. The only son & heir apparent of 1 of the 6 noble houses.

"Are you excited for these war games Commander?" The ship's Captain asked.

Carvalho looked at him sharply.

"NEVER call them that Captain. If you wish that to remain your rank. That's an order. Those words could literally start a war."

The group began their passage through Azraqi proximal waters. Their destination, Brecosta, would soon be in sight. Everything was proceeding according to the grander plan. Unity. Respect. A true shield.

Now safely in Occitan waters, the crew of the Justosian naval group disembarked. They made landfall & rendezvoued with their Occitan allies. Lord Commander Carvalho shook his counterpart's hand. A jovial embrace. They had much to discuss. The two allies, brothers in arms against the Red Menance, were together again. Some of the Occitan forces hadn't left since the last conflict.

Immediately they began laying the logistical groundwork for the exercises proper as the Justosian ships docked & took shelter.

For several hours now the Justosian force had played invaders as potential real invaders encroached. The Occitan forces repelled them as happens in war games. Fake ammo. Smoke beacons, landing craft, the whole shabang. These standard coastal defence stratagems were old, boring however.

Lord Commander Carvalho, aboard the flagship carrier JRS Francisco, gave the signal. An Occitan missile frigate fired 2 cruise missiles simultaneously from the eastern tip of their waters. Carvalho looked skyward with his binoculars. Then at his timer. He then gave the signal. The JRS Tridente & the JRS Mar Leon simultaneously fired 2 cruise missles to intercept. It was now a split second, pinpoint dance. Barely 10 seconds later both incoming westward missiles successfully intercepted. The new model missile frigates were proving their worth, & there were many more on the way. The command deck on the JRS Francisco III broke into applause & congratulations.

"Captain, make sure those sailing for our dried husk of a mother country, & those sailing for that old, inbred fuck saw & understand this. Fuck with their heads."

Carvalho than addressed his force on the main, secured frequency.

"Brave sailors. These exercises have lasted only seven hours. Yet we have beyond accomplished our objective, mission. We're withdrawing. We've won in ways we will yet explain to you. Congratulations. Brecosta remains secure. The garrisons here have been reinforced. To our hosts. Thank you. As always. We stand with you."

The withdrawn began.

Another night of burning the oil late. This oil was utterly important however.

"Majesty is most reassuring with this move. With this our air defence nationale will not only be healthy, but robust." Grand Air Marshal Alessandro said.

Upon announcing Defence Readiness One, the government declassified to allied Natal the current plans for the Royal Air Force. To build 100 brand new Talon Mach II fighter bombers. This was true. It told the Natalian government it would phase out 100 defunct Talon Mach I's. This was a feint. Roughly a month after the declassification, HRM bought back from Lyon Industries the 50 Mach I's he had sold them for next to nothing. The CEO was a dear personal friend. He then ordered the retrofitting of the Mach I's into Mach II's. Lastly, the remaining 400 million Justos cut from welfare were already allocated to 20 more new Mach II's. This meant Natal, & whoever else they may be conspiring with would think Justosia had 200 warplanes. When actually they would soon have 320. The Natalian government thought they had played the Great Southern Kingdom of Justosia. Even more insulting, him personally. This along with the ultra secret development of the 3 new generation missile subs effectively, virtually made the declassification to the federation useless. Or useful for their false sense of security. HRM felt vindicated, avenged. More than that though. His most solemn duty as Supreme Commander-In-Chief was well done again. Yet another curveball from this naval intelligence veteran. Justosia was rising.

"Flattery will get you everywhere, Lord Alessandro." HRM said chuckling. They enjoyed their glasses of red.

"Majesty should know there will of course be a.....slight performance difference between the retrofitted & new Mach II's. We don't see it as a real problem."

"See that it isn't Grand Marshal."

The two raised their glasses to the Royal Air Force, to Justosia.

The nationale standard flew gracefully in the warm southern Himyari winds as this Batallion drilled at the range. While northern recruits froze outside. The 1st Army trained merrily.

"You tired of playing war yet Private?"

"No Private. All I wanna do." He replied as he squinted to miss right side.

"HA! Watch this shit." The other Private hit dead center. Perfect kill.

"Whatever. What do ya want the queen to blow you?"

"I dare you to let the Sergeant hear you say that."

The Sergeant, who had not heard this ultra pithy remark ran up to them nonetheless.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LADIES BABBLING FOR!? SHOOT AND HIT THE DAMN TARGET! NOW!"

Defence Minister Delgado, along with Grand Admiral of the Royal Navy Carvalho sat in video conference with HRM.

"Majesty, Phase Three of Operation Proteger has been completed without incident. It's effectively ours now. Nothing will happen without us knowing."

"You've done well Lord Carvalho."

"Majesty, may I inquire as to why I was summoned?" Delgado asked.

"Minister, Europe is a powder keg presently because certain players cannot accept the changing order and our ascension. We quite obviously cannot discount the possibility that these radical states would act well, radically. Therefore I'm ordering all Level One Defence Ministry mainframes be moved to the most underground basement level. As well as your office and that of Intelligence Sub Minister Calderon. This just makes perfect preventative, strategic sense.

Other nations run by those who live in the past maintain their's blatantly, publicly, as status symbols. Pity these archaic fools. May God Yahweh not have mercy on them."

"Yes Majesty." Minister Delgado acknowledged.

"You will relay to the sub minister my concerns for Phase Four of Proteger. From what I know, there's no viable way to execute. Both Lion's Dens have been compromised. The Lions have gone dark. Assume KIA. I need an update from him, immediately. These are my orders gentlemen. Make them so. We're adjourned. Viva Justosia."

In accordance with your orders for basic preventative strategems, I have ordered every naval base, & port fully covered with proximal submarine & torpedo nets. This is in addition to routine Implarian submarine & reconnaissance plane patrols. Among other measures. There are now 5 layers of defence between our ships & any potential enemies.

Furthermore, request permission to triple base & coastal security from doubled. No inch of our coastal anything should be left unguarded. Please advise. Viva Justosia.
