Circumstances, present or otherwise, often leaves this Office for the Administration of Government with little diplomatic or political common ground - and thus with little to say regarding the conduct or policies of the People's Republic of Ostmark in one way or the other. In this case however we are compelled to voice some degree of admiration and respect for the initiatives undertaken in your Wise Leader's Rural Development Plan.

As you might already be aware, our own Confederated Republic has for some time placed no small degree of emphasis upon the careful and continuous development and transformation of rural Beautancus, which we feel to be the "true heart" of Cussian society and productive potential. Where so many other nations would farm the occupational possibilities of their own countrymen and people out to foreign shores, it has been the Cussian experience that rural minds and rural workers are more than capable of rising to the challenges presented to them, unto the complete reinvigoration of entire industrial complexes.

The empowerment of the rural citizenry, and their inclusion within the maintenance of the nation's welfare and its civil discources are absolutely vital components in ensuring the best and most healthy popular electorate for a modern state. For the part of this Office, that evidences a real understanding of social dynamics, rather than the hellbent and wrongheaded obsession with forcing ever more of humanity in zones of urban blight and the inescapable moral decay that it breeds.

Regardless of those general political distinctions between our nations, we salute Ostmark's efforts in this endeavor. Never let it be said that Beautancus does not offer its respects, when and where they are sincerely warranted.

WIEN (Ostmark) - Many foreigners who had visited the People's Republic of Ostmark expressed their admiration at the fact that the country was stepping up National-Syndicalist construction before the eyes of the world without any slightest hesitation and vacillation, even in the face of such pernicious sanctions moves unprecedented in history that others must have fallen to their knees.

Our fatherland, the People's Republic of Ostmark, though small in size of its territory and population, has achieved world-startling miraculous successes and brought about historic changes in the face of severe trials. Credit for this must go to the single-hearted unity, the most powerful weapon of the Volksrepublik. Single-minded unity literally means the unity based on a single heart.

To look back, the history of the National-Syndikalistische Volkspartei is precisely that of single-hearted unity with which it has emerged victorious and advanced. The tradition of single-hearted unity in the People's Republic of Ostmark was created by our Wise Leader Horst Grasser at the dawn of the ostmarkian national revolution.

In the whole period leading the revolution spanning nearly four years he developed the National-Syndicalist People's Party into a party in which the unitary character of the leader’s ideology and leadership has been securely guaranteed and a motherly party which has struck its roots deep among the broad sections of the masses and formed close ties of kinship with them.

Regarding it as the nature of the NSVP and its main characteristic to love and serve the people and form a harmonious whole with them, he raised the slogan “We serve the people!” and led officials to make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people with boundless affection for them.

One day scores of late November 2018, an official received a report that an elementary school had run out of books. Thinking that the matter was unimportant, he wrote down a few words about it in the last part of his daily report to be submitted to the Wise Leader. He was cross that an official from a subordinate unit should have raised such a trivial matter.

The Weiser Fuhrer summoned the official and rebuked him for having written it down in the last part of the report when such things as books are necessities essential for a proficuous development of pupils in elementary schools.

He continued in a serious tone of voice: "Such matters relate to the people’s life and their interests, whether big or small, and they should be the first items in a daily report; we should give top priority to their interests before anything else and solve the problems related to them on a preferential basis; this should be the order in dealing with all work. The people always come first."

Our Wise Leader administers benevolent politics to make all the people form a harmonious whole that shares ideology with their leader, breathes the same breath as him and keeps pace with him, and led the efforts to significantly strengthen single-hearted unity during the harsh conditions handed down to us by the previous corrupt capitalist regime in the days immediatly following the liberation of the national working classes by the hand of Kamerad Grasser and the ever-glorious National-Syndicalist People's Party.

The hostile forces claimed that the People's Republic of Ostmark would collapse in three days or three months. But the women and men of Ostmark, gathered around our Weiser Fuhrer and the Partei, heroically fought against the ever-increasing sanctions of the imperialists to isolate and stifle them. Quite contrary to their expectations of Europe's loan sharks and imperialist capitalist cliques, National-Syndicalist Ostmark grew stronger and made rapid progress under the leadership of People's Chancellor Horst Grasser.

Even though everything — materials, foods, funds, manpower and technologies - was in short supply, the Ostmarkian people created everything from scratch and turned impossibility into possibility with their unshakeable faith that they can do anything when their Wise Leader is determined.

The People's Republic of Ostmark has now risen to the status of a fully-fledged industrial power and built up the foundations for building an economic giant with hi-tech industries as its strong pillar. Farmlands across the country have been realigned as befits the land of National-Syndicalist Ostmark and a large number of monumental structures and modern bases for cultural and leisure activities representative of high ideals and standard of civilization of the Ostmarkian people.

Today they are achieving brilliant successes in all aspects of politics, the economy, national defence and culture, closely united around Wise Leader Horst Grasser.

Since the victory of the ever-glorious National-Syndikalistische Volkspartei, he has wisely led the Volksrepublik Ostmark to victory and glory through guidance in all the state affairs.

Horst Grasser is the peerless statesman as he performed great patriotic exploits beyond the imagination of other state leaders in a matter of nine months. His idea and line that indicated a shortcut to a powerful and prosperous country based on the correct analysis of the developing times and the trend of the situation serve as the banner of sure victory to bring earlier the accomplishment of the cause of National-Syndicalism for their scientific accuracy, truthfulness, attraction and vitality.

The amazing changes in the People's Republic of Ostmark and its growth speed are indicative of the wise guidance of the Wise Leader. Horst Grasser has considerably raised the international prestige and global clout of the Volksrepublik Ostmark through independent diplomacy. His absolute prestige is the international position of National-Syndicalist Ostmark which defends workers rights and promotes proletarian solidarity.

LUDWIGSTADT AM SEE (Ostmark) - It is a Tuesday in July, eigth o'clock in the morning. Thousands of people line the decorated streets in the small North-Western Ostmarkian town of Ludwigstad am See, a jewel hidden in the uncontaminated Ostmarkian alps. The newly crowned Schutzenkönig, or King of the Marskmen, strides with pomp and ceremony through the town,

Another high point of the parade are the scores of men in green suits with funny wooden rifles on their shoulders – these are the marksmen from the shooting clubs, proudly strutting their stuff in front of the ordinary townsfolk. Scenes from a Freikorpsfest, the town’s event of the year – every year, every summer month.

The Freikorpsfest is a very Ostmarkian, gemanian institution. It is celebrated in many towns and villages throughout the land, and its high season is between May and early September. "It is impossible to say exactly how many of them take place," said Vizekanzlerin Andrea Grasser who attended the event. The ambassadors of the Kingdom of Elben and the West Engell Republic were also invited to the celebrations, to renew the cultural and historic ties between Ostmark and Elben, aswell as the Ostmarkian community of Eisgarten "The Freikorpsfest is a moment of celebration and gathering for all ostmarkians, wherever they are. It is a chance for us to rediscover and remember our origins and our centuries old traditions, which we consider to be sacred" added the Vice-Chancellor.

The strongholds are very definitely in the North rather than the South of the country and more likely to be in villages than in towns and cities. Ludwigstadt am See claims to put on the largest Freikorpsfest in Ostmark. Ostmarkians are quite simply proud of their long tradition of Freikorps fest. They celebrate the adventures and endeavours of the Freikorps, or Free Corps, who initially served as the local militia from the mid 15th century up to the early 18th century, when they were replaced by institutional military forces such as the Reichswehr, the land forces of the Kingdom of Ostmark, and reinvented themselves as mercenary companies.

"Some festivals even claim to be older than they really are. They claim to have originated in the Kingdom of Elben, a tradition brought to Ostmark by early elbener settlers." said the Vizekanzlerin. In actual fact, shooting clubs originated in early modern times. They were probably initiated in the 17th century by honourable citizens, who took up crossbows and rifles to keep order in their town. This went on until around the time of King Ludwig I in the 18th century, when their function of keeping order was replaced by today’s popular festival character with lots of dancing and the excuse for a beer or two among the many members of the local Freikorp shooting club.

Generally speaking, ostmarkians predict a rosy future for their Freikorpsfests. They will continue to be the major festivals of the year - especially in the villages. With their solid structures, the Freikorps also have an important social significance. The young generation gets acquainted with the traditions from an early age, playing in the village marching band or trumpet and kettledrum band.

VOLKSKANZLER GRASSER VISITS NEWLY CONSTRUCTED APARTMENT BLOCKS.

WIEN (Ostmark) - Today Volkskanzler Horst Grasser visited the new residential neighborhoods in the outskirts of Wien, where the crews of the People's Labour Service have been working non-stop since mid October 2018 to fullfil the request of the Central Committee of the National-Syndikalistische Volkspartei and guarantee the right to adequate housing and shelter to every woman and man in the People's Republic of Ostmark.

The Wise Leader provided fundamental field guidance to the heroic men and women of the Volksarbeitsdienst and actively took part to construction efforts, which will be officially ultimated with the planting of over 400 trees and the inauguration of a public park.

The Volkskanzler met several Ostmarkian families who recently moved in the newly constructed apartment blocs and listened to their requests, opinions and concerns. When the residents lamented the lack of a local grocery store, the Wise Leader instructed the chief of the local chapter of the People's Labour Service to proceed as ordered and fullfil the requests of the local population by the end of summer "The People must always come first" said the People's Chancellor. With him he brought presents such as clothes, toys and books for children and pupils of the recently built local elementary school.

Heinrich Obenaus: Good morning Volkskanzler Grasser, much has changed since our last interview. You've recently met First Secretary Moravscik in the city of Belgarsk, a meeting that led to the birth of the Mutual Defense Treaty between the People's Republic of Ostmark and the Kadikistani Union, also known as "Belgarsk Pact".

Horst Grasser: It is always a pleasure to meet you Mr Obenaus. Yes, the meeting in Belgarsk has indeed reshaped the geopolitical situation of Germania. For the better, of course. The treaty also included a number of economic deals that will undoubtely bring more prosperity here in Ostmark, and streghten the economic partnership between our country and our eastern neighbors. We [Ostmark and Kadikistan] realized we have a common goal: the liberation of the working class, the emancipation of the proletariat, and a common, necessary defense of our sovereignty and independence in the face of threatening international, capitalist lobbies. The Belgarsk Pact is only a natural evolution of the strong friendship between our peoples.

Heinrich Obenaus: Given Eiffelland-Retalia's concern, do you think this treaty will eventually lead to a deterioration of the Ostmark-Eiffelland diplomatic relations?

Horst Grasser: No, not on Ostmark's side at least. During my last meeting with the eiffellander chancellor i made it very clear that Ostmark means no harm to its western neighbors. We have no interest in waging war against anyone, but we were, and we still are, deeply concerned by the presence of post-delegationist forces in Germania. The Belgarsk Pact is not a military alliance, but a mutual defense treaty. Mutual defense treaties are tools of peace, not war. I've always promoted peace, but i've never said that Ostmark would not fight in defense of its independence and national sovereignty.

Heinrich Obenaus: However, the aftermaths of the 7 Days War seem to be very much alive, and with the deployment of Post-Delegationist Forces in the Grand Duchy of Lars it seems that saber rattling and military escalations are once again dominating the germanian landscape.

Horst Grasser: That is also true. But Ostmark had no role in the 7 Days War and i think it is worth noting that during that conflict, our country was on the path to dissolution and collapse. Only the heroic deeds of the workers of Ostmarks and the National-Syndicalist People's Party allowed us to steer away from such catastrophic path. Regardless, Germania and Gallia can either argue about the past for the next thousand years, or concentrate on the future. During the Long Sea Cooperation Initiative meeting i said, and i quote, "We can either react as one against foreign hostile forces, or witness the rise of post-delegationism in our backyard". I was, sadly, right. Post delegationist forces are not only terrorizing the Long Sea - now they are building military bases and arming collaborationist governments in the process. This is happening in the heart of Germania. Had other Gallo-Germanian actors listened to our concerns and our warnings, today's tensions would not exist on these terms.

Heinrich Obenaus: Speaking of Ostmark's foreign policy, after the birth of the Belgarsk-Pact, do you still consider the Serazinist Republic of Serenierre as a key economic partner?

Horst Grasser: Of course. The genuine friendship and cooperation with Serenierre was, is, and will always be a pillar of our foreign policy. Trade between us and Serenierre is flourishing, technical cooperation in the field of oil exploration and drilling is already giving tangible results and we expect to begin oil production by the end of summer. The Serazinist Republic of Serenierre is a key economic partner of the People's Republic of Ostmark, and nothing can change the nature of our partnership. In times when Ostmark was struggling to provide food and medicines for its citizens, Serenierre approached us and offered us a plethora of economic deals that have brought incommensurable benefits for our peoples. Most of the insuline shots we provide for our citizens affected by diabetes are manufactured in Serenierre. Much of the food products we find in our shelves are also imported from Serenierre, we must never forget this. Ostmark and its almost six million inhabitants will always be in debt with the people of Serenierre for their show of camaraderie and proletarian solidarity. They knew our finances were crumbling, they knew our economic had defaulted only a few years earlier, but they have not turned their back on our people despite the difficulties.

Heinrich Obenaus: Let's change the subject. Do you think Post-Delegationist forces will eventually attack the few countries that vehemently oppose them, like Ostmark?

Horst Grasser: You see, this is exactly the point. The attacks have been carried out already, against the Hyacinthe, against the Aurarian Republic. Weapons and military forces have already been deployed, or will be deployed soon, sanctions have been enacted, threats have been issued. Ostmark is under attack as we speak, so far metaphorically speaking, and it is my duty as People's Chancellor to defend our country from foreign aggressors. Like i said we want peace and prosperity for all the countries of Europe, but at the same time we must be ready for the other case too and accept the fact that capitalist imperialism, embodied in its extremist Post-Delegationist nature, don't want peace but seek to export their system through threats and ultimatums.

Heinrich Obenaus: Is this the reason that prompted you to accept Kadikistani's offer of a mutual defense agreement?

Horst Grasser: The Kadikistani Union was perfectly aware of Ostmark's position. They approached us as equals, they applauded the achievements of the National-Syndicalist People's Party and have shown me nothing but true respect and admiration. A genuine friendship, and incommensurable desire to strenghten the relationship between our countries and people, in the name of proletarian solidarity and friendship. For me, and all the people of Ostmark, it is both a privilege and an honor to be recognized as heroes of the working class by the carriers of the torch of the revolution initiated by Kamerad Andrej Rurik a century ago.

Heinrich Obenaus: The Status-Quo treaty between the Pelasgian Empire and the Kadikistani Union has so far guaranteed peace between these two major powers, do you think a similar solution could be found to settle down the troubled political landscape of Gallia and Germania?

Horst Grasser: I've always admired the stance of the Pelasgian Empire and the Kadikistani Union and the responsible, pragmatic relations between those two nations. The Status-Quo treaty, just like the Belgarsk-Pact, is a tool of peace. It secures both peace and friendly terms between two different countries and different peoples. It ensured an age of prosperity for both nations, which in my opinion represent pillars of international politics. I cannot imagine a world without the Pelasgian Empire, and its pluri-millenarian history, or the Kadikistani Union and the unvaluable inspiration it emanated, and still emanates, for all the oppressed and enslaved working classes of Europe. If only Germania and Gallia could follow their example, Europe would probably enter a new, unprecedented age of peace and harmony, in which nations and countries with deep political and economic, social and cultural differences could cooperate for the prosperity and the well being of the citizens and all the working classes.

Heinrich Obenaus: Now the last question. What are the medium and long term plans of the People's Government in the fields of economy and social reforms?

Horst Grasser: As always, we will continue to build a society founded on proletarian solidarity and equality, social justice. We will continue guarantee housing and shelter, social assistance, free healthcare and free education for the citizens of Ostmark and we will concentrate all our efforts to alleviate the suffering of the sick. None shall starve and none shall freeze, this is our sacred motto. In the medium term we seek to finally reach full employment and equally redistribute the new financial resources we gathered in the past nine months thanks to the heavy economic reforms implemented by the People's Government and the National-Syndicalist People's Party. In the People's Republic of Ostmark, nobody gets left behind. In the long term, we will build an ideal Workers' and Farmers' state in which inequalities do not exist, and every human being will enjoy a life worth to be lived. We will guarantee everyone a free and honourable existence, as mandated by the constitution of the People's Republic of Ostmark.

Heinrich Obenaus: Thank you for your time Volkskanzler Grasser, it's been a pleasure.

Our eternal and ever-glorious ideology serves as the most important guideline as it clarifies that preserving the national and syndicalist character is fundamental to ensuring the independent development of our state and herein lies its great significance.

The national character and syndicalist character are the life of our country and nation that guarantees its prosperity and the victorious advance of the revolution and construction. The historical experience and lesson show that preserving the national character and syndicalist character is the key issue decisive of victory or failure in our revolution and construction, and the one vital to the destiny of the country and nation.

Preserving our way of life and our distinctively Ostmarkian national identity provides a firm guarantee for the country and nation to defend and glorify its independent dignity and make steady progress with true quality as befits a state. With unquestionable loyalty to our Wise Leader Horst Grasser, we will follow the indications of the Partei and mercilessly crush the enemies of the revolution and the working class.

We live in an era when the forces of socialism are growing and strengthening immeasurably, and the forces of financial turbocapitalist imperialism weaken with each day.

It is a great joy for the Ostmarkian people, who are actively defending their historic achievement, the National-Syndicalist revolution, and are concentrating their efforts to build a society founded on social justice, equality and proletarian solidarity, to be a member of the powerful socialist camp in which it sees a reliable guarantee of their final victory.

The Volksrepublik Ostmark must henceforth continue to take an active part in the struggle for a durable peace and security in Germania, preserve fraternal friendship and solidarity as one's dearest possession, and strengthen the political, economic, and cultural cooperation with the Kadikistani Union, the Polesian People's Republic, and the other countries where the working classes successfully broke the chains of capitalist exploitation and oppression.

At the same time we must firmly hold to the principle of the peaceful coexistence of countries with different social systems and devote efforts in order to establish political and business ties with all peace-loving countries of the world based at the same time on mutual respect for sovereignty and equality.

We must vigorously fight the aggression of Post-Delegationist, Globalist and Zionist lobbies in Germania and the resurgence of imperialist militarism. We should also support in every possible way the peace policy of the peace-loving countries of the world headed by the Kadikistani Union who are vigilantly keeping track of the treacherous intrigues of enemies striving to unleash a new war in Germania, further strengthen our defensive might, and firmly preserve the freedom and independence of the Volksrepublik.

THE GREAT PEASANT WAR: A DISTINCTIVELY OSTMARKIAN REVOLT
For centuries, Ostmarkians sought to defeat capitalist oppression and exploitation.

WIEN (Ostmark) - The Great Ostmarkian Peasant War (1498-1501) was one of the most violent uprising in Germania's early modern history. Historians agree it was a precursor of the glorious National-Syndicalist revolution in which the latter finds its historical roots, a proof of the centuries old desire of the Ostmarkian people to create a just and equal society against all forms of exploitation and oppression of the working classes.

The uprising engulfed most of the Herzogtum Ostermark (Duchy of Ostmark) and created a huge crisis for Duke Fridericus von Wien. The Great Ostmarkian Peasant War was a crucial moment in the development of Ostmark's national identity which was built around the concept of proletarian solidarity and the People's Community Principle, as explained by our Weiser Fuhrer Horst Grasser in his book "Unser Kampf" (Our Struggle).

In fact, the Great Ostmarkian Peasant War were a series of revolts aimed at overthrowing the existing feudal socio-economic system in the Duchy of Ostmark. The Revolt not only involved peasants, but also merchants, artisans, and members of the minor nobility. They all united to change the prevailing political system. There were many reasons for the outbreak.

The Ostmarkian Peasants wanted to safeguard a hard-earned prosperity that they believed was under threat from the nobility. Ostmarkian peasants had become relatively prosperous since the birth of the Duchy of Ostmark, however, they felt that the nobility was threatening their prosperity. Feudalism had been greatly weakened but many of the rights and privileges of the Ostmarkian nobility still remained. They used these traditional entitlements to seize more of the peasants' wealth through taxes and dues, in the same way modern capitalist financial elites oppress the working classes of Europe, striping them of the right to own the means of production and forcing them into submission by dint of debt interests payments and usury.

In Wien, the peasants published the "Manifesto of the Free Peasants of Ostmark" and these later were adopted by other rebels elsewhere and they became the manifesto of the movement. The manifesto demanded the dismantling of much of the old feudal system. Some of the articles also demanded that payments to the church be only spent locally and that local communities had a greater role in the governing of their churches. It sought a social, economic and political revolution in Ostmark. Manifesto was published and spread throughout Ostmark and this inspired more peasants to take up arms. It seemed that members of the lesser nobility and the urban elite would side with the peasants and the Ducal government and the great nobles were forced to make concessions to these groups.

Once they had received their concessions they sided with the great nobles. This allowed the nobles to come together to defeat the peasant armies, that had seized large areas of Ostmark. In the southwest of Ostmark, the rebels heartland the nobles formed the Ostmarkian League. This League was a military alliance of Counts and it formed its own army. Militarily, the nobles had all the advantages of professional officers and heavy cavalry.

The heroic peasants of Ostmark resisted at times fiercely and circled wagons to defend themselves, but the armies of the nobles eventually prevailed. The professional army of Duke Fridericus von Wien soon had the upper-hand, they killed thousands of peasants in battle and executed many others. Those who surrendered had to pay hefty fines. The Peasants soon became stronger and the largest band was led by local hero Florian Seidel. At the Battle of Tuchersfeld (1501), the Ostmarkian League shattered the peasant army. They later captured and executed Florian Seidel. Sporadic resistance continued until 1502 but the Grear Peasant Revolt had been completely defeated, with the deaths of up to 40,000 people of all classes.

It is not just a tactical countermeasure for meeting a requirement of the changed situation and overcoming a temporary obstacle standing in the way of advance, but the invariable political line the National-Syndicalist People's Party and the Ostmarkian people have confirmed and consistently maintained as a fundamental orientation and the mode of development in building National-Syndicalism.

WIEN (Ostmark) - Almost 150,000 people have taken part in a march through Wien in what was promoted as the first Ostmarkian anti-war rally. Organisers estimated the crowd at 150,000. But a People's Police source, while not giving an official figure, told Die Volksrepublik the organisers' estimate was "quite realistic" and that the number "could be close to 150,000." The rally passed off peacefully with a carnival atmosphere on Saturday.

Many carried banners reading "Never again a mother shall mourn her son in woe," quoting the national anthem of the People's Republic of Ostmark and "Ostmark repudiates war". A spokesperson of the National-Syndicalist People's Party said "The atmosphere here is wonderful. Absolutely perfect. It shows that a new generation against war is emerging from the ashes of the old imperialist and capitalist society."

"It's totally clear that this is a war for supremacy and avid grasping for land and resources, a war for imperialism, a war for capitalist exploitation" said Vice Chancellor Andrea Grasser who attended the rally "What is being perpetrated against the people of Burgundy is a vile crime against humanity. This is the first mass anti-war demonstration and I think it's vital it has a real impact. Ostmark stands by the side of the weak, the injured, the sick, and all the victims of this human tragedy" she added.

A ring of steel has been placed around the Ostmarkian capital, with shops closed and the city centre sealed off, but police on duty were in their normal uniforms rather than riot gear. The demonstration has been sponsored by the Youth League of the National-Syndicalist People's Party and a gathering of ostmarkian anti-globalisation and anti-capitalist groups. Some 20 trains and hundreds of special buses began arriving in the early hours, bringing demonstrators from across the country.

Only self-support and national pride guarantee the sovereignty of the glorious nation and its existence and development.

Holding aloft the banner of self-support and national pride of the National-Syndikalistische Volkspartei is a bed-rock principle to be consistently maintained and thoroughly applied in the whole process of building the National-Syndicalist State, not a temporary countermeasure for breaking the present deadlock. It is an important requirement for demonstrating before Europe the dignity and might of the Volksrepublik Ostmark and guarantee the dignity and prosperity of the Republic.

The people strong in self-respect pave the way for self-reliance and self-sufficiency without the slightest vacillation as it is an urgent requirement for speeding up the National-Syndicalist economic construction. If one is strong in self-support and national pride, one can do anything and conquer any fortress.

There are not a few things that are in short supply for the Ostmarkian people at present. WIEN (Ostmark) - Over the recent months the imperialists and reactionaries have been resorting to every scheme possible to stifle our country, which is advancing invariably holding the banner of National-Syndicalism under the leadership of the National-Syndicalist People's Party and the Wise Leader. The more desperate the enemy is in his attempt, the higher we must hold the banner, crushing the enemy’s counterrevolutionary offensive by means of revolutionary offensive.

Although the imperialists and reactionaries are making desperate attempts to obliterate socialism in Europe, socialism is cherished as deep as ever in the hearts of the revolutionary people all over the world and is advancing on its track. Socialism is the ideal of humanity and that socialism achieves victory is a law of the development of history. No matter how desperately they attempt to stamp out socialism, the imperialists and reactionaries cannot reverse the tide of history.

Today the revolutionary people of Ostmark, under the banner of the National-Syndicalist Revolution, are fighting resolutely to defend and advance the cause of socialism. It is doubtless that the manoeuvring of the imperialists and reactionaries will be frustrated and National-Syndicalism will make an uninterrupted advance and emerge victorious in the long run by the struggle of the heroic workers of the People's Republic of Ostmark. In defending National-Syndicalism in the present times it is of great importance to check the abuses of every description the imperialists and bourgeois restorationists are levelling against our nation and bring the righteousness and advantages of the National-Syndicalist cause home to National-Syndicalist People's Party members and other working people.

With an unshakable faith in the victory of National-Syndicalist, we must approach the present situation on an optimistic point of view and staunchly defend the sovereignty and independence of the Volksrepublik Ostmark.

VOLKSKANZLER GRASSER VISITS WILHELMSTADT'S POWER STATION

WILHELMSTADT AM SEE (Ostmark) - After being briefed on the circumstances of the construction of the power station and its situation, Volkskanzler Horst Grasser looked round several parts of the power station including the dam and a generating room, learning in detail about the construction, technical equipment and power generation.

It is admirable that Wilhelmstad Municipality is set to build power stations by its own efforts and put the power production on a normal footing in hearty response to the Partei's policy on building minor hydraulic power stations suited to the specific local conditions and settling the power problem, he said, speaking highly of the praiseworthy feats performed by the people in the municipality who created the treasure of national value in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude promoted by the National-Syndicalist People's Party.

He said that there are not a few examples in which cities and municipalities fall short of getting benefits from minor power stations due to water shortage that led to failure to ensure capacity generation of electricity even though they were built at the cost of massive building materials because the construction was not based on accurate survey of hydraulic resources in the specific areas and on scientific calculation of the amount of electricity generation.

If Wilhelmstadt's power station installs more power generators as planned and produces electricity at full capacity, it will please the people as it can fully supply power to residential areas, to say nothing of the industrial factories and co-op farms in the municipality, he said, repeatedly praising the indomitable fighting spirit displayed by the officials and working people of Wilhelmstadt am See in which they provided an important boon for the wealthy economic life of the municipality with strenuous efforts.

Noting that he would feel relieved only when he does something to help the people in Wilhelmstadt who did a big thing without being known to others, he promised to send generator and transformers without fail, which have not yet been installed at the power station, on his own responsibility. He gave warm encouragement, hoping that technicians and engineers would ensure the good operation of the power station, a great treasure, to make the people substantially benefit from it and to contribute to the development of local industry and improvement of the people's living and thus prosper as a beautiful area, good to live in and develop with vitality. He was accompanied by officials of the local chapter of the National-Syndicalist People's Party and Wilhelmstadt's mayor, Miss Greta Rosenbaum.

WIEN (Ostmark) - Achieving a continuous improvement in the people's standard of living is the supreme principle governing the activities of the National-Syndikalistische Volkspartei. The Partei bears full responsibility for the future of our people and strives to provide a more prosperous and cultured life for them. Our Party's efforts to build National-Syndikalismus under the programme to model the whole society on the Grasserist Idea are aimed, ultimately, at making the people more prosperous. There is no more important task for the National-Syndicalist People's Party than that of improving the people's standard of living by conducting economic construction successfully.

A continuous improvement in the standard of living of the people is essential if we are to bring the superiority of our National-Syndicalist system fully into play. Socialism is the most superior social system in the world and under it the popular masses are the masters of everything in society and everything in society serves the masses. The genuine superiority of the socialist political, social and economic system is expressed in many fields of social life, but it is particularly evident in the fact that the state takes full responsibility for the material and cultural well-being of the people.

In order to give full play to the advantages of National-Syndicalism under which the popular masses are masters of everything in society and everything in society serves them, we must radically improve the people's standard of living so that they can enjoy an independent and creative life to the full not only in the political sphere but also in the material and cultural fields.

A great improvement in the people's standard of living is also essential in order to permanently heal the wounds of the Days of Sorrow and enhance the dignity and prestige of the Volksrepublik Ostmark abroad. When this is done, the oppressed working classes of Germania and Europe will look at the People's Republic of Ostmark as a beacon of hope against capitalist exploitation.
