Results for Round 3 are complete! Touzen, Ivernia, and Tolvix continue to be leaders in their groups. With Jurchen Republic's win today over Vestrland (2-0), Jurchen Republic steals the first place spot in Group 2 from Cantignia.

And today's matches concludes Round 4. Touzen, Jurchen Republic, Ivernia, and Tolvix continue to cling on to their current position as leaders. Will Round 5's matches which include matchups between first and second ranked Touzen and Central Centralia, as well as Ivernia and Franken, bring upsets and possibly topple the leaders from their positions, or will the current leaders prevail and widen their lead between them and the rest of the group? Or even, will a new, unexpected leader arise out of Round 5's matches?

Round 5's matches have officially concluded. This round saw the fall of two of last round's leaders, as new leaders Central Centralia and Vestrland are the new leaders in their groups. Meanwhile, Tolvix and Ivernia continue to cling on to the leader positions in their groups; however with Ivernia's stunning loss and Yelshiva's shocking win today, the gap between first and second in these groups is narrowing. What will be in store for Round 6's matches?

Today's matches will conclude Round 6. We are now officially midway through the regular league, and anything is still possible before the playoffs. However, it appears that the likelyhood of teams such as Group 2 leaders Ivernia and second place Franken are much greater of making it to the playoffs with crucial wins this round. The old leaders still clinging on to first place are Ivernia in Group 2 and Vestrland in Group 3. However, in Group 3 all four teams are within fairly close range of each other statistics-wise and any team can claim the lead. The new leaders for this round are Yelshiva for Group 4, and Touzen reclaiming the lead after a big win over The Fennian Union. As we start the second half of the EFL Winter 2013-2014, which teams will shine and which teams will fall?

The second half of the EFL began this week with Round 7. This round is practically another successful round for the current leaders, as Touzen, Ivernia, Vestrland, and Yelshiva all retain their lead once again. However, Ivernia suffered a loss against Tyrrhenia, which was quite stunning. Luckily for them, Franken lost as well, which means that Ivernia will lead for at least another round. Next round will revisit some old classic rivalries once more, as Ivernia and Franken are going head to head again next round. It seems that we are starting to get a somewhat decent idea of which teams will make the playoffs, however, anything is still possible.

Round 8 is officially complete, which brings us to the final third of the EFL before the playoffs. This round brought with it some surprises, as well as triumphs for leaders as they widen their lead over their counterparts. (We're referring to you, Vestrland and Touzen). Meanwhile, Group 4 continues to be a virtually equally matched group as the difference between first and last is a mere two points. Franken and Ivernia continue to battle for leader in Group 3, as Tyrrhenia is losing ground and may see elimination by next round if they do not win (they will still complete all of their matches). Aurarine Republic would be the other team that is at major risk for elimination, but Round 9 may just be able to save them. As we enter the final third of the EFL, we would like to thank all the participating nations once again for allowing their national teams to play in this league.

Round 9 is officially over. This round has brought the new classifications as seen in the table, with four teams unable to win the group; however, they can qualify through a second place spot. Three of the four groups have dominant teams for the most part, but Group 4 remains a fight to the death. There are only three rounds left, and next round may give us new group winners and officially eliminated teams. Even at this stage in the league, anything is still possible, and the teams will want to show their best skills and give all they have in these last three rounds.

Can I join the league?

I greatly appreciate your interest, however, we're already most of the way through the league, so I am not quite sure... however, I want to have some sort of elimination-style tournament soon, so I'll let you in on that (or you can always make something up of your own- I'm pretty sure many are willing to participate. I was going to have a league per season, but after the brief discussion with Cantignia, it's better to let the teams rest for a while and then go back to having another league.

If you want to, we can easily collaborate on some sort of football cup or tournament of some sort. However, 1) it will have to involve national teams not involved in the current EFL or 2) it will have to be club-based teams (not national teams) or 3) you will have to wait until after the league is over (in March) to have a league of your own.

Actually, I have a puppet national team that is in this league (Tolvix) that I could easily withdraw and replace you with in the league, but I'm not sure yet that the other participating nations will approve of this notion. I honestly am okay with it, since it is just a puppet nation; it's just about how the other nations will react is what I'm worried about. Perhaps I can do a referendum to see if the other nations participating are OK with you joining at this point. If it is a no, then you can just wait for the next league or do what I suggested above.

Thanks for your interest!

Round 10 has concluded. This round brought the qualification of one team to the playoffs, Vestrland, and the first team to be eliminated, Tyrrhenia. Touzen and Franken also have a spot guaranteed in the playoffs, but whether they will finish first or second in their groups is not known. Group 4 continues to be a group of death for sure, but Valkany has gained a three point lead over second place giving their team a very slight edge over the other teams. Round 11 and 12 will be the most important rounds of the league as they will determine who will make it to the playoffs and who will be sent back to their home countries.

Round 11 has come to a conclusion. This round saw the qualifications of several teams, as well as the unfortunate elimination of those teams. After next round, as of now Aurarine Republic, Sylvania, Østveg, and Tyrrhenia will return to their homes in unfortunate defeat. We applaud these teams for participating in this historical event. However, Touzen, Vestrland, Ivernia, and Franken will all stay for at least another two weeks in Central Centralia to compete for the cup. Three of the four groups now have definitive winners and losers in their groups, although groups 1 and 2 still need a second place winner, and Round 12 will decide who stays and who goes home. And lastly, as for Group 4, all we can really say is... May the odds be ever in your favor ;)
