Innovation in engine technique has been and always will be one of the focus points of the Eiffellandian car industry. And that pays off. Our diesel engines, for instance, are even built into the 5 meters long and 2200 kilograms heavy Audi A8. The buyer doesn't have to make any concessions on comfort and speed.
Furthermore, we developed a new fuel injection system, built on the FSI-engines. It makes the cars more economic and more powerful.
And we think further. The oil stocks of the earth are limited, but we are already prepared for the time after the last barrel of oil has been emptied. We can deliver engines on natural oils like coleseed oil and sunflower oil, based on the diesel technique. And again, no concessions in comfort. By making the burning process more efficient and by advancing the catalysator technique, this technique is as clean as it can be. Currently all diesel engines are fit for use of both conventional diesel and, after some modifications, natural oils.
Also bio-ethanol as fuel was subject of our studies. Currently all engines working according to the Otto principle of both companies are fit for use of both bio-ethanol and petrol-gas, or for LPG and natural gas after some slight modifications.
Research regarding the use of hydrogen as fuel is carried out. We are close to the solution of the storage problem.
As said, safety is important for us. Airbags, for instance, are standard, of course, but the chance that you need them is very small, due to the outstanding roadability of the cars, which can even be ameliorated with ESP and ABS.
An outstanding piece of car technique is the Porsche Carrera GT. Equipped with a 5.7 liter V10 engine producing 610 H.P., Porsche sells a sports wagonpur sang, speeding from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and with a top speed of 330 km/h.
Talking about safety, all cars of the Piëch Gruppe, except the Volkswagen Polo, can be delivered in an armoured version.
Everything possible in car technique, among others the by the Piëch Gruppe developed 4Motion technique (see below, only available in cars from the Piëch Gruppe), has been used to make these cars easy to drive with excellent roadabillity, despite the extra weight of the armour. If the computer technique falls out, then one simple hand manoeuvre inside the cabin of the car is enough to have the engine still functioned. With the 6.0 liter engine, the armoured Audi A8 still can drive 300km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 7 seconds.
Hybrid technology
Tested in all weather situations, from the extreme cold in the upper North to the desert and all climates in between, even in tropical areas, on petrol, natural gas and LPG, we can guarantee the safety and quality of our hybrid system we want to guarantee.
Our hybrid system is available on the Volkswagen Golf and Passat, the Audi A3, A4 and A6, and the Porsche Cayenne. We are studying the possibillity to implement this system in our other cars.
