Details of Preuti-Borussian Peace Negotiations
Much negotiation shall soon take place between Great Engellex and the European Defence Federation in Danmark, before any arrangement of peace can be made for Preuti-Borussia. This organization of these negotiations between the continental powers differs so much so from that which occurred between the Northern Himyari States, that in order to understand the difficulties which have arisen, it is only necessary of one to take note of the details in regard of the negotiations composition.
The head of the Frankish delegation, while not formally leading the Federation’s diplomatic efforts, will no doubt be taking the charge of the Federation’s position at the negotiations, as I understand the other EDF delegates will report to him, and he, or she, shall be treated to a degree of significance by being the primary focus of communication from the Engellexic side to the Federation. This will give the Frankish government effective direction on negotiating with Engellex, though you should be aware that Anglyn will also form a representation of the Federation, leaving Danmark and Eiffelland to participate with the interests of the Germanic League – if only to guarantee the calm of more reactionary Borussian states.
Besides these states, of course, Engellex will preside over the negotiations representing imperial interests through a delegations lead by Viscount Palmerston. While this along forms a situation of immense power and responsibility vested within the Engellexic delegation on the future of Preutien affairs, it is in respect of that reality that the Queen-Empress personally sponsored inviting a Potenzan delegation to observe the proceedings in Danmark. This act was in recognition of Potenza’s position and influence within Preuti-Borussia, and, in part, of the historical relationship between our two states. The measure which the Queen-Empress has proposed is the creation of a Preutien Council for the Conference, consisting of Engellex, Potenza, Breotonia, and Coeurleon, which, while formally observing, can relay concerns and propositions through the Engellexic delegation. By this arrangement the balance of the conference will be completely changed away from a Borussian dominated event, which we feel is certainly most important.
The Northern Secretary anticipates your response with much enthusiasm.
It should also be conveyed that the Cabinet, and, again, the Queen-Empress in particular, were quite energetic in expressing their gratitude at the Potenzan Government’s position on the Europaland Problem.
