Your excellencies,

It is with deep concern and weariness that I have to write such a message for you, that in this day and age of progress, where Natalia might be enjoying the fruits of an economic boom, we have to fight the forces of sectarian regression again.

The psychotic regime in Justosia, which as the INTAF has thoroughly described it as such is under the complete domain of the king, not of their elected representatives is a rogue state that cannot be trusted and it is impossible to see in any other way than a potential aggressor state.

While it plays the role of a great fan of Engell civilisation, trying to flatter the First Republic into creating a false feeling of respect towards Engellkin culture, the Justosian regime continuously harasses the Federation of Natal and we fear that this might be just the first move for a potential attack against Natalia. We fear that considering that there is no communist presence in the Clarencian Sea, the whole idea behind their militarisation program is an aggressive war and thus, following their recent diplomatic communiques that show some king of bipolarity, we feel that Natalia might actually be the target of their aggression.

Thus, we ask for the Engellkin nations to come together again and to form a defence treaty that creates a military union between our nations. Together we will stand strong, divided we will fall. The Federation knows that this call might seem desperate, but Justosia is only one crisis and if we manage to be victorious in this one, we will be more closely knitted and better prepared for the next ones.

The Federation of Natal, and indeed the dark continent as a whole, has long been a subject of intense fascination in the Engellkin cultural consciousness. The efforts by our ancestors, continued unto modernity by the Federation of Natal, to first civilize and now modernize that land is to be commended in no small measure. It is a testament to the resolute nature of our shared pedigree that even so distant from our Thaumantic cradle, our kin strive and struggle to shape our lands and surroundings in the finest image possible of humanity.

This being said, the Unified Colonies cannot commit lightly to a comprehensive defensive agreement involving all Engellkin states. Plethora disagreements exist that must first be quashed before such an accord may be reached. The Old Country remains aloof, in large part, to the affairs of Europe at large - and the Unified Colonies would caution that overt reliance on the magnanimity of the Old World is a dangerous venture. Still, were talks to take place to explore and then solidify such an agreement, then Swanfleet would doubtless partake.

We will go one step further, however.

Irrespective of any such shared pact, or any other agreements made between the Federation of Natal and other powers, the Unified Colonies will forever be a friend. Acts of aggression against Camp Hill will not be tolerated by Swanfleet, and the independence of the Federation will be guaranteed by Colonial force of arms if necessary.

The present and recently remedied circumstances of momentary consternation, delinquency and discord between those forthright nations and as yet wayward territories of the True, Engellexian Civilization being as they may; as may the sentiments of those Competitor Powers who would presume to lecture The First Republic or Her Progeny upon the efficacy or wisdom of any measure of governance or foreign policy; it is and shall remain the opinion of this Office and position of this Administration of this Government of the Confederated Republic that while our nations and territories may be distinct and self-beholden sovereigns - the Blood of the First Republic shall, by the common bonds of affection and destiny
that we share, will we ourselves and our fortunes remain eternally and inextricably kindred.

Though our peoples each and all share that same exalted heritage, it is and has ever been that our two nations have and will continue to enjoy a truly fraternal amity. Rising from our common foundations and historically intertwined development and settlement, it is and ever will be that the interests and security of Beautancus and Natal are complimentary, and so far as can be, conjoined.

As the commitment of the Confederated Republic to this ancestral obligation has borne out, through recent declarations and treaties and those actions already undertaken in pursuit thereof, Beautancus feels it both necessary and prudent to redouble all efforts previously obliged by agreement or treaty to ensure the continued and ever more fortified prosperity and sovereignty of the Federation of Natal. Though we can of course not speak authoritatively or directly on the matter of further affirmation of this forthright and honorable endeavor and initiative on behalf of our other Kindred, we can and will support the Federation in its pursuit.

Let it be that no Competitor Power, however great or small, should presume to meddle in our affairs, to cause any further division between our number, or to fail in recognition that our Engellexian Societies equate in whole with the very concept and reality of Human Civilization - lest it become necessary to demonstrate the full might of our singular or collected Resolve on this and all similar matters. Their names and titles matter little to naught, any and all who would dare to presume themselves our equals must learn the suicidal error of this grave miscalculation.
