Fennian Thaumantic Lines
"Maritime safety and luxury since 1890"

History

Though Fennians have scoured the oceans for centuries, the true origins of modern Fennian seafaring are in the 19th century when an unified Fennian nation ascended to a place equal to the other maritime nations of Europe, and with industrialization and the spirit of entrepreneurial optimism also came a desire to take to the vast blue that had captivated human imagination for many generations. During this period the Fennian Thaumantic Lines saw its foundation, opening on a route between Yrjönlinna and Dulwich, Great Engellex and during the subsequent years expanding to other routes including a regular service between Yrjönlinna and Pyhä Henrik in the colony of New Fennia.

A remarkable innovation pioneered by Fennian Thaumantic has also been recreational liner travel. Since S/S Urho commenced its famous Fennian Coastal Route thousands upon thousands of people have embarked upon our vessels not just for the sake of travel, but also for personal enjoyment and refreshment. After this concept was proven successful we have expanded our recreational and tourist services to cover international destinations as well. During the seventy-year history of the Fennian Thaumantic Line many from different countries have made their way throughout the seas aboard our ships, from migrants looking to find new life in other countries and curious travelers excited about faraway to entrepreneurs expanding the network of global commerce.

Today, Fennian Thaumatic aims to continue this fine tradition of service.

Services

Travel aboard a Fennian Thaumantic liner is not just a mundane experience of transition from one place to another but an experience of comfort and luxury that the ingenuity of modern maritime travel allows us to provide. All Fennian Thaumantic vessels are able to provide travel options corresponding to the amount of cash one is willing to spend, with the conventional options of first, second and third classes in addition to which all our vessels possess a limited selection of special suites that provide an exclusive level of service to their patrons.

The sole exceptions to this are our flagship S/S Fennian Ylpeys and its sister-ship S/S Fennian Unioni, where the third class is entirely absent. Since 1946, the third class cabins aboard these ships have instead been used to accommodate for a higher level of crew that allows the passengers of these ships experience a level of high-quality service previously unknown at sea. These two ships are exclusively used for cruise routes.

Passengers aboard Fennian Thaumantic will experience the highest levels of quality and comfort and are able to use the many amenities aboard our vessels, from restaurants to evening clubs that provide some of the top chefs and performers available in the Fennian Union. Extensive amenities including on-board libraries, swimming pools, bathing areas and deck cafes are available on some of our more well-equipped ships. Wireless communication services are available for business travellers and others in need of ship-to-shore communication.

Officers and crewmen serving aboard Fennian Thaumantic ships are trained to the standards of the Fennian Merchant Marine, ensuring professionalism and safety at seas.

Passenger fleet

The current passenger fleet of Fennian Thaumantic Lines is made up in total of fifteen vessels ranging in capacity and scope from smaller vessels serving continental routes to ocean liners crossing the vast blue, as well as cruise liners solely dedicated to giving their passengers the maximum level of luxury, comfort and service they need.

OOC: You can probably shove in Gamle Kongensted (Faeroerne), Fredrikshavn (mainland) and Ny Roskilde (Implaria).

OOC: You can add Nidaros, Kontordag, Troldhaugen and Visby to the list. I imagine there's plenty of traffic plying Scanian waters!

OOC: You can add Vedrarfjord, Weasfjord, Portcastle and Dawn City from the High Kingdom of Ivernia.
It would be a good way to further solidify Ivernia's connection with Scania and the gothic sea. Passenger ships would be good but I'm also interested in the cargo ship option. Fennian Union cargo moving into central Germania could go through Ivernia.

Due to military conflict in the Faroe Islands S/S Joutsen is, for the time being, ceasing liner service to Gamla Kongensted and will instead operate on the Yrjönlinna-Pyhä Henrik route.
